POV: John Shepard*
Man, fuck the council. Especially Sparatus, dick. I understand bits of their thought process but it was still annoying, treated me like a little kid. Could've been worse I guess, could've treated me like an incompetent fool. At least Valern was mildly respectful and Tevos was understanding, I didn't trust her though. No one's that nice or considerate without an ulterior motive.
Valern you knew was trying to find ways to exploit you if it presented itself. Spartacus was just being an ass but I suspected he'd be my best ally in the future, he's military through and through and once he sees results he'll warm-up. Tevos on the other hand was the silent dagger. The one you don't realize is there until it's in your back.
Leaving the conference room I headed to the mess hall. I was hungry and afterward, I could talk to Liara, see how she's settling in. Wonder why her voice changed during the talk and why Ashley was a bit snippy with her. Both were probably just tired.
In the mess hall was everyone from the ground team plus Adams from engineering. They were talking as they ate, I didn't hear any of it though. I was a bit in my own world as I went through the mission in my mind and what we had now. Which was absolutely nothing. Ai had no leads for us and neither did the council. We were blind and in the dark. Something should come about soon but for now we need to head back to the Citadel. Get a new Mako, the lava destroyed the old one.
"Sir. Sir?" snapping out of my haze I looked over to Kaiden.
"Yes?"
"Who's Wynne? Why did you allow him to join us?" Really? He hadn't figured it out, I like to think it wouldn't have taken me long even if he didn't tell me. The guy literally left his calling card at Fist's, and even a message on where to find Tali. Plus, he showed up there.
"Use your brain LT."
"Really sir?" Ashley butted in. You too Ash?! I thought you would know better. Looking at her and then back to Kaiden and then back to the group.
"Who's figured it out?" The other three all raised their hands. "There's your answer."
"Ya know, It's rude to talk about people behind their back."
Speak of the devil and he shall appear. Right behind Ash too startling the hell out of her. He then calmly walked away while Ash stared at him from behind. Wrex and Tali chuckled at the exchange and Garrus just shook his head. Kaiden looked indifferent but it was definitely bothering him. Before anything else could happen Wynne plopped back down next to Tali on the far side and popped off his helmet.
Everyone collectively stared at him, the infamous Torchbearer. Damn near known throughout the galaxy at the moment as a ruthless killer and assassin who had made a name for himself killing that Batarian diplomat. Looking at him now though I didn't see any of that. He was young, 24 or 25 maybe. Short brown hair and green eyes with a small burn mark under his left eye and relatively high cheekbones. But something was off about his appearance.
"Is that? Is that makeup?" Ashley asked, breaking the silence that had enveloped us.
"Yes," he responded, smiling.
"You're wearing makeup? Why?" Garrus asked, looking a bit confused. As were the rest of us.
"Remember when I said I was paranoid," he raised an eyebrow at us. "Only 4 people know my real face, well technically 5."
"Will we ever see your real face?" asked Tali. Our attention on her and then immediately back to him. At that he stared every single one of us down. Like a hawk looking for when best to drop and kill its prey.
"You earn it." and that was the last of it. He started eating his meal from the MRE and stayed silent. We were all a bit weary of him after that but looking into his eyes I knew he wasn't lying and I knew Chakwas hadn't been kidding. When he kills, it is nothing but a chore for him to do.
At that we all began to delve into our own conversations. Wynne and Tali were talking together with Wrex while Garrus, Ash, Kaiden and myself had our own conversations. It wasn't anything special and just normal small talk.
POV: Aeden Wynne (AKA: Torchbearer)
Sitting and talking with Tali and Wrex was nice and enlightening in some cases. Specifically for Wrex and how he talked about the Krogan in general. It was almost fatalistic in their nature he made it seem which made sense. They were destined to a very slow and deliberate death as a species. If there was time in the galaxy for it to happen the Krogan would go extinct in a couple hundred years, maybe even sooner.
It was sad all things considered but right now that wasn't really on my mind. It was the excruciating pain in my ribs. I may have underestimated how hard the blast of the rocket had pushed me into the bars earlier. Covertly touched my side as we talked to check for breaks. I felt one break and several fractures. Yeah, Dr. Chakwas was going to be a little mad.
Politely excusing myself as I finished my meal I went straight for the med bay. Walking in Dr. Chakwas was looking over some reports while Liara was passed out on one of the beds. Looking up from her reports she saw me and sighed.
