Before they had reached Dock 88, Hiccup and the others were still running down the corridor.

"Are you sure whether the right way?" Toothless asked, looking back at Snotlout.

"Don't worry, we're definitely heading the right way, just keep moving," said Snotlout. "I recognise that wall Tiger is just around the corner."

'Something is wrong,' said Toothless noting the absence of the Marines. 'This is way too easy.'

Hiccup felt the same way. "Everyone stay alert, I have a feeling the Marines are just around the corner."

Hiccup wasn't wrong, the moment they turned the corner they saw Drake with a good number of Marines blocking their path to the Tiger.

"We're busted," said Ragnar.

"I knew it was an ambush," said Toothless.

"Guess we should feel honoured that they would all this trouble to cut us," said Ruffnut.

"Sniper Team 7 to the front!" Drake ordered. "Shooters, take aim!"

"No, don't aim!" Snotlout panicked.

"Fire!" Drake ordered.

The snipers then immediately fired their rifles, but Hiccup quickly transformed into his hybrid form and spread his wings out.

"Wing Blast!" he yelled, flapping his wings as hard as he could.

The powerful gust of wind created by his wings repelled the bullets, but Drake remained unfazed as the other Marines ducked.

"Cannon Team 12 to the front!" Drake ordered as the snipers were immediately replaced with cannoneers.

"Great, bazookas," said Toothless.

"Fire!" Drake ordered.

The cannoneers immediately fired, but they weren't firing cannonballs. Instead, they had fired gas canisters, and the moment the gas touched their eyes, they immediately began to sting.

"Uh, my eyes," Ragnar groaned. "What is this?"

"Teargas," Hiccup groaned.

"Sword Unit to the front! Drake ordered as the cannoneers were switched with swordsmen. "Attack!"

The swordsmen then immediately charge towards them with their swords drawn wearing goggles over their eyes. With protective eyewear, they were immune to the teargas, and Ragnar nearly got his head chopped off if he hadn't been a few seconds faster to avoid his swings. He then quickly placed a hand on the ground and spun around, kicking them in the face.

Another swordsman then attempted to attack from behind, but Hiccup saved in with a plasma blast. He had his eyes firmly shut, but using his echolocation ability was able to pinpoint the swordsmen without relying on his eyes.

"Nice shot," said Ragnar.

"Take this," said Hiccup tossing him a pair of goggles.

"Thanks," Ragnar smiled placement on his face.

Toothless, his eyes firmly shut and relied on his other senses as he began attacking the Marines.

"Dragon Twister!" he yelled and unleashing a powerful shockwave that sent several Marines flying. "I don't rely on my eyes, so you're going to do better than that."

Hiccup then immediately moved in, began engaging the Marines in hand-to-hand combat. Thanks to his echolocation ability, he could get a good read on where all the Marines were emphatically clear the portion of the room all by himself.

"Couldn't you have left some for the rest of us?" Snotlout asked.

Hiccup reverted back to his human form and looked at him. "There's an entire dark field with Marines, help yourself."

"Fire!" Drake ordered.

Marine then fired a cannon and launched a net which wrapped itself around Hiccup in chasing him.

"Hiccup!" Ragnar yelled.

"Stay right where you are," said Drake. "It says dead or alive your wanted posters, here at G8 we leaned towards alive. However, if you insist on meeting us with further resistance, I'll be forced to amend that policy."

They all looked around and saw they were completely surrounded, it Marines on the ground when bad enough there were plenty of marksmen above them.

"Hiccup, can't you transform and get yourself out of that!" Snotlout yelled.

"What do you think I been trying to do, this net is sapping my strength," said Hiccup.

"Sea Prism Stone?" said Toothless.

"Precisely, especially designed person net bomb," Drake smiled. "So, Dragon, what do you think?"

Able climbed a ladder within the dock and looked down and saw Snotlout standing there with the others.

"How did I know he'd be here," he smiled.

"What are you doing?" said a Marine above him. "This isn't a drill, get to your station!"

"Ha, blow it out of your rifle!" he said.

The situation wasn't looking good; they were completely surrounded, and Hiccup was trapped in the net.

"Look at this, there's a sea of them left after the ones we took out," said Ragnar.

"Make this easy and give up, escaping here alive is impossible," said Drake and then looked to his men. "Positions!"

"Damn, we've got no choice," said Toothless.

The Marines were aiming their rifles and drew their swords.

"Attack!" Drake ordered.

