Astrid had just gone down to the back streets, and the shipwrights were panicking.
"The pirate girl just ran down the stairs! What should we do?"
"Come back; what have another wave hits?"
"Wait! It's going to flood!"
"Don't follow her!" Palmer ordered everyone stared at him.
"Palmer?"
"You running down there isn't going to do her a lick of good," he said, approaching them.
"But—"
"You know how dangerous it is; you'll drown just like her. If it gets bad, I'll handle things myself. You can't win against the sea."
Of course, none of them even dream that Astrid would jump off the bridge.
"She jumped off the bridge?"
Astrid somersaulted into the air and landed with perfect grace on the rooftop, and they just stared in awe.
"Whoa."
"That lady sure makes me nervous."
"Hiccup is trapped between those two buildings," Fishlegs pointed.
"So she's going after Dragon; this is insane," said Palmer.
"I wouldn't have the guts to do that."
"She is either brave or stupid."
"No, this is definitely stupid."
Chopper and the twins had just arrived a few moments after Astrid had left the back streets. Though they are a little bit more focused when they saw something odd sticking out the chimney.
"That's a weird chimney," said Tuffnut.
"No, it looks like something stuck in it," said Ruffnut.
Chopper's eyes widened when he realised what it was; it was, in fact, Toothless. Without hesitation, he immediately galloped down the stairs, much to the shipwrights' shock.
"No way, not the reindeer too!"
"Toothless!" Chopper yelled as he jumped off the bridge.
Palmer looked at Fishlegs. "Are all of you this crazy?"
Fishlegs shrugged. "Sometimes, I think it's the only qualification one needs to join our crew."
"You're an awesome pirate lady!" Chimney cried.
"Don't be a fool girl, you won't make it back in time," said Coco looking concerned. "You can see for yourself, the wave is going to hit any second now!"
Sure enough, in the distance, they could see a large wave heading towards them.
"Oh man, there's no turning back now."
"They're as good as dead!"
Chopper had finally reached the chimney. I could definitely see Toothless' legs sticking out of it.
"Toothless!" Chopper yelled. "Hey, you okay? Can you hear me?"
"Chopper?" Toothless blinked.
Astrid, meanwhile, had skidded to a halt as there were no more rooftops to jump to. She probably could go around, but she was worn out, and there wasn't enough time to get there before the wave hit.
"This is it. I can't go any further," she said. She then looked at Hiccup and could see that he wasn't moving, indicating that he was still conscious. "Hiccup!"
Hiccup heard Astrid's voice, but he was unable to turn his head into the tight quarters.
"How the hell did you get yourself in that kind of situation?" Astrid yelled at the top of her voice.
"Astrid, is that you?" Hiccup asked. "Where are you? Never mind, I can't exactly explain how this happened. The last thing I remember was being tossed into the air and when I regained consciousness about myself stuck here. I've been trying to get three for the past hour, but I'm unable to move an inch."
"Well, we don't have time for this!" Astrid yelled. "Those guys on the Government took Heather away, and you weren't even there to help! She did all for us; she's going to sacrifice herself!"
Hiccup remain absolutely still as everything sunk in.
Astrid was crying, though it was hard to tell because of the rain. "The Government was planning to attack us, but Heather turned herself to CP9 so that we would be safe!"
"Then she was lying, this whole time?" said Hiccup stunned, and then he looked determined. "I'm glad. Don't worry, I won't let Heather die!"
The shipwrights watched as the wave got closer and closer, and it was gigantic.
"Look at the size of that thing!"
"Oh man, the waves have never been that big before."
"Hey, this is really bad, you guys."
"Runaway pirate lady, you've got a get out of there!"
"You too, reindeer!"
Twins immediately turned towards Fishlegs.
"Should we try to help them?" Ruffnut asked.
"Yeah, we got to do something," said Tuffnut.
"Even if we could, we would be able to get there in time before the wave hit, and the only thing we can do is watch," said Fishlegs.
Chopper was in his human form and was trying to pull Toothless out of the chimney, but he was really wedged in there.
"Keep pulling on me like that, and you'll tear me in half," said Toothless.
"You're really stuck," said Chopper. "How do you even get stuck in the chimney in the first place?"
"Dumb luck," said Toothless bluntly.
