The Dragon Riders had anchored next to a nearby island, and everyone was fast asleep apart from Heather, who had stayed up to read. Everyone was sleeping soundly in their beds and aware that they were being watched by a mysterious figure.

"Yes, it's taken long enough, but I have finally found a group of people with such nice memories," said the mysterious figure.

Toothless was in the crow's nest keeping watch; he had fallen asleep and immediately woken up when he sensed something. He looked around, but there was nothing suspicious and then went right back to sleep.

However, the mysterious figure was hiding below the ship; he then placed a horn that resembled a seahorse towards his mouth. He then blew up on the horn directly towards the Going Tiger.

Heather noticed that both Astrid and Ruffnut were moving rather restlessly in their sleep, but she kept on reading.

Pretty soon, it was morning, and Heather had finally finished reading her book; she went to return the book towards the shelf in both Astrid, and Ruffnut awoke.

"Ah, you're awake," said Heather.

Astrid and Ruffnut looked around with confused looks.

"Do you two feel okay?" Heather asked.

"Who are you?" Astrid asked, looking at Heather.

"And where are we?" Ruffnut asked.

Heather stared at the two of them.

Chopper had awoken and, just like the girl, had no idea how he ended up here with these humans. He was utterly terrified and began slowly making his way out of the bedroom and quickly climbed the ladder to get onto the deck.

He woke the boys, and the five of them had no idea where they were.

'Where the hell am I, and who are these weirdos?' said Snotlout, looking at the boys.

Ragnar then looked at him. "Hey…"

"Yes?" Snotlout asked.

"You wanna tell me what's going on around here?" Ragnar asked.

Snotlout stared at him. "What?"

"My name is Ragnar; I'm a cook at the sea restaurant Baratie. The last thing I remember was going to sleep in my room, but then I somehow ended up waking up in a different place with people I've never seen before. You have any answers, like maybe why I'm here?"

Hiccup looked at Ragnar. "Rag? Is that you?"

Ragnar looked at Hiccup. "Do I know you?"

"No, but we are penpals. It's me, Hiccup."

"Hiccup, what are you doing here?" Ragnar asked.

"I was hoping you could tell me," said Hiccup scratching the back of his head. "I thought you were the guys that pulled me out of the drink."

"Excuse me," said Snotlout staring at him.

"I left my village to go sailing yesterday, but I ended up getting caught in a giant whirlpool. I remember climbing into a barrel and getting dizzy enough to throw up, and then I woke up in this place."

"I've got no clue I am either," said Fishlegs. "The last thing I remember is following asleep after sneaking aboard a cruise ship with my partner."

"You mean to say that you guys don't know why you're here either?" Tuffnut blinked. "The name's Tuffnut, and both me and my sister are bounty hunters. We fell asleep after getting our ships ready to set sail, and the next thing I know, I'm here."

Snotlout stared at the three of them. 'What? None of this adds up. All I did yesterday was shoot the breeze with Kaia and then played some games with Pepper and the other kids. None of that explains how I ended up here, and it's the same for them.'

Ragnar looked at Snotlout. "So, you have any idea what's going on? None of us have a clue, and that only leaves you."

'It might find me useless and kill me. I don't give them an answer,' said Snotlout. 'I'll just have to try and bluff my way out of this.'

He then took a deep breath and looked at the three of them. "All right, if you really want to know. You probably don't remember anything because your minds are trying to oppress your terror. I mean, you were attacked by a legendary giant whale after all."

"We were attacked by a giant whale?" said the three of them blankly.

"You got it, it swallowed you guys whole, but I managed to easily defeated and pull you three out of its barely," said Snotlout.

"Wow, that sounds both awesome and scary," said Tuffnut.

Hiccup, Ragnar and Fishlegs looked at one another, and clearly, none of them bought this explanation.

"Does our great saviour have a name?" Ragnar asked.

"That's the million Gil question!" Snotlout yelled. "I am the fearless and much-feared leader of the notorious pirate crew that rules over the East Blue. The people fear me and love me equal measure! I am known as the intrepid Captain Snotlout!"

"You mean the Captain Snotlout!" said Tuffnut.

