Astrid had arrived just in time to see the Sea Train moving away from the station then fell to her knees. Palmer arrived a few seconds later, and it didn't take a genius to figure out what had happened.
The two conductorsmen that had tried to stop Ragnar now sufferings from some painful headaches. Ragnar dealt some powerful kicks in, knocking them to the ground before hopping onto the Sea Train.
"Ow," said one of them, grabbing the back of his head. "Seriously, what was that guy trying to pull anyway?"
"Whatever the case, it really doesn't matter," said his friend. "That was a Government train, he'll be captured, and that will be the end of it."
It was then that they saw at the station were Astrid and Palmer.
"Hey, isn't he with Galley Law?" said one of them, looking at Palmer. "Hey, Palmer—"
His co-worker then immediately covered his hand over his mouth. "Try to act professional, will you? It looks like there's something going on between them."
When the conductor looked, he saw that Astrid was on her knees crying and Palmer looked as if he was trying to comfort her.
"This is a train station; people say hello and goodbye here every day. It's our responsibility as employees here to silently oversee things like this."
"Yeah, you're right."
Do that, then the two of them immediately hid behind one of the pillars and looked at them.
"Keep quiet, got it?"
"Quite… got it."
They then poked their heads from behind a pillar and saw Palmer looking at them.
"Train left a little early, huh?" said Palmer.
"Uh, yes, that's right," said the conductor as he and his colleague emerge from their hiding place. "All the passengers were already on board, so they decided—"
His co-worker then shoved him. "And the wind is getting rough out there too. At this rate, Aqua Laguna could hit at any moment. With all these factors in mind, it was decided that the departure time should be pushed forward."
Astrid just sat there on the ground with her hands covering her eyes in silence.
"It's not safe here right now; you should take shelter on the Shipbuilding Island as soon as possible."
"That goes for the young lady as well."
"Yeah, you're right," Palmer nodded and looked down at Astrid. "Hey, listen, the train is gone. There's nothing we can do to stop it. I hate to say it, but Enies Lobby is in the kind of place where…" He stopped when he saw that she was crying. "…are you crying? Hey, look, I understand how you might feel—"
"After them!" Astrid yelled at the top of the voice.
"She's pissed," said Palmer taken quite aback.
"I'll never forgive those World Government idiots!" Astrid roared furiously and then turned and looked at Palmer. "Listen, I need a ship!"
"What in the hell are you talking about?" Palmer blinked.
"The strongest and fastest ship you've got!"
"You wanna set sail in the middle of all this?" said Palmer looking at her as if she was crazy. "Don't be an idiot! Do you have any idea how dangerous this storm is?"
"We've got the best navigator in the world on our ship!" Astrid spat.
"Look, this is not some regular run-of-the-mill storm we're talking about! It's about to be hell at sea around here! It's impossible to sail out now; doing so is nothing short of a death wish!"
"Listen to me, Heather is throwing her life away for our sake, and I'm not going to let—"
Before she could finish, Palmer grabbed her and the conductors and quickly headed towards the stairs. When they looked back, they saw the reason why is a huge wave had just slammed into the station and was beginning to flood it.
As quickly as it slammed into the station's immediately pulled out, but not without doing a little bit of damage. Fortunately, Palmer managed to get them high enough to avoid the water, though it was a near thing, and they still got drenched.
"That was close," Palmer panted.
"Thank you," said Astrid looking at him.
"Yes, thank you," said one of the conductors. "You saved us all."
"It wasn't for you. We all would have been swept out into the sea."
"Look at that," said Palmer noting the damage. "That huge fixer with the train schedule on it was torn apart. Nothing like that has ever happened here before, not even with Aqua Laguna. This thing is power is unbelievable, and the actual storm isn't even here yet. Aqua Laguna is different this year; these waves are coming in fast."
"Hey, is that Sea Train they took Heather on in any danger?" Astrid asked.
"It should be able to make it out of this rough patch before the actual storm makes landfall. Unless it takes a direct hit, that train is capable of cutting through these big waves."
Then one of the shipwrights emerged. "Hmm, excuse me, Miss, but do you know a Fishlegs?"
Astrid looked up. "Fishlegs?"
"Well, he's up here, and he says that he's got something important to tell you. Is he one of your crewmates?"
"He's our navigator; both he and another member of our crew were searching the city together for Heather."
"Well, he was completely alone, and he's waiting outside for you."
Upon hearing this, Astrid immediately ran up the stairs, and sure enough, Fishlegs was outside waiting for her.
"Astrid!" said Fishlegs as Astrid hugged him tightly.
"Fishlegs, where's Ragnar? Wasn't he with you?" Astrid asked, releasing him.
