Hey guys, sorry for the later update, I lost track of time. Anyway, hope you enjoy.
Chapter 9
Saturday, November 15, 2031
The day of the Gryffindor-Slytherin Quidditch match had arrived and predictably, I felt like crap. I woke up with a headache, which was never a great way to start the day.
In the shower, I did my best to dial down my senses, as Lupin had taught me, but there was only so much I could do. Afterwards, Anica and I met in the Common Room, where our housemates were already cheering us on.
Wyrene had written the letter to Mum and Dad, and while they reluctantly agreed to buy her a new broom, she wasn't ready to use it yet. Instead, she was using Viper's (the Quidditch obsessed match commentator in her year) broom, which she had been practising on for the past week. It wasn't ideal, but it was the best she could do.
All around us, people were cheering us on and making bets on the game, but all I could focus on was keeping my senses at bay. When we finally escaped the Common Room it was a relief to be in the silence of the hallways. Of course, that could only last so long.
The seven of us on the team lined up in front of the doors to the Great Hall, and on Tatum's instruction, her friends Bronte and Riley opened the doors, and the Hall erupted in cheers and screams.
Despite my raging headache, I managed a genuine smile at the school's anticipation of the game.
Although our rivalries weren't so present in the hallways, when it came to Quidditch, it was each House for themselves. Of course, for the matches, different loyalties emerged in the houses not playing, but for the most part, it was two sides. Most of Ravenclaw was Slytherin supporters while Hufflepuffs tended to take Gryffindor's side.
A few minutes later the Gryffindor team arrived and the Hall once again erupted in cheers. Of course, the entirety of Slytherin booed them, but that was to be expected.
Breakfast went by quickly, and before we knew it, it was time to head down to the pitch. Xinia and Ciena found us just before we left and wished us good luck, and then we were off.
The Gryffindor team joined us as we made our way down, and we probably made enough noise to disturb the entire school if we had been inside. Owen, Nick, Dylan and George walked in between Anica and me, and the whole time we were sending insults back and forth, making bets, trying to trip the others and general friendly hostilities were exchanged.
Wyrene was trying to secretly sabotage Xander and Xandler, but Tatum noticed and told her off. Liam was trailing along beside them, occasionally joining in on the jokes and pranks.
In front of us, Priya was surrounded by Tatum, Gerry and Michael, who were considerably more reigned in than us. Although the occasional insult or prank was tossed around, they mostly just chatted as we walked.
When we reached the pitch we went our separate ways and began to warm up and get ready for the game.
We ran through a few exercises and whatnot until there were ten minutes left till take off. Tatum gathered us around for the pep talk, so we settled down and listened.
"Now, this is the first game of the year, so the school is going to be crazy," she begins. "However, that also means it's Gryffindor's first game with their new Beaters. We can use this to our advantage because we've been working together longer as a team. Now Anica and Gena, do not go easy on them just because they're new, alright?"
Anica and I nod firmly.
"Believe us, that is not even a concern for us," Anica says and I agree.
"Great," Tatum says. "Now, remember what we've been practising, stick to the plan, and we'll be fine. Got it?"
"Aye aye, Captain!" Wyrene mock salutes and Tatum half-heartedly glares at her.
The rest of us chuckle lightly, and then we break the circle to do our last-minute preparations. I tighten the straps on my gear, swing my bat a few times, and then grab my broom.
As we walk out of the room and wait to be called on to the pitch, Anica warns me to take it easy.
"No breaking your arm or falling unconscious this time, okay?" she tells me sternly. "Let me take the lead."
I sigh but nod. We had discussed what would happen, and I had reluctantly agreed to let her take the lead this game while I lay off a bit. As much as I hated it, I knew what had happened the last time I played like this, and I didn't want a repeat.
Just then the Gryffindor team joins us and they line up next to us. As our order went Captain, Seeker, Keeper, Chasers, Beaters, Anica and I were in line with Dylan and Nick respectively. We glance over at them, and they grin. Dylan points at us and runs his finger along his neck. I get the gist of his message; 'You're going down.'
I roll my eyes and point back at them, then swing my bat viciously while smirking; 'Bring it on' (more or less - also could be 'I'm going to kill you').
Further up the line, I hear a whistle, and then turn my head to catch George grinning at us. Then he cracks his knuckles together for emphasis as he mouths 'It's on'. Just like last time, I flip him the finger, as does Anica.
