Spandam had just punched Heather and was very pleased with himself. Heather, meanwhile, had terrifying images flowing into her mind that originated 10 years ago when she lost everything.
"Now listen and listen well," said Spandam. "From this moment on, I'm going to make you suffer pain so excruciating agonising that you will wake up every morning wishing you were dead. So prepare yourself; I'm going to hurt you and use you and then throw you out into the sea. A lite as sinful as yours deserves nothing less."
He then laughed, much to Eret anger.
"Oh, and by the way," Spandam sneered. "I just received some interesting news. Apparently, a moronic group of riffraff has decided to infiltrate our island in a helpless attempt to rescue you."
Heather's eyes widened in horror. "You don't mean?"
"Yes, but don't you worry, I'm sure they have been apprehended by now. Dragon Conqueror Hiccup and his crew would trouble us no more."
'There are so stubborn,' Heather cursed.
"They're little more than insects compared to the might of the 10,000 soldiers of Enies Lobby," said Spandam enjoying Heather's helplessness. "Conveniently, we were already preparing a prison transport ship. What perfect timing they have, along with Eret Earlson they will make a wonderful addition as the latest inmates of Impel Down."
Heather's eyes widened in horror even further, and a single drop of sweat fell from her cheek. "Hold on! That wasn't part of our agreement! In exchange for my cooperation and surrender, you promised that he would let the Dragon Riders escape safely!"
"Calm now, what you getting so excited up about?" said Spandam and turned to Lael. "Lael, remind her of the exact conditions that were offered."
"The terms of the arrangement with that excluding Heather Owson, the Dragon Rider Pirates would be allowed to leave Water 7 safely."
"Correct," said Spandam smiling. "There you have it. Fairly straightforward, I'd say."
Heather then suddenly realise that Hiccup and the others had left Water 7, but she had assumed that they would allow them to set sail.
"After allowing them to leave Water 7 safely as promised, the Dragon Riders decided to come here," said Spandam.
"Is this some kind of joke," said Heather gritting her teeth. "You're going to break over the heart of our agreement, over a ridiculous technicality!"
"Not like they could leave anyway," said Eret.
Heather looked at him, confused. "What?"
"Their ship was beyond repair," said Eret. "They had attended to by a new ship, but the next morning they found out the wanted fugitives. Just ask Silvernose; he's the one that did the evaluation."
Heather's eyes widened in horror; if that was true, then CP9 knew the Dragon Riders couldn't leave Water 7 without getting a new ship. Of course, that was all but impossible as she had just framed them for assassinating Iceberg.
"These dirtbags are the lowest of the low," said Eret glaring up at Spandam. "Not a shred of decency in any one of them."
"What did you say?" Spandam glared. He then slammed his foot on his head. "Shut up, you filthy piece of trash!" He then continued to stomp on him. "We're not under any obligation to keep our promises to a bunch of criminals! You hear me!" He then turned towards Heather. "You too!"
He then kicked her across the face and began stomping her. "Don't get cocky with me, understand! Deceiving and capturing pirates is what the Navy does, you insolent wench! You're just the idiot who fell for it!"
He finally calmed down and stopped hitting them.
"You coward," said Heather.
Spandam then grabbed her hair and pulled her towards his face. "Still running that mouth of yours, I see. Rest assured, I will choose a fitting death for the one who spent her life lying, deceiving and betraying others."
He then released her and began laughing. "Before the supreme power of justice, resistance is futile. But look on the bright side; at least your friends will suffer and die with you."
However, unbeknownst to Spandam, the Dragon Riders hadn't been apprehended. Instead, they were pushing the Marines back. Marines and agents were currently chasing down Hiccup, but with limited success.
"Hurry! Don't let him escape!"
"He's alone! Surround him!"
Marines and agents cited cornered him, but Hiccup nearly knocked them back with his Dragon fists.
"Move!" he roared as he punched through. "Get out of my way!"
"Commander, this guy is really scary!"
"Don't alter men; bring him down! Attack!"
He then turned around only to meet Hiccup's fist and was knocked out cold instantly.
"Commander!"
Hiccup then made a break for the courthouse, and Marines and agents immediately fired at him.
"I hope they haven't taken Heather away just yet," said Hiccup.
"I suppose that's enough for now," said Spandam and looked towards to agents guarding the door. "You two get them out of here!"
"Yes, sir!"
"There is a Sea Prison Stone lock on her restraints; make sure it secure," Spandam ordered. "Eric Earlson goes to Impel Down and Heather Owson to Navy headquarters. As soon as the ship is ready, we will set sail for the Gates of Justice."
"Right! It shall be done, sir!"
"Also, take extra precautions with Eric Earlson; he can be extremely violent—"
Proving his point, Eret immediately bit down on his head, and agents quickly rushed over to separate the two.
Burl then looked at Olaf. "Has Dragon been sighted?"
