Everyone had just heard Hiccup yelling from the top of the courthouse.
"Chief Spandam, sir," said a Marine rushing to him. "There's a man standing on the courthouse roof, whose shouting things at Heather Owson. I wasn't unable to confirm his identity up close, but I assume it must be Hiccup!"
"On the rooftop?" Spandam stared. "How can that happen when I saw Burl at the edge just a second ago? I thought he was keeping watch, that idiot. What the hell is he doing!"
He then began running towards the window.
Hiccup felt his stomach growling. "Get up and running around a lot, but it's a good thing that I bought a snack with me."
He then pulled out a sandwich wrapped in a handkerchief and began to eat.
"I guess there's nothing to do until I see Heather or the rest of the gang," he said to himself.
Spandam had reached the window was looking down towards the courthouse. "So that's him, huh? Dragon Conqueror Hiccup? What the hell is going on here? If Burl was up there, he should have—" He stopped when he saw Burl unconscious on the ground. "It can't be. No, he couldn't have… Burl is a member of CP9, a Six Powers Master with Devil Fruit powers no less; his power level is superhuman. How could that scrawny brat ever defeat him?"
He was so terrified that he fell over.
"Chief Spandam, sir! How should we proceed?"
"Lael… where is he?" Spandam asked. "Somebody call him now! And the rest of CP9 too! I've had enough; I won't be satisfied until they wipe out Dragon and everyone in his wretched crew!"
"Uh, yes, sir! Understood!"
"And while you're at it, tell Baskerville that if he lets the Dragon Riders lower that bridge, I'm going to send all three of his heads rolling!"
"Yes, sir!"
Heather just sat there trying to keep her emotions in check, but Eret could tell she was a little frantic.
"Hey, keep that chin up, Heather Owson," said Eret. "You know most people wouldn't come here to save their friends. Hell, most people couldn't even make it here at all. Don't get me wrong, I know the only reason that you agreed to the Government's terms was so that you could protect them, but you saw what happened.
They don't give a damn about keeping their word to you or anyone else; the deal is shot. Even if you keep your end of the bargain, it's not going to help anyone. The only thing left is to wait for your crew to break you out of this dump; it doesn't sound so bad to me. And yet here you are looking as miserable as ever; I get the feeling that you're running from something even your friends don't know about. I wouldn't worry about the Dragon Riders dying in this place, but if you can't look them the eye in the end, they will be able to save you."
Heather just remained silent.
Eret sighed. "Well, whether you like it or not, I'm going to make you face them."
Spandam was finally giving out orders to the Marines and agents.
"Listen up, all you!" he barked. "We're putting Heather Owson out of Dragon's reach immediately! Come with me to the Gates of Justice, bring the prisoners!"
"B-but Chief," said a Marine.
"No buts, just do it!" he snapped.
"Well… there's one giant butt that's a big problem!" he said, pointing at Eret.
Spandam looked at Eret, and his jaws practically hit the floor as Eret's butt was now bloated like a hot air balloon.
"What the hell is that?" he said.
"Oh, hey, Spanda," said Eret casually. "Like you said, I'm pretty much screwed. So I figured that I might as well blow myself up, you know."
"What?"
"That way, at least I get to take your sorry ass with me when I go."
"You fool! Wait a minute, will you!"
"When my butt goes off, the explosion is at least going to be a mile wide. Not much point in running, but you might as well try."
Everyone immediately panicked and began running away.
"I don't know what's going on in your pants, but make it stop!" Spandam pleaded as he ran away with his men.
"Three… two…"
"Damnit, I can't die a time like this!" Spandam panicked and dived down the stairs.
"…One!"
"Stop it!" he yelled as he jumped down, landing on top of several Marines.
Eret then looked at Heather. "Time to go, Heather."
He then twisted his body and locked his legs around her.
"Coup De Boo!" he yelled.
Then he only swatted, only be described as a very powerful fart, so powerful that he shot straight through the wall. He kept on going until they landed outside; they would have borne off the edge of the metal fence hadn't stopped them; it also had a nice side-effect of smashing the chains binding.
"Good, the chains are broken too," Eret smiled.