"How many did you break?" calmly standing from her seat she motioned for me to get on one of the beds. Complying, I laid down on the closest one before answering.
"Only one. But at least 2 more are fractured," huffing she brought over a machine that scanned my ribs and said nothing throughout the whole process, though it lasted only a minute.
"One break, looks clean enough. You have 7 fractures though. Most are minor but still, try not to let this happen again young man," I didn't respond verbally and only nodded my head in acceptance. "I could heal them but we'd have to delay your gene mod integration. Or I could do it in one go. You'll be out for a day and no nicotine or tobacco for a month."
She gave me a pointed look at that and held out her hand. Sighing I gave her the pack but she didn't take her hand away just yet.
"Come now young man. I know you have more."
Sighing again I responded. "The rest are in my backpack."
"I expect all of them here as soon as we're done," her voice brokered no argument.
"Yes ma'am. Anything else I should know about the mods?"
"You'll be on light duty for a couple of days afterward. No combat, running, or anything involving exercise in general."
"Yes ma'am. Can we proceed now?"
"Yes."
With that, she went over to the door to the medbay and hit a couple of buttons on the console next to the door. Once she was done the door lit up red and curtains folded down to surround me. Getting undressed to my underwear I laid back down on the table and waited. A few minutes later Dr. Chakwas came through the curtains with a surgical mask, gown and gloves on and a syringe in hand. Looking to me for confirmation I nodded my head and she inserted the syringe. Everything went dark instantly.
As the darkness faded I awoke underneath the top blanket of the medical bed with my helmet and underwear still on. Yawning, my groggy body slowly started to wake itself up from the anesthetic. Looking around Dr. Chakwas was looking over some records at her desk like usual but other than her no one was here.
"How long have I been out?" I asked, pushing myself up. My voice was hoarse and my throat dry. Looking up from her reports she makes eye contact with me, well the best she can with the helmet.
"Couple hours. Give it a little bit longer for your body to adjust before you start walking."
"Any news on where we're headed Doctor?"
"Citadel."
"Why we headed back there?" before she could answer the door to where Liara was in the game opened up and Shepard stepped out and answered for her.
"Need a new Mako, plus I wanted to check out a few things on the Citadel."
"Like what?"
"Saren wasn't able to purge all of his contacts or equipment. C-Sec impounded some of his stuff and at this point neither Ai or Council intel have nothing for us. Maybe we'll get something out of his stuff," that was a fair assumption. I doubted he would be stupid enough to have anything incriminating but you never know.
"ETA?"
"About two hours. How are you at extracting data from devices?"
"Not the best. If you need me I'll be ready though," nodding at my response he responds.
"Be on standby but when we land you'll be good to move around the Citadel for a couple hours. Make sure you answer when I call though."
"Yes sir." and with that he left.
Laying back down in the bed I sighed and looked at the ceiling letting my thoughts wonder. This was all a bit different than the game and how everything went but you can't expect it to be exactly the same. At least my body didn't hurt after the surgery, just groggy and a little sore. Could have been a lot worse.
That being said the women on the Normandy were all hot. Like seriously, I don't think a single one of them was below a 7. Hell, even the girl who had her head shaved was a solid 8 at the least. All things considered, they were all off limits; for now at least. Never had much luck with women but that could and would definitely change, maybe. Hopeful wishing. I haven't been laid since I got here.
Christ man, get a hold of yourself. No time to head to horny jail, gotta be better. Now, going over everything Noveria we still didn't know about and neither about Feros. We definitely didn't know about Virmire. Wonder how everything will change from now on. My presence has for sure changed things but not too bad at this point. Gotta make sure it stays at least relatively predictable.
I trust myself to be able to adapt to all the changes but the more predictable everything was the better it would be to make the best changes for the best chance for everyone. This shit is complicated. Galaxy wide craziness and conspiracies and even then I definitely don't know everything. Wasn't a completionist in the games, just enjoyed them while playing; being here now I wish I had been.
Pushing myself out of the bed I grabbed my clothes and got dressed before leaving and going to the cargo hold. Getting there I made my way to my locker before opening it and grabbing my packs from my backpack. Leaving back to the med bay and stepping in Dr. Chakwas looked at me expectantly. Putting the packs on the table she looked at me and nodded before grabbing them and putting them in a drawer.