Chopper then saw the wave heading towards them and began to panic. "What will we do? That wave is going to hit any second now!"
Toothless had no idea, but then he suddenly sensed something coming from Chopper. "Hold on, that's funny. Hey, Chopper, are you carrying Moonlit?"
"Huh, your sword?" Chopper frowned. "Yeah, I have one of them. How on earth did you know that?"
"Well, I can tell with that one at least since it's cursed," Toothless explained. "Anyway, thanks for carrying it for me. Here quick, put it in my hand."
The wave was practically on top of the city now, and it was clear that it would cover the entire back streets.
"Runaway!"
"Get to higher ground, hurry!"
"It's all over; they're not going to make it."
"Pirate lady!"
"They'll get swept away for sure!"
"Guys, if you're going to do something, do it now!" Fishlegs yelled at the top of his voice.
"Aqua Laguna is here!"
"I should have stayed at home. This is too scary."
"They're done for!"
"I can't watch," said Fishlegs looking away.
"This is both awesome and scary," said Tuffnut.
"Yeah, we would be enjoying our friends weren't going to die," said Ruffnut.
Everyone immediately began screaming as the wind slammed into them with incredible force.
"Oh no," said Astrid as she looked up at the wave. "That wave is huge."
Hiccup began channelling all his strength, but unlike last time after hearing Heather's sacrifice, he found and new in a strength. Then Astrid's eyes widened when she saw that the buildings were beginning to crack from Hiccup's strength, and with one good push, he pushed the buildings aside.
The shipwrights were completely astonished when they saw this.
"Whoa, that guy is out of control. He's knocking over buildings."
"That was incredible," said Ruffnut openmouthed.
"Man, who knew that skinny pirate had that in him," said Tuffnut.
Hiccup then quickly transformed into his dragon form and flew over towards Astrid.
"Toothless!" Chopper yelled as the wave was practically on top of them.
"Stand back, Chopper!" said Toothless as he held Moonlit firmly in his hand. "One Sword Style: 36 Salibre Phoenix!"
He then swung the sword down the side of the chimney, effectively sliced the net in two and freed himself.
"This is bad! They're wrecking the town!"
Hiccup then grabbed Astrid. "Let's get going, Astrid."
Toothless eyes widen the moment he saw the size of the wave. "Holy crap!"
Chopper then quickly bit down on one of his Rumble balls. 'Rumble! Jumping Point!'
He then quickly took on his jumping form and jumped into the air towards Toothless. "Just hold onto me!"
Chopper then grabbed him and then began jumping to safety.
The wave had now struck the back streets washing away a few buildings, and it just kept going towards the bridge.
"They're washing away!"
Hiccup found it very difficult to fly thanks to the powerful wind; he was doing everything he could to keep them steady.
"The wind is too strong. I'm going to have to land at the bridge!" Hiccup yelled as he headed towards the bridge.
"Hey, look, they made it! I think?"
Hiccup managed to reach the bridge and dropped Astrid down before reverting back to his human form. At the same time, Chopper had reached the bridge carrying Toothless.
"You did it!" Chimney cheered, and the shipwrights joined in.
"They should be safe on the bridge."
"Yeah, it's a big way, but it's not that big."
"You guys are amazing!"
"We never doubted you guys," said Ruffnut.
"That was totally awesome!" Tuffnut cheered.
"I'm just relieved they're safe," said Fishlegs placing a hand over his heart.
Unfortunately, they weren't quite safe just yet, because the wave was still coming, and it was going to consume the entire bridge. There was no time to run, and they were struck by the wave with incredible force.
"Oh no, the tidal wave is still coming!"
"The Dragon make it?"
"I don't know man, all I can see is water."
When the tidal wave receded, they saw that the bridge was heavily damaged, but Hiccup and the others were completely safe. Palmer had jumped down at the last moment and used his ropes to catch them.
"Look over there! It's Palmer!"
Palmer attempted to pull them to safety, but it was hard to get a firm grip on the wet stone and to make matters worse, the bridge was collapsing. He felt his ropes slipping, but he quickly grasped them as tightly as he could and pulled with all his might dragging Hiccup and the others out of the water.
Unfortunately, they were about the danger just yet as another wave was coming.
"Hurry!" Palmer yelled. "We're not safe yet! The Shipbuilding Island!"
