Back on Rocketman, Chimney was looking through the telescope directly at the courthouse.
"I see," she said.
"My goodness, those pirates sure are reckless, aren't they," said Coco.
"Hey, granny! Hey, granny!" Chimney yelled.
Coco looked up at her. "Oh, boy. Now what?"
"Come see! Come see!" said Chimney excitedly.
The Dragon Riders were now riding on the line as they continue making their way to the courthouse. The Marines were still doing everything they could to stop them; they weren't even slowing them down.
They continued firing their rifles at Goliath, but they had might as well been using pea shooters as the bullets just bounced off his skin. However, they still had trench mortars set up, and those would be effective.
"Wait, aim carefully! Get in your sights, mem!"
"It's trench mortar!" Teeny yelled. "Goliath, dodge!"
Goliath ducked just in time as the Marines find a trench mortar, causing them to miss.
"Damn, the bastards had an ambush waiting for us," Teeny cursed. "Taking the main road sure was a bad idea. Turnaround quick!"
Goliath and quickly turned, making his way through the side streets.
"Sorry, David," said Chopper looking at David as he laid there on the ground.
"Chopper," said Astrid looking down at him.
Then suddenly, she heard a transponder snail ringing. "Who could be calling?" She then reached for the transponder snail and held out. "Yes, hello?"
"Howdy Howdy," said Coco.
"Granny Coco!" said Teeny stunned. "What's going on?"
"All right, sounds like you're still alive," he said. "So, where are you?"
"We're almost at the courthouse, but we're under attack," said Astrid. "Why do you ask?"
"Oh, perfect timing. There's a little something I forgot to tell you."
"That doesn't sound reassuring."
"Well, I'm sure that you're busy, so I'll make it quick. Listen carefully; if you remember that map that Palmer drew you, you might notice that there is no path from the courthouse to the Gates of Justice."
"That's been bothering me, but I was afraid to ask about it," said Ragnar.
"Look at the courthouse; you see those towers on either side?" Coco asked.
"Yeah, I see them," Astrid nodded.
"All right, there's a lever on the top floor of each of those towers. If you folks and get in there and pull them, a drawbridge will come down from the courthouse to the Gates of Justice."
"Whoa, but how do you know all about that stuff, granny?" Teeny asked.
"I came here with Tom ages ago to fix that bridge. Damn stupid and grateful Government!"
"Don't take it out on me," said Teeny.
"Chimney wants to talk too."
"Pirate Lady, hey, can you hear me! Hello!" Chimney asked.
"Yeah, I've got you loud and clear!" said Astrid.
"Guess what, I just saw your dragon pirate friend. He was over on the roof on top of the courthouse just now."
"So that's where he is."
"There was a bunch of smoke and broken staff up there too. So it looks like he's wrecking the place."
"Thanks; hopefully, we'll get there soon."
"And by the way, don't hang up the transponder snail," said Coco. "I would like to keep track of what's going on with you folks."
"No problem, see ya," said Astrid.
"Can't keep the captain waiting, right men?" said Toothless, looking at everyone.
"Aye!" everyone cheered.
"Good, you head straight for the courthouse," said Teeny. "The sooner that your crew get back together, the better, that when I say."
"Sounds good," said Astrid and all the others nodded in agreement.
"Meanwhile, will split into two groups and bring down the drawbridge," said Teeny.
The Eret Family nodded.
Teeny then looked at Goliath. "You heard that Goliath? To the courthouse!"
Goliath roared, but then suddenly, completely out of nowhere, free wrecking ball struck him in the chest. The blows were so hard that he crashed into a building and appeared to have been knocked out cold.
"Goliath!" Teeny yelled.
They could see three shadows within the dust, and they appear to be very bulky men wielding wrecking balls.
"Damn, who in the hell is that?"
"Don't get too cocky, scumbags," said one of the men.
Goliath had been knocked completely out cold and collapsed to the ground, and the Marines immediately cheered.
"All right, the second one is down too!"
"How's that, huh? Not so fast now, are you?"
"Everybody moving!"