"Yeah, we got a report about a little while back," Olaf nodded. "When he heard the news, Chief got so worked up it was embarrassing. They said that though only five casualties, but that can't be right."
Burl had to agree and turned his eyes to the desk and saw that the receiver on the transponder snail was off the hook.
'The receiver is off the hook,' he noted.
Finally, they were able to pry Eret off of Spandam.
"Don't give us any trouble, tough guy," said an agent as he dragged Eret away. "Let's get going."
The agent then soon dragged both Eret and Heather away.
Spandam sneered at them and looked at the rest of CP9. "You can return to your quarters for now. Thanks to this catch, CP9 will be the toast of Navy headquarters. Our staters will rise to incredible heights, in a covert way, of course, and for that, I would like to propose a little toast of our own."
Lael then rose to his feet. "I'm not in the mood for some ridiculous toast. Nor am I interested in our staters or political influence. Our brand of justice is to assassinate in the name of the World Government; as long as they continue to recognise you as the commander of CP9, we will fulfil our duties to the letter. But we are under no obligation to support your personal ideologies."
Spandam was quite taken aback as he and the rest of CP9 began to leave. "That's… that's a sound argument, but then what is it that you want exactly?"
Lael came to a stop. "Perhaps all that we seek is blood." Lael then turned into his hybrid form and glared at Spandam viciously." And with CP9, we have the privilege to kill."
Terrified, Spandam tripped over and landed next to his desk. He then watched as Lael continued to leave with the others. "These guys give me the creeps, but just as he said, they assassinate legally in the name of justice, and they are very good at what they do. Quite dependable. As long as I have them working for me, there's nothing I can't accomplish; I'm invincible."
He then burst out laughing once again.
The Dragon Riders were still pushing forwards towards the courthouse, and the Marines were completely scattered, trying to search for Hiccup. Some of them weren't even aware that Astrid and the others were making their way to the courthouse.
"Hey, what's the commotion about?"
They all turned and saw massive dust clouds getting closer towards them.
"Something's coming!"
It was only until the dust cloud it wasn't right on top of them when they realised that it was David and Goliath.
"Way to go, David and Goliath!" Teeny cheered. "Keep charging forward!"
"Oh no, it's them! It's those islands that broke through the main island's gate!"
"Fire!" Teeny ordered as the Eret Family open fire upon the Marines upon Goliath. "Don't let up!"
"If you don't want to die, get out the way!"
"Take that and that!"
The Marines and agents were in a complete panic. They were running away from the bulls and trying to avoid getting shot down by the Eret Family.
"Fallback and restore formation!" an agent ordered.
One Marine stepped up armed with a bazooka. "Damn, stupid pirates. You should be so cocky!"
He then fired his bazooka directly at Toothless, but he merely deflected it with his blade. This caused the cannonball to fly down a group of Marines on the ground. Some of them managed to cling on to David and climbed up towards the saddle; one of them even grabbed Astrid's arm.
"Now I've got you, Valkyrie!"
Astrid responded by twisting his arm, and he howled out in pain. "I think it's me who's got you."
Another Marine had managed to get onto the saddle, but Chopper quickly bit down on his head.
"Get out of here!" said Astrid tossing the Marine off of David.
"Beat it!" said Chopper tossing his Marine overboard.
"Smooth sailing," Ragnar smiled. "These two make it easy. Keep going until we reach our captain, King Bulls!"
Hiccup, meanwhile, was still being chased down by Marines.
"Damn, these guys are so stubborn," said he said, looking back; he then looked ahead and saw that another group of Marines and agents were blocking his path. "They're boxing me in."
"He's headed your way!"
"There he is! Capture him!"
"Don't let him go any further!"
"I need to get that courthouse and fast, but it's too dangerous to fly over there," he said.
"Attack from both sides!"
Hiccup saw an alleyway and immediately ran down it.
"He went down an alleyway!"
"After him!"
They turned into the alleyway just in time to see Hiccup flying up to the rooftop.
"He's fleeing to the rooftop!"
The Marines weren't letting him get away that easily and began giving each other a leg up towards the rooftop. Hiccup, so just in time to see them land.
"These guys put stubborn to a whole new meaning," he said.
The Marines immediately drew their blades and charged at him.
"You won't escape this time!"
"End of the road!"
Hiccup looked towards the courthouse. "I guess I have to risk flying there."
He then spread his wings just as the Marines jumped him.
"Surrender Dragon!"
"Stop him!"
Hiccup then took off with an astonishing speed and looked back at them, smiling. "See ya later!"
The Marines ended up crashing to the ground and were now in one big pile.
"Damn, I hate that guy!"
The rest of the Dragon Riders were about halfway to the courthouse, and no matter what the Marines tried to do, they couldn't seem to slow their advance.
"Don't let those pirates go any further!"
"Stop them!"
"Bring down every last one of them!"
"Keep firing!" Teeny yelled as he and his men fired down at the Marines. "Send those Marines packing!"
David and Goliath were practically cutting upright through the Marines. As they carried on on their merry way, David began having a conversation with Chopper.
