Hiccup and the others enjoyed their boat ride down the canals; the entire city was amazing an architectural marvel.

"We may not be travelling in style, but I have to admit this sure is handy," said Snotlout.

"I thought riding a fish would be so comfy," said Astrid.

"And these Bulls seem to be quite intelligent," Hiccup noted.

He began making their way down the back streets and came across a few kids playing ball.

"Over here! Over here!"

"Okay, here it comes!"

"Oh no, it's too high!"

"Get ready!"

"I've got it!"

The kid then kicked the ball so hard that it sent flying to the other side of the canal.

"Stupid! This is all your fault!"

"I was going to get that one!"

The kids then began chasing after the ball.

"Seems like a nice neighbourhood for kids," said Hiccup as they kept on making their way down the canal. He then noticed that they were houses alongside them. "I didn't realise there would be canals alongside their houses too. They appear to be everywhere."

"I know we should be looking at the map, but I don't want to miss anything," said Astrid.

They then sailed across to men that were playing chess.

"Hey there, buddy."

"Back at ya," said Hiccup.

"What are you doing here? Going sightseeing?"

"No, we're going to have our ship repaired at the shipyard."

"I see; in that case, you should probably go to the back street shopping district first!"

"Checkmate," said his partner.

"Thanks!" Hiccup yelled and then looked at the map. "Let's see back street shopping district… Let's take the next right."

As they were floating by a house, a savvy looking gentleman popped his head out and looked towards Astrid.

"Hello, there young lady, would you like to have dinner?" he asked.

Then suddenly, his wife pulled him back from the window by his ear. "Don't mind him; it's nothing. Men around here always greet the ladies like that when they see one passing by."

"Sounds familiar," said Hiccup looking at Snotlout.

"Why are you looking at me?" Snotlout frowned.

The wife then turned to scold her husband. "Would you stop flirting for girls were five minutes and get some work done for once in your life!"

"Yes, darling. You're the boss."

"This is more like it," said Snotlout as he leaned back. "A warm welcome no matter where we go."

"Hey, you with the snotty face!" a voice above them yelled.

"What?" said Snotlout looking up.

"Nothing," said a man looking down at them from his window, smirking. "I'm just saying, hey, that's all."

He then laughed at in practical joke.

Snotlout glared at him and raised his fist. "You're lucky down here!"

Regardless they kept on sailing downtown with no trouble, but then they saw two canals, one going straight ahead while the other headed towards the higher ground, and both were against the flow.

"Uh, we're about to go against the flow. Is that okay?" Astrid asked, looking at Hiccup. "We're not supposed to go up, are we?"

The Bulls they were riding then immediately took off, heading towards the canal. I was going up, and more shockingly, they were actually riding up the canal.

"Looks like these fish able to swim uphill," said Hiccup.

"Where are they taking us?" Astrid yelled as they swam higher and higher, so high in fact they could see the rooftops.

"No idea, but we're going a long way," said Hiccup.

Then suddenly, their Bulls began to slow down, and when they looked ahead, they saw that the canal was pointing down, and they were about to go over the edge.

"Somebody do something!" Snotlout yelled.

"Everyone hold onto something!" Hiccup yelled as he clung onto the boat.

The Bulls then swam over the edge and began plummeting down, and all of them began screaming. It was like riding a waterslide. They just went faster and faster, making tight turns. They were going so fast that they actually took off at a bend and began falling downwards. They then hit the water with an almighty splash, leaving them all rather shaken, but the Bulls looks completely unfazed.

"That's one way to see the sights," said Hiccup looking slightly relieved.

"There was no need to show off!" Astrid snapped, punching her Bull on top of the head.

However, when they looked around at the surroundings, they discovered that they were actually in the shopping district. They could see several merchants trying to sell goods and several restaurants and cafes. There were also a lot of people riding Bulls on the canals.

"I think it's safe to say that when the shopping district," said Hiccup.

"You're right," said Astrid and then looked at her Bull. "Wait, you guys took a shortcut, didn't you?"

The Bull nodded with tears and its eyes.

"I'm so sorry; I guess I overreacted a bit," said Astrid apologetically.

"This has got to be the biggest market I've ever seen," said Snotlout as he looked around.

"Take a look at that Bull; it's huge," said Hiccup.

Sure enough, floating alongside them was a large Bull; they can only see its neck, but judging from its side, it had to be at least a hundred foot tall.

"Shouldn't we move? It's coming straight at us," said Snotlout.

"Relax, it's not going to harm us," said Hiccup.

Sure enough, the large Bull just swam by them, carrying a boatload of people.

"I wonder if that is a King," Astrid wandered as it swam by.

"What's with them?" said Snotlout pointing at the people riding on the boat, who were all wearing masks and strange outfits. "They're all wearing masks, that weird."

"They are pretty," said Astrid.

"Must be some sort of carnival," Hiccup assumed, and then he noticed that his Bull had a dreamy look on its face. "You see something?"

He looked and saw the Bull was looking at an assortment of food stands on the edge of the canal.

"I see, you're hungry," said Hiccup shaking his head. "It's a shame Ragnar's not here; he would have a field day."