"Attention all Marine guards, here in Block D in the south-east quadrant, the pirate's King Bull has been eliminated!" said an announcer. "All units should move in immediately! Form a blockade around the entire area! I repeat all military personnel surround Block D now!"
"Seems like the Jury Men have delivered the verdict for us," said Right Baskerville.
"And it's guilty as usual, huh?" said Left Baskerville.
"Move out and support our men outside!" Centre Baskerville commanded.
"Sir!" said the Marine saluting.
"Yes, sir! On our way!"
The Dragon Riders found themselves in a tricky situation as Marines were closing in on them on both sides.
"The Marines we travelled over are catching up to us again," said Ragnar. "Not good."
"And it's not just them; we're surrounded here," said Teeny.
"We've got trench mortars aimed at us too!" Kaley added.
"There's got to be like a million of those guys out there!" Chopper panicked. "We can't even run away anymore! What are we going to do?"
At the main island front gate, Galley Law were still battling the Marines there; there was starting to get worn out. Then if things weren't bad enough, the Giants had regained consciousness and were moving to the battle.
Coco and Chimney could fill Rocketman shaking as the Giants walked by.
"What is this?" said Coco. "An earthquake?"
She looked outside and saw the two giants walking by. "Where did they come from?"
Naturally, when the Marine saw the Giants, they went thrilled.
"Hey, look!"
"All right! Gabor and Kadir are back on their feet!"
Galley Law was completely exhausted; they were already having a tough time fighting the Marines. There was no way they could handle two giants by themselves.
"We're screwed," said Palmer. "I don't have the strength to fight these guys for a second time."
"We were so close," said Tilestone looking frustrated.
The commander of the Watchdogs laughed. "Crush those criminals into the ground! Drive their bones between your toes, Giants!"
"Found them, Kadir!"
"Pulverised them, Gabor!"
The Giants merely glared down at them.
"What are your big loves waiting for! Make them pay!"
The two of them then raise their weapons, but Galley Law then noticed that they weren't aiming at them they turn their sights on the Marines.
"You bastards!" Gabor glared.
"How dare you!" Kadir snarled.
"Lied to us!" they yelled and swung their weapons down upon the Marines.
Palmer wasn't certain who was more shocked, him or the Marines.
"What the hell," said the commander of the Watchdogs, looking up at them. "Don't tell me they betrayed us!"
"And now with our bosses safe, before we mourn all those years we wasted," said Gabor.
"We're going to let out every last ounce of our anger on you," said Kadir. "Are you ready, Master Wrestler?"
Then, to everyone's surprise, they saw standing on Kadir was Snotlout.
"Let's not waste words, poised this signal for the counter-attack," said Snotlout. "Soon, we'll be reunited with our comrades!"
Both Heather and Eret were in the corridor completely chained up, and to Marines were standing guard over them.
"Damn, you got it good," said Eret. "Not everyone gets their own rescue squad."
"Hey, keep it down!" said a Marine.
Eret glared at him. "Or what you'll kill me. I don't think your boss will be pleased about that."
The Marines looked at one another knew that he was right; Spandam probably had their heads if they did anything to him.
Eret then looked back at Heather. "Just saying, it's not because I'm bitter because my men aren't coming to save me. They've got better stuff to do, I'm sure."
Heather just sat there in silence.
At the same time, at their lounge, CP9, minus Burl, were discussing the gifts that Spandam had given to Kala and Silvernose, which were, in fact, two Devil Fruits. They began thinking back to when Spandam first gave them.
"Ah, that's right, I forgot before you leave you should take these with you," said Spandam before they left. He then pulled out two Devil Fruits and handed them over to Kala and Silvernose.
Upon seeing them, Jabez quickly backed away. "Wait a sec! Those are Devil Fruit, aren't they?"
"My, what a surprise," said Ake.
"I've never seen one in person before," said Olaf.
"It's my first time as well."
Gunner whistled. "Not bad."
"I'm actually feeling a little jealous," said Lily.
"Stay away!" Jabez yelled. "Don't let those things near me!"
"You ate on too; what's your problem?" said Silvernose. "Why the fuss?"