Eret then noticed that the fence was beginning to give way, and they were hovering directly over the waterfall.
"We're falling!" he panicked.
He then quickly grabbed Heather and jumped with all his might back onto the balcony just before the fence gave way.
"That was a close one," Eret panicked. "Good thing that fence was there to catch us, huh? Hey, he didn't get hurt, did you?"
Heather just sat there completely speechless.
"If I had another bottle of cola, I could get us to the other side with a Coup De Boo," he said, getting to his feet. He then noticed Hiccup standing there. "Hey, Dragon is over there. Now's your chance; better give your answer."
By this point, the Marines realise that Eret had no intention of blowing himself up.
"Argh, he tricked us! Chief, Eret and Heather Owson broke the chains and went out on the balcony!"
"Then what are you waiting for, stupid!" Spandam yelled. "Capture them already! If you let them get away, I'll send you all to the gallows!"
"What?" said the Marines.
Hiccup spotted Heather on the balcony.
"Ah, there you are, Heather!" said Hiccup.
"Hiccup…" said Heather softly.
"Don't let them get away!" said the Marines charging towards them. "Grab them before they run!"
Eret turned to face them and raised his left arm. "I don't have time for you thugs right now. Weapons Left!"
He then took down the Marines easily.
"Sounds as if Eret is up there too," Hiccup noted. "I'll be there in two shakes of a dragon's tail."
Heather just stood there stunned as he transformed his hybrid form and raised his wings.
"Stop it!" she yelled at the top of her voice.
Hiccup stopped just before he was about to take off and looked up at her.
"How many times do I have to tell you I'm not coming back! I'm not part of your crew anymore!" she yelled. "Just go away! I never see your face ever again, don't you understand? Why did you come to save me in the first place? Why can't you just let me go? I never asked for this; you've gone too far. For the last time, I don't want you here! Did you hear me? I just want to die!"
Spandam had heard everything began clapping, laughing with amusement. "Now, this is entertainment, what a twist."
Eret rushed over to her bewildered. "What the hell are you trying to pull? Your friends put their lives on the line to come here! And you—"
"They decided to do that on their own," she said.
"Are you kidding me? Who cares—"
He was then kicked across the face by Slivernose.
"You're in the way," he said as he walked by.
Jabez just laughed as he walked by. "What's wrong, Silvernose? Venting your anger because your Devil Fruit powers are so lame?"
"Oh, shut up already!" Silvernose snapped. "I like my powers just fine."
Soon emerging from the windows in the Tower of Law and using Moonwalk to reach the balcony with the other members of CP9.
"Oh, all this ruckus for one little pirate?" said Kala.
"That little pirate practically carved his way through the island," Lily pointed out.
"Alone he may be, his perseverance is certainly admirable," said Ake.
"I'll be damned, so he beat Burl after all," said Jabez laughing. "What a fool."
"Being a barkeep of five years probably didn't do his fighting skills any favours," said Lael.
"So it would appear, but it is still a surprise," said Silvernose.
"Or maybe that pirate is stronger than we think," said Gunner flicking his hat.
"Either way, he lost," said Olaf.
Spandam laughed. "I'm glad you could all make it CP9 and just in time too! It would seem as if the Dragon Riders are having a little tiff. It's quite amusing; you really shouldn't miss it."
At the Plaza, Magni was still pummelling the Marines trying to gain entry. There were a few times you got excited and left the doorway, only to fall back.
"Good work out there, Magni!" said a member of the Eret Family. "Keep it up!"
Magni just gave him the thumbs up, but then suddenly, a wrecking ball struck the member from out of nowhere. The owner of that wrecking ball and another that the gladiators encountered earlier.
"Guilty! Guilty!" they said repeatedly.
"Yes, it's the Guilty Jury!" a Marine smiled.
"Step aside, it's time for that frog you hear its verdict," said the gladiator walking by the Marines.
Magni wasn't the only one having problems with this Jury; up in the west tower, Kalena was facing them as well.
"Guilty!"
"Guilty!"
Ragnar had separated from the others and kicked back one of the wrecking balls that the Jury tossed at him. However, that was not backed by another wrecking ball before it hit its owner.
