Here we go folks. Shorter chapter than the last couple but I promise to make it up to y'all in the future. Besides, tbh imo the butter zone for chapters is between 5.5k-8.5k for length.
Happy New Years everyone!
POV: TorchbearRed Eyes
Now in the few weeks it's been since I found myself in the company of the Quarian Migrant Fleet it's been a rather fun time. It started with the Marines, Tali and her father when they found out about my personal anomaly. They didn't know how to react for the most part besides quietly waiting for something to go wrong but when they did finally react it was quick and prompt.
Tali would proceed to fuss over me for a couple minutes making sure that I was actually okay. When she stopped being worried then she got angry and she got into me in a way I never imagined that she was capable of. The mild mannered Tali threw all that out the window and gave me the dressing down of a lifetime for risking my life doing that. I tried to voice that I knew what would happen but she wouldn't hear it.
It took her father calming her down for a few minutes as she continued to berate me. I learned several new Quarian swear words. Along with that I learned from the reactions of the Marines that this wasn't exactly a rare thing. The way they straightened and immediately went to a ramrod straight attention like they were recruits told me as much.
The Marines stared at me out of the corner of their eyes with a mix of horror and admiration. The horror I understood as I was subject to the most brutal undressing they had probably ever seen from both Tali, maybe. The admiration of course came from the same thing. That being for the onslaught I just dealt with it. Tali wasn't truly crazy and willing to do anything towards actually hurting me.
She was so much better in real life than her in game version. Her in game version was a bit apprehensive and cautious. In real life though she was an absolute spitfire and I loved that in any woman, I don't know why but that was my type and there wasn't anything stopping that. Even before I got sent to this dimension spitfires were always my go do. I loved that type of woman.
Either way I would spend well over an hour dealing with them scolding me on everything that could have gone wrong with what I did. After that they sent me to their doctors where they went over several intensive tests. Most of which resolved around whether or not that they would actually be able to implement my unique blood/immune system to their own people.
They would be able to, of course from their own words, but it would take a few years plus several generations to create a significant improvement. That being said, the fact that it would help them was incredible for the long run. In the short run a common cold or scratch wouldn't be deadly to Quarians in about half a year. They, according to the doctors, would be able to truly focus on the future of their race without resorting to reclaiming Rannoch.
While Rannoch was the milestone that the whole of the Quaian populace, as a whole they enjoyed anime. Something that, I have no shame in admitting, enjoyed a lot. It resulted in me spending a lot of time with Tali showing her Anime's that I was familiar with. From Akira to Black Clover. Both of the ones I mentioned she was unfamiliar with because of their age to this dimension. She still enjoyed them though.
For the doctors they had been continually testing me over the last several weeks by drawing blood and running experiments on it. Some plasma too from my blood along with studying strains of my DNA. When they had done that it resulted in some very unique occurrences that they previously didn't believe was possible.
Not only was my DNA compatible with the Quarians, meaning I could live in any environment across the known galaxy among other things but they didn't specify what exactly. That wasn't the only thing that my DNA was capable of though. They hypothesized that with a slow mix of my blood into the Quarian populace that they would be able to develop Biotics. Something that the Quarians hadn't had since their time on Rannoch.
The doctors said that, like their immune systems, it would take a generation or two to take effect but they would be able to have Biotics. This revelation and the fact that they had already started to create immunization boosters was kept hush hush and only a select few people were allowed to know so others wouldn't find out. Namely the STG because no one really wanted to know what they would do with that information. The council had shown that they would violently evict Quarians from planets if need be and if the Quarians were able to have Biotics they may be more proactive.
As for everyone that was allowed to know it boiled down to the doctors who figured it out and the admirals. No one else, not even Tali was allowed to know. The admirals had sat me down with the Doctors after that and asked to do several more invasive procedures to see if they could discover anything else. I agreed as long as they understood that their whole race owed me a favor to be called in at any time.
They weren't particularly happy with that condition and tried to negotiate out of it but I held firm. The doctors were my best allies in those negotiations because they really wanted to see what they could discover. It took just over 3 hours of negotiating for them to buckle and accept my demand.
The invasive procedures were not fun in any way shape or form. They first performed a spinal tap to see what they could find in my spinal fluid. Next they took some bone marrow and have me give them a semen sample; it was as uncomfortable as it sounds. The last one was just some brain fluid. They thankfully put me under for the last one and each operation they hopped me up on strong painkillers. Those tests have kept me in bed for the most part but when they were done they told me that they wouldn't need anymore for a long while and I was free to leave the hospital.
