Fishlegs and Ragnar had reached the other side of the bay and had found the waver in the tallgrass.
"Found it," said Fishlegs.
"Good, if things are going as planned Hiccup and the others should recover the golden making their way back to the ship right now," said Ragnar.
"And we have to do the same," said Fishlegs. "I wonder how going to sneak this thing back across the bay to the Going Tiger?" He then saw Ragnar raised an eyebrow. "Oh, I forgot this thing works just as well on the Blue Sea."
Fishlegs then began removing the tallgrass around and hopped on.
"Climb aboard," said Fishlegs.
Ragnar stepped in. "You do realise you have to put your foot down?"
"I was afraid you were going to say that," Fishlegs moaned.
Fishlegs then put his foot on the pedal and then zoomed off.
Hiccup and the others meanwhile had discovered that the vault was in fact empty. The only thing inside was a picture of the fish.
"Looks they pulled one over us, guys," said Toothless.
"You do have to hand it to them," said Heather.
"Somehow I'm not entirely surprised, that Commander is a wily one," said Hiccup rubbing the back of his head.
"How can you be so calm about this, our treasure is gone, and we almost died opening this thing up!" Snotlout yelled.
"To make matters worse were completely surrounded and trapped like rats," said Astrid.
"Commander Jonathan knew you would show up here once we realised you stole on the map," said the Lieutenant.
"Perceptive," said Heather.
"There's nowhere to run, give up."
Hiccup didn't like their odds. 'Astrid, Toothless and I can hold off these Marines, with those doors sealed with got nowhere to go. They can easily starve us out and shift their focus on trying to find the others.'
"Should we wait for the others to show?" Snotlout asked.
"Not an option," said Astrid. "By now the entire base knows where we are now, reinforcements are no doubt on their way and it only a matter of time before they arrive."
"Then we need to get out of here," said Heather.
"Easier said than done," said Hiccup. "Those doors are the only way out of here, and I don't fancy firing a plasma blast in such an enclosed space."
"So you mean we surrender?" said Snotlout.
"No I'm saying that we have to be smart about this, but first things first we need to take down these Marines then we can think of an escape plan," said Hiccup.
"I can get behind that," said Toothless.
"Not at the man of Navarone have anything to say about it," said the Lieutenant as his men pointing their rifles at them.
Everyone prepared themselves ready for a fight, but then the doors began to open. Then walking through them was none other than Shepherd and his men.
"End of the line pirates scum," he said.
"Who's that guy?" Astrid frowned.
"Condoriano?" Snotlout blinked.
"You came to the road just as I predicted you would," said Shepherd.
The Lieutenant was absolutely furious. "And just who the hell are you? And who gave you permission to open up those doors?"
Shepherd turned on him. "Who am I? I'm a special inspector from HQ! The name is Major Shepherd. Your commander gave me my mobile unit permission to open up those doors. We'll take it from here, you and your men are no longer needed any more."
Hiccup recognised him from the brig. "Hang on, you're the guy that was locked up in jail with half of my crew?"
"Hey, Condoriano! How did you manage to escape?" Snotlout smirked.
"You're looking well," Heather smiled.
Shepherd was furious and all three as they were all part of the reason why he was locked up. "I can't tell you how much I've been looking forward to this. Thanks to you I've dealt with humiliation, incarceration and being called Condoriano! You'll rue the day you crossed me! You're all going to pay!"
"Major Shepherd," said the Lieutenant.
Shepherd glared at him. "What? Can't you see I'm talking here?"
"You're going to need some more men, trust me. I say this from experience. Just don't underestimate the Major."
"Shut up!" Shepherd snapped. "We're the lead forces, not G-8 nincompoops like you, who let pirates run circles around them! I'm going to take down the Dragon Riders, so unless you won a court-martial stand down! Understood?"
The Lieutenant, his men, weren't too pleased but there was nothing they could do.
"Yes, sir," said the Lieutenant through gritted teeth.
"Are you guys done?" Hiccup asked.
"Yes, just like your pathetic lives are about to be!" Shepherd snapped. He then snapped his fingers as a Marine. "You bring my new toy."
"Sir!"
The Marine then handed Shepherd a large briefcase, and everyone watched as he began to assemble something. About 30 seconds later, he was aiming a giant bazooka directly at the Dragon Riders.