"They'll be waiting for you in a month when it's all said and done."
"Thank you ma'am."
Leaving the room and going back to my locker in the cargo hold I picked up my weapons and decided to clean them. It was menial work, as usual, but it passed the time and in what felt like only minutes later Joker's voice came over the comm.
"Approaching the Citadel. 2 minutes to dock."
Nodding to no one in particular I put my guns back together quickly, putting away the AR but strapping the pistol to my leg and putting my backpack on. The airlock being my next destination I left the cargo hold and made it to the airlock just in time for the first decontamination. It didn't take all that long and most everyone in there with me were unknown Normandy Crew members. All of which were eyeing me rather suspiciously.
Still, the decontamination itself didn't last long but if you don't get the first one it has a hard reset of 2 minutes before decontamination can happen again. Normally that doesn't happen but since the Normandy runs the decontamination suite off subservient power it's a lot slower and takes longer to recharge.
Once it had finished though everyone piled out with me being the last one. All the crew members rushing off to go get supplies and I pointedly looked at the requisitions guy who was the second to last one out. As my armor hadn't shown up after Therum and it happened they hadn't even left the Citadel. I was not happy with him and he knew it and was scared. Which meant future discounts if played right.
He hurriedly speed walked away from me going to the elevator but he wasn't fast enough. We were in the elevator together down to C-Sec and he made the conscious effort not to acknowledge me. I simply stared at him through my mask making it obvious my eyes were on him. He was extremely uncomfortable.
"I expect a discount."
"Y-y-yes. 20%?" he said in a hopeful manner. I loved being intimidating.
"Acceptable." As soon as the elevator opened its door he was out of it and gone into the crowd.
That was enjoyable
"You enjoy violence?" I asked Sam as I went over to the Kiosk and ordered a Cab for the Lower Wards.
I enjoy power and my Pilots always have power.
"That… yeah that checks out."
Just then the Cab arrived and I clambered in. It was an automated cab so nothing needed to be said before it took off towards the Lower Wards. It was only about 5 minutes of travel time before it got me there.
Stepping out of the cab and immediately making my way to one of the darkened alleys I made my way to Frank's Shop. It took about a half hour since the cab skipped most of the journey for me. Looking at the shop it was nice to see it again, after only really being gone for a couple of days. It was surprisingly homey.
Stepping inside Frank's eyes snapped up to meet mine only stopped by the glass of the helmet. Something that was quickly removed and I flashed him a smile, which he returned.
"That was a quick turnaround. You miss me already?"
"Fuck no old man. I missed your alcohol," he barked out some laughter before bending down under the table and grabbing something before tossing it back to me. It was a bottle of Therrice Ice Brandy; he definitely stole this. I didn't say that though as I put it in my backpack.
"Thanks Frank. So, anything happen in the 2.. 3? Days I've been out."
"No. Though… you got gene mods didn't you?"
"How in god's name did you see that?"
"Body's a bit stiffer than usual and your arms are barely moving when you walk. You usually had more sway in them."
"Broke a rib and fractured a couple too. Got it all patched up with the doctor," he nodded at that taking another sip of his coffee, probably Irish Coffee.
"Who's the doc?"
"An old friend," he looked at me confused for a second before his eyes lit up.
"Karin?" my smile was all the confirmation he needed. "How's the old bat doing? I haven't seen her in almost a year."
"She's good as far as I can tell. Don't know her well enough to say anything more," shrugging my shoulders he nodded smiling at that.
"Bring her that bottle then and you'll become her best friend. She can't get enough of it," he gave a slight chuckle at that.
"I will. You know where Volio or Cello are? I didn't get to say goodbye last time around."
"Volio should be at Chora's den about now," Oh yeah, forgot that Volio does bartending during the weekdays. "As for Ceelo, you should check his apartment. Down the street on the left, 2nd floor, third door on the right."
"Thanks Frank. I think I'll get going then, Don't know how much longer I got until Shepard will call me in."
"You just got your genemods, you can't do anything right now besides walk," his voice had a mix of protectiveness and unease.
"Yeah, but C-Sec impounded some of Saren's stuff and we know where his apartment is. He wants me to see if I can hack any of it," he nodded at that.
"Well, Ceelo should be able to help you there. He'd probably help," he said nodding. "Well, go along now. Better not be a stranger Aedon," with a smile he shooed me out the door.
