Upon hearing the defeat of Lael by Hiccup's hands, the Marines were quite shocked and terrified.
"No way! Impossible!"
"But he was CP9, and the ages they have now are the strongest the world has ever seen. Even among them, Lael Robson was the best. These pirates are too powerful!"
"He won!" Snotlout yelled at the top of his voice. "Hiccup won!"
"Hiccup, you had us worried," said Toothless.
"I knew you could do it," Astrid smiled.
"You finally beat him; way to go," said Eret.
"Hiccup!" Fishlegs smiled.
"That our captain!" Ruffnut cheered.
"Nothing can stop him!" Tuffnut yelled.
"Everybody, head to the escape ship; we're getting out of here!" Astrid ordered.
"He did it," Chopper cried.
Then suddenly, they heard voices coming from a transponder snail.
"Way to go, Dragon!" said a voice.
"You morons, keep it down! People can hear us!"
"Who cares? We want him to know!"
"Hey, those voices whose are they?" a Marine captain asked.
"Unknown, they're coming in from somewhere near a transponder snail, sir."
"All right, Big Bro!" said Teeny's voice.
Snotlout eyes widened as he looked around. 'What? That voice?'
"Stop it, they still think that we're dead, remember?" said a voice. "You're going to blow it!"
Eret recognises the voices they belong to both Teeny and Palmer.
"Those voices," said Eret shocked.
"They made it," Toothless smiled.
"Aren't those the pirates that we shot down on the shore by the front gate?" said a Vice-Admiral.
"I-it sounds like it, but sir, we saw them. They all fell over the cliff, sir. They couldn't have survived."
It was true that they did watch them go over the cliff, but what they didn't realise was that the giants to the full brunt of the attack and Palmer used his ropes to create a net to catch them all. They were all now currently hanging from the side of the cliff, which also hid them from view.
"Stop pushing, you idiots."
"We're going to fall!"
"The rope is going to break!"
"You morons," said Palmer. "Galley Law ropes never break; calm down. Geez, I told you to keep it quiet."
"We're all okay," said Teeny. "Everybody made it!"
"That was close," said Kaley. "The giants, they took all the cannon fire for us."
"Gosh, they're a stubborn bunch, huh?" said Coco.
"Uh-huh, but at least they're alive," said Chimney.
"David and Goliath are okay too!" Kalena added.
"That's great!" Chopper cried.
"Look, it's not safe here; those battleships will be coming back," said Palmer. "We do get moving now!"
"Right," Teeny nodded. "Listen up! We've got our escape plan all figured out. Go, don't worry about us! Let's all leave this place alive."
"See you again soon," said Kalena.
"Time to head out," said Kaley.
"Move it, you guys climb up first," said Kadir, who was hanging upside down with Gabor.
"Hurry, blood is rushing to head… getting dizzy," said Gabor.
"All right, climb!" Palmer ordered.
They all immediately cheered as they began climbing up the ropes.
"Hurry up, everyone, get moving!" said Kalena.
"I'm going to fall!" said Kaley.
"Stop shoving!" Lasse snapped.
At the bridge, Eret burst into tears of joy upon hearing that they were alive.
"You dummies, I wasn't worried about you at all," he said. "They made it! They're alive; I'm so happy those idiots are okay."
"Agreed, good for them," said Toothless. "What a relief, huh?"
"Sadly won't mean anything if we died here," Astrid pointed out.
"Yeah, you're right," said Eret brushing his tears away.
"Sir! Should we hurry over to the main gate?" a Marine asked, looking at Vice-Admiral Gorg.
"No, later," said Gorg. "First things first… what's wrong, move it! We've got a duty to carry out!"
The Marines were still quite shocked over Lael's defeat, so sharp that they had forgotten they were battling against pirates.
"Sir!" they said.
Eret saw one of the Marine commanders swinging his sword at him, but he was able to block it with his arm.
"Ha, bring it on!" Eret challenged. "I'll take all of you out!"
"Thunderbolt Tempo!" Fishlegs yelled, unleashing a burst of lightning upon the Marines.
"Valkyrie Impact!" Astrid yelled, slamming her impact dial into Marine and creating a powerful shockwave that cleared a path.
"Hundred Flowers!" Heather yelled, and arms immediately sprouted around the Marines surrounding her.
"Our target is Dragon; he's on the first column," said Gorg.
"Right, understood, sir!" said a Marine, who was looking at the column with his binoculars. "But he's… he doesn't seem to be moving. Dragon Conqueror Hiccup is… sir; he appears to be severely wounded."
The Dragon Riders heard that announcement loud and clear.
"What?" said Toothless.
"Not good," said Astrid.
