Here is the next chapter. In this one, Lewis escapes. This is 15x21 and 15x22 beasts obsession and postmortem blues. I'm combining the two episodes into one chapter. I also wanted to show that meltdowns can be avoided in people with autism if caught early enough. I am still following the storyline but this will be more focused on Amanda's emotions with Lewis on the loose. Cragen will also be a part of some of these one shots. Hope yall enjoy. The next one will just be an unrelated one shot that will focus on Amanda and Olivia and how they live together with Amanda being autistic. I got the idea of them living together from fangirlmoon's story/series to build a home.
At approximately 8:45 last night, William Lewis escaped. Olivia's words ran through Amanda's head as she tried desperately to not break down. Everything was different. Everything had been changed, and Amanda Rollins hated change. Olivia was on protection, which meant her detail was with them 24/7.
On top of that, Murphy was in charge which she was none to thrilled about. Olivia was who she reported to now, not Murphy. Fin looked up when he heard an agitated growl followed by a crash. Glancing around, he saw Amanda's items from her desk on the floor and the blonde in the middle of it, breathing heavily.
"Amanda, hey." He whispered, carefully approaching his friend.
"He's out!" She suddenly screamed, tears making their way down her face without warning and he sighed, knowing this was extremely hard on her with Nick still somewhat giving her the cold shoulder, seeing Olivia's nightmares and Cragen leaving and Olivia becoming the boss.
"Hey, shh." He said, seeing the looks they were receiving. "Liv." She pleaded, making him look around, wondering where the brunette had gone.
Amanda was pacing the length of the squad room, resisting the overwhelming urge she had to hit. Olivia had given her detail the slip, and Amanda knew where she was. "Not again." "God, no." She began muttering, her pacing becoming more frantic. "Are you ok?" Fin asked gently, placing a hand on her arm. "Are you ok?" "Are you ok?" "Are you ok?" "No."
"With Lewis." She said and he nodded. "I know, Amanda but we will find her." "We will find her." "We will find her." "Yes, find her." She responded, and he knew this was her way of processing things right now. He also knew, that if he wasn't careful that she could potentially have a meltdown. Right now though, it hadn't quite hit yet. It was in the rumbling stage, and he hoped with everything in him that it stayed that way. He loved his partner, but when she began having a meltdown, Olivia was the only person who could calm her. She was also better at catching them than he or Nick.
He assumed though that it would hit eventually. He just hoped when it did, that Olivia would be there.
Listening to Lewis over the radio, Amanda was slowly beginning to spiral. Her hands began twisting together repeatedly as she started rocking back and forth. Fin glanced over at his partner, seeing her distress levels increasing each time Lewis or Olivia spun the chamber of the gun.
"Your turn." Lewis said, and Amanda let out a distressed whine. Cragen gently lead Amanda away from the scene.
"Liv!" The blonde shreeked and the elder man held her close while talking softly in her ear.
"It'll be ok, sweetie." "You'll see her soon, but right now, we are going to go some place quiet." He said gently.
"Some place quiet, need Liv." She said.
"I promise you will see her soon." "You have my word, but right now, you are overwhelmed." He told her.
"You are overwhelmed." She repeated before continuing to speak. "Overwhelmed, scared, gun, need Liv to be ok."
"I know, and she will be, but that's why Fin called me, because you need to have a break." He said. "You have my word though, that as soon as this is over you will see Liv." He said and let out a relieved breath as she nodded, gently leaning into his side and placing her headphones over her ears and completely relaxing.
Watching Olivia being loaded into the ambulance seemed to break Amanda out of her calm bubble and she hurried over, stopping at the open door and peering in at her friend. "Hey, baby come here." Liv whispered. "Come here, blood." The blonde said, seeing the red substance coding her boss's face and beginning to shake. "It's alright, detective Rollins." Said a kind young emt.
"She's nonverbal." The brunette explained and the young woman namedStephanie nodded, giving Olivia an understanding look.
"I have a sister who's autistic." She said and the brunette let out a relieved breath. Most people weren't sure how to help Amanda, and she was just glad Stephanie was with them.
"It's alright, detective Rollins." Amanda repeated before sitting on the stretcher next to the brunette, carefully leaning against her. "Blood." She said, motioning to Olivia's face and Stephanie knelt down in front of them. "It's ok, Amanda." "We are going to get her cleaned up." She assured.
Arriving at the hospital Nick went with Olivia and Amanda was with Fin and Murphy, although she would rather be with the brunette. "Tucker's in the house." Murphy said, and Fin scowled, an angry frown taking over his face. "Grave-dancing mother-" Fin started but was cut off by Murphy. "Easy, Fin."
"Given what happened, one-Pp is going to dissect everything that's happened over the last 24 hours." Murphy continued and the two men were stunned when Amanda, who had remained quiet spoke up.
"Still, he can't wait for the blood to be off her face?" "Stand down, you two, I got this." Murphy said and the blonde just let out an irritated growl, beginning to pace and repeat Murphy's words. "Stand down, stand down." "I won't fucking stand down." She suddenly yelled, her pacing intensifying and when Fin saw Tucker, he knew this wasn't going to go well.
"Excuse me, Sargent Benson isn't receiving visitors." Murphy said. "Who the hell are you?" "Lieutenant Murphy, acting commander, SVU."
"We can stay with you." "Maybe order in?" Nick said as he, Olivia, Amanda and Fin entered the apartment the two women shared. "No." "Thanks, guys, but I think I just need to sleep." She said softly, glancing at Amanda who was curled up next to her, a chew necklace in her mouth.
The two men nodded, seeing cragen walking through the door before they quietly exited the apartment, knowing Olivia needed time with Amanda.