Suddenly, we were being called out, and before I knew it we were making our way onto the field. The stands erupted in cheers, boos, screams, yells and shouts. I'm disoriented for a moment from the overwhelming sensation, but quickly recover.
Tatum and Priya approach each other, shake hands, and then Coach Wood counts us down. I mount my broom, grip my bat tighter, take a deep breath, and then kick off as Wood blows the whistle. All of us fly off into the sky, and the game begins.
"And Captain Tatum Lillian is off with the Quaffle!" Viper commentates. "She flies through Gryffindor Chasers Owen Kent and Xander Ren and - oh! Xandler Muply intercepts Lillian. He races off, Slytherin Chasers Liam Patson and Michael Frank on his tail!"
I tune her out as I scan the air for the Bludgers.
My entire body is tense as the cold air whips my face and hair and the wood of my broom and bat bites into my hands. The commotion of the crowd is as loud as ever, and I feel myself getting dizzy as I watch the players speed past and my eyes jump from spot to spot in the air.
Taking a minute to adjust, I slow to a stop, hovering in the air above the game. I close my eyes and take a few deep breaths as I try to push the unimportant sensations away so I can focus.
Once I am grounded, I open my eyes and return to the game.
On the other side of the pitch, I spot Dylan and Nick hitting the Bludgers continuously at Tatum and Liam while Michael tries to draw their attention away from them.
"It looks like Gryffindor Captain Priya Kent made a good decision in her newest additions to the team!" Viper's voice rings out. "Gryffindor Beaters Dylan Freign and Nick Gougley seem to be giving it their all as they target Lillian and Patson!"
Sure enough, the boys did seem to be pulling out all their best moves. I am not in the least surprised; it was their first game, so of course, they would be showing off.
Two could play at that game.
I speed off to join them, and Anica and I fall into a pattern of deflecting their shots and sending the Bludgers back at them. Like we had discussed, Anica takes the lead, and so she tries to get in the boy's faces and distract them from their shots while I fly around the Chasers to keep them safe.
"And Frank scores - but Gryffindor are still in the lead 40:30!"
I curse as I turn back around and get into position as George throws the Quaffle back into game. As the four of us compete for the Bludgers, I decide to change tactics and instead fly around and in front of the boys to get in their way.
I fly close enough to stop them from swinging their bats, but not too close so that they can sabotage me. The whole time I grin and laugh as they curse and shout at me to get out of the way.
If there is one thing I'm good at, it's being annoying.
At one point, Tatum flies past me and calls out something that makes my heart speed up.
"Ffoksrop!"
"What the hell?" Dylan wonders as he catches it.
I can't help but grin. In our practices, we had been working on a certain move that would hopefully prove handy. In order to pull it off, however, the other team couldn't know what was happening. Hence, the gibberish Tatum had called out.
I scan the field for Anica, only to discover she was on the other side, way out of hearing range. Then I grin. The three of us had been practising our spell enough so that we could activate our jewellery without our wands. I can use that to my advantage.
I trace the 'A' in the air with my hand, and mutter 'Amokinum - Anica' under my breath. That way the message I sent will only be heard by her.
Tatum called the Ffoksrop, I send through. Get into position!
A moment later Anica pulls to a stop, and then rapidly changes direction. I manage to maneuver Nick and Dylan into the appropriate spot, where Tatum's hovering around without being too suspicious.
When are they doing it? Anica asks as she does her part.
Michael and Liam are in position now, I answer. Tatum will when they start.
Anica glances at me and nods slightly. She was marking Dylan while I was distracting Nick.
Then, right on time, Michael begins to climb upwards with the Quaffle in hand. Thankfully, Xander, Xandler and Owen fall for it and follow him up. Liam was behind them, ready to pull away when he needs to. As this happens, Tatum raced ahead beneath them, and Anica and I got to work.
We circle around in front of the boys and begin flying around in their way so they can't hit any Bludgers or get in the Chasers ways. As I focus on the boys, I listen to what Viper is saying to get a proper gauge of the play.
"And Slytherin seems to be attempting some sort of tactic here," she sounds confused as to what we're doing.
Then, suddenly, the crowd screams, and Viper lets out a squeal. A squeal.