Fishlegs stared at him. "What you know him?"

"Never heard of him."

"Careful you want to make sure you stay on my good side," said Snotlout. "I do preside over an army of 8000 pirates after all."

"You what? 8000 men?" Tuffnut stared.

"And the free view both joined up as my servants yesterday," Snotlout added.

"We did?" said Tuffnut.

"Well, he's lying," said Ragnar.

"How did you know?" Snotlout panicked.

"Well, I know you are now."

Snotlout facepalm himself. "You tricked me into giving myself away."

"Then perhaps you should try to make your lies a bit more believable," said Hiccup folding his arms.

"Are you mocking me," said Snotlout approaching him. "No one mocks me! I got too much pride from mockery, dammit! In fact, I've got so much pride everyone calls me Snotlout the Pride."

Hiccup and Snotlout looked at one another blankly as if they were having a sudden surge of déjà vu.

"What's up?" Ragnar asked.

"It feels like I've been through this before," said Hiccup.

"Same here," said Snotlout.

"Yeah, I'm getting a bit of déjà vu as well," said Fishlegs.

"Well, never mind that," said Ragnar as he rose to his feet. "I think the first thing we need is food; I mean, how can you expect us to remember anything on an empty stomach?"

"Yeah, did you say you are some kind of cook?" Fishlegs asked.

"A first-class cook," said Ragnar as he made his way over to the ladder. "There has to be some food on this ship."

"Well, it's as good as planners any," said Hiccup following him.

One by one, they made their way on deck, and they still had no clue where they were.

"Oh man, this ship has definitely seen better days," said Ragnar noting the patchwork.

"I can see land, at least were not out in the open sea," said Hiccup.

They then heard the sound of a door open and saw Heather stepping out with the two girls, both of whom looked very confused.

"We have a bit of a problem here, guys," said Heather.

"Hey, it's Ruffnut," said Tuffnut.

"And Astrid," said Fishlegs.

Astrid looked relieved to see Fishlegs. "Fishlegs, you're here too?"

Hiccup looked at Snotlout. "So tell me, are they part of your giant pirate crew, Captain?"

Snotlout just smiled at them. "Two beautiful young ladies, of course, they are."

"Why do I seriously doubt that?" said Ragnar shaking his head.

"Don't tell me you've lost your memories too," said Heather.

"Which means we all must be in good company," said Ragnar rubbing the back of his head.

"Okay, can someone please tell me what's going on here before I get my axe?" Astrid demanded.

"And can someone please explain what that is?" Ruffnut asked, pointing.

All there heads turned and saw Chopper hiding behind a barrel.

"You might want to cover yourself a bit more," Heather suggested.

"Okay, I give. What is that thing?" Hiccup asked.

"I think it's a deer," said Fishlegs.

"Shut your pie hole, human; I'm a reindeer!" Chopper yelled.

"It just talks?" Snotlout and Fishlegs stared.

"Hey, I say we catch it!" Tuffnut yelled and looked at his sister. "Come on, sis!"

"Right behind you!" Ruffnut yelled.

"Stop just leave acting alone," Fishlegs pleaded.

Heather sighed. "Oh boy, where do I even begin? All right, that's enough nonsense; if anyone wants answers, listen up."

Everyone stop what they were doing in turn towards Heather.

"Okay, we're listening," said Hiccup.

"Let's sort something is out," said Heather simply. "We are currently located somewhere in the Grand Line. Did any of you remember that?"

"Wait, we're in the Grand Line?" Hiccup stared.

"Seriously?" said Fishlegs horrified. "The Grand Line is supposed to be teeming with monsters and dangerous stuff!"

"Just looks like the regular old sea to me," said Snotlout sceptically.

"Then let's ask our navigator," said Heather looking at Fishlegs.

"Wait, why are you looking at me?" said Fishlegs.

"Look at the device strapped on your arm," said Heather pointing at the log pose.

Fishlegs apparently noticed the log pose for the first time. "What's that?"

"It's called the log pose; your standard compass does not work here, so we have to use the islands magnetic fields," Heather explained. "And that is the tool we use to follow them; it's the only way that's even possible to navigate the Grand Line."