Then suddenly, his Bull took off.

"Hiccup, where are you going?" Astrid yelled.

"I have absolutely no idea!" Hiccup yelled.

The Bull eventually stopped at a food stand that was selling a large amount of meat.

"Hello, there, how may I help you?" said the woman running the store.

"I'm guessing this is your favourite food," said Hiccup looking at his Bull.

"Water Water meat is the Squires favourite food, though we usually cook it for humans," the woman explained.

"I'll take 10," said Hiccup as he reached for his pocket for some money.

The woman nodded and began preparing them. "They're so good that the cooks from gourmet town come by in secret. You've never had anything like it, huh?"

Hiccup soon rejoined the others with his purchase, and he had only taken a bite out of one of them.

"This stuff is so good," said Hiccup. "I'll have to make sure to take a few for Ragnar."

Astrid looked curiously at another massed person swimming by on a Squire. "More masks, people all over town are wearing them. There's something strange about this."

Elsewhere in the city, something big was going down at one of the docks where the shipwrights were working.

"Hey, some pirates are causing a ruckus at Dock 1!"

"What? That's not good!"

"Come on, we better go and check this out!"

At Dock 1, a short blonde-haired man wearing goggles was busy working as he talked to some pirates.

"Sorry, but you aren't making any sense," he said.

"Need me to talk slow for you?" the pirate captain laughed. "So… you repaired our ship. So… then I got to thinking, and no matter how I looked at it, no matter how many times I turned our little deal around my head, I still felt as if you were charging way too much."

"You're interrupting our job."

"Here's the deal," said the captain. "I'm not paying a single Gil for the work you did."

Then he and his men laughed.

"Thanks for the repairs! They were great!"

"So kind of you to do all that work for free!"

Approaching the dock was a man in his 30s with short black hair; in his coat pocket was a small mouse which he was stroking. Next to him was a beautiful young lady with ash brown hair tied in a bun, a pair of glasses and holding a clipboard in her hand.

"Kala, you know what's going on?" the man asked.

"Yes, Mr Iceberg," said Kala adjusting her spectacles. "Those pirates at Dock One customers, but now that the work is done, they refuse to pay."

"I see," said Iceberg.

The pirates were still laughing at the shipwrights, but none of them looked raised in the slightest.

"Look, sir, we take our jobs very seriously. It's not wise to mark are shipwrights like that," the blonde-haired man.

Proving his point, a shipwright spun around holding a newly carved mast, striking the captain in the face with it. The blow was so strong that it knocked him unconscious, much to the pirates' anger.

"Captain!"

Immediately all the pirates throughout their weapons.

"Whoops, sorry," said shipwright as if the entire thing was an accident.

"Hey, jerk! What will you swing that thing! You just knocked out our—"

Before he could finish, a Drake with silver scales swooped down and struck the pirate with the massive saw blade he was holding.

"Whoops, sorry," he said.

"Hey! You punks trying to pick a fight? Who do you think you are?"

Then the lean man with a black moustache swooped in, striking the pirates with his hammer. There was quickly followed by a young man with long black hair striking them with some powerful kicks.

An old man then approached a younger one as he was polishing a cannon.

"Oh yeah, we haven't had a chance to test-fire that cannon, have we?"

"No, not yet."

The pirates were a little battered and bruised, and about half of them were unconscious.

"Damn you! You won't get away with this! We will be back, just wait!" one of them yelled.

Then he and the other pirates were struck by a cannonball.

"You're on shipwright turf; this is what happened when you tried to pull that pirate crap around here," said the blond-haired man looking down at them with the other shipwrights.

Hiccup and the others had finally reached the base of the giant fountain.

"This is it," said Hiccup looking down at the map. "As soon as we take the Watergate elevator, we will be on the shipbuilding island in no time."

"So what is this Watergate thing?" Snotlout asked.

"It's that tower right ahead of us," Hiccup pointed.

Sure enough, there was a tower right next to the fountain, and there were several Squires swimming into it.

"Attention, everyone!" the gate operator yelled. "The elevator is ready to go; Bulls and riders enter now! Proceed in an orderly fashion, please! All aboard the Shipbuilders Island and Downtown Water 7 this time! Passengers should enter the elevator quickly; the gate will be closing in only one minute!"

Hiccup and the others managed to enter the elevator, and they were getting rather excited. The moment they entered, the gate door began to close and then they felt themselves beginning to rise as the water level increased.

"The gate closed," said Astrid.

"We're going up! We're going up!" Snotlout yelled.

"I see how it works," said Hiccup. "First you go in, the gate shuts, the water fills the elevator, and then everyone floats to the top. This entire town as an engineering marvel."

"They really do use water for everything here," said Astrid.

Meanwhile, Ragnar had made his way on deck and noticed that Heather and Chopper were nowhere to be seen.

"Where's Heather and Chopper?" Ragnar asked.

"They said they were going to do some shopping," said Toothless.

"I wish I could have gone with them; I wanted to check this place out," said Fishlegs.

"Well, you can come with me. I've got to do some grocery shopping," Ragnar offered and then looked at Toothless. "You think you and the twins can guard the ship by yourselves?"

