Heather watched as half the crew left the ship, leaving her deeply troubled.

"Guess I can postpone a heart attack," said Snotlout as he watched Toothless and the swim to shore.

"We're losing people left and right," said Ragnar.

"Astrid and Fishlegs likely headed for the island; I doubt they will go too far," said Heather confidently. "Astrid will not do anything desperate, at least until she thinks things through anyway."

"And I get the feeling that the swordsman falls in the same category," said Hiccup.

"Well, I guess we can't figure out what the hell is going on an empty stomach," said Ragnar and then looked at Heather. "First things first, you never told us your name, miss."

"My name is Heather Oswson," Heather smiled.

"Despite the circumstances, it's a pleasure," said Ragnar politely. "Now, would you be so kind as to fill us in on our history?"

"Sure."

Astrid and Fishlegs were making their way around the island, hoping to find a village.

"You sure it was wise to leave them?" Fishlegs asked, looking at Astrid. "I mean, we don't have any proof that they were lying."

"We have no proof they were telling us the truth either," Astrid pointed out. "Besides, why the hell with the two of us be caught dead in a pirate ship if not to rob it? The only thing pirating good at is destroying other people's lives."

"Yeah, but we have no idea where we are or how to get back to Leafside Village," Fishlegs pointed out.

"Which is why we're going to stop that village and think things through," said Astrid pointing ahead.

The boy who had been observing the Dragon Riders ship was observing the two of them as they were making their way to the port.

"Come on, ashore, I'm glad the two of you wondered my way," said the boy. "Very glad indeed."

Astrid and Fishlegs had reached the village and were now moving the waver up the street. However, the village was rather strange; there was no sign of anyone, and the place looked rather rundown.

"We haven't seen a single person," said Astrid.

"It's a little creepy," said Fishlegs nervously.

"We might find someone further up the hill," said Astrid.

It was then that the news bird dropped a newspaper down the village.

"A news bird?" said Fishlegs.

Then suddenly, every single door in the village swung wide open, and people rushed out, dashing towards them.

"What the?" Astrid stared.

Instantly Astrid reached the her axe, only to realise that she didn't have it. However, the villagers just ran right past them and towards the newspaper.

"It's mine, dammit!"

"Shut up! It's the only thing I can rely on!"

"Well, too bad for you then!"

Astrid and Fishlegs watched as all of them wrestled for the newspaper.

"What is wrong with these people?" Fishlegs blinked.

Then no sooner have they grabbed a piece of the paper, they rushed back indoors.

"Okay, what was that about?" Astrid asked.

"Hey," said a voice behind them. They turned and saw a boy holding a horn-shaped like a seahorse. "You look perplexed. What's the matter?"

The boy took them both towards the port, discovering that every boat was run down. The two of them sat with the boy on the wall opposite the port.

"So that's it, you need about?" said the boy.

"Yeah," said Astrid.

"The boats behind us are the only ones on the island."

"What? Are you sure?" Fishlegs frowned as he looked to the boats. "They looked pretty rundown like no one has used them for a long time."

"I guess everyone around here is too busy with other things to bother with them. You can go ahead and check the rest of the island if you don't believe me. It's a small island; it won't take you two long at all."

Astrid and Fishlegs looked at one another; they were still rather perplexed with the scene in the village.

"Perhaps you should stick around for a while; you might as well take it easy and enjoy yourself," the boy suggested.

"We would like nothing more, but we really need to get going," said Astrid.

"Oh, that's too bad."

"We're sorry," said Fishlegs.

"Don't worry about it," said the boy, and then he yawned. "Well, I'm feeling kinda worn out. I better head on home."

"Hang on," said Astrid as the boy jumped down from the wall.

"Bye, see ya!" he waved as he ran off.

Fishlegs looked at Astrid. "Perhaps leaving wasn't the best idea."

In the Going Tiger, Ragnar was busy setting up breakfast for what remained of the crew while Heather explained their most recent history. Chopper was watching them from the window; he was still too afraid to join them.

'I can't believe that I'm on a boat with real pirates,' he said.

"Escaping the Calm Belt, a Marine fortress, Sky Islands and sand countries," said Ragnar as he pulled them out of a cup of tea. "Talk about a fantastic adventure, and this is true?"

"Yes, all true," said Heather.

Snotlout looked at Hiccup nervously after hearing his bounty. 'I'm sitting next to a pirate with a 100 million Gil bounty on his head?'

"And that's our most recent history?" Hiccup asked.

"I wish I could tell you more, but I didn't join your crew until after you left Arabasta," said Heather. "I'm afraid I can't tell you what happened before that."

Ragnar folded his arms. 'Can't I believe every aspect of her story, but she has one piece of evidence on her side. This is exactly how I would set up this kitchen.'

Snotlout looked at Hiccup. "You can't say you believe all this?"

"Actually, what makes me believe her is how hard to believe the story its," said Hiccup.

Ragnar nodded. "Because if she was lying, she would have said something a bit more believable."

"Exactly, but I think we should be more focused about what happened yesterday before any of this happened," Hiccup suggested.