"HOLY-" she just catches herself. "SLYTHERIN PULL OFF THE PORKSOFF PLOY WITH A SPECTACULAR PASS FROM FRANK DOWN TO LILLIAN, WHO SPEEDS OFF WITH THE QUAFFLE!"
"Yes!" I cheer as I watch Tatum race towards the goal hoops.
While Michael had drawn the attention of the Chasers, Tatum had positioned herself in the perfect spot for him to toss the Quaffle down to her. From there, she sped off while Owen, Xander and Xandler tried to pull out of their ascent. Liam, who had been below them and expecting the pass, also sped off ahead to provide back-up. Michael then swooped down to stop the opposing Chasers from getting in their way.
Luckily for Anica and I, Tatum and Liam were far enough ahead that even if Nick and Dylan could get the Bludgers they would have no effect.
Now it was just up to Tatum to get the goal through George.
Fortunately for us, Gerry was also in on the plan, and he momentarily pulled away from looking for the Snitch to distract George.
Somehow, he times it perfectly, and Gerry manages to fly past George, fake a punch to his stomach, and distract him long enough for Tatum to smash the Quaffle through the goal, scoring us enough points to take the lead.
"AND SLYTHERIN SCORES, BRINGING THE POINTS TO 80:70, WITH GRYFFINDOR FALLING BEHIND!"
The stands erupt in deafening cheers, but I can't bring myself to care about the agony it causes. We had been practising that move for ages, and only successfully pulled it off two or three times.
The seven of us do a few celebratory circles before returning to the game.
Unfortunately, our luck doesn't hold out.
I start to feel the effects of my over heightened senses worse than before. As I'm chasing around Nick to stop him from catching a Bludger, he 'accidentally' barges into me and I just about fall off my broom.
His speed and momentum send me flying, and I feel like I'm going to be sick as the world spins around me while I try to halt my broom. I can't grip the handle properly, and I slip to the side, dangerously close to tipping off.
To make things worse, a Bludger is rapidly approaching me, and I am still unable to control my broom. With nothing else to do, I desperately cry out to Anica.
Help me! I shout through our mind link, letting a yell slip past aloud as well.
All of this was happening in the space of a few seconds, yet it felt like hours. I'm too disorientated to stop my momentum, and too overwhelmed to control my direction.
Thankfully, Anica is nearby, and she races to hit the Bludger out of the way. It soars away in the opposite direction, and finally, I'm able to stop my broom. Anica flies up beside me, concern written all over her face.
"Gena, you need to stop playing! You look like you're about to be sick!"
I feel like it too. Although I had stopped spinning, the world had not. Ancia is the only thing keeping me from falling as she grips my arm tightly.
As hard as I try, I can't control my senses anymore, and I know I am on the verge of having a sensory meltdown, and that wasn't good. I hadn't had one in years, but it was something I didn't want to experience.
Desperately, I try to tune everything out. All the sounds, all the touches. I close my eyes and cover my ears with my hands. Anica seems to understand something is wrong, and loosens her grip on me, but stays close so I don't fall.
Suddenly, just as I'm starting to calm down, everything goes silent and the world seems to dim. Startled, I look around, but see the crowd still moving and pretty much everyone oblivious to what's going on. Then my necklace begins to pulse and I hear Xinia's quiet voice.
What's going on? she asks.
I shush her as I close my eyes in relief. I don't know what had happened, but I knew that whatever it was, I'm considerably less overwhelmed. With the lack of noise and dim light, I am able to recover from the overload and gain some control back.
Once I calm down, I turn to Anica and nod slightly. Carefully, she lets me go, and I grip my broom again. Whatever spell had been cast seems to lift, and everything comes back. I panic for a moment but quickly force it away.
"You okay?" Anica asks.
I nod.
"Let's just get this game over and done with."
She gives me one last look of concern before flying off. I adjust my grip on my bat and broom and then follow.
I have no idea what had happened, but we were still in the middle of a game, and I couldn't let my stupid senses ruin it.
"SLYTHERIN PULLS AHEAD 140:70!" Viper announces and despite Slytherin's massive lead, I curse under my breath.
How long had I been out of it?
I shake it off as I analyse the field. Nick and Dylan were still showing off, and I narrow my eyes. Although it was unintentional, Nick had ruined my game by barging into me. No way was I going to let that go.