"Say hello to the latest state-of-the-art bazooka, the Eagle Launcher," Shepherd sneered. "It's as deadly as its namesake, I'll show you. Plus it packs as much punch as a warship's main cannon."
The Marines were rather distressed upon hearing that.
"And that's supposed to impress or something?" said Toothless.
"Just looks like a giant hunk of metal to me," said Astrid resting her axe on her shoulder.
"You sure you can handle something that dangerous is that?" Hiccup asked dubiously.
"You asked for it Dragon, die!" Shepherd yelled, pulling down on the trigger.
However, the missile launched out of the back much to everyone's shock.
"Nice shot, Condoriano!" Snotlout yelled.
"Major, you have it backwards," said a Marine holding the instruction manual.
"Oh, yes, I see," he said, doing a quick skim of the manual.
"Ass," the Marines muttered.
"Shut up, I'll get him this time!"
He then pointed the bazooka the right way this time and aimed it directly at Hiccup, but Heather was a little too quick on the mark for him. Arms then sprouted all over him and began pointing his bazooka at the Marines, and while the odds were holding him in place, they operated the trigger.
"No!" he yelled.
The Marines then began running off in different directions to avoid getting blasted by the bazooka and Hiccup and the others just watched. Heather then pointed the bazooka down onto the ground and strapped Shepherd to it.
"No, don't pull that trigger!" Shepherd panicked.
Heather pull the trigger, and Shepherd found himself launching into the air.
"Condoriano is such a blast," said Snotlout.
"Why did he come here again?" Toothless frowned.
"I think to arrest us," said Astrid grabbing the back of her head. "Though to be honest, I'd say that the G-8 Marines were much more of a challenge."
"Yeah, the way he was talking I thought that both he and his Mogul unit would be far more impressive," Snotlout agreed.
"All he managed to accomplish was giving us an escape route," said Hiccup.
"Should we?" Heather asked.
With that, all of them began running down the corridor leaving behind a few battered Marines.
"After them, men!" the Lieutenant ordered.
"So where is gold?" Snotlout asked.
"How should we know?" Astrid snapped.
Ragnar and Fishlegs were currently in the bay and noticed the entire place was filled to the brim with warships.
"Security is tight, and then we thought," said Fishlegs.
"To make matters worse is going to be dawn soon," said Ragnar looking at the sky. "I say we only have a few hours of night left."
"Guess they realised that we're still inside the base somewhere, but I don't understand why the ships aren't moving?" Fishlegs frowned. "It just doesn't make sense."
Hiccup and the others were now walking along the cliff, trying to come up with a new plan of action.
"We need to find someplace safe to hold up and rethink our plan," said Heather.
"I don't know there is such a thing as a safe place on a Marine base," said Hiccup.
"I might know a place where we can regroup," said Astrid.
Chopper and the twins were still waiting on the Going Tiger for everyone else.
"They should have been back by now," said Chopper fiddling with his hooves frantically.
"Ah, I'm sure they're fine," said Tuffnut as he sat on the deck.
"Yeah, there's absolutely nothing to worry about," Ruffnut agreed doing the same thing as her brother.
"Guys!" Fishlegs yelled at both he and Ragnar appeared around the corner of the dock.
"Fishlegs! Ragnar!" said Chopper looking at them relieved. "Thank goodness."
"Don't they'll be fine," said Tuffnut.
"Yeah now we just have to weed through the gold team to come back," said Ruffnut.
"Wait, Hiccup and the others aren't back?" said Fishlegs.
"No," said Chopper shaking his head.
"I wonder where they are?" Fishlegs frowned.
"Something must have gone wrong," said Ragnar and looked at Fishlegs. "Look you better go out there and try and find our stay here with Chopper and the twins get the ship ready to set sail."
"I will?" Fishlegs blinked.
"You're the one with the waver you can search the place a lot faster than any of us," said Ragnar as he jumped off. "And you better hurry, we don't have long until the sun begins to rise."
Fishlegs knew that he was right and reluctantly set out to find Hiccup and his team. 'Okay, as I recall the vault was somewhere down this slope.'
He began riding down the slope, but slow down when he reached the entrance. It was a good thing he did because he found a good number of Marines standing there and they looked pretty beaten up.
"Oh no," said Fishlegs.
"The Dragon Riders fled into the mountains!" the Lieutenant yelled. "I want these hills scoured, pick up the pacemen! Doubletime it!"
He then saw Marine supporting Major Shepherd.
"You all right, sir?"
