Lael had never been hit that hard in his life; it took all his willpower just to stay conscious. However, the major threat was now he was directly over the sea.

'At this rate, I'm going to pass out,' he winced. 'If I fall into the sea, it's all over.'

Fortunately for him, and Navy ship was close by, and he landed on the deck. He skidded across the wooden planks until he finally came to a stop, scaring the Marines.

Hiccup frowned, he had hoped that Lael would land into the sea and that would be the end of it, but no such luck.

The Marines on the battleship were rather startled; they were still unsure what had just happened.

"What the heck is going on?"

"Hurry up and help the injured!"

The Marines immediately surrounded Lael, not sure whether he was friend or foe.

"Who are you?"

"A monster?"

"No, he's a power holder!"

Lael was panting heavily. 'So I landed on the deck of a battleship. That was close.'

"He came from the direction of the bridge."

"Is he a pirate?"

"What happened to the column?"

Down below, Toothless and his group were still running down the passageway as Snotlout yelled at them.

"Come on, guys!" Snotlout yelled to try to keep up with them. "Listen to me! We've got to stop! We're running straight our deaths; that water is going to hit us head-on! Can't you hear it? It's getting closer!"

"Even if there was water and this place was going to flood, turning around at this point wouldn't do us much good, would it?" Ragnar pointed out.

"Can't you hear it, Toothless?" Snotlout asked, looking at him.

"Yeah, I think you're right," Toothless admitted. "I've got a bad feeling about this."

"Then stop already!"

"There's no other way to go; we've got to keep moving matter what!" Ragnar snapped.

They then saw Astrid and her group running towards them, with a tight away on their heels.

"I knew it," Snotlout groaned.

"It's Astrid and Fishlegs; they're with that weird little old lady," Toothless noted.

Chimney was the first to spot them. "Hey, check out the pirate guys are here too!"

"Don't just stand there something about this water!" Fishlegs yelled.

"I'm open to suggestions," said Toothless.

"I told you!" Snotlout yelled. "Why wouldn't you listen to me?" He then quickly looked at Toothless. "Can't you cut our way out of this?"

"Are you crazy?" Toothless stared. "If I do that, even more water would be flooding in here."

"Not that you could even if you tried," said Ragnar. "These walls were designed to withstand water pressure; there's no way you'll be able to cut through them even if we have the time."

"You mean there's nowhere to escape," Snotlout whimpered.

The moment that Astrid and her group reached in, the water consumed them, and they found themselves being tracked down the covenant.

At the same time, the Marines on the main island were running frantically to the other side to stay ahead of the cannon fire.

"We're all going to die if we stay here! Run for it!"

"It's no use; the sea train won't start!"

"Quick, get an engineer!"

"They're going to hit us any minute now, hurry!"

The scarred Vice-Admiral watched as the battleships continued to rain cannon fire onto the island.

"Vice-Admiral Doberman, should we proceed in capturing Heather Owson on the Bridge of Hesitation?" a Marine captain asked.

"No, leave her," he said.

"But sir?"

"Someone else has been assigned her escort, and so long as he is here, we need not interfere. We would only get in his way. Our job is to burn everything except the Bridge of Hesitation."

"Right," the captain saluted. "But sir… the man you were just speaking of… it's Lael Robson of CP9, isn't it?"

Lael was now getting back onto his feet and quickly reverted back to his human form. Hiccup's last attack definitely dealt a heavy blow, and it was only pure luck that he managed to survive. He had to be extremely careful as now that was two times he was caught by surprise.

The Marines on board, still unaware of his identity, continue to aim their rifles at him.

"He has a power holder!"

"Identify yourself, immediately!"

Lael ignored them and began to walk.

"If you don't answer us, we're going to open fire!"

"Stop it, damn fool!" the Marine captain yelled.

"Captain?"

"Lower your weapons, now! Don't you realise we're pointing those guns at? Take a look… that Lael Robson of CP9."

All the Marines then turned towards Lael, who had just removed his shirt, and fear immediately consumed them.

"It is him!"

"Sir, I'm sorry!"

"Please, just for my life!"

"Stop your whining, your annoying me," he said, narrowing his eyes.

The Marines immediately cover their mouths.

Back on Doberman's flagship, the Marine captain approached him.

"It seems like everywhere I turn, people are buzzing about this Lael Robson," he said. "Is he really that strong, as people say?"

"There was an instant 15 years ago, in a foreign kingdom 500 soldiers had been captured by a band of pirates," said Doberman.

15 years ago, pirates were running amok in the said kingdom. Immediately the military began engaging the pirates, and so far, it was an even match.