"What? Haven't you heard?" Jabez stared. "There's a reason there called Devil Fruit; it's because the people who eat them have a little devil living inside their bodies. Just think, I get too close to one of those things the devil inside of me might pop out and start fighting with the devil inside the Fruit. If that happens, my whole body will be blown to bits."
Everyone just gave him dull looks.
"You're kidding me," said Silvernose.
"That's nonsense," Burl scoffed. "You're a member of an intelligence agency, and you believe that? What a shame. The condition for the transfer of Devil Fruit powers has been confirmed by scientists on the Grand Line for quite some time. The condition you're talking about only happens when someone eats two Devil Fruits. I don't know if Devil's are involved, but their bodies do burst apart."
"The price agreed," said Lael. "What fools. If you think about the risk that comes from eating one Fruit, you can only imagine what kind of disaster you might bring upon on yourself by eating two of them."
"Huh? So that's how it works," said Jabez and then quickly rushed over to them. "Still, I'm surprised. I can't believe that you got two of these. Pretty impressive, Chief. How did you pull that?"
"Let's just say I have connections; how's that?" Spandam smiled. "At any rate, best of luck."
He then smiled at them. 'That's right, CP9, grow stronger and stronger. As always, there is a risk involved; we don't know what kind of devils reside in those fruits.'
Back in the present, Slivernose and Kala were making the decision whether to eat them not.
"I've never seen anything like this in any reference book," said Silvernose examining his Fruit. "You can feel a strange power coming from them. A heaviness in the air; it's like they're from a different world."
"That's what everyone says," said Kala.
"I've been told that you only learn the name of the Fruit once you absorb its powers, but there's no guessing what kind of ability you might gain."
"Well, there's no denying that a risk involved. The wrong power could ruin your life, and I have away, you'll no longer be able to swim."
"It's not an issue of how you get, but how you use it," said Lael. "No matter what, you won't get weaker, and as for not being unable to swim, it's hardly a problem. It's a rare treasure for the thousands who search for them; I'm sure that most end up empty-handed or dead by the end of their journey. Just try it already; it will be interesting."
"Don't do it," Jabez whispered. "Are you crazy? That thing is evil, or so they taste like crap, I tell you… crap."
"Yeah, right," said Olaf. "He's jealous; he doesn't want them getting stronger."
"Shame, you should know Jabez that the endless resentment is a man's downfall," said Ake.
"We are working for the same team. You know this will just make CP9 stronger," said Lily.
"And given our current situation, it will be beneficial," said Gunner.
"Hey, shut up!" Jabez glared at the four of them. He then looked back at Silvernose and Kala. "Just think about this, if you sell those things, you could make millions. One bite, and you will because for the rest of your life."
However, to his horror, he saw the two of them began peeling the fruits.
"Yep, interesting all right," said Silvernose.
"Here goes; hope it's good," said Kala.
The two of them then eat their fruits.
"Ahh, they ate them! No!" Jabez cried.
Everyone then looked at the two of them closely, and then suddenly, they looked as if they were going to be sick.
"What's wrong?" Jabez asked.
"Is your body going through a strange metamorphosis?" Ake asked.
"Gross," the two of them said.
"You can say that sooner!" Jabez yelled.
"It's really gross," said Kala.
"Yeah, we got that," said Olaf.
"And yet Yate the whole thing without a word," said Ake.
"Well, come on, do something already," said Jabez. "I want to see what kind of powers you've got."
"Give them a moment; I doubt it's something they can do by just snapping their fingers," said Gunner.
"Well, I don't feel as if anything is different," said Kala.
"Soon, you'll understand the extent of your changes," Lael assured them as he rose to his feet. "The birth of new Devil Fruits users is always exciting. Enjoy yourselves, but I'd try to get those powers under control while you still can. Depending upon our orders, we might have to use them in real combat soon. It would seem as if Burl couldn't wait; we'll have to see if he saves any fun for us."
"Yeah, I can't believe that she thinks that Dragon only took down five guards," said Lily rolling her eyes. "I don't think even bother to get confirmation."
"Especially since the first casualty report stated that 400 men were taken down," Gunner added.
On top of the courthouse, Hiccup had completely overpowered Burl in just the first 30 seconds of their fight.