However, before any of them could take a step forward, Astrid and her group entered the dock.

"What the hell?" Astrid stared.

"Guess they were here," said Chopper.

"Yeah, along with a good number of Marines," Fishlegs noted.

Able then saw Lily with Astrid. "Lily?"

The Marines just are there in shock template forgetting about the pirates in front of them.

"Lieutenant-Commander," a Marine whispered.

Drake shook his head and immediately looked at the two nurses in front of him. "Identify yourselves!"

Lily then immediately began to scream, which was loud enough to shatter glass.

"What's the matter with you?" Astrid hissed.

"We've taken hostage, and we're going to die!" Lily yelled; she then looked at Astrid and winked. "Please save us! It wasn't our fault, we were forced against our will!"

"Lily?" Chopper blinked confused as he transformed into his human form.

"What are you doing?" Fishlegs frowned as he sat up.

Astrid then began to scream as well. "These two are holding us hostage!"

"Am I missing something?" Tuffnut asked.

"No, I'm completely lost too," said Ruffnut.

"That makes three of us," said Snotlout.

"Who's that other girl?" Toothless asked.

"No clue," said Ragnar.

The Marines somehow bought Lily and Astrid terrible acting and were now looking concerned.

"We can't go in blasting not with the hostages there," said a Marine.

"Curse those cowardly vermin," said Drake gritting his teeth. "This is precisely why I hate pirates."

"Sir, that must mean that giant beast must be the doctor from before," said a Marine.

"Yeah, he has to be the sitting next to his crewmate."

Thankfully it finally dawned on both Fishlegs and Chopper what the two girls were playing at.

"That's right we're rough and tough members of the Dragon Riders," said Chopper trying to look menacing.

"Yeah, if they don't do exactly what we say these hostages are doomed!" Fishlegs yelled threateningly.

"Now all your buffoons to stand down and left board our ship!" Chopper demanded.

"Now I get it," said Toothless smiling.

"Interesting," said Ragnar.

"Can you fill us in?" Snotlout asked gesturing to himself and the twins.

"It is pretty obvious," said Ruffnut.

"Yeah, Astrid pretending to be a hostage and somehow got that girl to play along so that we can get our ship," said Tuffnut.

"Do it!" Fishlegs yelled. "Or else will crush these two girls skulls."

"I do what he said if I were you," Toothless advice. "He's deadly serious."

"How would it look if you are the righteous arm of the Justice let two women die?" Ragnar asked.

"Oh, and do you think someone can get me out of this?" Hiccup asked.

Drake and his men just stood there rigid, they couldn't open fire or else they would kill the hostages.

"He's going to kill us!" Lily cried.

"Please do what he says!" Astrid pleaded.

Meanwhile, Jessica was yelling at the Marley Brothers, who had finally managed to locate the kitchen, as they were preparing a meal.

"No, no faster!" she ordered. "How many times do I have to go over this? We have 1000 miles to feed, speed is of the essence!" She then began hitting the two of them with a ladle. "Pick it up or pack it up!"

"You didn't need to hit us," said the fat cook rubbing his head.

"Oh really, so you have a grievance?" she said, looking at them threateningly. "Because let me be clear, but asked you to muttons need to prove yourself worthy of being in this kitchen. Now get over there and peel the potatoes all 3000!"

The other cooks just looked at Jessica and then looked at one another.

"Is it just me or is Jessica a little tense?" said Tom

"She's having trouble coming to terms with the fact that our star cook turned out to be a pirate," said Billy.

"And the fact that the real new guys are nothing but incompetent losers," said Sam

Jessica then turned on them. "Another word and I'll boil tongues!"

"Yes, ma'am," they gulped.

"Hey, Billy, why don't you do me a favour and try out the special source," said Tom and Billy tasted it. "Pretty amazing stuff ain't it?" However, Billy just frowned at the taste of it. "Well…"

Billy frowned. "It tastes good. Honestly, it does."

"Not to be a jerk, but isn't that our house source?" Tom asked.

Billy nodded. "Precisely, yeah."

"You know what? That pirate may have lied about his name, but there's absolutely no question in his culinary skills. I mean, we are good cooks, but he had real flair."

"He did have flair that's for sure," Billy agreed. "A shame."

"Damnit, what did he do differently?" Sam asked.

The soup Chef their conversation and then made his way over to Jessica. "Jessica."

"Yes, what?" Jessica asked.

