New day, New abilities

The sun was starting to rise as I ran along the shore.

"We need to know what happened Lucy." Loke said, materializing in front of me. "You were dead, but our contract didn't sever. And the mark on your back is a blood contract. What is going on?"

I sighed as I considered his words. "Ok, from what I understand, the people of Angelus were sacrificing people to the Primordial god, Chaos, believing they were talking to the supreme deity, Helios. When they killed me, I was sent to Elysian where Helios trained me to stop his brother. However, all Chaos wanted was to be reunited with his brother, so I stitched their contracts together. In doing so, I freed Chaos from hell and saved the celestial wizards that were kept in an assimilated state. If the door to hell stayed open any longer, all the celestial wizards that were sacrificed to it would have stayed dead."

He looked at me in shock. "so, you are contracted to the supreme deity?"

"I am contracted to both. I managed to combine their powers so I can control Chaos darkness and Helios sunshine. While I was in Elysian, Helios trained me to fight and to increase my magical ability so when I returned to my physical body, I was prepared to handle his power. He thought I should have sent Chaos back to hell and I would have but…" I paused, feeling the bond between the brothers. "…All Chaos wanted was to not be in isolation. It wasn't fair for me to lock him away because I am afraid of the changes I'd face."

"Old Friend…" The voice of the Celestial King rang around me as the heavens opened to allow his heavy frame to stand before me. "…What you did was save the people of Angelus from their greed by being selfless. Since the contract that you designed was solely out of concern for another, Chaos power will not change you. And as a thank you for returning the magic to the spirits, I gift you the ability to star dress."

"What is that?" I asked, watching all twelve zodiac symbols appear on my left arm along with intricate designs of stars.

"It means you can hold the powers of the spirits you possess into your magic in a symbiotic state." He explained as I looked at the beautiful mark. "This is a rare celestial ability. Use it well." Were his last words before he returned to the celestial world.

I internally groaned as I realized I have a lot of training to do. I looked at Loke who was looking at me like I was a science experiment. Feeling self-conscious I muttered, "What?"

"You aren't a princess anymore, huh? I guess I should be calling you, my queen." He smirked as I pushed his shoulder playfully.

"Shut up! I definitely don't want that!" I whined as I decided to resume my run. "I have to meet Natsu at the guild in an hour, so I want to go home and take a shower."

"So… was that Natsu who had you all horny?" He smirked gazing at me with extreme interest.

Loke laughed boisterously and said, "I guess I will have to watch you two then." before returning to his home as I decided to run to mine.

Explanations

I walked into the guild, ready and not ready to see Natsu. What happened between us last night has been on my mind for most of the morning, but I didn't know what to say or how to deal with it. "Good morning, Lucy!" A cheerful voice called out as I turned to face Lisanna.

"Morning, Lisanna." I prayed my voice was even as I remembered just who I kissed early this morning.

"I trust the problem that the celestial king wanted you to solve has been solved now." She said gazing at the tattoos on my forearm.

"Uh… more or less. I was granted a new celestial ability, so I have to train to learn to use it." I explained showing off the mark and telling her which symbol correlated with which celestial spirit.

"That is really cool, and the tattoo is really pretty." She complimented, which caused me to feel really guilty. She told me how she felt about Natsu and here I was kissing him behind her back.

A warm arm draped over my shoulder as Natsu greeted, "Morning Luce." Simultaneously, a small ball of blue fur slammed into my chest, "I missed you Lushi!"

"Hey Lucy, Long time no see." Erza said, walking up to the bar to join us in conversation.

"Yeah, you've been absent for months." Gray commented as I heard Natsu growl.

"I've been going on jobs by myself." I mumbled hoping that was enough for an explanation.

"Lucy, this one has been beside himself with worry for you. I understand that you grew up having to take care of yourself, but we are a family here. Your problems are our problems." Master gently scolded. "Why don't you tell us why the king wanted you to take that job."

I sighed as I pulled away from Natsu to jump into the explanation of what happened during the job, not missing the look of horror that crossed everyone's face when I told them about the sacrifice.

"A lot of us haven't seen you for four months Lucy. You should have checked in. We were worried." Mira chided as she handed me my smoothie.

"four months? I thought it was longer." I muttered to myself.

"What do you mean you thought it was longer, Luce?" Natsu asked, gaining the attention of the people around us.

"I spent a lot of time training with Helios. I felt I was gone for a year, maybe longer and Helios is terrible at time management." I explained as Natsu got this look of mischief. I've seen that look and I know exactly what is about to happen next.

"Fight me!" He jumped, getting into fighting form. Erza's fist hit him, knocking him to the ground.

"She just said she was killed and brought back to life with spirit magic. She's probably tired." She chastised as I glanced at Natsu. He has that look that he gets when he feels that he has hurt my feelings.

"Actually, I could use a sparring partner. I want to practice the star dress ability and I could use some help." I said as I extended my hand to help him up, trying to ignore the butterflies that fluttered in my stomach at his bright smile. "But let's not damage the guild hall. Let's go outside to the training arena."

We had him matched for strength as I flipped off Taurus's back to kick Natsu in the Chest.

"Fire Dragon Roar!" Natsu shouted before I knew it, I was in a yellow bikini top with an asymmetrical yellow skirt. I threw my hands up and a wall of water blocked his attack. He looked as shocked as I did. I glanced at my arm and saw the aquarius symbol glowing. This must be aquarius star dress, I thought to myself as I charged toward Natsu.