When I did I immediately found my way to where the Marines were and demanded to be brought in on their drills and simulations. They agreed and went through it all with me. The Marines were good teachers and taught me a lot about evasion and shield management. Most of it was enlightening and when it wasn't it hammered in things that my mentors had taught me.
Now, with all that being said I spent a giant amount of my time with Tali. The first month was basically spent in their hospital but Tali kept me company. Not only that but while I was in their hospital she was there every single time. She told me that she was ignoring her fathers orders to be with me and I loved it. I loved a woman who was willing to break the rules.
Disregarding her fathers orders got her a fair bit of grief but usually only a brief second or two of staring from me discouraged anything beyond that. It was probably the first time in my life that I was thankful for having my resting face looking like someone who wanted murder. It was a great gift upon looking at it a second time.
As for right now our current situation was both of us sitting across from each other. Both of us currently having a collar on our necks and a smile graced my lips. A great thing that I found out was that I was exponentially better at Tali for software and hacking than she was. She was, of course, better at hardware or anything pertaining to that than I had any right to be. Software though, I absolutely trounced her.
Which brought us to where we were now. It boiled down to the exact same way that Ceelo would go about his way of teaching. A shock collar around the neck and Tali was not happy in the slightest about it. She would agree to it eventually after the 20th time I bested her with hacking but she was not happy about it.
Either way we were now sitting across from each other and trying to hack the other. I was winning a hack game for the first time since I became Ceelo's apprentice and was taking judicious pleasure in it. Tali wasn't happy at all with the results and she was especially not happy with me winning through employing Ceelo's programs and ways to win. Either way I didn't stop my one man crusade to finally win a hack game and not too long later we ended the game.
When we did end the game I plastered on my face the biggest shit eating grin ever. Tali was not happy that she had just lost a hacking game to me, for the 20th time in a row. Now, she wasn't vocal about this but I was able to tell by her body language. That being said I had been on the receiving end of this for literal years thanks to Ceelo so seeing it in someone else was great. I didn't wait long to tell her but I definitely savored it.
"Tali, you know you're doing it wrong," I said to her, breaking the silence that hung in the air after I had beaten her.
"How am I doing it wrong?" she seethed out obviously pissed.
"You're challenging a superior opponent," I kept my grin plastered on my face. She fummed in anger for a brief second and then sighed and let her anger wash away.
"Bosh'tet."
"Yep… Wanna go again?" She stared me down for a few seconds before nodding her head.
I gave a countdown with my hand before we went after each other. Being the 21st time she had made adjustments along the way to get better at hacking me but it still wasn't enough. Having a teacher like Ceelo pound this type of stuff into you made anyone else almost too easy to deal with. That's not to say that it was because it wasn't, just easier than it had any right to be.
She almost had me this time around too. She hit with Trojan horse I had mistaken for a simple probing and was mere seconds from winning. However, I was able to isolate the program to one area just like Ceelo's electroshock therapy taught me. I then copied it and used it against her as a distraction. She caught it almost immediately but didn't realize that it was just a distraction and I was able to slip past her firewall and activate the collar.
"Bosh'tet!" she shouted at clawing at the collar for a few seconds as it shocked her.
I didn't say anything and just watched it happen. As the shocks started to stop she got up and started pacing around her room taking a couple deep breaths. Now, I would be a liar if I said that I didn't observe his butt as she walked around. My eyes followed it the whole time except for when she was facing me. After a couple minutes of pacing she stopped and plopped down on her bed.
"Would you like to go again, Tali?"
"No," she growled out, staring daggers at me. " I almost had you there didn't I?"
"Almost but almost only counts for horseshoes and hand grenades."
"I will find a way to make you suffer for this Aedon."
"I very much doubt that Tali."
Before she could respond her father entered the room. He looked between Tali and I for a brief second before doing a double take on Tali. It took me a second to figure out what he had seen, she still had the shock collar on. Taking a couple steps towards her he saw it and then whirled on me. I was thankful I too had one on otherwise that definitely wouldn't have ended well.
"What are you doing?" he spoke and even a completely oblivious person would've been able to recognize the anger directed at me.
"A simple game Admiral. Loser gets shocked, the winner doesn't."
"Why would you play this game?"
"It's a good training exercise sir. No one likes to get shocked."
"Tali, leave us. Weehe'Mar needs help going over some of our work," Tali silently stood up from her desk and took off the collar before leaving the room. As she did so I took off my collar and stood up. I had my armor on but with most of the actual armor pieces taken off, chest and legs only left.