"Oh, really?" said Chopper.
Marines from balconies were firing at them with rifles, one of them even kneeling next to Ragnar. Ragnar merely pulled out his pistol and fired at them. The Marines cried out in pain as they were being electrified by Ragnar shot.
Ragnar smiled at his pistol. "Man, Hiccup really does do good work."
"Oh, oh, I see," said Chopper.
David continued to talk with Chopper, though everyone else had no idea what he was saying.
"Understood," said Chopper and looked to the others. "So then, when David and his brother Goliath were about to die in the belly of a Sea King, the Eret family showed up. They were rescued and were told these fateful words that he still remembers. 'Don't worry when are going to eat you; I bet you guys taste awful anyway.' And from that day forward, the two brothers swore their underlying loyalty to their saviour, Eret."
"Hang on, let me get this straight," said Ragnar. "The Eret Family brought down a Sea King, eat it, and they just happen to be saved because Eret thought they would taste awful?"
"Pretty much."
Ragnar shrugged. "Fine, why not? Do you mind watching we're going? You're making me a little nervous?"
David roared, and Chopper began to translate. "I will follow Big Bro Eret until the day I die! He says."
"I bet he's really happy that at least one of us can understand what he's saying."
David roared again. "He said, By the way, the masked guy that was with you never made it on board my back. Is that okay?"
Everyone's eyes immediately widened as they looked around and saw that Snotlout was nowhere to be seen.
"He's talking about Masked Wrestler!" Chopper panicked.
"Where is he?" the twins yelled.
"Of all the times," Fishlegs moaned.
"Did he fall off?" Toothless asked.
"Did you hear? He hasn't been here from the start!" said Chopper.
"Don't tell me, did he run away?" Ragnar asked.
"Regardless, we can't go back for him. We have to keep pushing forwards," said Astrid.
Galley Law was still at the main island gate fending off the Watchdogs, but they were starting to get fatigued.
"Arrogant pirates, you can't keep this bullishness up forever! Stand aside and let us pass!"
"If you want to pass, we'll have to go through me to do it," said Lasse holding his blades.
"Fine then. Attack!"
Two Watchdogs then immediately charged at Lasse with incredible speed, but he nearly cut them down with his swords before they had a chance to lay a hit on him.
"This is it really the best you got," he said.
Tilestone then held out his cannon. "Battleship Cannon!"
He then fired Marines, and seconds later, there was an explosion.
"Come on! There's only three of them do something!" a Watchdog yelled.
Palmer was exhausted, but he was betting everything on the Dragon Riders to succeed. The least he could do was make things easier for them as they made their way to the courthouse.
"I believe in him," said Palmer. "He can do it."
"Go! Get the rope, guy!" a marine yelled.
The Marines then immediately charged at Palmer in force, hoping to overwhelm him.
"Not going to happen," he said and then tossed his robe, which then formed into a net. "Shrouds and Ratline Knot!"
"We're done for!" a marine yelled as the net in case.
"Consider this a dead-end, give up and go," he said, looking at them.
At the courthouse, the Marines were still searching for Hiccup, who apparently had disappeared.
"Lieutenant Commander! Terrible news!" said a Marine rushing to his superior officer.
"What is it?"
"It's Dragon Conqueror Hiccup, sir! We can't find them anywhere; he gave us the slip."
"That's impossible! We've got thousands of Marines here looking for him!"
"Even so, no one can find him."
"Don't tell me, as he somehow already inside the courthouse?"
"No, not even an insect could have gone past our defences, sir!"
"Go, we must find Dragon at any cost, men!"
The Marines were right; Hiccup had gone past their defences; instead, he flew directly over them. He was now on top of the courthouse and could see the Tower of Law.
"They're keeping her anywhere it's there," he said.
He then looked down and saw that there was no visible bridge connecting the courthouse to the Tower.
"But there's no bridge, and it looks kind of far," he frowned. "I can fly over, but what about the others? Should wait for them, but I can't waste time is no telling when they will move Heather to the Gates of Justice."
He then jumped down from the battlements and landed on the roof. He then noticed that the air in front of him was rather peculiar, like he was looking into a mirage.
"What the heck?" he stared.
"Air Door!" said a voice, and the air began to open like a door.
Then stepping out of the doorway was none other than Burl.
"I recognise you; you were there with Lael," said Hiccup.
"There seems to be some discrepancies between the report and the actual situation," Burl noted.
"And here I was hoping that you guys wouldn't have figured out."
"To be honest, it did seem a little suspicious; nowhere you only took out five Marines."
"More like 5,000, but who's counting," Hiccup shrugged.
"An invasion like this is unprecedented, this is the furthest that anyone has ever infiltrated into the mouth of the World Government, but that ends here."
Hiccup then clenched his fist. "Out of my way, pal."
"Tell me how long you plan to keep fighting?"
Hiccup then transformed into his hybrid form. "Until I die."
