"Listen up men, among the Dragon Riders we've captured, one was impersonating a Marine officer. So in the future, do not worry about reports all paperwork, if using an unidentified person arrested and immediately!"

"Sir!" the Marines saluted.

At the dock, Able was examining the Going Tiger closely, taking note of the patchwork, especially on the mast. At the same time, the workmen were discussing Snotlout's arrest.

"Did you hear, that black-haired guy that was snooping around was a crew member of the Dragon Riders."

"I wonder what he was doing nosing around this dock?"

"Yeah, there's an entire harbour full of ships that are way better than this sad-looking hunk of junk. He could have hopped in any of the ships and sailed away."

"Pirates are dumber than I thought."

"Me too and I already for they were pretty dumb, to begin with."

After examining the ship, Able made his way off her.

"Hey, already calling it quits for the day Able?" said workmen.

"Cut this old geezer some slack, will ya?" he said as he walked off.

"Did he say geezer?" said the workmen looking at the others.

"We must have heard wrong."

They all laughed.

Hiccup and Ragnar were still sneaking around the base, trying to find their captured comrades.

"This fortress is really starting to drive me nuts," said Ragnar.

"Finding the brig is certainly going to be a challenge no doubt," Hiccup agreed.

"Any ideas where to start?"

Hiccup looked at the island in the middle of the bay. "I'm willing to bet that there probably the most fortified area of the entire base."

"You might be onto something," said Ragnar. "It is surrounded by the sea, and the only way to get there is to cross that bridge. It won't be easy, but we've got to try."

They then heard a door opening followed by a series of footsteps.

"This plan is already a pain in the neck," said Ragnar.

They quickly climbed into the vents and watched as a Marine turn round the corner. Then a few seconds later, they heard the sound of a transponder snail.

The Marine then pulled out said transponder snail. "Sir, I'm in section 4, Block F. There's nothing unusual to report."

"Good work, keep searching."

"Yes, sir!"

"Crap, the patrols are using mini transponder snails to communicate, this will be tough," said Ragnar.

"I suggest that we stick to the ventilation shaft," said Hiccup. "It may be a cliche, but it is the best way to get around the base without being noticed."

Ragnar nodded in agreement.

Meanwhile a Marine was moving several crates down a corridor when he suddenly banged into something. He looked down and saw lying down on the ground was Major Shepherd, but he did not know this as he no longer had a uniform or ID.

He then quickly ran off in order to inform his superiors of what he had discovered and no sooner had he left Major Shepherd began to regain consciousness.

"What the?" he said as he tried to recollect what happened.

Then when he turned his head, he saw several Marines pointing rifles at him.

"Don't move."

Heather meanwhile was continuing her research on the base while continuing to be Major Shepherd.

'This is strange, there's times when no ships enter or leave,' she noted as she looked through the manifest. 'Why is that?'

She then saw a shadow moving behind one of the bookshelves, and that's when she knew she was being watched. Despite the disguise, she doubted that it would fool anyone for very long, especially when they discovered the real Inspector.

'I'm being watched,' she said.

The real Major Shepherd was taken to the brig and was placed in the same cell as Toothless and the others. Of course, he wasn't too happy about this and kept on yelling at the Marines constantly.

"What do you think you're doing, soldier?" he yelled. "Do you peons know who I am?"

The Marines merely smirked.

"Oh yeah, you make sure to tell us over and over. Your Special Inspector Major Shepherd from HQ, right?"

"If you know who I am, and if you value your job, then get me out of here! I need to speak to Commander Jonathan immediately!"

Snotlout frowned as he recognised the name. 'Major Shepherd? This must be the Marine bigwig that Heather was pretending to be. Those guards think that he one of us.' He then smiled evilly. 'In that case.'

"That's enough, you're embarrassing yourself," said Snotlout as he leaned back casually. "A man's got to know when he's done for, struggling with only make it worse. Good to see you, Condoriano."

"Condoriano?" said Shepherd confused. "Who is that? What are you talking about?"

"Hey now, stop kidding around very old buddy old pal," said Snotlout as he made his way towards him. "Don't forget you already forgot your own name and my beautiful face?"

"I'm not your buddy!" Shepherd snapped as he rose to his feet. "Soldier, I do not know this man!"

"What happened to you?" Snotlout frowned. "Did the fall damage your fragile brain? Oh no, say it is not so! How sad, I'm begging you, please let this wrench with a broken mind out of here, he's not the same Condoriano that I once knew!"