Leaving the store I made my way to where Ceelo's apartment was. Being in the shitty part of the Lower Wards it needed someone to buzz you in but the security was trash. I hacked it and it opened quickly. Going through the door making my way to the door that was his before politely knocking.
Ceelo opened the door almost immediately after removing my hand and just stared at me before punching me in the chest. Right in the solar plexus too, it hurt, mostly from the surprise. Not bad enough to knock the wind out of me but enough to make me gasp.
"That is for leaving without saying goodbye. Now, how are you boy?" he asked with a slight smile behind his mask.
"I'm good, helped save a Matriarchs daughter -" he cut me off before I could continue
"But there's more to come huh?" I nodded at that. "Saren?" again I nodded. "Knew he was a prick but Eden Prim and Geth. That's surprising."
"We believe there's something more going on."
"The so-called Reapers that Shepard fellow talked about?"
"Yeah. Don't know what to make of them or Shepard yet to be honest."
"You trust Shepard though I assume?"
"Not completely but yeah. He's not someone who will make things up for attention," Ceelo hummed at that apparently deep in thought and as we stood there awkwardly my omni-tool beeped. Ceelo looked at my omni-tool and me looking at it before moving his hands quickly over his.
"Ah, he wants you to meet him at Saren's old place to check things out with him."
"You know I hate it how you can do that so easily."
"Boy, you're smart and a good student but you have oh so much to learn," he was so fucking smug. What an asshole but he was right, as usual. "Let me come along."
"I don't think he-"
"Nonsense, I'm coming. Besides, you always sucked at extracting data" he was already moving towards the kiosk to call a cab. Sighing I just followed him, you could never stop Ceelo; the annoying asshat.
He called the cab and we waited about a second before one pulled up. Ceelo had probably called it or hacked it before he even got to the kiosk but faked going there just to keep up appearances. Old man always liked doing shit like that.
Getting into the cab it took us to the upper wards near the Presidium right next to Saren's apartment complex. Going inside we were greeted by the front desk asking if we were here to visit anyone in particular. Before I even got a word out there was a ping at her monitor and she looked at it before waving us to the elevator. Getting inside there were no buttons and it simply closed its doors before moving.
Now, this elevator was a fucking elevator. It shot upwards all the way to the top. Before promptly opening and in front of us was Shepard, Liara, Tali and Williams. They were expecting me but didn't expect Ceelo. Shepard, Liara and Williams looked curious but cautious. Tali on the other hand just pulled her shotgun and pointed it at Ceelo.
"Ceelo'Nos," she sneered out. "What the fuck are you doing here?"
Ceelo for his part, didn't look fazed at all with his hands behind his back. I knew he was doing something but decided to just do nothing. My curiosity had peaked.
"Tali'Zorah nar Rayya."
He spoke calmly before Tali's gun started to visibly overhead and she had to drop it to the gun with a gasp before going for her pistol which too had already overheated, as did every other gun in the room besides mine and Ceelo's. Even Liara and Shepard looked confused as they tried to summon their biotics only for them not to answer, I could tell they were trying from the concentration on their faces.
"You're a prodigy girlie," he said, walking forward and tapping her on the shoulder with his hand before walking past her. "But you are but an infant compared to me in this arena."
"Who are you?" Shepard asked, stepping up to Ceelo; Shepard towered over him but Ceelo wasn't fazed at all.
"Ceelo'Nos. I trained the boy in tech," he gestured to me. "And as I know it you're looking for someone to extract data." as usual in his smug voice. Shepard looked at me before looking back at Ceelo.
"We can use the help."
"Shepard no! He's a killer, he-" that's as far she got. I've seen Ceelo frustrated, confused, pissed but never angry. He was angry now.
"Girl, you have no idea what you're talking about. I'm sure you've heard the story but have you ever actually looked at it. Why it happened, why I did what I did?" she was about to respond but he interrupted her again. "I know what you'll say and let me tell you this. Your father made the right choice but the admirals didn't. I hope you never have to see or feel what I did but on the premise of being civil. Be. Fucking. Quiet." even I was a little taken aback at his tone.
"Now, Commander Shepard," he spoke regaining his composer and looking back to Shepard. "Would you like my help?" Shepard was silent for a couple of seconds before responding.
"You extract what you can from everything in this room and then we're done."