"Tali has informed me that one of your mentors was Ceelo'Nos. Correct?"
"Yes. What's this got to do with anything?"
"I have instructed Tali on such things and didn't believe I would have to tell you but don't mention his name. In any way shape or form."
"I know that. Why are you telling me this though? We weren't and haven't talked about Ceelo. I know she doesn't like to talk about him."
"Because this type of training is the type of thing he did, I assume he did it to you as well?" I nodded in response. "I know you didn't know so I won't make anything out of it but for the future don't do stuff like this. Most don't trust you as it is, they find out you're his apprentice, it'll be a lot worse."
"Most don't like me?" I was admittedly a little confused there. I had given a lot for the Quarian people.
"Don't trust you," he pointedly corrected before continuing, "Most people just don't know anything about you beyond you being a famous mercenary who isn't exactly well known for mercy."
"That's… yeah that checks out actually. I'm assuming most probably think I'm a freeloader too?"
"Yes. Only the doctors you've worked with and the Admirals know what you've given us. You understand it has to be hush hush."
"I agree with the decision sir. Is there any way I can do more around here, give the people a little relief?"
"That's actually why I'm here. Kal'Reegar has requested you to train with the squad he's training. He wants you to teach them what you can. Will you accept?"
"Of course. They train in the hanger right sir?" he gave a nod and I continued, "Is there anything else you need from me then?"
"Yes, but it isn't as an admiral," this time his eyes were like laser beams as they bored into my own. I understood immediately. "She is my only daughter. The only one I have in my life, no cousins, no aunts, no uncles. She is it so if you hurt her I will endeavor to make you suffer. Nothing and no one will stop me if it comes to that. I hope we have an understanding."
"I understand sir," was my immediate reply and he gave me a curt nod before leaving.
I've had this type of talk before in my life but never with that amount of anger behind the words. It was easy to tell that her cared deeply for Tali and I believed every word that he said.
Pushing that out of my mind I put my helmet back on and went on a quick jog back to my ship, now in the Rayya's hangar. Getting there I grabbed the rest of my gear and put on the remaining armor pieces for my armor. Once that was done I headed to where the training area was.
I probably looked like quite the sight as I entered with my armor fully on. Along with my Mattock, Sniper, the bandolier full of grenades and my pistol on the small of my back. It definitely wasn't a sight that many people walked away from.
Walking into the room I immediately saw Kal and made my way to him and he was talking to some Quarians. From the way that they were holding themselves I assumed them to be rookies and it made sense that Kal would want me to be with them for some exercises. I stood behind Kal silently as he finished talking to the recruits. When he turned around he made no outward sign of surprise and gave me a nod.
"Recruits. This is Torchbearer, Friend of the Fleet. He'll be taking over for me for a bit today, the higher ups wished to talk to me," and then he promptly left me with these kids. They all immediately relaxed their stances as Kal left and that wasn't going to fly.
"Stand at Attention," I growled out at them. Either by fright or self preservation all of them went back to attention and stopped being lax in their stances. "Good. You will address me as Torchbearer or Sir; is that understood."
"Yes Sir!" they all barked back in unison.
"Good; at ease men," they relaxed their stances for now, kinda redundant how I did that but it was for the statement. "Now, do any of you study the anatomy of the other species of the galaxy?"
"We're soldiers sir. Why would we need to study anatomy?" one of them replied. I immediately brought out my omni-tool and dropped the data packet I had been studying and building upon since I got to this dimension.
"You are Marines. You will be the bastion the Fleet uses for missions and will have to fight species other than Quarians. You must learn their weak points and how best to neutralize them. An example being the Turians, hard exoskeleton and a natural resistance to unarmed combat because of it. However, because of that exoskeleton they are weak to being slapped. It reverberates in their body and can throw off their balance and disorient them. How many of you knew that?"
Not a single one of them spoke up. All quietly looking between each other in confusion.
"Exactly. You'll all find the packet I just sent to your omni-tools very enlightening on the species we live with. Read it, love it, spread it. It will save your life and if it doesn't save yours it'll save your buddies. Is that clear?"
"Yes sir!"
"Good. Now what do you Marines know about explosives?" I loved anything that exploded if that wasn't obvious.
Anyways I would spend the next several hours teaching them a lot more than I ever expected to. From explosives and when was the best time to use them to how to build certain types of traps that would help in all types of environments. That wasn't all I taught them though and endeavored to pass on as much info as I possibly could to them.