As I look around for the Bludgers I spot one near Nick. Bingo! I race after it, locking Xandler in as my target as I go. He's currently racing ahead of the others so that he can score when they get it closer to him. Not on my watch.
I increase my speed, and soon enough, I am approaching Nick. I ready my bat, and as I pass him, I hit his back with it (somewhat gently, so I don't get a penalty), yelling 'Payback bitch!' just before hitting the Bludger at Xandler.
My timing is impeccable (as always), and Xandler is forced into a Sloth Grip Roll to avoid my Bludger, which means he missed the Quaffle Owen tossed at him, and Liam snatches it out of the air and flies off in the opposite direction.
Xandler swears and glares at me for a moment before racing off. I grin as Nick also curses me for hitting him.
Not long after, Michael manages to score, and we're brought up to 150 points. It was impressive, but Gryffindor still has the chance to win if they catch the snitch.
And, suddenly, as if hearing my thoughts, Priya suddenly appears out of nowhere, seemingly in chase of the Snitch. A moment later, Gerry is on her tail, and the race is on.
My heart speeds up as it is now down to us. Anica and I would have to gain control of the Bludgers in order to stop Priya from catching the Snitch. However, it was a race against time as she gains on the golden blur.
Ignoring the pounding in my head, I focus my full attention on getting a Bludger. Dylan is right on my tail, so I execute a sharp turn to buy myself some time. It works, and he spends a few precious seconds getting back on course as I approach the Bludger.
I line myself up, and just as Gerry is about to reach Priya, I hit. The Bludger speeds towards them, and I hold my breath in anticipation.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, the other Bludger intercepts mine, and both of them ricochet in the opposite direction to where I want.
Across the pitch, I hear Nick's victorious cackle followed by Dylan's triumphant shout behind me. Grunting in frustration, I race off after the Bludgers once again, talking to Ancia in my mind.
What are we gonna do? I ask.
Gerry and Priya were neck and neck, but they seemed to have momentarily lost sight of the Snitch.
Dopplebeater Defence? she suggests but I shake my head.
It'll take too much time. Plus, we risk hitting Gerry if we do that.
Okay, so do you have any bright ideas?
Hit the Bludger and hope for the best? I suggest cluelessly.
Good plan.
Dylan and I are neck and neck for the Bludger, so I morph myself a little for more speed. I pull ahead ready my bat and line up my shot. When the Bludger comes to me, I swing with all my might and thank Merlin that Priya was on the side closest to me so that I didn't hit Gerry. The Bludger slammed into the back of her broom, just missing Gerry's as it forces her to slow down and regain control.
"Damn you Dinnick!" Dylan shouts from behind me and I cackle triumphantly.
Gerry speeds ahead and he reaches out his hand and-
"Fuck you, Nick!" I hear Anica shout from across the pitch just as the other Bludger slams into Gerry's arm, and I hear the sound of bones breaking.
Gerry cries out in pain as he cradles his arm to his chest. He's forced to slow down, and Priya catches up as I desperately race after a Bludger. It's too late, however. Priya reaches out, her hand closes around the golden blur, and a grin overtakes her face.
"GRYFFINDOR SEEKER PRIYA KENT HAS CAUGHT THE GOLDEN SNITCH!" Viper announces somewhat dispirited. "GRYFFINDOR WINS, 220:150!"
I groan as cheers sound across the stadium, along with boos of the same volume. Dylan flies past me laughing victoriously.
"Suck on that Dinnick!"
"That's Nick's job," I jab back halfheartedly.
His grin slips a little and he turns away. I can't even manage a smirk, however; too devastated about losing.
I fly down and join the rest of the team on the ground, all of whom look similarly upset.
"Don't worry about it," Tatum tries to reassure us. "We'll beat them next year. This is just our first match; we'll crush the others."
"Yeah, but it's Gryffindor!" Wyrene whines. "They'll never let us live it down!"
"Truer words have never been spoken!" a voice suddenly comes from behind her, and Xander and Xandler appear on either side of her.
Wyrene spins around and delivers a hard punch to both their chests, and they groan in pain.
Priya approaches us, and she and Tatum shake hands. I see Priya wince slightly while Tatum's lips twitch upwards briefly. They release their grips, and Priya rubs her hand for a moment. Suddenly, the rest of the Gryffindor team are racing over with wide smiles and teasing remarks. I glance at Anica, and she nods slightly. When Nick and Dylan approach us, both of us raise our fists and punch them in the stomach. Nick stumbles back, glaring at me while Dylan swears at Anica as he doubles over in pain. I also hit Nick over the head as I scowl at him.