"Damnit, I almost had those pirates," he cursed. "Stupid instruction manual. Still finding an empty bowl doesn't necessarily mean that they've given up. In fact, I'm sure they won't, and that means we still have a decent chance."
Fishlegs' eyes widened. 'Empty?'
"I knew it was possible that they might spring the first round, but I've already got another one set," said Shepherd. "I always have a backup plan."
Fishlegs didn't like the sound of this. 'Wait, the vault was a trap? If the gold wasn't in their where could it be?'
Hiccup and the others have found their way inside the base, figuring that the Marines would be too busy searching outside to think looking inside.
"Are you sure about heading to the medical ward was a good idea?" Hiccup asked, looking at Astrid.
"It's the only place I can think of where we can regroup and come up with another plan," said Astrid.
"Wait, I hear something," said Snotlout.
They listened carefully; indeed, they could hear voices coming from one of the medical wards.
"Dad, you have to listen to me!" said Lily's voice. "You have to take it!"
"I don't care if you are my daughter, that stuff is nasty!" said Able's voice.
"It's medicine, dad!"
"That's Lily's voice," said Astrid and looked at the others. "She's the doctor that held play hostage."
"And the old man," said Snotlout.
They made their way into the office and both Lily and Able more than welcome to let them in. They were rather surprised to see them, but then they quickly explain the gold situation.
"So the gold wasn't on your ship," said Lily.
"Nor in the vault," said Astrid.
"It's wild to know that you to a father and daughter," said Snotlout looking at at the two of them and then looked at Able. "Say, you sick or something, old man?"
"Let's just say there's nothing wrong with me that the net from the bottle won't cure," he said, holding out his flask. "The stuff in this bottle was all in medicine I need."
He was about to drink from the flask, but Lily snatched out of his hand.
"Dad! You know there's no smoking or drinking in the medical ward!" she snapped.
"Come on, one drink," said Able.
"No!"
"Why do you have to be so stubborn?"
"Come on, you should really listen to your daugh—I mean your doctor," said Hiccup.
Able turned on him. "So you're the man responsible for the repairs on the ship? And you think you can lecture me, the same guys who hides I saved. But instead of escaping they come waltzing right back here? Oh, that's rich! Is that damp blasted gold really that important?"
"Of course it is, old man," said Snotlout. "We are pirates, after all."
"Think about it, Dad," said Lily. "Would you walk away from that much gold if it was yours? I'm sure they must have worked really hard for it."
"You just stared at this, Lily!" said Able.
"We were saving that gold," said Snotlout.
"Saving?"
"Yeah, we were going to use it to hire a shipwright to make major repairs for the Going Tiger, like you said we should."
"Ha, like I believe a bunch of pirates!"
"Fine, you don't have to believe us, but we are going to fix the Tiger! I don't care what you believe you old coot!"
"Old coot!"
The two of them glared at one another for a moment everyone was afraid that they would start a fight.
"Dad, I believe him," said Lily, and everyone turned to look at her. "It isn't just their ship, it's also their home."
"Home?" Able smiled. "Yeah."
Able then escorted them outside where there was very little Marine activity.
"There it is," he said, pointing up the cliff. "It isn't the quickest way to get around, but there aren't usually any guards up that way. That path will take you right up into the mountains."
"It looks more like a sheer cliff than it does a path," said Snotlout.
"Thanks for the help, old man," said Hiccup as he began to climb.
"Good luck!" Able yelled.
"Well, up we go," said Snotlout began making his way towards the cliff. "Thanks again for the help. See ya!"
"Hold up!" said Able, and Snotlout stopped to look at him. "Our commander's hobby is fishing, you see."
"Yeah, as of that explains the big fish painting in the vault," said Snotlout looking at him confused. "But I don't see why that important?"
"Because he's found the perfect bait to reel you guys in with, your gold," Able explained. "Like a good fisherman, he's probably got it dangling someplace where you can see it in plain sight."
"'In plain sight?'" Snotlout blinked.
"Are you coming?" Astrid yelled.
"I'm coming!" Snotlout yelled.
"Now get out of here, go!" said Able.
"Yeah, see ya," said Snotlout running up the cliff. "Wait, for me, guys!"
Able just watch them as they made their way up the path. 'Even if they somehow managed to get their goal back and escape, Navarone will be in trouble. Yep, I bet the brass will finally shut us down. I must be crazy.'