"And what are you doing at the train station?" Palmer asked.
The two conductors looked at one another; they had miss read the conversation between Astrid, and Palmer assumed that he had been courting her.
"Did you see the way that she hugged him? Looks like there's a love triangle going on here."
"No, considering the situation, I'd say the other man is most likely—"
The two of them then looked at Palmer with concerned looks.
"What are you staring at?" said Palmer gruffly.
"We saw Heather going onto the 11 o'clock train, and he said that he was going to hop on board to follow her," Fishlegs explained.
Astrid's eyes widened. "Wait, you're saying that Ragnar got onto that train? We must have just missed him."
"Yeah, and he's not the only one on the train," said Fishlegs. "We saw them dragging Snotlout on board; it looks like those guys in the suits caught him and arrested him. With him was a dashing black-haired man with a ponytail who seemed rather arrogant.
"You must have seen Eret," Palmer deduced.
"Yeah, must be," one of the shipwrights nodded.
"He mentioned another man, and it looks like Eret of all people must be the sixth," said one of the engineers.
"Poor Palmer doesn't stand a chance. Maybe it would be better if he just threw in the towel."
"What in the hell is with you guys?" Palmer frowned, looking at the two of them.
"Before he left, Ragnar did give me this transponder snail," said Fishlegs as he pulled out a transponder snail.
Astrid's eyes widened. "I get it; he left this one to communicate with us once he found one on the Sea Train."
"Wow, he must have anticipated Heather's movements," said Palmer looking impressed. "Pretty impressive."
"I'll say," said Astrid.
"Yeah, we've been staking out the place for hours, and I was beginning to lose hope until Heather showed up," said Fishlegs.
"At least, for the time being, Heather has Ragnar with her," Astrid smiled. "The rest of us will just have to catch up with them at Enies Lobby."
Chopper and the twins had arrived at the train station, though sadly none of them had found Hiccup or Toothless. However, they got a much-needed boost in morale when Astrid and Fishlegs told them about Ragnar.
"Really?" Chopper beamed. "So after that, Ragnar got to the train station."
"Yep," Astrid nodded.
"I'm still surprised that Snotlout's on-board," said Ruffnut.
"Seems like he can't stay out of trouble," said Tuffnut.
"That only just dawned on you now," said Astrid folding her arms. "Anyway, no matter how we're going to follow them, we can't, so we can't do anything until we find Hiccup and Toothless first. Understand?"
"Right, we got it, Astrid," Chopper nodded.
"I still find it hard to believe those two were beaten so easily," said Fishlegs.
"Believe me, I was just as surprised," said Astrid looking at him. "But knowing those two that will become back even stronger and much more determined. To that end, I want you to help with the search; I do know the general direction where they were sent flying, so you should be able to find them."
"But we search pretty much everywhere, and we haven't found a trace of them," said Tuffnut.
"You sure they were sent flying in that direction?" Ruffnut asked.
"Of course, I'm sure, it's not something I'm going to forget," said Astrid. "Do another sweep, and don't rest until you find them."
"Let's do this!" Chopper yelled, looking at the shipwrights. "Are you with me?"
"Yeah!" the shipwrights yelled.
"We won't let you down!"
The shipwrights then began to scatter as they continue the search for Hiccup and Toothless.
Ragnar was currently at the back of the train, thinking about his next move; he can help but notice how strong the storm was.
"Man, this storm is intense," he said, and then he leaned back. "Now, what would be the best way for one to sneak inside this thing?"
Unfortunately, before he could come up with anything, a Government agent opened the door and stepped outside.
"Whoa, this storm is insane," he said, and then he looked down and saw Ragnar sitting there.
Ragnar merely rose to his feet. "Black Death Kick!"
He then kicked the agent across the face sending him flying back into the car. Almost immediately, the Government agents inside the car pulled out their pistols and aimed them directly at Ragnar.
"Who in the hell are you?"
"So much were sneaking around," Ragnar sighed as he stepped inside.
"Hey, hold it," said an agent as Ragnar took several steps forward. "Where do you think you're going?"
"Whoa, did you see that kick? He is not some run-of-the-mill civilian."
"Come on now, if you keep saying things like that, you're going to make me blush," Ragnar smiled.
"It wasn't a compliment!"
"He's making fun of us."
"Hey, go and let Lael Robson know we got a suspicious intruder on board."
"Wait a minute!" said a voice.
Ragnar looked around, but he didn't see any of the agents in front of him moving their lips he wanted when the voice came from.
"This insignificant little matter isn't something we need to bother CP9 with. No matter how vile or unruly this man is, it won't do him any good because, in this car, you've got me."
"Jerry?"