"Don't hold back; this is our big chance!"

"Butcher anyone who tries to resist! Show no mercy!"

"Don't give up!" said a soldier. "Protect this city from pirates or die trying!"

'The soldiers of the kingdom held strong against the tropes of pirates until they brought out a surprise weapon,' said Doberman.

The soldiers then heard an explosion and saw the flag hanging from the top of the powers had been destroyed.

"Dammit, what now?" said a soldier.

Then suddenly, multiple blasts from cannons had been fired and began to decimate the soldiers. These were not regular cannons; they were actually trench mortars.

"They've got trench mortars?" said a wounded soldier.

The pirate captain laughed. "This battle is over! If you don't want to die, then drop your weapons right now and don't move another inch. You had better think fast because if you don't comply, we'll blow you to bits."

The majority of the soldiers could see no hope and dropped their weapons.

"Take them as hostages, boys," said the pirate captain. "Fine warehouse and lock them up."

'And then it got worse,' said Doberman. 'The pirate captain demanded the throne in exchange for the hostage's lives.'

As he contemplated this ultimatum, the king found himself in a very difficult position; his advisers were strongly against the deal.

"Please, your Majesty, for the sake of our citizens, you must not give in to these absurd demands."

"I agree, sir. We still have the power of our reserve troops, as well as the Imperial guards. Even now, it's not too late to defeat these ruthless pirates."

"Please, sir," they begged.

"Yes, but what of the hostages?" said the king. "They not my citizens as well who risked their lives in order to protect me? Am I simply too turn away and let them die?"

"No, but…"

"Even if the throne is taken away from me, it could still be possible to take it back, but those soldiers lives will be lost forever."

"Even so…"

"…you're right, but you're basing this on the assumption that the pirates will keep their word. More likely than not, they'll murder the hostages regardless of what we do."

The king was not sure what to do; you could disagree that his advisers were right with that assessment. On the other hand, he couldn't take the risk of letting those soldiers die. At least giving up the crown gave them a chance to live.

"Your Majesty!" a voice yelled, and seconds later, a servant burst into the throne room. "Good news, an emissary from the World Government, has just arrived to lend us up to their aid."

The king and his advisers smiled with relief.

"Is that so," the king joyously. "Then we may be saved yet. Well, why don't you show him in now."

"Right," said the servant, but then passing him was a young boy of 13 wearing a black suit.

'Their hands tied, prepared to surrender, the kingdom was on the verge of collapse,' said Doberman. 'And yet all the World Government had sent was a single boy.'

The king looked upon the boy perplexed. 'A child?'

'The World Government is mocking us.'

'Is this a game to them?'

The boy then stopped in front of them, and he looked at them with a look devoid of emotion.

"Where is the prey?" he asked.

"The prey?" the king frowned. "I assume you're referring to the pirates. They have occupied the western harbour and made it their base."

"I see. Good, don't mobilise any more troops and leave the rest to me."

He then turned around and began to walk out.

"Wait! Please, whatever you do, don't put the hostages lives in danger," the king pleaded.

The boy stopped and looked back at him. "I would try to boss the World Government around if I were you."

The king actually felt her fight the moment he looked at the boy's eyes. 'Why am I so intimidated? He's just a boy?'

The boy then walked off without saying another word.

"What are they planning?" said the king as he sat down on his throne.

The pirates were practically celebrating at the western harbour, believing that the country was good as theirs.

"Nice work out there, men, drink to your heart's content," said the pirate captain. "The kingdom is a good as ours!"

The pirates then began drinking merrily.

"Hoarding a country is a pretty good heist."

"No kidding."

"What are we going to do with that big castle?"

"It goes the boss, of course."

"He ain't the boss anymore; he's the king."

"You're right!"

"We're running out of booze over here. It's killing the mood!"

"Then stop complaining and going get some more!"

"Now that is the taste of victory," said the pirate captain after drinking down some ale.

"You there," said a voice. Everyone stopped what they were doing and saw a boy standing on the deck. "I have a message to give to your captain."

"Who the hell are you?" the pirate captain asked.

"I'm a representative from the World Government; I have come here to rescue," said the boy.

The pirate captain and burst into laughter. "You'll arrest me? By yourself? With what, a water gun?"

The pirates laughed, making sure that they showed the boy all their weapons.

"The Government must be hard up for ages these days, huh?" said the pirate captain. "I've got to admit, kiddo, that's a pretty good joke. But this is our party, so if you want to play Government agent, then piss off and do it somewhere else. You got that? I'm about to be king; kings don't have time for this crap."