Eventually, they reached the top of the cliff, but they still had no idea where the gold could be.
"Too bad we didn't come up with a plan back there," said Heather.
"So what are we supposed to do now?" Snotlout asked. "Just wander around aimlessly and hope we find it?"
Toothless then sensed something close by and grasped his sword.
"What is it?" Astrid asked.
"Quite," he whispered. "I thought I heard something."
"I hear it too," said Heather as they heard the sound of an engine.
"Something is coming," said Hiccup as he looked over the edge. Once there he saw that it was Fishlegs right at the cliff on the waver. "It's Fishlegs on the waver."
Once Fishlegs reach the cliff, they began explaining the entire situation to him.
"So after that, you ran into Doctor Lily," said Fishlegs.
"Unfortunately we still don't have any clue where the gold is," said Astrid.
"Dawn is going to be here before we know it and it will be a lot harder to sneak around, we need a plan," said Toothless.
Hiccup looked at Heather. "Are there any other storage vault here?"
"Even if there are more they could just be bait to lead us into another trap," said Heather looking at the map.
Snotlout eyes lit up. "Hey, that reminds me of something at the old man told me. He said something about bait."
"What do you mean something?" Fishlegs frowned.
"Something about hiding baiting plain sight," said Snotlout scratching his head.
Hiccup's eyes widened. "Snotlout, you just said something accidentally brilliant."
"I did?" Snotlout blinked. "I mean, of course, I did. What did I say?"
"The bait is obviously the gold, if it is unlocked away, it has to be someplace where we can see it," Hiccup explained.
"In plain sight," said Astrid.
"And what if plain sight means in plain sight of a crafty fisherman?" Hiccup continued.
"Oh, nice thinking," said Heather.
"That does make a lot of sense," said Fishlegs.
"Can you guys explain, because I'm completely lost?" said Snotlout.
"It's simple, Snotlout," said Fishlegs. "Who's the one dangling our gold is bait to catch us right now."
"You mean the command of this place," said Toothless.
"Exactly, the commander is the fisherman, and if the bait really is plain sight of the fisherman then that means there's only one place where our gold can be kept," said Hiccup as his eyes turned towards the centre of the island.
"You don't mean…" said Astrid.
"That's right, right in the commander's office and as luck would have it I know exactly where it is," said Hiccup. "I can easily fly then retrieve the gold."
"Not alone," said Astrid stepping up. "Fishlegs and I can follow you on the waver."
"We can?" said Fishlegs.
Hiccup looked at Astrid as if he wanted to argue, but he really didn't have the time. "Fine, then the rest of you join up with the others at the old dock."
"You sure you don't need any more backup?" Heather asked.
"The waver can only carry two people," said Fishlegs.
Toothless and the others to make their way back to the dock leaving Hiccup, Astrid and Fishlegs on the cliff. Astrid was on the waver directly behind Fishlegs, who was still rather nervous.
"We're going to get started anyway, so stealth is not going to be an issue," said Hiccup looking at Astrid and Fishlegs. "I'll fly ahead, and you follow me at full throttle. You guys ready?"
"Ready as we'll ever be," said Fishlegs.
"Then let's go!" said Hiccup transforming to his dragon form in took off.
"Hold on, Astrid," said Fishlegs as he twisted the throttle.
Astrid held on tight to Fishlegs as they took off and jumped off the cliff.
"The pirates!" said a Marine as he witnessed the waver hitting the water.
Immediately the Marines on the cliff and on the ruined bridge fired their rifles and cannons at them. However, they were moving so fast that it was near impossible to hit them.
"Where is it?" Fishlegs yelled.
"Up there!" Hiccup yelled, pointing his head up the centre of the island.
"Where exactly?" Astrid asked as they rode up the centre island.
"Stop them!" the Marines yelled, shooting them with everything they had.
"That's it!" Hiccup yelled, flying towards the balcony.
"Brace yourself!" Fishlegs yelled.
Hiccup smashed right through the window quickly followed by Fishlegs and Astrid on the waver. In his office, Jonathan was currently painting a few of his lures and shut up in surprise when he saw them. Hiccup quickly transformed back into his human form, and Fishlegs and Astrid skidded to a halt.
"I've got to hand it to you, Dragon," said Jonathan looking somewhat impressed. "You really know how to make an entrance, bravo."
Astrid looked at Hiccup. "That guy, he's the commander?"
"Yeah," Hiccup nodded.