For their part the Marines absorbed it with almost a greedy attitude. Everything that I talked about they started recording and made sure that they would be able to study it before. Even asked questions at the right time, except for a few times, but either way it was a near session for my first time ever teaching.
I even went over some knife forms with them towards the end. Most of them had daggers on their person already so I didn't have to pound that into their heads. They were fast learners here too. At the end of the day I was beyond happy with how they had handled everything. The only thing they didn't take to like water was Paranoia.
They understood being cautious and that was all well and good but it wasn't what you needed. What you needed as a soldier was to be paranoid and that every corner could hide a problem. It sounded stupid to them, I could tell from how they recieved the information. I gave it my best shot to tell them that it was the most important lesson though. Paranoia has and will definitely continue to save my life. If I could teach them to be properly paranoid then they would survive longer.
I decided the best way to do this would be to scare the living shit out of them whenever I had the opportunity. Something that I couldn't do at the current moment because I was training them but I remedied that. I infected one of their omni-tools with the virus I used on Numiy and would wait for them to fall asleep tonight.
At the end of the day they left and Kal came back. He asked how it went and I told him. He nodded and asked for me to come back for them tomorrow. I agreed and then left, heading back to my ship for the night. One of the docs had given me some liquor after the end of the invasive tests and I wanted to test it out.
Getting to my ship I opened the airlock and made my way inside. Only to stop when I saw Tali sitting at my dinner table helping herself to the liquor the doc had given me. I looked at her for a brief second before slowly shaking my head and heading to the bathroom. Taking off my helmet I washed away my makeup and then went to my room and changed out of my armor and into some sweats and a cut off.
After changing I made my way back out and to the kitchen to grab myself a glass. Getting it out of the cupboard I turned around to see Tali staring at me. As soon as she noticed I caught her she looked away acting a bit sheepish. I chuckled seeing that, it's not like I hadn't been doing the same thing literally hours earlier. Sitting down at the table I held out my glass to Tali, she promptly filled it.
"So Tali," I started taking a sip out of my glass. "To what do I owe the pleasure?" I gave her what I hoped was a sly smile. From the way she looked away nervously it either worked or there was an actual reason for her being her.
"Just wanted to talk," this time I caught something in her. She seemed sad or apprehensive, not nervous. She hung her head.
"What's going on Tali?" I reached over and took her hands.
"You know our project?" fuck me sideways.
"What happened?"
"I have been working on it periodically to see if I could make it compatible with regular armor… you know, as a gift… for you," she nervously and shamefully lifted her head to look me in the eyes. I held no blame towards her, I just needed to know what was going on.
"That's incredibly thoughtful Tali but what happened?"
"Admiral Gerrel."
"Which one are they?"
"The one who wants war."
"Fuck," I spoke leaning back running my augmetic hand through my hair but making sure my other hand didn't leave hers. She needed reassurance right now that I didn't blame her.
"It's okay Tali, what are the positives to this right now then?"
"I encrypted the file. Heavily."
"How long do we have before they break through it and what are they gonna do with you in the meantime?"
"When I told Admiral Gerrel I wouldn't tell him what it was, he had me suspended from duty until they find out what's on the file. At best we have a week if father can convince the other Admirals to deliberate about it, 3 days at worst if they dismiss the notion of deliberation," she took a rather large sip of her drink at that. "And I have a permanent guard, but I lost them."
"That probably wasn't the smartest idea Tali?"
"Father knows where I am."
"And now I fear for my health from your father," I joked trying to lighten the mood. Her soft laughter brought a bright smile to my face. "Speaking of your father, I assume since he'll try to stall for you that he knows what's on the file?"
"He does," she answered, nodding her head before taking another sip of her drink. "He agreed that we should keep it away from Gerrel, for all the good that did."
"Shit happens Tali. We'll deal with it. Worse comes to worse I'll deal with it," she snapped her head to me.
"Aedon! You can't kill an Admiral!"
"Calm down. Who said anything about killing him. I'll just steal the file back."
"I don't wanna talk about this anymore Aedon," Tali said, putting her head back onto her hands on the table.
"Cheer up Tali. It could be a lot worse."
"How?" she whined out.
"Trust me. The universe is funny that way."
After that we devolved into a comfortable silence as we enjoyed the company of the other. It was rather nice, the silence I mean. With how many people were on the ships of the Flotilla and how old some of their equipment was, something was always making too much noise. In my ship though it blocked out all the noise and made the night peaceful and quiet.