The Marines then started to look at one another.

"Well, that settles it."

"Yep, no point in interrogating him."

Shepherd was utterly horrified instead of them. "What do you lemmings mean that settles it?" He then watched as they began to walk off. "Wait, where are you going? I'm ordering you! Come back, I'll have you court-martialed!"

"Condoriano," said Toothless.

Shepherd turned around and saw Toothless had made his way over towards him and a split second later he head-butted him so hard that he knocked him out cold.

"I think we all have had enough of that crap," said Toothless.

"Nice move, Toothless," Snotlout smiled. 'It worked, you owe me big-time Heather.'

"Will you stop it, Snotlout," said Toothless as he sat back down. "You're creeping me out."

"And us," twins added.

"Commander, we haven't received a single report about Hiccup or the other Dragon Riders," said Drake. Jonathan looked down at the chessboard. "Have you decided on a course of action yet?"

"My guess is they're having a hard time finding the brig," said Jonathan. "Maybe we should guide them to it. Take your men to the brig and wait for them there, but be careful of the spring the trap too soon."

"Sir," Drake nodded.

Drake then left in order to put the plan into motion, and Jonathan placed the King and Bishop back onto the board.

"This is a battle of wits Hiccup," he smiled. "Let's see which one of us comes out on top."

Hiccup and Ragnar had managed to get back outside and were now climbing the steps towards the bridge to get to the middle island. However, when they got the top found the place completely surrounded, there was no way they could sneak their way through.

"Damnit, we're going to have to fight our way through," said Ragnar.

"Maybe not, the underside of the bridge doesn't seem to be guarded," Hiccup noted.

"Then that's our way in," said Ragnar.

With that the two of them began making their way down to the underside of the bridge.

In his office, Jonathan was waiting to receive any kind of report, and that's when the transponder snail began to ring.

"This is Commander Jonathan," he said speaking into the receiver.

"Reporting in, sir. The suspect we took into custody earlier was identified by the black-haired man as a Dragon Rider named Condoriano."

"Condoriano?" Jonathan frowned.

"Yes, sir. He has repeatedly claimed that he Special Inspector Shepherd, but we now know that he was lying."

"Very good, keep me updated."

Jonathan wrested the receiver back onto the transponder snail and sat back down pondering.

"There are two Shepherds," said Jonathan and then looked back down on the board. "Your move Hiccup."

In the brig, Snotlout took note that the guards seem to have left.

"Hey, Toothless, you get the feeling that something's not right here?" he asked.

"There is tension in the air," Toothless agreed. "I feel it."

"Where are all the guards?" said Ruffnut looking around. "I mean they've got fo—I am five dangerous criminals here."

"Maybe they're planning a surprise party," said Tuffnut.

Tuffnut wasn't too far off the mark as the guards were preparing an ambush for Hiccup or anyone else that would rescue them. They then heard footsteps as someone began making their way down the steps that led to the entrance and win the stepped into the light Drake gave the order.

Instantly the Marines began warming the intruder with swords at the ready, but then they discovered that it was only Able.

"Huh, Able?"

"Yeah, the guy from the docks."

"What?" Drake stared bewildered. "What are you doing here you crazy old fart?"

"I came down here to ask a question, that's all," he said, and then he looked at the Marines. "There's no need for those sorts, put them away."

Knowing that he wasn't afraid, the Marines sheathed their blades.

'It's a trap,' said Toothless.

"So your question?" Drake asked.

"It's not for you, I need at all the black-haired young man in that cell over there," Able gestured.

Drake looked absolutely furious. "Wait, you can't just walk in here and start talking to the prisoners!"

"It won't take long, I'll be gone before you know it," he said as he made his way over to Snotlout. He then bent down towards him. "Hey."

Snotlout recognised him. You're that guy from—"

Drake was absolutely furious, but he humoured the old man, and the Marines just looked at one another confused.

"Did anything happen to the Tiger, is she all right?" Snotlout asked.

"Don't worry she's in good hands, for the time being, I promise," Able assured him. "Your ship is okay."

Snotlout sighed with relief. "What a relief."

"Are you the one that that the repairs on that ship?"

"Uh… well…"

"You've got to do something about those masts plates if you nail still plates down without implying a proper splice the mast was split like a twig over the first sign of a strong wind."

"The splice?" Snotlout blinked.