The boy then slowly began making his way towards him, and two of his men immediately placed themselves in front of them, drawing their blades.

"Stop right there."

"Now, don't make me hurt you."

"You're in my way," said the boy. "Move it."

"You asked for it, boy!"

The two pirates then swung their blades down towards him.

"Iron Body!" said the boy.

The moment the pirates' blade struck him, they shattered into pieces, surprising everyone.

"What the hell was that?"

"This kid ain't normal, is he?"

"Very impressive," said the pirate captain. "You're not just talk after all, but even if you are tougher than you look, it doesn't change the situation. If you bust out another one of your parlour tricks, I can't guarantee the safety of the hostages."

The pirate immediately drew their rifles, pointing them directly at his head.

"And speaking of which, you'll make a fine hostage yourself," said the pirate captain. "Perhaps we'll make demands on the World Government as well. Back to the celebration, men, this is our lucky day. Throw the brat in with the rest of the prisoners."

He was so cocky that he failed to notice the smile on the boy's face.

The pirates did what they were told and distorted the boy to the warehouse, where they were keeping all the hostages.

"Keep moving," said a pirate forcing him inside. "Don't worry, you got plenty of friends to keep you company."

The prisoners were rather surprised to see the boy.

"What? Why did you bring a boy here?" one of the soldiers asked.

"Because he's an emissary from the World Government," the pirate explained.

"He said as he came here to rescue you."

"Little coward didn't put up much of a fight, though. He should get along just fine with the rest of you losers. Got to admit I was expecting a lot of a fight out of the World Government."

The warehouse doors closed, and all the soldiers looked upon the boy, who hadn't said a word.

"Let me verify something," he said, looking at them all.

"What is it?" one of the soldiers asked.

"Are these all the hostages that the pirates captured?"

"Yeah."

"Excellent," he smiled. "Shave!"

He then moved with blinding speed and pierced one of the soldiers with his finger, killing him instantly. He then promptly began attacking all the other soldiers with deadly force, killing them without mercy until all of them were dead.

"After the pirates had conveniently escorted him to the holding cell, he killed all 500 of the hostages without a second thought," said Doberman.

The Marine captain was completely stunned and horrified. "He killed them? That's insane! Surely the Government didn't order that. Even if he did have the authority, even if it was the name of justice…" Doberman turned towards him with a stern look, and the captain stood straight. "Forgive me, sir."

"Justice isn't always pretty; it isn't always kind; I suggest you remember that."

"Yes, sir!" said the Marine saluting.

"Losing their hostages throw the pirates into a rage," Doberman continued. "They rained fire upon the boy still standing on a pile of corpses, but he did not waver no matter how violently they attacked. And soon, he took the head of their captain, bringing an end to the incident all by himself."

A pirate was rushing towards the pirate ship to inform the captain of what had happened with the hostages.

"Boss, bad news!" he yelled frantically. "Bad news, boss!"

"Enough already," said the captain. "What's wrong?"

"It's terrible," said the pirate. "That Government kid… is killing everyone."

The captain immediately stood up in shock. "Absurd!"

He and the rest of the crew then investigated and found the boy standing upon the corpses of all 500 hostages, with his back towards them.

"What the hell?" the pirate captain stared. "Little bastard… I thought you came here to save them."

"To save a bunch of criminals?" said the boy looking confused. "Why? I did in the name of justice?"

"Their criminals?" said the pirate captain confused.

"For those that swear to protect peace, weakness is nothing short of a crime. They surrendered to the enemy and brought chaos to the very kingdom they served. A cowardly soldier doesn't deserve to live, so I killed them."

"That's sick," said the pirate captain. "And the World Government condones this?"

"Yes, because justice never submits to evil."

"That's enough!" the pirate captain roared. "Take him out!"

The pirates immediately began aiming the trench mortar at the boy and fired. The cannonball was heading dead on his back on the pirates were confident that his body had been burnt to ash.

"Serves you right, brat," the pirate captain spat. "Can't play us for fools. Dammit, guess we have to cook up with another plan." However, to his surprise, he could still see the boy standing there. "There's no way he could survive that!"

Sadly, he did, though not completely unscathed. His shirt had been burnt to cinders, and now they were deep scars on his back that resembled that of the Government flag.

The boy then turned his head towards him. "Shave!" He then vanished on. A second later appeared in front of the pirate captain, grasping his head. "Finger Pistol!"

He then plunged his finger into the pirate captain multiple times and was so fast that his hand was nothing but a blur. When he released the pirate captain, he fell to the ground and was dead, causing the other pirates to panic.

"He killed him!"

"H-he's a monster! Runaway!"