"Splendid," and then Ceelo was off straight to one of Saren's rooms. Everyone then looked at me. I shrugged.
"He's a great teacher. Bit of an ass though."
Shepard just sighed and went off to one of the other rooms with Liara hot on his heels. Williams eyes bore into my mask but I didn't care; she never trusted me but she will eventually. Tali on the other hand looked at me accusatively, she definitely wanted an explanation but I wanted my secrets. Everyone was entitled to their own.
"Why him?" she asked simply after what felt like an eternity.
"He's the best," I shrugged. She wasn't particularly pleased with that answer but I was done talking. I had spotted something.
Now, when I entered the apartment one thing was abundantly clear. This place was devoid of any type of color or personality. Grey walls, grey furniture and even the lights in here made it seem even more grey. There was nothing in this place that would have helped us with his personality except for one thing. In the far back of the room there was a singular picture frame with a watercolor painting inside it.
This painting was beautiful and sad at the same time. Bright colors adorned the entire thing in a beautiful meld or light and happiness. The picture itself wasn't.
In it sat a lone park bench with obvious signs of degradation. The colors arounds its legs bleeding out as the center of the park bench was turning grey. Around the park bench rain was coming down beating down on the bench flushing out the color even more as it was all slowly making the bench grey.
I didn't really know what to make of the painting besides the fact that to me it was hauntingly beautiful. Grabbing it on its side and lifting it off the wall I tucked it under my arm. This was coming with me.
Turning around Ceelo and Shepard were looking at me with raised eyebrows. Shrugging, I responded.
"I like it," I said as I put it into my backpack. That's all that needed to be said anyways.
"Fair enough boy. It is unique," Ceelo said before looking at Shepard. "I wasn't able to get any information for you, he purged his system quite efficiently but I got a back door into his accounts. Here is it's access," he handed Shepard a little OSD drive.
"Thank you Ceelo. Your services are no longer needed," Ceelo nodded at that before turning back to me.
"Don't be a stranger boy. I'm working on something for ya." and with that he left.
Once he was out the door Shepard whirled on me far quicker than I thought possible and focused his eyes on me. He was beyond angry at the moment I had an inkling it had to do with Ceelo being here. Jerking his head to the room Ceelo had come from I followed him and he let me go in first, closing the door behind him.
"Let me make something abundantly clear Wynne. I am your fucking leader here on this mission. What I say goes and there is no room for interpretation. None. You react and make adjustments on the fly in the field and that is perfectly fine with me. It works and helps out there but if you ever bring an unknown to us without discussing it with me first I will treat it as a threat. Do I make myself clear merc?" he sneered out the merc part but I did fully understand what he was getting at. Even if it did annoy me.
"Yes sir."
"Good. Let's go." and we left the room to join the others.
We didn't stay there much longer and we left as a group when we did. All five of us piled into the elevator and a couple minutes later we were already on our way back to the docks. It was only a short walk from the complex so there was no point in paying for a taxi. However, we never got that far. Shepard spotted the consort chambers and decided to visit; apparently he had gotten an email to visit.
We were quietly told that the Consort wouldn't be able to see us and made our way to leave, much to Liara and Ashley's glee. It didn't last long though as we were about five steps away when the secretary called out to us saying that Sha'ira would like to see us. Knowing this mission and the fact I was on for the ride, why not she was pretty influential.
The talk she had with us at the beginning was, per usual, pretty damn close to what was said in the game but with a little bit more flavor this time around. It was rather obvious to everyone in the room that Sha'ira was eyeing Shepard up. Somehow though, Shepard either didn't pick up on it or just wasn't interested. Liara and Williams looked almost murderous at Sha'ira but as soon as Shepard looked at them they hid it. I chuckled a bit at that which in turn earned a glare from both.
Either way, she sent us on our merry way to talk to the general at Chora's Den. Which was actually perfect for me, Volio was there. As soon as we entered I made a beeline for the bar seeing Volio with his back turned to me. Leaning over the bar I tapped him on the shoulder and he whirled around with a hand on his knife before recognizing the helmet.
"Ha! Good of you to show yourself kid," he had the equivalent of Turian smile on.
"How ya doin?" I asked, extending a hand to which he clasped.
"Good. Expect to get a bit better too but just good for now. Got something for you by the way."
"You got it here?"
"No, what's your dock number and your alias and I'll have it delivered within the hour."