Hiccup was indeed exhausted, he had used the last of his strength to defeat Lael, and there's constant transformation had a toll on his body.
Snotlout quickly made his way over to the edge of the bridge and could see Hiccup was completely helpless.
"Hiccup!" he yelled. "What are you doing? Hurry up and get the hell over here! If we don't escape, we're all going to die! What's wrong with you, dammit! We're almost there! Use your power to transform and find a way over here; I can carry the rest of the way."
Hiccup really wished he could do that, but he didn't have the strength to move, let alone transform. Even if he could transform, he very much doubted that he would be able to fly his way over to the bridge.
"We're surrounded by sea and powershift on all sides!" Snotlout yelled. "If we stay here, we're going to be killed."
The Marines had now finally realised how the Dragon Riders were planning to escape.
"It would seem as if the pirates applying to escape using the stolen escort ship," said a Marine to a Vice-Admiral.
"Hiccup!" Snotlout screamed, but Hiccup didn't say a word. "Hiccup, answer me! Say something!"
"I-I can't… my body won't…" said Hiccup weakly.
"What?" Snotlout stared.
"My body won't move," said Hiccup.
"It won't move," said Snotlout shocked. "Come on, don't be stupid! You just beat Lael, didn't you? And we already saved Heather; the only thing left to do is run! Try harder; you can do it!"
Hiccup tried his best to move, but his body would move an inch.
"If we can't bring Hiccup to the ship, we bring the ship to Hiccup," said Astrid as he took down two Marines. "We'll grab her when they get out of here. Everyone move, get on board!"
Unfortunately, before any of them could do such a thing, the Marines then fired their cannons upon the ship, destroying it. All the Dragon Riders immediately turned and saw the escort ship burning, and what was worse, Chopper, Coco and Chimney were on board.
"No, that's our escape ship," said Astrid.
"Those bastards, now it's hopeless," said Eret. "We're completely surrounded on that ship was our only way out of here. What are we going to do?"
"Coco… Chimney… Paws… Chopper…" said Fishlegs horrified.
Then suddenly, they saw Ragnar running out of the smoke carrying Chopper and the others.
"I've got them!" Ragnar yelled.
"Thank goodness," said Fishlegs relieved as Ragnar put them down.
Astrid then approached him. "Ragnar, where the hell have you been?"
"Sorry, there was something that I had to take care of," Ragnar panted. "Damn, this is bad. We're pretty screwed right now. Before, they would attack us so long as we still have Heather here. I was sure that the bridge and the ship would be safe."
Then suddenly, a Marine got behind Astrid and placed his sword against her throat.
"That's far enough, surrender," he ordered. "Release the old lady and the little girl, or I'll—"
"There is no time for any of that," said Coco getting to her feet. "Mermaid Kick!"
She then kicked the Marine in the face with her webbed feet, sending him flying.
"Fire!" Gorg ordered.
The battleships then began firing upon the bridge, destroying the third column.
"Why does this always happen to us?" Fishlegs moaned as they ran to the second column.
"Box them in at the second column," Gorg ordered.
"Fire!" Doberman ordered.
More cannon fire struck the third column, completely destroying it.
"That was close!" said Ragnar. "Keep moving!"
The battleships continued to rain fire down upon the bridge, but so far, all they will, blushing, was firing upon their own men.
"Run!" Ragnar yelled at the others.
The explosion's shockwave knocked most of the Dragon Riders of their feet, but Toothless, Astrid, and Ragnar managed to keep their footing. Then together, the three of them demolished the rubble that was heading straight towards them.
Finally, the cannon fire stopped, and when the smoke cleared, they found themselves trapped on the second column. Both the third column and the bridge that led to it were now completely destroyed, and there was no way for them to reach the first column.
"Dammit, they took up the bridge," Ragnar cursed. "We're stuck on this column. These bastards have us cornered."
"There's nothing as we can do; we're surrounded," said Toothless.
"The only thing we can do is make our last stand," said Astrid.
"They will only send more and more of those captains after us," said Eret.
"All ships, prepare to open fire on the first column!" Gorg ordered.
Then, all the battleships began aiming their cannons directly at the first column where Hiccup was trapped.
"All cannons take aim, eliminate Dragon Conqueror Hiccup," said Gorg.
"Hiccup!" Snotlout screamed.
Hiccup was still unable to move; it really did look as if this was going to be the end.
"Hiccup is in trouble," said Toothless as he fended off the Marines. "You've got to do something."
"Great, just perfect," said Hiccup.
"Hiccup!" Snotlout yelled and immediately turned to Heather.
"No good," said Heather. "At this distance, all I can do is grab him and throw him into the sea."
The Eret Family and Galley Law could hear everything over the transponder snail knew the grim situation.