"That's for nearly pushing me off my broom!"
He rubs his head and glares at me.
"Then what was that hit with your bat for?" he cries.
I shrug.
"It was an accident."
He mumbles something that sounds remarkably like full stick under his breath.
"GENA!" I suddenly hear and turn just as a blur of red hair slams into me.
I stumble back from the momentum, a breathless huff leaving my mouth as I register that its Xinia hugging me. I crinkle my nose slightly and gently push her away.
"What was that for?"
"I saw what happened after Nick ran into you," she says breathlessly. "Are you okay? What were you thinking playing after that?"
I glance around and see everyone looking at us in confusion. I huff before gripping her arm and leading her and Anica aside so we can talk in private.
"I'm fine," I tell Xinia. "I just had to take a minute to recover."
"Don't lie to me Dinnick!" she threatens. "Tell me exactly what happened."
I glance at Anica and she shrugs helplessly. I sigh before outlining everything. Once I'm finished, Xinia punches me none too lightly and glares at me.
"Ow, Xinia!" I yelp. "Don't do that!"
"Why didn't you tell me? I could've helped. I was worried out of my mind when I saw you all but blackout mid-air."
"I didn't blackout," I protested.
"Well, not quite," Anica pipes in. "But you were pretty close."
"Whatever," I sigh. "Point is, I'm fine."
"Yeah, my question is how?" Xinia asked. "One minute you looked on the verge of a meltdown, the next you were all relaxed and stuff."
"I noticed that too," Anica furrows her eyebrows. "How did you recover like that?"
I shrug cluelessly, letting my gaze fall away from them.
"One minute I was overwhelmed by everything, the next it was completely silent, as if-" I suddenly cut off as I spotted Professor Lupin in the teacher's stands, staring right at me.
When he notices I'm looking at him, he gives me a small smile and tilts his head ever so slightly in a nod.
"As if what?" Xinia asks impatiently.
"As if someone had cast a spell to help me," I finished, still looking at Lupin.
Was it possible that he had been the one to cast the spell? If so, why? And how had he known to?
Lupin suddenly looks away, and I shake my head slightly as I turn back to the girls. They were looking at me with confusion written all over their faces. I shook my head again and waved them off.
"Don't worry about it," I tell them. "I'm fine now."
They still look sceptical, but thankfully, drop the subject.
We're quickly joined by the boys and Ciena, and the seven of us journey back to the castle. George, Nick and Dylan tease Anica and me the entire time, but we retaliate by threatening to blow their junk off, and they eventually drop it.
We still have a few hours until the Quidditch celebrations, which Priya informs us will take place after dinner, so we settle down at our usual spot and talk to fill the time.
About half an hour before dinner, something strange happens.
Out of the corner of my eye, I spot something moving through the air. I brush it off as a leaf until it comes closer and I realise that it's a piece of paper. It heads straight for me, and surprised, I pluck it out of the air as it lands in front of me.
The conversation dies out as everyone looks at me. I glance at Anica and Xinia for a moment before turning my eyes to the paper. I unfolded it and read it in my head.
Gena,
I'd like to speak to you in my office if it's no trouble. Come now, and we'll be done for dinner.
Professor Lupin
I frown as I read it again to confirm what I thought; Lupin wanted to speak to me privately.
I show the note to the girls and they read it in confusion.
"What is it?" George asks.
"Lupin wants to speak to me," I tell them as I stand up, brushing my robes off.
"What have you done now?" Nick frowned.
I roll my eyes as I take the note off of Xinia.
"Nothing. I'm sure it's just about Transfiguration or something. I'll meet you guys back at dinner."
Xinia looks a little sceptical, but the others just shrug it off. I send her a reassuring smile before turning away and walking off.
I had a feeling what Lupin wanted, but I wasn't about to tell the group that.
I made my way through the castle, knowing the path to Lupin's office like the back of my hand now, I had visited it so often.
We still met up throughout the week so he could help me with Transfiguration and occasionally my metamorphmagus abilities. But I knew this meeting would be different to normal.