Hiccup and Toothless then need to be told twice and immediately grabbed Astrid and Chopper. They then quickly followed Palmer up the stairs to the shipyards with a tight away hot on their heels.
"Run for it!"
"The bridge is done for!"
They kept on running until they reached the top just as the wave struck the stairs; the impact of the wave did send them flying. The shipwrights were completely astonished by how powerful that wave had been; it wasn't uncommon for the wave to cover the entire back streets, but never headed reached so far to Shipbuilding Island.
"I've never seen anything like that."
"The waves have never made it this far before."
"I thought we would be safe here."
"Look, the tide is ebbing again."
"Of course it is; this is just the beginning. There's going to be another wave like that and another after that one. If we want to live, we've got to get a higher ground like everyone else."
Hiccup and the others were completely exhausted and shocked by just how powerful this storm was. Chopper was so scared that he was clinging onto Toothless' phase, practically suffocating him.
"You morons, you're lucky to be alive," said Palmer as he lit his cigar.
"Thanks, you saved us," said Hiccup.
"Are you guys all right?" Fishlegs asked as he and the twins approach them.
"We're okay, though that was pretty close," Astrid admitted.
"Man and everyone on the island go through that every year," said Ruffnut.
"You guys must be crazy staying here," said Tuffnut.
"If it was that bad every year, we would be sunk," said Palmer. "I'm just as surprised as you folks are. This ain't normal at all."
"You pirates of one step shy of crazy," said Coco as she approached them. "You're lucky to be alive right now."
"Hey, you that drunk we met on the station," said Hiccup as he sat up. "I admit surprise seeing you here."
"Of course I am, I may be drunk, but I would have to be stupid to stay at sea during this storm," said Coco.
"You were awesome, Mr pirate," said Chimney looking at Hiccup. "You transformed into a dragon and flew right into the storm."
"Wasn't easy," said Hiccup.
Toothless finally managed to pull Chopper off his face. "Seriously, we're safe now! I mean, who will pass out after clinging onto someone's face?"
"Toothless, what were you doing down there?" Hiccup asked. "Couldn't get away before the wave hit?"
"Toothless got stuck in a chimney," said Chopper.
Toothless glared at Chopper, and he immediately went quiet.
"Don't worry, you weren't the only one in the embarrassing position," said Hiccup. "I ended up getting stuck between two buildings. Now back to business, I see that everyone is here apart from Ragnar."
"That's right, I didn't get a chance to tell you and Toothless," said Astrid.
Spandam, meanwhile, was having a pleasant meal as he waited for the arrival of CP9 with their prisoners.
"Things are certainly looking up for me," he said to himself. "Asmund is a generous man, putting all those officers and all those battleships at the tip of my fingers. Not like I haven't earned it, though. Under my fine leadership, CP9 is certainly accomplished excellent results."
His eyes then turned towards a large elephant that was standing next to him. "Now, aren't you proud of your master, Funkfreed?"
Funkfreed merely blew his trunk and rubbed Spandam's face affectionately.
"But no accolade is too great for the team that captured Heather Owson," Spandam continued. "She has been the stain of the pride of the Government for 10 years now. And speaking of stains, now that I know that testable Eric Earlson is still alive, I can have the satisfaction of making him suffer. Only two people in this wide world have the means of reviving Odin, and both have been nicely gathered together and let me tell you, Frunkfreed that train can't get here quick enough. Soon I'll have enough power to bring the world to its knees."
He then began to laugh maniacally.
However, at the same time, Ragnar had just taken down every single Government agent in the first car was now making his way to the second.
"One car down several more to go," said Ragnar.
Astrid had just finished explaining to Hiccup and Toothless about everything Iceberg had told her.
"Let me get this straight, you're saying that Heather sacrificed herself to protect us?" said Toothless.
"That's right."
"Ragnar and Snotlout on the train with her, huh?" He then turned and looked at Hiccup. "So what do we do, Captain?"
Hiccup was standing there looking out towards the storm. "There's only one thing to do…" He then turned and faced them with a determined look. "…we go and rescue them right away!"
The shipwrights just looked at them stunned, but the Dragon Riders didn't look surprised in the slightest.
"Had a feeling you would say that," said Toothless as he rose to his feet.
"Let's go," said Hiccup. "We're on our way, Heather."