"Bad news, you guys, Dragon may have won the fight, but now he so weak he can't get up he'll be killed," said Teeny.
"Dragon!" Palmer yelled.
"No, Dragon!" the Eret Family yelled. "Stand up, Dragon!"
On the other side of the island, the Marines were prepared to open fire upon Hiccup.
"Come on, stand up!" Coco yelled.
"Pirate Guy, run!" Chimney yelled.
"Hiccup, hurry! Move it!" Astrid pleaded.
"Dammit, you've got to do something right now, Hiccup," said Ragnar.
"Hiccup!" Fishlegs yelled.
"Dragon!" Eret yelled.
"Come on, you can do this!" the Eret Family yelled.
Hiccup tried to move his body, but no matter how hard he tried, he just couldn't move.
"No, I'm in trouble," he said.
Hiccup punched two Marines with a pair of electric covered fists and looked at Hiccup. "Hiccup!"
Ragnar had just kicked a Marine in the face. "Get moving; they're going to kill you!"
The twins had just taken down a Marine captain together with their blades. "Hiccup, move it!"
"Get on your feet and get out of there now!" Palmer's voice yelled.
"Do something!" the Eret Family yelled.
Snotlout then heard that same sound from before. 'There it is again.' He then placed his hands over his ears and tried to listen in. "What?"
He was so focused on the noise that he did notice a Marine charging towards him. Fortunately, Eret punched him in the face with his iron covered fist.
"Hey, you try to kill yourself?" said Eret. "Stop spacing out; now is not the time."
"Whose voice is this anyway?" Snotlout asked, completely ignoring Eret. "That's right, that's the same voice I heard before. What's going on here?"
"What?" said Eret as he put a Marine in a neck hold. "Those voices, those are my guys."
"No, that's not what I'm talking about here," said Snotlout. "I've heard it for a while."
"Huh?" said Eret looking at him confused.
Hiccup was still lying on the ground, and then he heard the same voice as Snotlout.
"What?" said Hiccup as his eyes fell upon the sea.
Snotlout made his way to the edge of the bridge and began looking around. "It's coming from over here…" He then looked down into the sea. "…below?"
It was then that the other Dragon Riders heard the same sound, though none of them recognised it.
'Who is that?' said Fishlegs.
"What the hell, that voice…" said Ragnar.
"It says look below," said Chopper.
"Who does?" Chimney asked. "What are you talking about?"
"All ships open fire on the first column and Dragon Conqueror Hiccup!" a Marine ordered. "Commencing in five…"
"No, Hiccup!" Astrid screamed.
Snotlout was currently on his knees, crying. 'You shouldn't have. You really shouldn't have.' He then heard the same voice telling him to do it. "Jump into the sea!"
"…Four…"
"The sea!" Snotlout cried.
"Snotlout?" Toothless stared.
Snotlout turned to Heather. "Heather, can you still push Hiccup into the sea?"
"Leave it to me," she said.
"Are you trying to kill us?" said Toothless.
"Yeah, even we wouldn't do something that crazy," said Ruffnut.
"We'll be torn to shreds," said Tuffnut.
"…Three…"
"We're going to be saved; she came to rescue us," Snotlout cried. "Jump, it will be okay. We still have one more friend here."
…Two…"
"Chopper, did you see?" Fishlegs asked.
"Yes!" Chopper cried.
"Hundred Flowers!" said Heather crossing her arms.
Arms then immediately sprouted from the ground lifting Hiccup off the ground.
"…One…"
"Delphinium!" said Heather.
Hiccup suddenly felt himself being rolled down towards the edge of the column by the arms.
"This is a little unsettling," said Hiccup.
"To the sea!" Ragnar yelled.
"To the sea!" Astrid yelled.
"To the sea!" Chopper cried.
Heather then successfully managed to toss Hiccup over the edge of the column, and he began falling down into the sea.
"Follow Hiccup!" Snotlout yelled as he jumped.
Then they began jumping off the bridge and dived into the sea themselves, much to the confusion of the Marines.
"All the pirates are jumping into the sea."
"Ha, there's no way those idiots will survive in these waters. They're done for. Those Dragon Riders are completely out of their minds."
Every single one of the Dragon Riders had a large smile on their faces as they dived down into the sea.
'Let's go back, everyone,' said a voice.
"…Fire!" a Marine ordered.
The Marines then fired upon the first column destroying it instantly. However, they failed to notice that below the bridge was the Going Tiger.
'Back to the seas adventure,' said the voice.
"Everybody, get on board the Tiger!" Snotlout yelled.
"Hello, old friend," Hiccup smiled.
'I came to get you,' said the voice.