"I don't suppose you have any suggestions on how to get back to my restaurant in the East Blue?" Ragnar asked. "The last thing I need is to lose my job."

"You don't want to do that; trust me, it's taken us a ridiculously long time to reach this point in our journey," said Heather. "Heading back on your own would be suicide. Just take a look, we've been following the log pose coordinates for quite some time, and they let us directly to this coral reef surrounded island."

"You don't exactly expect me to believe any of this, do you?" Astrid questioned. "Why would I possibly travel with a group of people I have nothing in common with?"

"Hey, what about me?" Fishlegs asked.

"You know what I mean, Fishlegs," said Astrid looking at Heather sceptically. "So explain why we're travelling with you?

"That's why," said Heather looking up.

Everyone turned their heads upwards and saw a pirate flag on the top of the mast, telling them instantly that they were on board a pirate ship.

"Hey, wait, isn't that a pirate flag?" Snotlout asked.

"That would indicate that one pirate ship," said Hiccup.

Snotlout smiled. "I did already told you you're on the intrepid Captain Snotlout's pirate ship."

"Then we can explain why you're Jolly Roger has a dragon on it?" Ragnar asked.

"It is?" said Snotlout looking at the flag.

"Pirate this… pirate that… who cares?" said Astrid sounding sick to her stomach. She then glared directly at Heather. "Although one thing is certain now, everything you told us is a big steaming pile of nonsense. I hate pirates, every stinking last one of them! So why would I be on this ship? The only thing I love is tangerines, and I don't see any of those on board!"

"Astrid, maybe we shouldn't say that sort of thing in front of pirates?" Fishlegs suggested looking at everyone warily.

"Tangerines?" said Heather, then pointed above her. "You mean those?"

Astrid looked up and saw tangerine trees on the roof of the cabin where Chopper was currently hiding.

"Why are those on the ship?" Astrid blinked.

Heather then sprouted an arm on the tree and grabbed one of the tangerines, shocking everyone. She then tossed the tangerine down towards Astrid.

"W-what just happened?" said Astrid.

"That tree grew an arm," Snotlout stared.

"A mystery tree?" said Tuffnut.

Astrid looked at Heather. "Just who the hell are you?"

"Aren't you a bit more curious about that?" Heather asked, pointing the tangerine in her hands.

"I can tell that it's one of Bel's tangerines; I know them anywhere," said Astrid. "But what exactly are they doing here aboard this ship?"

"As much as I would like to answer that question for you, I'm uncertain of all the details," Heather admitted and then looked at Fishlegs. "If you really want to know, then I suggest that you check the logbook in your room." She then looked back at Astrid. "And in our room, I instinctively remember a picture of your Bel."

Fishlegs made his way below deck and indeed found a logbook next to his bunk. He immediately began to skim through it and recognise the handwriting.

"It's my handwriting," he said.

Astrid then came down, holding a picture of her family. "She was telling the truth about this picture."

"So, do you think what she's telling us it's true?" Fishlegs asked.

"I don't know," Astrid admitted. "But something bad to happen to Leefside Village, we have to go back."

Back on deck, everyone will else was still trying to figure out what Chopper was.

"So what exactly is it?" Snotlout asked.

"A talking reindeer apparently," said Hiccup.

The twins decided to chase poor Chopper down to eat him, and they managed to grab him.

"I don't care that walks or talks. It's still food," said Ruffnut.

"If there's any booze on this ship, it will go down quite a treat," said Tuffnut.

"Enough!" Chopper yelled, transforming into his human form. "I am no one's food, you sickos!"

He then spun around and slammed the back of his fist at the twins, sending them crashing into the deck.

"You really shouldn't need him; I mean, he is the ship's doctor after all," Heather advised.

"It is?" said Ragnar surprised.

"Yes, he is a truly brilliant doctor, better than any human you meet," said Heather. "Isn't that right?"

Chopper then transformed back into his hybrid form and began to hide behind the mast. "I suppose, but not let my guard down to you humans."