Astrid and the others had also encountered them.
"Just what we need, more weirdos," Fishlegs moaned.
"Guilty! Guilty!" said the Jury swinging his wrecking ball.
"You two stay behind me," said Astrid as she took up a fighting stance.
Teeny was still fighting against Chief Justice was starting to get exhausted.
"I have to admit, I never thought that they would be an actual judge on this island," he said, panting. "I heard the people who get taken here already considered guilty. So the Marines just leave the poor saps through an empty court without even stopping."
"I'm afraid you're mistaken, pirate," said Right Baskerville. "On the contrary, this court carries the integrity of the greatest authority in the world. Even scum like you are given a trial by jury."
"However…" said Centre Baskerville.
"…The jury here consists entirely of former pirates, who have been condemned to death row in this very courtroom," Right Baskerville explained. "Therefore, their only desire is to drag others down with them."
"This place really is the key to the underworld, isn't it?" said Teeny, horrified.
"So it all the trials carried out on this island…" said Left Baskerville.
"…now once…" said Centre Baskerville.
"…has any criminal found not guilty," said Right Baskerville.
Up in the east tower, Kaley was about to be squashed by one of the wrecking balls wielded by the Jury.
"Kaley!" said one of her men, pushing her out of the way.
The wrecking ball hit him, and another one of her men smashing through the wall at the two of them fell towards the ground.
"Oh no!" she cried, rushing to the edge.
"Guilty!" said the Jury.
"Guilty!"
At the west tower, Kalena and her men were having similar problems.
"Damn, they're too strong!"
"We can't give up now!" said Kalena. "If we don't bring down the drawbridge, it's all over. Remember Dragon is going to be the one that's going to rescue our bro! If we can't help you with this, then we have no right to call ourselves the Eret Family!"
Magni had been fending off the Jury, but all the attacks had worn him down, and then one of the wrecking balls broke through his defences.
"Magni!" said a member of the Eret Family, horrified. "You took all those blows worse and never budged an inch! I'll avenge you!"
He then began firing his rifle at the Marines, but they merely bounced off their shields.
"Don't bother! We still have 6,000 Marines, now let's storm the courthouse men!"
"Crush those pirates!"
The Marines began charging towards the courthouse, and it didn't look as if they were going to break through the defences. However, it was then that Kadir and Gabor arrived, blocking the Marines path.
"What's going on?" said the Eret Family members staring up at the giants. "While the giants here?"
"It's the frog," said Snotlout's voice.
The Eret Family looked up and saw Snotlout climbing down from Kadir's shoulder.
"What's the situation here?" he asked as he jumped down.
"Wait, I know you. You're with the Dragon Riders. What are you doing with those giants?"
"Can't believe he held off all those Marines of his own," said Gabor looking at Magni.
"Yeah, he's one hell of a frog," Kadir agreed.
Toothless and the twins were now completely lost in the labyrinth of the courthouse.
"I swear we're just going round in circles," said Toothless noticing the unconscious agent. "We passed that guy about three times already."
"I told you we should have gone left," said Ruffnut to her brother.
"No, I'm the one who told you!" Tuffnut snapped.
"We don't have time for this," said Toothless and looked up towards the ceiling. "Looks like you're going have to take the direct route."
He then drew all three of his sword and began spinning around. "Dragon Twister!"
He then created a powerful tornado with a swing of his swords which tore through the ceiling towards the roof. Unfortunately, Astrid and her group were directly beneath the tornado and could feel the floor shake.
"Now what?" Fishlegs asked.
Toothless' tornado tore through the ground beneath the Jury knocking him out cold. However, also caused the floor to become unstable began breaking apart.
"We've gotta keep moving!" Chopper yelled.
"Run!" Astrid yelled.
They began to run down the corridors. The tornado kept on tearing through the corridor, but they didn't move fast enough and ended up getting caught in the vortex.
Outside, the Marines were now in disarray as the Giants began tearing through them. Gabor began stomping all over the Marines while Kadir guarded the door.