"Really? You don't know what splices?"

"Actually, I'm just the helmsman our captain is the one that does the repairs," Snotlout explained. "Though even he admits that he is not a proper shipwright. Besides, the one that really fixed the ship…"

He then explained seeing a ghostly figure he saw hammering away on the Tiger up in the Sky Islands.

"Did you do all the repairs in just one night?" Able asked

"Yeah, it happened in a place called Sky Island that is miles and miles above the ocean."

"Miles above the ocean?"

"Yeah, yeah, it's okay if you don't believe me. I mean, who would?"

"Well, come to think of it your ship did fall out of the sky at a great height, didn't it?"

Snotlout blinked. "What? You're not going to call me a liar?"

"That'll be a first," Ruffnut muttered.

"I might have for you were pulling my leg if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes," said Able. "But considering the angle it came down it looked like your ship fell from a considerable height."

"It was crazy, there were gods and angels," said Snotlout thinking back. "We saw things up there I would never even dream of."

"Gods and angels?" Able laughed. "It sounds like you guys died and came back to life."

"There were close calls, but I don't think any of us actually died."

The two of them then laughed, and Drake was starting to lose his temper. Hiccup or any of the other Dragon Riders could enter at any moment, and Able was putting the plan into jeopardy.

"All right about what you were saying earlier, think back to the night that the mystery man repaired your ship. Tell me, did he appear from the mist late in the night?"

Snotlout's eyes widened. "Yeah, he did. How in the world did you know that? Hold on, do you know who this guy is?"

"I think I know what you saw that night," said Able.

Snotlout nodded and listened intently.

However, before Able could explain any further Marines appeared and began dragging him away.

"Hey, what's going on?" he yelled.

"Times up old man," said Drake. "We've got business to attend to hear, show him the way out."

"Yes, sir."

"No, stop!" Able yelled as he struggled.

"Wait, Able tell me what I saw that night! Please, tell me!" Snotlout yelled.

"I didn't get a chance to tell you that the most important thing at all!" Able yelled back. "Tell your captain when you make repairs to the ship always make special attention to the part you normally wouldn't bother with! Those are the areas that need it most! If you treasure that ship half as much as I think you do, you'll do well to never forget that! Did you get all that?"

"Yeah, I got it, old man!" Snotlout yelled. "And I'll be sure that our captain that!"

Hiccup and Ragnar had finally crossed the bridge and were opposite the brig entrance and that when they saw the Marines leading Able outside.

"At least we know someone's inside," said Hiccup.

"I don't like it, something definitely seems fishy about that place," said Ragnar then looked back at the bridge. "The path that we took to get here was completely unguarded, it's like they're showing us where to go."

"Yeah, and I don't any guards manning the pillboxes," Hiccup noted. "This points to all the signs that were walking right into a trap."

"Guess they decided to save time, I mean if we go in there carelessly will literally walk into a jail cell," said Ragnar.

"True, but on the other and we have to rescue them at one point or another," Hiccup pointed out. "We could wait a bit longer, but that'll only strengthen their defences."

"I'm not a big fan of this idea, but it's better than doing nothing," said Ragnar looking at him.

With no other options, they both reluctantly made their way towards the entrance to the break and began making their way down a series of corridors.

Toothless and the others could hear footsteps from inside their cells, but alas, so could the Marines.

"That's got to be some of our crewmates," said Snotlout. "Guys, we're down here!"

"Snotlout, the guards known they're coming to," Toothless pointed out.

Snotlout panicked realising they're about to walk into a trap. "But if they don't come who will rescue us?"

"It is certainly a conundrum," said Tuffnut.

"Yeah, should they rescue us or not?" Ruffnut pondered.

Snotlout had already made up his mind. "Rescue us!"

"I hear voices," said Hiccup as they made their way down the stairs.

"We're in here," said Snotlout.

Hiccup and Ragnar approached the self and Hiccup recognise the metal on the bars.

"Sea Prism Stone," said Hiccup. "I won't be able to open them by force."

"We've been waiting for you," said Drake as he and his men came out of the shadows. "Surrender peacefully, and I might let you live."

"You're kidding me, right?" Ragnar smiled, looking at them. "Do you seriously think that's enough to stop us?"

"Is this another enough for you?" said the Chief Petty Officer as his men came out of the shadows aimed with rifles.