"Perhaps this could be of some use," said the soup Chef holding out a piece of paper. "It seems he left some detailed notes of recipes for various dishes that he prepared."

"The pirate left us what?" Tom stared.

"His full recipes?" Billy stared openmouthed.

"Yeah, come to think of it," said Sam remembering that Ragnar had promised to write down some of his recipes.

Jessica just narrowed her eyes. "What makes you think I care?"

The soup Chef just backed away. "I…uh, I was hoping… well since he did leave it what would be the harm of using a few?"

Jessica looked at him, furiously. "Idiot! Give me that!" She then snatched the list of recipes and glared at all of them. "Utterly pathetic, all of you and you dare stand there and call yourselves loyal to Navarone? If you accept this pirate's help, if you use one note on this page, then you betray our heritage!"

The Marley Brothers then gingerly made their way towards her.

"Sorry," said the tall cook.

"Forgive us, Madam it's just that—"

Jessica slowly turned towards them and then discovered that they had chop the potatoes up instead of peeling them.

"What the hell is this?" she yelled. "Can't you fall even handle a simple task like peeling potatoes! Even the Dragon Rider Captain knew how to peel them!"

"Uh, our men did it," said the tall cook.

"Exactly, they always turn out like—"

Jessica glared at them. "Listen! This kitchen of the battlefield, in case you haven't noticed we don't have any food to waste! Every scrap of food is a vital resource!"

She then stopped herself realising that she was quoting Ragnar, which infuriated her.

"Are you okay?" the tall cook asked.

"Silence!" she yelled at them. "Reported dishwashing and do it immediately!"

The two brothers then immediately ran after dishwashing.

Meanwhile, there was still quite a stand-off between the Marines and the Dragon Riders.

"Uh, Commander?" said a Marine gingerly.

"Fine, you win," said Drake through gritted teeth. "Lower your weapons and withdraw. Stand down now!" The Marines were rather perplexed. "I said, withdraw!"

"Please, sir," a Marine whispered.

"We can't risk it," said Drake.

The Marines then slowly began to back away from the Dragon Riders.

"Wow, they actually complied?" said Ragnar surprised.

"Let's hope so," said Toothless, who felt that this was far too easy.

He then approached Hiccup, drew Light Fury and sliced the net off of him.

"Thanks, Toothless," said Hiccup as he picked himself up.

The workmen were watching everything from a safe distance.

"Hey, guys I swear I just heard Lily's voice."

"Yeah, man. I heard it too."

"Able?" said the workmen noticing Able was running towards them. "What's going on up there?"

"Lily's been held hostage," he said.

"You kidding me? Oh, Able, that's terrible news!"

"It's nothing to worry about," said Able dismissively. "I can tell when my daughter is really upset, but what makes me nervous is all those sword-wielding grunts."

The Marines had cut a path for the Dragon Riders to their ship.

"We have complied with your demands, now release the hostages," said Drake.

"It worked, we did it," Fishlegs smiled.

"Not yet," Astrid whispered. "And stay in character!"

"You don't give the orders here, these women will only be released after we escaped," said Chopper.

"You spineless…" Drake growled furiously.

A Marine then lean into his ear. "It's done, Sir. Unit 17 is on standby and awaiting orders."

"Good, stay alert and wait for my signal," Drake whispered and then turned and faced the Dragon Riders. "We won't try to stop you! You're free to go!"

"Very accommodating," said Toothless suspiciously.

Without they slowly began making their way towards the ship, even a close eye on all the Marines. At the same time, Able left his men and began making his way to the dock controls.

Hiccup noticed that a few Marines were actually following them within the crowd, it became clear to him that they would try to free the hostages before they reached the ship.

"Everyone run to the ship on my signal," he ordered.

"You notice it as well?" said Toothless.

"Yeah, I'll try to carry some of us in my dragon form," said Hiccup.

Ragnar got the message. "I get it."

A Marine approached Drake. "Lieutenant-Commander?"

"Easy soldier, the situation is dire," said Drake calmly. "If it doesn't work, the responsibility is mine alone."

Unbeknownst to the Marines and the Dragon Riders, Able was releasing the clamps on the Going Tiger.

The Dragon Riders then immediately stopped when they heard the sound of someone dropping their rifle.

"Whoops, how clumsy of me," said the Marine as he bent down to pick up.

"That was quite suspicious," said Astrid.

While everyone is back was turned Marines snuck up behind Lily grabbed her, making sure to place a hand over her mouth so that she wouldn't scream. Astrid spun around and saw secondary, making his way towards her and out of instinct punched him in the face.