"At least we crashed into the right room," said Fishlegs panting.
"That contraction of yours is incredible," said Jonathan taking note of the waver. "Just where in the world did you get it?"
"It's called a waver, and it's not from this world, it's from the Sky Islands," said Fishlegs.
"You didn't have to tell him anything," Astrid groaned.
Jonathan looked at both Astrid and Fishlegs. "So you're the famous Valkyrie, I must say your as beautiful as your wanted poster suggests. Both you and the young man there are a few of the members of the crew that I haven't met so welcome. You Dragon Riders have really impressed me, your brave, perceptive and bold which I greatly admire, but your pirates and outlaws nonetheless. What a shame, I'm sorry we couldn't have met under happier circumstances."
Suddenly the door opened, and Marines rushed in, not that it was a surprise they did make quite a ruckus smashing through the window of the office.
"I'm afraid there won't be any hungry soldiers coming to save you this time, Hiccup," said Jonathan.
"Hang on a minute," said Astrid. "Shouldn't a fisherman let his prey see the bait at least?"
Jonathan just looked at her blankly.
"Where is the gold?" Astrid emphasised. "So is it one last time before you hull us away, it is somewhere in this room, right?"
"Yes, it's right there," said Jonathan pointing towards the corner.
"It really is in plain sight?" Fishlegs blinked.
"Guess we finally found our gold," said Hiccup.
Astrid looked at Jonathan suspiciously. "Hey, it's not fake, is it?"
"Oh no, it's the genuine article. You can check for yourself if you like."
"I'll do it," said Hiccup looking at Astrid and Fishlegs. "Just get ready."
"Ready for what?" Fishlegs frowned.
Hiccup didn't answer made his way towards the gold he quickly examined it. "It's our gold all right, no doubt about it." He then immediately turned towards Jonathan. "Now if you don't mind, we would like to leave."
"I'm afraid I can't let you just take the bait and run," said Jonathan and the Marines immediately aimed their rifles. "Arrest them, but please try not to hurt the young lady."
"This young lady can look after herself, thank you," said Astrid.
"Can you not say that when I'm standing next to you?" Fishlegs asked.
"Take Dragon down first," said Jonathan.
Then before Hiccup could do anything they fired a net which wrapped itself around him. Hiccup immediately failed week upon contact with the net and realise it was laced with Sea Prism Stone.
"Not another one of these nets," said Hiccup weakly.
"Sea Prism Stone," said Fishlegs.
"We've got him, sir!" said a Marine.
"Excellent work, man," Jonathan nodded and then turned towards Astrid and Fishlegs. "Now then…"
Astrid gripped her axe firmly. 'I can't find of all these Marines by myself and protect Fishlegs.'
"Astrid, get ready," said Fishlegs as he quickly put on his clima-gloves.
"Fishlegs?" Astrid blinked.
"Cool Ball!" Fishlegs yelled, raising his left gauntlet.
"It's called," said a Marine as the ball brushed against his skin.
"Heat Ball!" Fishlegs yelled, raising his right gauntlet.
"It's warm," said Jonathan pressing his finger against the wall.
"I did it," Fishlegs smiled as a rain cloud formed within the office.
"What the?"
"A cloud?"
"Today's forecast calls for clear skies and a 0% chance of rain, but cumulonimbus will suddenly develop in some areas," said Fishlegs as he kept on shooting out Cool and Heat Balls into the cloud above causing it to expand. "Watch out the lightning strikes."
"I've just had quite enough of your parlour tricks, young man," said Fishlegs.
Fishlegs smiled and then placed his hands together. "Thunder Ball Tempo!"
He then fired a fundable directly into the cloud and quickly hit the floor. Astrid realised what he was planning and did the same thing, and Jonathan hid behind his desk. A few seconds later bolt of lightning rained down from the clouds striking all the Marines, knocking them out called.
"Hiccup!" Astrid yelled.
Fishlegs then drove the waver over towards Hiccup, and Astrid quickly pulled the net off of him.
"You all right?" she asked.
"I'm good," said Hiccup shaking his head. "Thanks for the save, guys."
"No sweat, but let's get out of here," said Astrid as she pulled the treasure onto the waver. "Can you still fly?"
Hiccup transformed into his dragon form. "Good to go."
Fishlegs then pulled down on the throttle, and they took off with Hiccup following them close behind.