"Now I'm shaking in my boots," Ragnar smirked. However, the rifles did present a bit of a problem. 'Okay now, what do we do? First things first.'

Ragnar then began kicking the cell door.

"What the?" Drake stared.

The Chief Petty Officer merely smirked. "Oh, this is good. It would take nothing short of a cannon to break those bars down."

Ragnar kicked it a few more times, but still, it wouldn't budge. "Oh man, that's one tough cage."

Hiccup eyes lit up. "A cannon? Might have something that can help, I have an Impact Dial. We can use it to blow up these bars."

"Hold on, and Impact Dial?" said Ragnar already seeing a problem with that plan. "Doesn't that also heard the one that uses it? Also, you can't get anywhere near those bars, so I'm the one who's going to have to use it."

"You got a better idea?" Hiccup asked.

"No," said Ragnar grudgingly.

Drake just looked at them confused. "What could those Dragon Rider Pirates be up to now? This is your last warning!"

Hiccup began turning out his pocket, and he had a good number of dials, but he had only received them recently and I idea which was which.

"Which one is the Impact Dial?" he said.

"Shells?" Drake frowned.

Ragnar had a feeling that the Marines weren't going to wake him to figure that one out and quickly grabbed one of the dials that he pulled out.

"Let's give this one a shot," he said. He then approached the cell door and looked at Snotlout. "That might not be the best place to stand."

Snotlout remember the power of an Impact Dial and quickly backed away from the bars.

Hiccup still wasn't certain whether there was the correct dial. "Ragnar I don't think that an Impact Dial I think it's a…"

Ragnar then pressed on the apex, and then a foul-smelling odour filled the entire brig.

"…Odour Dial," Hiccup finished pinching his nose.

"Argh, this smells like…" said Drake following his example.

"So bad," said the Chief Petty Officer.

Hiccup knew what was causing the smell. "What kind of juvenile barbarian would store a fart in an Odour Dial?"

"We thought it would be funny," said Ruffnut and her brother nodded in agreement.

"Why did I even ask?" Hiccup groaned.

Ragnar's eyes then turned towards the lamps, and his eyes widened in horror. "Watch out it's going to blow! Get down!"

The lamps' flames immediately ignited the methane, and seconds later, there was a series of large explosions. The soldiers outside were utterly stunned when a hubcap shot out of the air from the blast.

"There was an explosion in the brig!" said the lieutenant as everyone began to scramble. "This is not a drill, let's move!"

The explosion had indeed been powerful, powerful enough to completely blow off the cell doors.

"You guys, okay?" Ragnar asked.

"Well, the cell doors are open," Hiccup groaned rubbing his head.

"Yeah, I guess you could say that," said Toothless as he began to remain what remained of his wooden stocks, which had shattered due to the explosion.

Hiccup and Ragnar then began breaking the wooden stocks on Snotlout and the twins while Toothless retrieved his sword.

"There's Marines long stay down for long, best to get moving," said Hiccup.

"You heard the man hassle it!" Ragnar yelled.

With that, all of them began running down the passageway with Hiccup leading the way.

Drake and the other Marines began to regain consciousness, with a massive bang in their ears.

"Is everyone alive?" Drake asked.

"Yeah, I think so."

"Good, those of you can move come with me. We're going after the Dragon Riders, no escape reinforcements are already waiting for them outside. We'll capture them again and execute them on the spot."

Drake on the Marines quickly made their way towards the entrance, but when they got outside they were greeted by the Marine reinforcements in the was no sign of the Dragon Riders.

"So why didn't we head to the front door?" Snotlout asked as they ran down a corridor.

"Because we would have been greeted by Marine reinforcements," said Hiccup.

"Yeah, but where are we?" Ragnar asked.

"Just keep running," said Toothless.

Drake then contacted Jonathan in order to inform him of the prison break.

"Commander, I failed," he reported sadly. "Dragon Conqueror Hiccup has managed to escape the trap."

"What about his crew members? Toothless and the others with him?"

"Yes, sir… I mean, no, sir," said Drake. "Well, uh… witnesses reported that they did not see Condoriano with them."

Jonathan smiled. "Well, Lieutenant Commander the brig is still guarded, is it not?"

"Uh, yes, sir."

"Very good then don't panic, we still have plenty of opportunities to capture them."

Heather was still in the archives and noticed a lot of movement among the Marines that were watching. She had a pretty good idea to what was causing all the ruckus.

'Well, sounds like the boys made their move.'