Ragnar looked up and saw a man he could only assume to be Jerry; he was extremely tall had to be roughly 10 feet. Of course, this meant that he had to bend his back to fit in the car and was currently looking down straight at him.
"That's right, you're looking at the champion of the South Blue island renowned for its martial arts," he said. "The undefeated boxing champion!"
"I prefer karate," said Ragnar plainly.
"If you can handle my punches, then maybe I'll show you some," he said as he raised his arms and Ragnar notice he was wearing boxing gloves.
The agent immediately freaked out when they saw him do this.
"Easy, no need to overdo it!"
"Jerry Aura!" he yelled, swinging his punches at blinding speed.
However, Ragnar merely rolled in between his legs and got behind him. Jerry apparently didn't appear to have noticed and kept on swinging his punches at the agents, who, unfortunately in front of him.
"Hey, Jerry, your target is behind you!" said an agent before he got punched in the face.
Jerry stopped and looked between his legs and saw that Ragnar was indeed behind him. "You are a sneaky one. Now listen, don't think you have me at a disadvantage just because I'm so very tall and this train, so very tiny."
"Not exactly the most dignified position I've seen," said Ragnar.
"My boxing technique is more effective in tight places like this," said Jerry confidently. "Prepare for annihilation!" He then crossed his legs behind his neck and positioned his arms around his legs.
"You just shorten your reach?!" Ragnar groaned.
"That's what you think, all part of the plan," he said as he began spinning around. "Screw…" He then suddenly launched himself at Ragnar stretching his legs out. "… Dropkick!"
Ragnar quickly ducked, and Jerry shot right past him. "That's totally against every single rule boxing!" He just shook his head as Jerry bounced off against the door. "This is a waste of time."
He then quickly jumped into the air just as Jerry attempted to strike again, using extra momentum to gain speed.
"Black Death Kick!" Ragnar yelled, slamming his foot against Jerry and causing him to crash to the floor.
The agents were completely terrified upon seeing this.
Unaware of the situation going in the rearmost car, Corgi began to explain to CP9 about the security arrangements on the Sea Train.
"I'll start with the seventh and last car; all the World Government officials are there," he explained. "In order of increasing strength, the fifth car is next. That car holds 40 Marines, and the man who leads them a Navy headquarters captain and a former knight named T-Bone. Next in the fourth car, we have Wald, an accomplished martial artist from Cipher Pol number seven, who also happens to be the head steward on this trip. Standing by in the first car is Nero, the newest member of CP9 and a force to be reckoned with."
All of the members of CP9 just sat there quietly, not looking interested in the slightest.
"Anyway, although we are escorting criminals with Government personnel as trained and powerful as the ones I've mentioned, we needn't worry about the possibility of arrayed," Corgi continued. "Our military might is represented throughout this train."
Meanwhile, the shipwrights were still searching for Hiccup and Toothless, though they've had no luck so far.
"Dragon!"
"Toothless!"
"We're here to help!"
"Come out!"
"Where are you?"
Palmer was with them, but he was still reeling from his clash with CP9, which did not go unnoticed by several shipwrights.
"Mr Foreman, it must be hard for you to even move. Maybe you should take a little break?"
"Don't be stupid; this is nothing," said Palmer determinedly. "Hurry up and find them!"
"Yes, sir!"
"Has anyone gone to bring Iceberg up to speed?" Palmer asked.
"Two men went to give him a report."
Two shipwrights had just informed Iceberg of the situation, and upon hearing the end of their report, he rose to his feet.
"Hey, where are you going, Mr Iceberg? Sir?"
Iceberg did not say a word and merely walked off.
"Hey, Toothless!"
"Where are you? Answer us, Dragon!"
"Hiccup!" Astrid yelled.
"Toothless!" the twins yelled.
"Hiccup! Toothless! Come on, guys, answer me! Where the heck are you?" Chopper asked.
"Please still be alive," Fishlegs pleaded.
The two engineers ran down the street as quickly as they could; they were given Astrid's instructions.
"What's that? Food, you say?"
"Yes, that's right," Astrid nodded. "We need provisions as much as you can provide, and hurry, we are running out of time."
Despite the confusion of this request, the two of them immediately complied, though it was mostly for Palmer's if nothing else.
"How did we end up being a couple of errand boys for that girl?"
"We're not doing this for her; we're doing it for Palmer. He so devoted to that crazy woman even after she dumped him, we got a give this our all."
"Yeah, you're right! Keep going!"
"And any case, she must really be hungry."
"She's still a growing girl, right?"
"I guess."
The only problem was that every single store was closed thanks to the storm, so they were unable to find any provisions.