When I reach his office, I hear him say 'Enter' before I even knock. One thing I had learnt was that for whatever reason, Lupin seemed to be affected in a similar way I was when it came to enhanced senses and whatnot. I was pretty sure he had it worse though.
I push the door open, and take the seat across from him that he offers. For a moment, neither of us say anything. Just as the silence starts to become uncomfortable, Lupin thankfully speaks up.
"Do you know why I called you here, Miss Dinnick?" he asks, raising one eyebrow.
"Not really," I lie, trying to put off the inevitable.
"Come now," he chides. "You must have some idea."
I bite back a snappy retort and instead fix him with a blank expression. I get the feeling that if it weren't extremely disrespectful, Lupin would be rolling his eyes at me.
"Maybe it has something to do with your near-death experience on the pitch earlier?" he prompts.
Still, I say nothing. He sighs.
"Come on, Gena. I know you almost had a sensory overload during the game, and if it weren't for me, you would have."
Although that idea had passed through my mind before, I was still surprised. The sudden muteness I had felt. The way everything had faded away and I had been able to recover.
"Wait, that was you?" I ask, straightening in my chair and leaning closer. "You made everything go quiet?"
For a moment, he looks like he regretted saying anything, but he quickly recovers.
"Yes," he reveals. "And you're lucky I did. Who knows what would've happened if I hadn't stepped in?!" his voice rises slightly, although it didn't sound like he was mad at me. More just the situation in general.
I lean back, taking a moment to process that information. For whatever reason, Lupin had obviously been watching me and noticed that something was wrong. I didn't know what to do with that information.
"I - well, thank you," I answer, crinkling my eyebrows in confusion. "But I didn't need your help. I had it handled."
Despite my gratefulness, I couldn't help being defensive. It made me feel like I was incapable and useless. As if I wouldn't have been able to deal with it myself. I didn't like needing help from others.
Of course, Lupin has to retort back, though.
"I beg to differ," he gives me a semi-condescending look. "You were just inches away from falling off your broom. I could tell, even from where I was in the stands, that you were basically unconscious. I shiver to think of what could have happened if I hadn't done something."
"Might I point out that I was in the process of calming down?" I reply, my voice rising slightly as my annoyance grows. "Just because I didn't know your spell, it doesn't mean that I couldn't have recovered on my own."
Lupin closes his eyes and takes a breath. He pinches the bridge of his nose and then opens his eyes.
"This is pointless. I called you here to teach you the spell that I used so that in the future, you can help yourself. I won't always be around, so you need to learn it."
I was extremely tempted to comment on the last part of his words, but I pushed the feeling away. He was right. Bickering was silly.
"Right. Well, er, thank you," I reluctantly answer.
"That's all you needed to say," Lupin grins to take away the sting of his words.
Ever the mature one, I don't refrain from rolling my eyes.
The tense mood disappears, and he chuckles slightly. Then he clears his throat and stands up, coming around to face me. I turn in the chair to look at him properly.
"The spell is relatively simple," he begins. "You just have to…"
We spend half an hour working on the spell, and then he finally lets me go to dinner. I had made a little bit of progress, but it turned out to be harder than he let on.
I put my wand away and then smooth out my robes. Then I turn to him a little awkwardly as I'm reminded of the beginning of our meeting.
"I'm sorry about before," I apologise quietly, hating it, but knowing I probably should. "I really am grateful for your help."
He smiles gently and gives me a little nod. Then his smile turns into a small grin.
"I couldn't exactly have my star pupil falling to her death now, could I?"
I smirk.
"Damn right."
He gives me a slightly disapproving look but shakes his head exasperatedly, a hint of a grin pulling at his lips.
"Alright, off you go," he waves his hand, shooing me to the door.
I make my way over. As I open the door, I turn around and give him a sly smile.
"I totally could have handled myself, by the way."
I don't wait for an answer before darting out and shutting the door. However, with my increased hearing, I catch Lupin's comeback anyway.
"Of course, you could."
The weirdest thing is, I only detected the slightest amount of sarcasm in his voice.
Just letting you know that I'm going to be creating a new story for Amokinum Year 2. I just don't want this story to end up having like a hundred chapters, so I'm going to transfer Chapters 1-9 of second year to this new story. It'll just be called Amokinum Year 2 or something. In the meantime, I'll keep all the chapters up in this story as well, but eventually, I'll stop updating here and delete all of year 2 chapters.