We would sit and drink in silence for the better part of the night. Occasionally making small talk between each other but that was rare. We both wanted silence until we just about finished the bottle of Liquor. When it did finish Tali gave out a small hiccup before standing up before walking over to my seat and putting a hand on my shoulder.
Thinking that she was silently saying goodbye I put a hand over hers squeezing it. However, she then pushed and forcibly turned the chair away from the table and facing her completely. Looking up at her confused she then sat on my lap, straddling me, and put her arms around my neck. I was completely unprepared for that. Leaning down to my face so that it was mere centimeters from her mask she spoke.
"I want to show you something Aedon." Her voice was husky and definitely tinted with alcohol. She then began to reach for her mask but I stopped her just as one of her mands touched it.
"Is it safe for you Tali?" I wanted to see her face. Of course I did but I wasn't about to let her get hurt for it. Especially when she's been drinking.
"I'll be fine Aedon," and then she took off her mask.
Now, in the original Mass Effect when she gives you a picture of her without the mask it's a cropped picture from the internet. They got some massive shit for that and in the Legendary edition it's better but absolutely nothing compared to the real thing.
Tali was absolutely stunning. Like the type of beauty that you would expect from the likes of Cleopatra. Words like breathtaking, gorgeous, beautiful and mesmerizing all came to mind as I looked at her face but all seemed to fall short in describing her, I was stunned speechless. Upon seeing my face she smiled and her already beautiful face became even more so.
Though when she smiled I noticed something that piqued my interest. Her teeth, incisors specifically, were a lot longer than humans. Not so much that they were what you would see with fantasy type vampires but they were far longer than normal. If anything else though they increased her beauty giving her a dangerous edge to her.
"See something you like," she purred, creeping closer to my face. Not trusting my voice I nodded in affirmation.
"Good," and then she leaned closer and pressed her lips to mine.*
I was shocked for all of a second with my mind going haywire over the possible consequences of this but then she bit my lip. That got my engine going and all thoughts of the consequences flew out the window. Throwing myself into the kiss I pulled her closer and she smiled into the kiss! She knew exactly what she was doing, what the hell.
Deciding to turn the tables I reached under her grabbing her ass and stood up hoisting her up with me. As I stood up she gave a small squeal of shock before locking her legs around my waist and deepening the kiss. Pinning her against the wall I took control of our connection to ravish her mouth and make it clear I wasn't about to be pushed around by her.
After almost a minute of having her pinned against the wall I turned towards the table. Depositing her on the edge I used my, now superior*, height to take control. Returning the favor she paid to me I softly bit her lip and gave it a small pull towards me.
As I softly pulled on her lip and finally let go she let out a small gasp. Looking down at her slightly frazzled face I gave her a smile that lasted all of a second before she grabbed my hair and brought me back down to her trying to take control. I wasn't about to take that lying down though and snaked my hand around her neck and started to squeeze*. She seemed to enjoy that a lot.
And so it went for I don't know how long. One teasing the other while the other would fight back but I know one thing for sure. When it ended it was far too soon for my liking.
Pulling away one last time she gently held me away from her as she sat on the table looking thoroughly frazzled this time around. She then grabbed the collar of my shirt and pulled us close before giving me a gentle kiss. Knowing that for the signal that we were done for now I backed up and let her get down from the table. She grabbed her mask and put it on quickly before sitting down in her seat again. I followed suit and got back into mine; my engine still thoroughly running.
"So… Um… Where the fuck did that come from?" I asked, still trying to wrap this around my head.
"It's not like you to ask stupid questions Aedon."
"... Fair. Aren't you at risk though?"
"Didn't stop you."
"Again fair but I don't remember you deciding to take stupid risks."
"Touche… I hacked the doctor's data."
"And?"
"I may or may not have stolen one of their immunization boosters. Plus from their notes your immune system won't affect me. I can do whatever I want with you," she smiled again at me again and oh my was she dangerous with it.
"Is there anything else?" I asked curious.
"Nothing for now… Just know I want more," she gave me a knowing look and for the first time in my life it felt weird to actually be on the defensive. So I tried to go on the offensive.
"Oh, Tali… you have no idea the type of game you're playing with me right now." Her immediate answer to my statement was to stand up from her sitting position and drag a finger across my chin.
Now, I don't know if you've ever been in that position or if your tastes are the same but a woman doing that is something you dream of, especially from a dominant woman. My engine was not only started and revving but was ready for a cross country battle with this woman. It was the first time in a long time that I had met a dom woman. I made to get up to return the favor but she shook her head.