"It's no use; none of the stores are open. Everyone has evacuated."
"Hey, wait a minute. What about the kitchen back at the train station?"
"No way, think about it. The backstreet are probably already flooded."
"Then we got no choice but to keep looking around here."
"But…"
"Let's keep moving! What you think will happen if we show up empty-handed?"
However, the back streets were no longer flooded. In fact, the water was drained away, and it began to rain.
"Rain," said Chopper as he looked up at the sky. "This is bad; the strong winds are already interfering with my sense of smell."
"Plus, if that storm is as dangerous as they say, then we could be in some real trouble," said Ruffnut.
"Yeah, it could be impossible to go after Heather once the storm hits the island," Tuffnut agreed.
To that end, they continued their search.
"Man, I'm beat. It feels like we've been calling for hours, but there's still no answer. You think that maybe they're—"
"Don't be ridiculous; just keep trying!"
Astrid had stopped and looked at the wanted posters for their crew. 'Hiccup… Toothless… Where in the world are you? There's no way that leopard guy took you out. We finally know why Heather left us, and we need to do something about it.'
"Dragon, where are you?" Palmer yelled.
"Answer us please!" Chopper pleaded.
"Heather needs us!" Fishlegs cried out.
Astrid then ran off. 'Hang in there, Heather, Hiccup, and the rest of us are coming to save you no matter what.'
Palmer then discovered many shipwrights overlooking the terrace but looked down upon the entire island.
"What's going on here?" he asked.
"Oh, Palmer! Quick, come see for yourself!"
Coco was there with Chimney, drinking some booze and looked down into the back streets.
"The more the tide recedes, the bigger the returning waves will be," she said. "If you pay attention to the ebb of the tide, you can measure the magnitude of the storm surge."
Chimney was a little bit more preoccupied holding onto a piece of rope so as not to be blown away by the wind.
"I'm flying!" she yelled excitedly.
"And if you consider how much lower the water level is going to be this year," Coco continued. "Hey, Chimney, take a look."
Chimney poked her head over the terrace, and her eyes widened.
"Whoa, amazing!" she yelled.
The entire back streets were no longer underwater, and in fact, the sea had receded at least a couple of miles away from the city.
"It's almost as if the sea has dried up," said Coco. "I haven't seen anything like this in my entire life. The power of the sea is astonishing."
The shipwrights were completely astonished, and they can only imagine how big the tidal wave was going to be.
"No way, how could the tide be so low?" said Palmer horrified.
"I-I've never seen anything like it."
"Just how big of a wave is coming this time? All of the back streets are going to be completely swallowed up."
"I hope no one is still down there; if there is, they'll die instantly."
"The roar of the ocean, it's gone."
Chimney looked closer down at the back streets and noticed something. "Looky looky looky looky! Hey, granny, take a look over there. I see something."
Coco chuckled. "You do, do ya?"
"Yeah, there's something in between those two buildings. Come on, granny, look!"
Astrid and Fishlegs had just arrived when they saw Coco.
"Coco?" Astrid blinked.
Coco turned and noticed her. "Oh, if it isn't the pirate girl."
"Hey, Miss Pirate Lady!" Chimney yelled, clinging onto Coco's leg. "Look over there! I see something!"
"Like what?" Astrid asked as she came to investigate.
"Just what are you going on about Chimney?" Coco asked.
Astrid and Fishlegs reached the terrace and immediately saw the receding tide.
"No way, what happened to the sea dried up," said Astrid.
"Actually proceeded, that means a big tidal wave is coming our way, biggest one I've ever seen," said Fishlegs. "So big; in fact, it is a safe bet that it's going to cover the entire back streets."
Astrid looked down into the back streets, and he could've sworn that she saw movement between two buildings. She looked more closely and, to her astonishment, she saw Hiccup trapped between them.
"Hiccup," she said.
"Hmm, that's Dragon," said Coco noticing him as well. "Isn't he your pirate captain?"
"Well?" Chimney asked.
Astrid answer instead ran off towards the bridge.
"Hey, hold on!" Coco yelled. "Where do you think you're going? Don't go down into the back streets. It's dangerous!"
"Astrid, you'll get yourself killed. The tidal wave will be here any minute!" Fishlegs yelled.
The shipwrights looked up when they heard this.
"To the back streets? Hey, wait! Somebody stop that woman!"
The shipwrights then immediately began chasing her down, hoping to stop her.
"Are you trying to kill yourself? Aqua Laguna is going to hit any minute!" Coco yelled.
Astrid didn't listen and immediately jumped off the bridge and landed on the rooftops. She then kept on running, jumping off the roots of the back streets to get closer to Hiccup, much to everyone's astonishment.