"Sure, but let's include the ship's doctor," said Heather.

Everyone looked at her blankly, but then she summoned an arm to open the door. They watched as the door opened and found Chopper clinging to the window; he then dropped down to the floor and hid behind the door.

"We're not going to hurt you," said Heather gently.

"You have to be hungry; why don't you sit down and eat?" Ragnar suggested.

"I haven't forgotten that you guys wanted to eat me!" Chopper yelled.

"It was the twins that wanted to eat you, and they are no longer here," Hiccup reminded him. "And you must want to know what's happening like everyone else."

Chopper couldn't disagree with him in joint them at the table.

Heather then began to explain how they got to the island last night.

'We follow the coordinates to this area of the sea,' said Heather.

"Fishlegs, are you sure we haven't veered off course?" Astrid asked.

"The log pose is never wrong," said Fishlegs.

"Hey, guys, watch the lookout up there?" Toothless asked, looking up at the twins in the crow's nest.

"Just give us a minute," said Ruffnut as the two of them looked through the binoculars.

"There's an island ahead!" said Tuffnut pointing ahead of them.

"And it looks like it's completely surrounded by reefs," said Fishlegs. "It's dangerous to push ahead in this light. We should drop anchor at the coast tonight and then go ashore in the morning."

Hiccup nodded. "You heard the man drop anchor at the shore."

"And after that, everyone went to bed," said Heather. "Well, I stayed up to do some research, and Toothless was on watch. I know it's not much, but that's it. Everything is the same as you remember it after that, probably."

"The Pirate Hunter must've fallen asleep at some point; otherwise, he would have responded to us going on deck sooner," said Ragnar.

"Possibly," said Heather.

"The big question we need to answer right now is why you're the only one who did lose your memory," said Hiccup folding his arms.

"The only difference I that I can think of is that I'm the only one who stayed awake; if Toothless is, in fact, fall asleep, that is," said Heather.

"Well, I fell asleep, but I still remember that we are the Snotlout Pirates!" said Snotlout firmly.

Ragnar ignored him. "Good point, but this pretty much all boils down to whether we were asleep or not."

"I'm just pointing out the obvious factors," said Heather. "It could be a coincidence."

"I've never heard of such a case; I don't know what to think," said Chopper.

"Now that I've told you what happened, let's hear your story," said Heather. "Why don't you tell us what you think happened to you yesterday?"

"I'm pretty sure I went to pick medicinal herbs with Doctor Gothi, and then I went back to the castle and went to bed and woke up here," said Chopper.

"Well, I'm being ignored," Snotlout muttered.

"I blacked out after followed up by a giant whirlpool, and then I was here," said Hiccup.

"Same as these guys, I remember going to sleep in my room have to work, and then I woke up here," said Ragnar.

"And none of you remember anything after that?" Heather asked.

It was then that the kettle whistled, and it was that whistle that brought back a memory to everyone.

"That's right, there was a horn," said Chopper. "I remember hearing someone blowing on a horn."

"Same here; I remember horn as well," said Hiccup.

"Me too," said Ragnar as he took the kettle off the stove.

"And then a little boy suddenly appeared out of nowhere," said Snotlout.

"Hang on, I don't think we lost our memories. I get the feeling that kid somehow stole them from us," said Ragnar.

"Well, we don't know that just yet, but I'm willing to bet this child is the answer to our situation," said Heather.

"You think it's possible that we will lose even more memories each time we fall asleep?" Chopper asked.

"Come on, this is just a dream!" said Snotlout. "That supernatural kind of mumble jumble, isn't real?"

"You don't think it's weird that we all have the same dream?" Ragnar questioned. "Supernatural or not, it happened."

"Look, I don't mean to scare you, but if this keeps happening, it could very much reach a point where you're incapable of remembering who you are," Heather warned.

Hiccup then rose to his feet. "The first order of business is to identify this boy is a threat. Was that established? We'll try and find the others and warned them and with any luck will be able to regain our memories."

'Who does this guy think he is ordering us around?' Snotlout grunted.

'Same old Hiccup, a natural-born leader even without his memories,' Heather smiled.

'I do admire his confidence,' said Chopper.

Ragnar smiled. 'I can see why he's the captain.'

Later that day, everyone were would doing their own thing, not able to do anything else until nightfall. Hiccup landed on the deck in his dragon form after doing a flyover of the island.

"Well, I just flew around the island," said Hiccup as he transformed back into his human form. "I spotted a village in the direction that Astrid and Fishlegs went, safe bet that they're there."

"No sign of Toothless or the twins?" Heather asked.

"No, but they could be in the forest," he said and then looked at Chopper, who was mixing some chemicals. "What are you up to?"

"A medicine from regaining memories," he said and then frowned. "Though I don't think it'll do any good."

Ragnar then appeared with a tray of drinks and looked at Heather, who was doing a little research. "Find anything useful?"

"No, nothing suggests that it's nothing but a normal island," she said.

Hiccup then turned to Snotlout. "Did you do anything useful?"

"Did I?" said Snotlout and immediately held out wooden tags. "I made these."