"What's that girl doing?" Drake stared.

"They made a grab at Astrid," said Ragnar.

"Everyone run to the ship," said Hiccup.

"All in men, bring me those pirates!" Drake ordered.

"I knew he would try something," said Able as he pulled down on the lever to release the ship.

The Marines were now charging at the Dragon Riders, but then, to everyone's astonishment, the Going Tiger was released from the dock.

"Go, kid," Able smiled.

Hiccup blinked and looked at everyone else. "What are you standing around, forget to the ship!"

The Dragon Rider shook their heads and then quickly dashed towards the Going Tiger. Hiccup then quickly transformed into his dragon form and took off, grabbing Astrid with his claws. Chopper transponders hybrid form and Fishlegs grabbed him jumping on Hiccup's back, and Snotlout did the same thing. Leaving Toothless, Ragnar and the twins to run to the ship under their own steam.

Fortunately, the Marines were still rather bewildered about the ship being released that they didn't react until it was too late. Everyone managed to get onto the ship just as the Going Tiger landed in the water.

"Don't let them escape!" Drake yelled. "All units open fire!"

"Sir, they're still holding hostage!"

"Warning shots!"

The Marines then began firing, but the Dragon Riders were unfazed by the warning shots.

"Looks like they still believe that you're a hostage Astrid," Hiccup noted.

"Then let's use this opportunity and get out of here," said Astrid.

They began sailing around the cove as they heard sirens alerting the Marines manning the cannons of the situation.

"Straight ahead, isn't that the pirate ship?"

"Yeah, and we got them dead on our sites," said a Marine looking through his binoculars. "Why won't they give the order to attack?"

"I hear they have a hostage, some nurse they captured. Poor woman must be losing her mind to be handled by such filth. Pirates, I wish we could signal a whole lot of them."

The Marine with the binoculars then saw Astrid on the deck. "I think I spotted her. Yeah, the hostage is safe." He then frowned as he lifted Astrid was giving orders to the crew. "Giving them orders?"

Drake was absolutely furious, they have a Dragon rising the palm of their hand, and they let them slip away.

"What a fiasco!" he yelled, smashing his telescope on the ground. "The ships ready to launch?"

"Almost a few minutes more."

"Daddy," said Lily's voice and Drake so that she was standing next to her father.

"Lily, now this is how I like to see my baby girl… safe and sound," he smiled.

"You release the ship, didn't you old man?" said Drake advancing on Able. "You caused a real mess this time, and I can assure you that you will be punished."

"What father in his right mind would sit idly by and watch his daughter in harm's way when he could stop it?" Able questioned.

"A plan was underway," Drake growled. "Lily would have been rescued, we had it under control."

"And the other girl? You completely botched her rescue, I wasn't willing to risk my daughter as collateral damage. You could learn a thing or two from Commander Jonathan."

Drake was absolutely furious, and then a Marine approached him. "Sir, I have some more information about the hostage. Intel suggests… the hostage might actually be a crew of the Dragon Riders Pirates."

Drake turned on him. "She's what?"

Heather had left the archives with a map of the entire base.

"Halt, Inspector," said a Marine aiming a rifle at her. "What's your destination? I'm under orders to investigate all passers-by."

Heather looked at him. "I don't believe I'm required to report my actions."

Then appearing around the opposite corner with several more Marines with rifles.

"Yes, but we are," said the Marine.

Heather smiled. "Fine. Tell the Commander that I had fun playing him, he was an easy mark."

"Screw you!" said the Marine aiming at her.

However, before he could fire a pair of arms appeared on his shoulders and grabbed the base of his chin. Seconds later, he blacked out a large shock of pain and collapsed, the other Marines suffer the same thing by Heather's hands.

"I guess I will be needing this disguise any longer," she said, removing her coat.

Hiccup and the others were meanwhile sailing rather close to the cliff.

"Why are we hugging the edge of this cliff?" Toothless asked.

"Protection," said Astrid. "We would have cannons blasting at us at both sides if we went through the middle."

"I'm still confused on how the ship started moving on its own," said Fishlegs scratching the top of his head.

"If I had to guess, I'd say it's the old maintenance guy," said Snotlout.

"Why is that?"

"Just a feeling."

As they were sailing, Hiccup noticed Jonathan looking down at them from his balcony and noticed that he was oddly calm.