"You pirates really are in a league of your own, aren't you?" said a member of the Eret Family. "You're even strong enough to order giants around. It's almost scary, really."
"Oh, well…" said Snotlout.
"Oh, by the way, your other crewmate are headed to the roof right now."
"The roof?" Snotlout blinked.
"You should go beat them."
"Leave that one to me; I'll get you there in a flash," said Kadir.
Hiccup was still standing on the top of the courtroom.
"You want to die?" said Hiccup looking at Heather.
"That's right," she said.
"Wait for a second, Chief," said Jabez looking at Spandam. "Why are we listening to this crap? When we can just go over there and pound that guy is facing?"
"Patients, patients," said Spandam casually. "Here we have a captain, who risked his life to save one of his crewmates only to have his precious hopes dashed at the very last second." He then began making his way towards the balcony smiling. "How tragic, and yet I can't tell my eyes away. It's too amusing."
"Heather, I don't know what to say!" said Hiccup.
Spandam laughed. "Can he be even more pathetic? I've got to see the look on his face."
He looked down at Hiccup, expecting to see overwhelming despair, but to his shock, he looked more exasperated than anything.
"All I can say is, this is getting old," Hiccup sighed.
Spandam just stared at him.
"I'm afraid that's not going to fly with us," Hiccup continued. "I mean do you have any idea how hard it was to get all the way over here."
Toothless' tornado that tore through the roof and been sent up into the air was the Jury, Astrid, Fishlegs and Chopper. Finally, the vortex stopped, and they all fell towards the roof. Astrid landed on her feet perfectly, but Fishlegs and Chopper weren't as agile and landed on the heads.
"We're still going to save you no matter what," said Hiccup. "But you still want to die after we're all back together… well, that's your choice."
Astrid looked at Fishlegs and Chopper. "Are you two all right? It looks like you land on your heads?"
"Well, my head is ringing," said Fishlegs.
"It will pass; no need to worry," Chopper groaned. "But what the heck happened back there?"
"I have a pretty good hunch," said Astrid and then looked over the Tower of Law.
Toothless and the twins then finally climbed out of the hole and onto the roof.
"Should have done this in the beginning," said Toothless.
"It's certainly more direct than the stairs," Ruffnut agreed.
"And we didn't get lost once," Tuffnut added.
Astrid looked at Toothless. "You know you could have killed us with that little stunt."
Toothless looked at her. "Sorry, but on the plus side, we did have to tangle with all those Marines in the courthouse."
Then something smashed through the roof, and shooting up into the sky was none other than Ragnar.
"So I'm a little late; traffic was terrible," said Ragnar looking at the others.
"Looks like I weren't the only one with the same idea," Toothless noted.
Then suddenly they heard a scream and turned to find Snotlout flying through the air.
"It's Masked Wrestler!" Chopper pointed.
Kadir had tossed Snotlout into the air with a powerful throw.
"And he's flying," said Ruffnut.
"He is a superhero; we should be surprised," said Tuffnut.
"Where has he been all this time?" Ragnar blinked.
"More importantly, how is he going to land," said Astrid.
Snotlout then began falling towards the roof.
"Look at that; the gang's all here," said Silvernose.
"Quite the show indeed," said Ake. "Although they may be sworn adversaries, to have come this far is truly quite impressive."
Snotlout had hit the ground, and now his head was buried in the roof. All of them then immediately rushed towards him and began pulling him out.
Spandam looked as if he was going to have a heart attack. "This isn't funny anymore! Just go away!"
Heather just stared at them all; she couldn't believe that all of them had come this way to rescue her.
"You can say whatever you want, Heather, if you want to die or whatever, that's fine, but when you say it, you say as part of our crew," said Hiccup.
"He's got that right!" Ragnar yelled.
"Come back, Heather!" Chopper pleaded.
Heather just looked at them all, and tears began to form in her eyes.
"Hey, Masked Wrestling, can you stand?" Toothless asked.
"Yeah, of course," said Snotlout as he sat up. "A fall like that won't stop me."
With that, all of them began making their way towards Hiccup and stood on the battlements of the courthouse, looking up directly at Heather.
"For now on, leave everything to us," said Hiccup.