"And what are they?" Ragnar asked.

"Thanks to me doesn't even matter if we lose our memories," he said, putting the tags on the table."

Hiccup and the others just frowned upon looking at them.

Heather looked at Snotlout with a mixed expression. "Not a bad idea, but…"

"You put me down as the cabin boy," said Hiccup.

"And I am not an emergency food source," Chopper complained.

"You've only just put my name on mine, and you named yourself captain," Ragnar added.

"At least we'll know who we are, right?" said Snotlout smugly.

Ragnar rolled his eyes, grabbed the tags and threw them overboard. "Now, how will you put your mind into more useful stuff."

Toothless and the twins were currently looking over the cliff; the twins had explained everything that happened on the ship.

"So you're saying everyone on that ship, apart from that black-haired woman, had lost their memories as well?" said Toothless.

"Yeah, though that Snotlout guy claimed that he was the captain," said Tuffnut.

"Yeah, but everyone else didn't believe him," said Ruffnut.

"Well, the last thing I remember is following asleep shortly after getting on a boat," said Toothless folding his arms. He then looked at the two swords he didn't recognise. "And then there's another thing, I don't recognise the swords. Yet they feel familiar like I've used them before."

"This mystery is making my head spin," said Tuffnut.

Toothless then suddenly sent someone behind them. "Hey, who's back there?"

The twins immediately turned around and drew their swords, but there was no sign of anyone.

Meanwhile, Astrid and Fishlegs had rented a room in the nearest inn as they tried to figure out what happened to them.

"The last written record in the logbook is the day before the date in the newspaper, which means it's current," said Fishlegs as he looked through the logbook. "Also, everything that woman said appears to be true, we joined a pirate crew, and you were the first mate."

Astrid just sat there in the bath as she listened. "How could that be possible? That would make us pirates, and we hate them."

"I find it hard to believe myself, but this is my own handwriting," said Fishlegs. "Also, isn't it a bit strange that everyone on the ship lost their memories, and it looks like the same affliction has happened to the people in this village? There's no way that's a coincidence."

"I just don't know what's going on," said Astrid rubbing her forehead.

The boy with the horn observed the two of them from a nearby cliff was getting rather impatient.

"This waiting is killing me," he said and then turned towards the Going Tiger. "I'll steal every memory they have left, each and everyone."

Meanwhile, on the Going Tiger, everyone apart from Hiccup and Heather had fallen asleep. Heather picked up a blanket and was about appended over Ragnar when you woke up.

"Oh, man," he said.

"I'm sorry, did I wake you?" Heather asked.

"No, you didn't," said Ragnar.

"Just go back to sleep if you want; we'll wake you have anything strange happens," said Hiccup.

"I'm good; besides, do you think it's wise for us to fall asleep?" Ragnar asked.

"The boy may not come were not fast asleep," said Hiccup as he looked at Snotlout and Chopper. "And we need to make it appear that we're still clueless about him."

"Fair enough, but how about I make us some coffee in the meantime to help keep us up," said Ragnar.

"I could really do with a cup of coffee," said Heather.

Before Ragnar got a chance to do anything, they heard the sound of a horn. Hiccup stayed behind with Snotlout and Chopper while Ragnar and Heather went out to confront the boy.

"What are you two still doing up?" the boy asked. "Everyone here is supposed to be asleep."

"So you are the be that stole everyone's memories," said Heather crossing her arms.

The boy chuckled as he removed his hood. "I'm surprised you realised. Not that you can't do anything about it."

Heather then noticed that both Snotlout and Chopper began squirming as if they were having a nightmare.

"Wake up!" Heather yelled, summoning her hands to slap them in the base.

"Ah, you have mystical abilities," said the boy looking intrigues.

"What was that for!" Snotlout yelled.

"What's going on?" Chopper asked.

"Our mysterious visitor has paid us another visit," said Hiccup.

"What?" the two of them yelled in horror.

"That wasn't very nice," said the boy looking angry. "You should have just let them asleep. I really didn't want to do this, but you've given me no other choice."

He then blew down on the horn in the eyes of the seahorse turned red. Heather and Ragnar then suddenly found themselves unable to move.

Hiccup then quickly took on his hybrid form and flew directly at the boy, catching him completely off guard. A split second later, Hiccup punched the horn with his fist and then suddenly, blue smoke came out of its mouth and engulfed him.

"What the heck is this stuff?" Hiccup yelled.

The boy took this opportunity to grab his horn and dive into the sea.

Heather and the others quickly rushed over towards Hiccup.

"What's happening to him?" Snotlout asked.

"I'm scared," said Chopper.

Hiccup then collapsed and toppled onto the deck, and they watched as the mist began to enter through his mouth and nose.

"Wh-what was that?" Snotlout asked.

"Shouldn't we do something for him?" Ragnar asked.

"He's not moving," said Heather.

"He is still alive, isn't he?" Snotlout asked.

"Move aside, let me examine him," said Chopper frantically.

However, before he had a chance, Hiccup suddenly sat up and smiled. "I've got all my memories back!"