"Sure we can; there's no need to worry," said Toothless.

"I'm more concerned about the twins doing more damage to the ship," said Ragnar.

"I'll keep them under control," Toothless assured him.

Hiccup and the others had reached the top of the elevator, and the gate doors were open, and they found themselves near the shipbuilders' yard.

"So this is the best shipyard in the whole world, huh?" said Hiccup as he looked around. "It even more fancy than the rest of the town."

"They've got a lot more ground to work with the new residential district, that's for sure," Snotlout noted.

"And seeing the fountain up close is even more spectacular; it really is beautiful," said Astrid.

They then noticed that a huge crowd of people were gathered around one of the nearby shipyards.

"There's a bunch of people over there," Snotlout pointed. "You think something is going on at the shipyards?"

"Let's check it out," said Hiccup.

At the shipyard, the shipwrights were cleaning up the mess and the people watching them in awe as if they were celebrities.

"Look over there, it's Lael," said a woman looking at the young man with long black hair. "He's so handsome!"

"Palmer is here today too, right?" said the man looking at the shipwright with the short blonde hair.

"Who cares about those guys, huh? Now Lasse, there's a real man for you," said Alman looking at the shipwright the moustache. "Just look at that moustache."

"Whatever, no one is more manly than Tilestone," said a muscular man looking at a very muscular man with a thick beard.

"Hey, Mister," said Hiccup approaching one of the spectators. "What's this crowd about?"

"Oh, it was just some boneheaded pirates trying to pick a fight with the shipwrights again. You know, it happens all the time, but our guys sent them packing like always. Those pirates will never learn their lesson."

"Whoa, that's nuts," said Hiccup. "The shipwrights can beat up pirates?"

"Ah, you must be tourists, huh? The shipwrights are well… they're like celebrities to us. In fact, you might say that this crowd is their fan club. We're always watching the Galley Law Company, their strong, their skill, and they are the pride of every civilian in Water 7."

"They sound amazing; I can't wait to meet them," said Hiccup.

"Then we better get our gold traded in," said Astrid.

Meanwhile, Heather and Chopper, who was in his animal form, were doing some shopping. They were currently looking at a map to find out exactly where they were

"It says here that when the Backstreet Shopping District," said Heather.

"Seems pretty crowded for backstreet, if you ask me," said Chopper looking at the huge crowd of people on the walkways. "It's kind of me that they have places where you can walk around, though."

"They must have a lot of thought in the town design," said Heather.

"Yeah," Chopper nodded, but then he nearly panicked as he saw a masked person walk by. 'So scary!'

As they were making their way down the street, many men were looking at Heather dreamily.

"Would you look at that!"

"What a beautiful young woman!"

"She's gorgeous! A real once-in-a-lifetime beauty!"

"This place appears to be filled with Snotlout," said Chopper.

"Now there's a terrifying image," Heather joked, and then they noticed the stand selling masks.

"What is that guy selling?" Chopper asked. "It looks creepy."

"It's just a mask shop," Heather assured him. "I notice a lot of people around town wearing them, so they must buy them from there."

"But why would they buy?" Chopper frowned.

"It would seem as if the Sea Train to Novta Island where they held a costume carnival every day," Heather explained.

"Huh?" Chopper blinked. "How do you know that? We only just got here?"

"The people walking have been talking about it."

"Oh, and you hear everything they say?"

"I can't help it; ever since I was young, I've made it a habit to keep a critical eye and ear on my environment."

Chopper looked at her in awe. "Wow, Heather, that's cool."

Heather looked around and saw a bookshop not too far away. "Chopper, see that I think we found your book store."

"Really?" said Chopper and then suddenly dashed off. "Can we go inside now?"

Heather merely chuckled. "Of course, be my guest."

"Today is the best day ever!"

Heather merely smiled and began making her way towards her when a masked person walks by.

"CP9," he whispered in her ear.

Heather then suddenly stopped in her tracks and looked as if someone had just walked over her grave. The masked man stood there for a few seconds before walking off, leaving her two days off into space.

"Hey! What are you waiting for?" Chopper asked.

Heather quickly looked back at the masked man but yet completely vanished without a trace.

Chopper was now inside the bookstore and taken on his human form.

'If I'm in my human form, maybe it'll be okay,' he said as he wandered through the bookshelves.

The store owner looked up and saw Chopper. "My… what a funny mask. What's your costume?"

It took Chopper a few seconds to realise that she was talking to him, clearly mistaking his human form for some sort of costume. "Oh… uh, a human reindeer?"

The store owner just laughed. "As long as you're having fun, right?"

Chopper then noticed that there was no sign of Heather, and when he went outside to look for her, she was gone.

"Heather?" he said, looking around. "Hello! Heather!"

Toothless and the twins lay down on the deck relaxing when several armed thugs began climbing on board. One of them then swung his sword right down onto Toothless, but he quickly blocked it with his blade.

"Pity, I was hoping that we could kill you in your sleep," said their leader.

"You bastards sure have a lot of nerve," said Toothless. "Who are you?"