"You're not bad," said Burl as he brushed the blood off his lip.
"Not bad?" said Hiccup raising an eyebrow.
'I never thought he would be able to keep up with the speed of Shave,' said Burl, generally concerned. 'I'll have to watch that and those thick dragon scales of his making immune to most direct attacks.'
"Moonwalk!" he yelled and vanished.
Hiccup quickly looked up and saw him bouncing around in the air.
Hiccup quickly opened his mouth. "Plasma…"
"Tempest Kick!" Burl yelled, swinging his leg.
Hiccup had a pullback just in time to avoid the slash of wind from Burl's attack. The attack was strong enough to slice through one of the battlements on the courthouse, but Burl wasn't done yet. He quickly came with another swing with his leg, and Hiccup quickly jumped over it, causing Burl to slice through yet another battlement.
"Iron Body!" said Burl.
Hiccup land on the ground the quickly moved as a split second later, Burl swung his leg down towards him.
"Wheel!"
Burl then began doing cartwheels with unbelievable speed while performing his Tempest Kick. He was literally slicing across the ground as he spun, forcing Hiccup to fly backwards so that he wouldn't get shredded. Hiccup then gave his wings a giant flap to put as much distance between the two of them.
"Door Door!"
Burl used the cover from the dust in order to create a door in the floor and dived into it before Hiccup had a chance to counter-attack.
"He's beneath me now," said Hiccup.
"Door Door!"
Suddenly little doors emerge next to Hiccup's feet, and then Burl grabbed his legs. Then with one good turn, he pulled him into the doors, trapping his legs inside the doors he created.
"He created a bunch of little doors beneath me," said Hiccup as he tried to free himself, but the doors were just too tight. "I can't move! He's trapped me!"
Burl then created another door to emerge back onto the roof.
"So this is your Devil Fruit powers heard so much about," said Hiccup.
"The Door Door Fruit naturally," said Burl. "I turn all that I touch it doors."
He then swiped his hand across Hiccup's face, and a split second later, the middle section of his face containing his eyes and nose began spinning around like a revolving door.
"Revolving Door!"
Hiccup was becoming insanely dizzy and a little disoriented as he stood still while his eyes spun around.
"This is insane spinning around while standing still," said Hiccup. "I'm going to hurl."
"Tempest Kick!" Burl yelled, swinging his leg.
The Dragon Riders then heard a noise coming from the courthouse and witnessed one of the battlements had been sliced clean off. They could also see Burl standing on the roof, and more worryingly, there was no sign of Hiccup.
"Did you see that?" Toothless asked.
"Yeah, I saw," said Ragnar. "You know what that means?"
Astrid nodded. "Hiccup is already fighting CP9."
"What?" said Fishlegs and Chopper.
"Huh? Seriously?" said Teeny. "Damnit! We're too late! But there's nothing we can do, we're totally surrounded, and after taking that last big head, I doubt Goliath is going anywhere!"
The Marines were certainly taken advantage of this firing with everything they had.
"Everyone opened fire and shoot those pirates down from the monster before it gets back up!"
"Look, we got a run," said Toothless. "We can't wait here any longer!"
"Yeah, let's cut through to the courthouse," said Ragnar.
"It is only a few blocks away. We can make it," said Astrid.
"It's our only option," Fishlegs agreed.
"Then let's go and kick some butt!" said the twins.
Eret Family were with them.
"Right, let's go! You ready?"
"Yeah!" they all cheered.
"Wait!" Chopper yelled. "Nobody get off!"
Everyone then turned and stared at him.
"What? Why?" Fishlegs frowned.
"Everyone, hold on tight!" Chopper yelled with tears in his eyes.
Goliath then began to move using the last of his strength and roared as loudly as he could.
"T-That is what Goliath says," Chopper cried.
The Marines were completely shocked that Goliath was still able to move.
"It's still alive!"
"The monster is getting back up!"
"Fire! Stop it with the trench mortars!"
"Take that thing down!"
The Eret Family then began to counter-attack, firing down the Marines
"Return fire, come on, hurry!"
Goliath and began to move once again.
"Go, Goliath! Charge" Teeny yelled.