"Even if the bait gets stolen from the hope there's more than one way to catch a fish," said Jonathan as he made his way to the balcony. "All a fisherman needs to do is be patient."
Hiccup and the others were now in the bay looking for the Going Tiger.
"Do any of you guys see the Tiger?" Hiccup asked.
"It's so dark I can barely see anything," said Astrid looking around.
"I see a warship right in front of us!" Fishlegs panicked.
Astrid turned, and for a brief moment, she thought it was a warship, but upon closer examination, she saw that it was their disguised ship.
'You know, it sort of does look like a warship,' she said to herself.
The twins were currently in the crow's nest looking for them, and then they spot.
"It's them!" Ruffnut yelled.
Tuffnut then began waving a lantern around. "Hey, guys over here!"
"I see that your mission was a success," said Ragnar as he looked over the side.
Shepherd had made his way to Jonathan's office, and he was well aware that the Dragon Riders had escaped.
"So somehow you allow the Dragon Riders to escape from your very own office and with their gold too," Shepherd smirked as he joined him on the balcony. "What a setback. I would hate for that to be on my record."
"The Dragon Riders haven't escaped yet nor will they on my watch Major," said Jonathan confidently. "I assure you."
"After losing them umpteen times already?" said Shepherd sceptically. "Do not make me laugh. Since you can't catch them yourself, why don't you sit back and let me? What do you say?"
"Are there any bazookas involved this time?" Jonathan asked dryly.
Shepherd glared at him. "What happened earlier was just a minor complication. My special Pirate Subjugation Squad wasn't with me, because they were setting another trap."
"Really? In that case, I think I will sit back and watch your men in action," said Jonathan looking slightly amused.
Shepherd and made his way over to the transponder snail. "Shepherd of Pine Peak, you should always be in position at the Seagate so listen up! Those pirates should be arriving shortly, the minute you see them blow them out of the water! Got it?"
"Aye, aye Major Shepherd, sir," said the captain.
"Captain, we're just about reached the and this point, sir," said a Marine entering the room.
"Good, we can't let the pirate ship slipped past us. All cannons are to open fire once it's spotted."
Shepherd was confidently walking around the office.
"Catching them should be as easy as shooting fish in a barrel," he said as he approached Jonathan's fishing rod. "A fisherman like you should appreciate that analogy." He then reached out for the fishing rod. "Place a pole…"
"Can you please not touch that pole Major," said Jonathan narrowing his eyes and Shepherd quickly backed away from it. "I would like to ask you something about your plan."
"Sure, I would be more than happy to answer any questions on how to capture pirates," Shepherd smiled.
"This special Pirate Subjugation Squad of yours is on the Pine Peak, is that correct?" said Jonathan as he looked down into the bay. "Who's that on the other ship following them?"
"Other ship?" said Shepherd immediately rushing towards the balcony and pulled out a spyglass. "What are you—"
He then stopped when he saw that indeed another warship was following the Pine Peak.
"That vessel is not one of Navarone's warships," said Jonathan as he looked at it closely. "In fact the more that I look at it I don't think it's a warship at all."
"Then what is it?"
On the Pine Peak, the Marines were on the lookout for the Going Tiger when the Marine and immediately rushed towards the captain with a frantic look on his face.
"Captain! A warship is closing in on us, sir! Well, it appears to be a warship."
Captain frowned. "A Navarone warship? And what you mean by 'looks like one'?"
The Marine looked at him, nervously. "Well, I'm not quite sure how to explain it. It's going to smash right into us!"
Sure enough, the warship behind them was charging at them at fall speed.
"Stop! Look out!"
Then suddenly the front part of the ship broke apart and landing in the water was the Going Tiger.
"W-what the?" said the captain as the ship sailed by.
"Thank you for showing us where the currents are," said Hiccup as they sailed by. "We could have made it this far without you!"
"We owe you one!" Astrid yelled. "Thanks, you guys!"
"Quick, we can't let them escape!" said the captain.
"We've got bigger problems!"
Suddenly what remained of the fake warship then slammed right into them.
Shepherd had seen the entire thing. "No! I can't believe they use the Pine Peak to help their escape. Curse those Dragon Riders!"
"Don't worry, they haven't escaped yet," said Jonathan calmly. "In fact, they're about to be caught in a very big net."
"A net?" Shepherd frowned.
"Every day at 9 AM, the waters of Navarone bare their fangs. It's a trap that mother nature provides, one in which escape was impossible."