"His name is Chopper, he's a reindeer, but he ate the Human-Human Fruit and gained human abilities," said Heather. "He's not the only one; I ate the Flower-Flower Fruit and gained the Devil Fruit powers." She demonstrated this by sprouting several arms on her arm and then turned towards Hiccup. "And Hiccup ate a Devil Fruit as well, didn't you?"

"Yeah, I ate the Dragon-Dragon Fruit," said Hiccup as he transformed into a dragon.

Snotlout gulped. 'Three people with Devil Fruit powers, this is terrifying.'

"And you guys are all pirates? Real pirates?" Chopper asked.

"We are, although your pirate to you know," Heather pointed out.

"I guess I can allow it; you're officially a member of my crew," said Snotlout.

Ragnar rolled his eyes. "That guy's ego knows no bounds."

"We've been sailing the seas together for quite some time now as a 10 member crew," Heather explained.

"Wait, 10?" Hiccup questioned.

Heather then looked at the crow's nest. "You up there, swordsmen? Do you want to come down?"

Everyone looked up and saw Toothless looking down at them from the crow's nest. He then jumped down and landed on the deck.

"It's quite the story you're spinning," said Toothless.

"Who the heck is this guy?" Snotlout asked.

"Toothless?" said the twins.

Toothless looked at the twins. "So you two are here as well? I don't suppose you have any explanation?"

"We're completely clueless," said Tuffnut.

"Not that's nothing new," said Ruffnut.

"They said that your name was Toothless, and I see that you wield three sorts," Ragnar noted. "You are the Pirate Hunter."

"Not a description I ever applied to myself," said Toothless, looking at him. "Other people stuck me with it."

"But you are still a bounty hunter, aren't you?"

"Yeah, but only when I need the money to live. It's my professional anything."

"There are enough, but I suspect the only reason that you're here on a pirate ship because you're on the hunt for pirates."

"Beats me; I don't have the slightest idea why I'm on this ship," said Toothless and then looked at everyone present. "So you guys notorious pirates or something?"

"This guy wants to sell our heads for money!" Snotlout yelled, raising his fists. "Well, then bring it on! I got 8000 pirates under my command!"

Toothless raised an eye. "Really? Then I would imagine you have a pretty hefty bounty on your head, and just when I was getting low on food. I would be happy to take on if that's what you want."

Snotlout began to panic. "No, no, I don't want that! That's not what I meant at all! Let's just take it easy, okay?" He then looked at everyone desperately. "This can help me out here?"

"Don't look at us," said Tuffnut.

"Yeah, we're bounty hunters ourselves," said Ruffnut.

"Actually, Snotlout doesn't have a bounty, not even one single solitary Gil," Heather explained.

"I don't?" Snotlout moaned.

Astrid and Fishlegs had made their way into the storage room and were planning on leaving the ship.

"There has to be some way off this ship," said Astrid.

"Hey, Astrid, look at this," said Fishlegs as he opened a sack.

Astrid looked in the sack, and her eyes widened as they was a mountain of treasure. "It's all gold. There's more than enough here to buy back Leefside Village. If only we can get out of here."

Fishlegs then noticed the waver. "Do you think that can help?"

Hiccup and the others then heard the sound of an engine followed by a series of screams. Then suddenly shooting out of the storage room was Astrid and Fishlegs on the waver.

"Whoa, what in the world is that thing?" said Hiccup.

Fishlegs put everything into the throttle, and they took off like a shot, nearly running over Snotlout in the process. They then hit the water and started heading towards the island.

"Awesome, I can't believe this thing runs on land and water," said Fishlegs.

"Then let's put some distance between those pirates and us," said Astrid.

"Well, then they go," said Hiccup.

Toothless looked at everyone suspiciously. 'I don't know what's going on here, but I don't see any point in sticking around.'

Toothless then jumped into the water.

"Hey, wait for us!" the twins yelled, jumping into the water after him.

"Guess they decided not to stick around either," said Hiccup as he watched them swim towards the shore.

"What the heck is wrong with these people?" Snotlout asked, folding his arms.

"That is what we have to figure out and quickly," said Heather.

Unbeknownst to them, looking down at them from a cliff, was a boy holding a horn resembling a seahorse looking at them with intrigue.