"The point is we escaped, but we don't have any maps or charts," said Astrid folding her arms.

"Yeah, could you guys have waited a bit longer before you did your little jailbreak?" Fishlegs asked.

Hiccup merely smiled. "I think you are forgetting that there is one member of our crew who has yet to join us."

"And she appears to be swinging this way as we speak," Ragnar added.

Ragnar wasn't kidding, Heather was swinging towards them using several of her arms like a rope.

"So Major Shepherd was a fake, where is she now?" Jonathan asked over his transponder snail.

"I'm sorry, sir," said the Marine on the other side. "She got away."

"You're not at fault here, soldier. I have a habit of letting my guard down around pretty women."

"Sir? Anyway, this makes a total of nine accomplices, were currently searching for the last one."

"No need you can stop looking, I located her," said Jonathan.

"Sir?"

"I called the medical station, they said that all their nursing staff has all been accounted for."

Heather landed on the ship and immediately handed Fishlegs with a map of the base.

"This is a map of the fortress," said Fishlegs smiling.

"I thought you might find it useful," said Heather.

Astrid looked at Hiccup amazed. "How did you know that she was going to get a map of the place?"

"Just a feeling," Hiccup shrugged.

Then suddenly they heard the sound of cannonballs as they were being fired upon.

"They're shooting at us!" Tuffnut yelled.

"I thought they weren't going to attack us because we had a hostage?" Snotlout frowned as he steered the ship.

"We knew it was only going to be a matter of time before they figured out!" Astrid yelled.

"We also know they would also send warships after us?" Ruffnut asked, pointing behind them.

Sure enough, sailing towards them were warships at least three of them and leading them was Drake.

"There is no hostage onboard, open fire!" Drake ordered. "I repeat all cannons are free to fire at will!"

Hiccup and the others were still sailing, and now with a map, they knew where their the exit was.

"There that's our exit the Seagate!" Fishlegs yelled, pointing at the Seagate.

"Ragnar prepare a bow cannon!" Hiccup ordered. "Snotlout, make extra certain that you follow Fishlegs' orders!"

"Why do I have to listen to, Fishface?" Snotlout asked.

"Because he's our navigator!" Astrid snapped.

"This is the basis only way out," said Fishlegs looking down at the map. "We'll have to break through that gate, but the shore markings can't be right. The water is just way too shallow, so why could port here? It's wrong." He then looked at the water, and it seemed perfectly normal. "Something doesn't make sense."

Jonathan was at his desk, being informed of the current situation.

"I see, it's all clear on your end," said Jonathan talking to the cannoneers that were manning the Seagate cannons. "All good, keep watching don't fire until I give the order."

The Marine then approached him and saluted." Priority reports, Sir. We have confirmation that the pirate ship has reached the Seagate."

"Checkmate," Jonathan smiled. "Your time is up Dragon Conqueror, and inevitably, you will lose."

The warships were still firing cannons at them along with the cannoneers on the cliffs. To make matters even worse, the twins had just informed them they had no cannonballs.

"You're saying we have no cannonballs?" Astrid stared.

"Not a one," said Ruffnut.

"Not even the box they came in," said Tuffnut.

Heather didn't look too surprised. "Well, that's hardly surprising given that they confiscated the Going Tiger."

"What do we do?" Snotlout asked. "We can't bust through that gate without some serious firepower."

"We can, but we have to be smart about it," said Toothless.

"All we've got to do is gain control of that gatehouse," said Ragnar.

"That's not going to be easy," said Astrid.

"Don't worry, I've got a great idea," said Hiccup.

Hiccup then transformed into his dragon form in took off straight towards the gate, he was moving so fast that the cannoneers what he wouldn't get a good fix on him. He then performed a bowel roll as he got close and close to the gate.

"Plasma Barrage!" he yelled, firing off consists of volley of plasma blasts.

The blasts struck the Seagate, and then there were a series of explosions which resulted in it being completely destroyed.

"It worked," said Astrid smiling.

"That's one way to do it," said Fishlegs.

Hiccup then flew back to the ship and reverted back to his human form. "Now set sail!" He then looked in the direction of Jonathan's office. "You know something you said keeps bothering me. He asked me whether I believe that I could escape with my treasure, why would he say that?"

Astrid looked at him and then looked back at the explosion. "Wait, if they took the cannonballs…" Her eyes widened in horror as she immediately went below deck and her fears were confirmed. "We've been had! Our treasure is gone!"