The pirates then promptly ran as quickly as they could.

"That boy, whose back was covered in scars from the cannons, became a CP9 intelligent agent at the age of 13," said Doberman. "Dawned on a mantle of dark justice, he is the strongest and most ruthless killing machine in the history of the organisation."

"To think that he was actually capable of that when he was only a child," said the pirate captain, astonished.

"Now you understand; that's why I told you he can handle this mission without our help."

Hiccup then launched himself on the column and headed towards the battleship.

"What is it this time," said a Marine as they saw him heading towards them.

"Is that dragon?"

"No, you idiot, that's Dragon Conqueror Hiccup!"

"He looks terrifying."

"There you are," said Hiccup spotting Lael on the deck.

"Shoot him down!"

The Marines fired their rifles at Hiccup, but their bullets merely bounced off his scales.

"Didn't feel a thing," said Hiccup and opened his mouth wide. "Plasma Laser!"

He then fired a powerful beam from his mouth straight down of the ship, practically cutting it in half. The Marines were completely surprised, causing some of them to fall into the sea while others grabbed hold of what remained of the ship.

Sadly, Lael was able to avoid the attack by jumping onto the masts and then launching a Tempest Kick at Hiccup. Hiccup was able to move out of the way before it made contact, and Lael then launched himself at Hiccup, transforming into his animal form.

He landed on him and plunged his teeth into his shoulder, but his fangs weren't able to puncture his scales.

"Let me show you what a real fight can do," said Hiccup opening his mouth.

Lael quickly jumped free from Hiccup, avoiding his fight and reverted back to human form when you land on the masts.

"Titan Wing Blast!" Hiccup roared, spreading his wings.

Lael quickly jumped out of the way to avoid Hiccup's attack. Hiccup's Wing blast was strong enough to tear the masts apart, which was rather distressing to the Marines on the deck.

"Whoa, watch out!"

"He's top of the masts!"

"Run for it!"

"These guys are crazy! They're wrecking everything!"

Lael then reappeared, now in his hybrid form. "Finger Pistol: Sting!"

Lael quickly thrust his finger at Hiccup, launching a projectile that moved so fast he was unable to avoid it and pierced right through his shoulder. He then suddenly appeared directly behind Hiccup while he was still reeling from the attack.

"Seems like this new power of yours comes at the cost of your speed," Lael noted.

He then kicked Hiccup so hard he sent him crashing down onto the deck of the ship.

"Tempest Kick: Victory Burn!" Lael yelled, launching his slashing attack.

Hiccup watched as the attacks sliced through the mainmast and headed towards him like a bird. He was able to roll out of the way in time, and the attack cut through what remained of the ship, even the iron plating, causing the Marines to be even more distressed.

"That plating was made of solid iron."

"The ship is not going to last, guys."

"That was close," said Hiccup picking himself up. "He almost put me in two."

Lael was hovering directly above him, smiling.

Spandam could see everything from the Bridge of hesitation began to laugh.

"Do you see that, Eric Earlson?" he said, looking at Eret and the others. "It's all over for you and your friends. Or rather, it was over from the start."

"What do you know," Eret glared. "They're just getting started."

"Oh, come on, stop being a sore loser," said Spandam. "Lael is the strongest man in the history of CP9. It doesn't matter how well you did against the other guys; you're dealing with a real monster now! And once he's done with your dragon friend, you're next."

"Hiccup, won't lose," said Ruffnut.

"Yeah, he always pulled through no matter the odds," Tuffnut nodded.

Eret turned his eyes to the battleship. 'I'm counting on you, Dragon.'

On one of the battleships, a very stern-looking Vice-Admiral named Gorg approached his men.

"Quite the ruckus we have over here," he said. "Care to give me a report?"

"Yes, Vice-Admiral, sir!" a Marine saluted. "It would seem as if Dragon Conqueror Hiccup and Lael Robson of CP9 are battling on battleship number four and causing tremendous collateral damage."

"A little more fire won't kill Lael," said Gorg and pulled out a transponder snail. "Attention Marines, I want all gunners to a midship number four. Prepared to fire cannons immediately!"

"What?" said a Marine horrified. "Surely there's another way, sir. We have 1,000 men on that ship."

Gorg then pulled out a pistol and shot the Marine without hesitation, much to the shock and horror of the other Marines.

"If we allow a criminal to escape now, the damage could be irreparable," said Gorg bluntly. "This is no time for sentimentality."

With that, all the gunners on nearby battleships began pointing the cannons directly at ship number four.

"Now fire!" Gorg ordered.

The Marines then fired all the cannons.