"Not tonight. Consider this a punishment for not messaging me for two months and for beating me in our games," I opened my mouth to retort but stopped. She had a point and if that was how she wanted to play it then the games will be played.
"That's fine, we'll have plenty of time later. Right now I think we should both go to bed."
"I agree. See you later Aedon."
"Have a good night Tali," I contemplated telling her my real name as she sashayed her way out the ship. I really did, but I wasn't about to make a decision like that while my dick was the one at the wheel.
As soon as she left the ship I took a deep breath and quietly went over everything that just transpired. From exactly what Tali did to what she told me. I had been as woefully underprepared for that more than anything in my life. That shit came out of nowhere. Where was the shy Tali too, guess that went out the window when she wanted something.
I'm too tired for this.
The next morning I awoke to a message from Tali informing me that her pops had been successful in making the Admirals deliberate about the file. When I found that out I started doing research when I could on Admiral Gerrel. Where he went, who he was around and where he put the file.
Essentially when I wasn't with Kal helping to train the recruits, which had been going amazingly, I was stalking the Admiral. It paid dividends to because on the 3rd day I saw him access the file in one of the labs. Or at least I assumed he did. He went into a room that was LOCKED DOWN with security. Multiple verification to get in; voice, omni-tool ID, hand scan, and then a 12 digit code. I wasn't getting in there.
There was no way I was getting into the room. If I had Kasumi with me I believe that I would be able to do it. She knows that stuff and how to get around them but it wasn't my area and I didn't have the time to learn. If I wanted that out of their hands I would have to blow my way in there. Not a particularly good idea.
Other possible ways to get in had been on my mind since I saw him enter the room. It was the 5th day now and I was currently with the recruits going over basic hand signals. We had just finished going over how to properly breach a room so I messed up a bit as a Teacher. Should've gone with the hand signals first.
Either way we were working on it now and then we'd go through Breaching again. It wouldn't take long for them to pick up the signals, it was easy work. So after just a few scant minutes on the signals we went back to breaching. Well, we would've if Kal didn't comm the kids.
Walking away from them so there Sgt could talk to them, he was with his CO, I stopped as Tali's name popped up. Answering the call my paranoia was immediately acting up as I looked at her. Something was definitely wrong.
"Tali. Wha-"
That's as far as I got before everything went to shit. The far side of the walls from us got punctured by something. I couldn't tell what they were but from the brief look I got they looked like some type of boarding torpedoes. Mere seconds later all the lights in the area went out and we were plunged into total darkness.
Deciding not to waste another second I connected myself to Kal's comms and told him to get his men ready. I would act as interference for whatever came through. He gave me the affirmative and told me to do as I pleased. Moments later something was shot out of where the 'boarding torpedoes' came from. I didn't know what they were until, thanks to Sam, I recognized the cylindrical shape.
They were flashbangs and the world went white.
*POV: Garrus Vakarian
Omega was the definition of a cesspool. Every step I took her made me angrier and angrier at seeing what was blatantly allowed to happen in this place. The rape, the muggins, the murders, the trafficking, both sex and drug. This place needed someone willing to shape it into a better place for the average citizen.
I had first come to Omega to try and make a new name for myself. Try and start over, maybe actually help people like I did when I was with Shepard instead of stuck behind the red tape like I was at C-Sec. Now, though that original goal hasn't changed it has expanded. I wanted to create a better place for Omega citizens to live.
That started almost a month ago and now I had a full team with me. We all saw the same thing and we wanted to change it. Helped that all of them were ex military and most were spec ops guys. There were times where it honestly felt like I was back on the Normandy. Now, it was just about figuring out how to actually go about the change we wanted.
Every time we hit an area they would just rebuild it in days. Every time we took out a dealer they would just be replaced. It didn't help that we were barely helping the people in general but we were helping them. The streets had gotten quietly safer for them to walk around on.
There just seemed to be no end of the criminals supply lines. No level they wouldn't stoop towards. It was infuriating and we just couldn't figure out a way to actually make a difference. At least Nyreen has been helping us locate people to hit. Other than that we haven't done much of note.
I got a feeling in my gut that will change soon enough though. Just hope its soon. This place needs more.
There ya go folks. Hope you enjoyed! Don't forget to review, helps me get better.
1*: They are both Tops… if you don't know what that is PM me and I'll let you know or ask a friend.
2*: Wynne is in fact shorter than Tali. She's 6'3, he's 6'1. He will in fact be the shortest person within Shepard's group until Jack comes along.