"Dock D32 and its my name actually. Aedon Wynn."
"You're really committed huh," I just nodded my head. "I understand kid. Be safe and don't be a stranger. You're groups about to leave you," he said pointing behind me.
Seeing he was right I cursed before waving goodbye to him and going after them. They probably assumed I had just ditched them, which was kind of true anyways. Running after them I got in their cab just before it closed and left. I didn't bother saying anything and neither did they.
Rude.
We went to the embassies and talked to the Elcor diplomat. It took Shepard all of about a minute to convince the Elcor to stop his campaign against Sha'ira. Once that was done we made our way back to Sha'ira and gave her all the good news. I wasn't paying attention to her until she started talking about the gift of words. I was curious about what she would say about Shepard.
"I see your skin, as resilient and strong as any Krogan. A shield to protect all those around you, making you the vanguard of their protection; making you stronger than all. It is what haunts you when you fail in your protection but it is also what will always keep you alive. This may be who you are but it is not who you will become. Remember these words as they will be the base of what you become. Remember them when doubt descends upon you."
"Uhhh. Thanks I guess," Shepard said, rubbing the back of his neck. "Anything else?"
"You're also surprisingly oblivious."
For a solid couple seconds no one said anything but Shepard turned towards us in a way that said: 'what does she mean by that'. As soon as I saw that I couldn't help myself. I was laughing so hard I was starting to wheeze and eventually keeled over flopping onto the ground as I continued to laugh.
Catching glimpses of the others, Tali was in much the same predicament as me but she was keeping it under control. Williams and Liara were interested in anything that wasn't Shepard or myself. Shepard just looked like a lost puppy, confused beyond measure. As for Sha'ira she just looked amused.
I did finally come down and when I did I pushed myself up off the ground.
"Sorry about that. It was needed."
"You're fine young man. Would you like me to do you next?"
"I'm f-"
"He'd love that," said Williams as she pushed me forward. Vindication I guess.
Stepping towards me Sha'ira looked at me for a second before motioning to my helmet. Seeing as I had my makeup on already I guessed it couldn't hurt. Consorts were legendary for being discreet anyways, only thing that wasn't changed at the moment for my face was my eyes. She looked into my eyes for a couple seconds before talking.
"The silent death. The mist that protects the helpless and scares the predators. But solitary and alone in life with no light to call your own. Paranoid and slow to trust it protects you from the hurt you've felt in the past but you have to open the door or it will kill you faster than your profession. You try so hard to protect those around you and the helpless but you never look to help yourself."
I don't know what to feel about that. The first bit made me feel proud, a protector she called me; that was nice to hear. The rest was stuff I already knew about myself but to hear it coming from someone that wasn't me made it feel weird. Still, she wasn't wrong and I should really try to work on that. Give more people the benefit of the doubt instead of never trusting, something to work on.
"They are what you are but not what you can become."
I'm detecting an elevated heart rate and something I'm not familiar with. Are you okay Pilot?
"Yeah, I'm fine Sam. All good. Let me respond to them."
Okay Pilot.
"Thank you ma'am. That was… enlightening."
"You're welcome young man. It is not every day I get to see individuals as powerful as you two."
With that she motioned for us to leave. We did so making our way to The Normandy. Shepard, Liara, Williams and Tali all talked amongst themselves but they left me alone. Once we got back to The Normandy I made my way to the workbench and took my AR out and just started taking it apart and putting it back together. Over and over again, it was theraputic and got me thinking about everything that Shiala said. I can be better.
"You good Wynne?" I gave a little start at the words not expecting them," looking to my left Shepard was there. He looked mildly interested and curious but there was a hint of concern in his face.
"I'm fine sir. Just thinking."
"Okay, just know that you are a part of this team and under my command. You need anything, even if it's just to talk I'll be available," I blankly stared at him trying to discern if he was screwing with me or not. Shaking my head free of that paranoia I nodded at him.
"Thanks Shepard."
*POV: Miranda Lawson*
"We've acquired the target sir. Orders?"
"Capture. I'll relay where to drop him off later."
Nodding my head I cut the connection and looked back at the monitor. On it was Ceelo'Nos. Quarian, smart and had a legendary reputation in the tech community. Not exactly sure why The Illusive Man wanted him but it was probably about the Torchbearer. Wasn't my place to ask.
"All teams go. Capture the target alive."
