Here y'all go folks. ENJOY and don't forget to review

When Liara asked me to write this chapter the first time I politely declined. The second time I was blunt about it and the third time I just told her to fuck off. Then she asked my wife and was promptly slapped across the face. She left us alone for a good bit after that and didn't ask about one of us writing the chapter for a couple years. Then she did it again. Again I said no but she kept badgering me until I finally broke and decided to write this chapter.

Now, I thought long and hard about how to write this chapter and have decided to start it off with a saying my dad told me when my sister was born. He looked me dead in the eyes and said that nothing in this universe is more dangerous than a father with nothing to lose. For over two decades I had no idea what he meant.

Then it happened. I don't want to write about it, I don't want to think about it. I want nothing to do with that day but it happened. It resulted in Wynne tearing a bloody one-man rampage across all of Omega. His actions earned him the name Red Eyes and the fear of every biotic across the known galaxy.

So without further ado. This is the story of Red Eyes: The Champion and Marauder of Omega.

POV: TRed Eyes

It's only been a week since we took out the small time slaver who planned on hitting us. IN that time nothing has really happened. Just a few people I sent out on missions and most were just scouting or taking out dealers. Though, I did send Vrul and his squad to a particularly nasty vendor who was using females to traffic out shit to the Council space.

Normally, I wouldn't give a damn about that but then Nyreen got reliable intel that he was trafficking the hybrid drug, still hadn't come up with a name for it. Either way once I got wind of that information I sent Vrul and his boys out. Told them that they were allowed to do whatever they pleased as long as there was no raping or unnecessary torture.

It was first time as their official commander and I wanted to see how he would do. I had Ilok follow them from a distance to watch him. As it turned out Vrul was more than just a competent leader in combat. He was excellent; got a glowing review from Ilok for how he handled everything. As it was though he struggled a bit with everything that came after combat.

According to Ilok he just didn't really know how to end an operation and exit in a good manner. Eventually he decided on just torching the place and being done with it. It wasn't the best idea since after they set it on fire the place exploded mere moments after they had gotten out of there. No one from his group was killed but three of the eight were still in the medical center being treated for burns and shrapnel.

It could have and frankly should've been a lot worse. Still, it was his first time leading and he had been effective while in combat. As for what happened afterwards it told me that he still wasn't ready to be purely alone in that respect. I'll have him be under either Kelli or myself in the future for missions. Until he learns more about everything else; shouldn't take all that long.

Other than that, I met with Mordin yesterday. He put me through some tests with my arm and drew some blood. It was there that I informed him of my ability to consume both dextro and amino based foods. He seemed more interested in that than my augmetic arm but for that day he focused on the arm. Told me that he would have a more conclusive theory from the tests within a couple of days. Though, after our tests I had developed my own little theory for what my arm did. I'd have to ask him about it next time we do tests.

That's really been about it for the past week. Though I have made sure the girl spends a bit more time with the other orphans at the orphanage. It's good for her to have friends.

As for right now I was sitting with Nyreen and Garrus in the meeting room. We had just finished our bi-weekly session of updates on everything that had been going on. Garrus didn't really have anything to report for the homefront. Everything had been going as smoothly as it could be on Omega. As for Nyreen her people had found another Lab for the drug.

This one had all the makings of being a fortified base. Over 100 guards all over the place and we hadn't been able to get anyone on the inside so we couldn't confirm anything beyond the guards. That was just from watching the people coming and going too, Samuel had taken that job.

All in all we were in the process of forming a plan on how to take care of the base. The plus side was that the building itself was old and they looked to be trying to retrofit it back to a true base that would become a fortress. Which meant that they were still in the early stages of doing so.

When that came up from Nyreen's brief about the place a plan was quickly formed with how to deal with the place. Not the best one in the world in my opinion but that was because it would leave my squad without any support on the inside but it is what it is.

The plan was this. Garrus and Nyreen would lead an assault on the front of the base in a basic pincer maneuver with about 120 of our own. All 50 from my group except for myself and my personal squad, the Reavers, and Sidonis as he was on a mission for Nyreen. 20 of Nyreen's group and then 50 from Garrus'. While they were at the front of the base my squad would go in quietly from the back.

We would all have explosives and plant them on the supports at the bottom of the base as quietly as we could. Once we did that we would bug out of the base and blow the charges bringing down the building and burying the lab. Once that was done the assault force would conduct a fighting retreat.

It was a good plan even if it did leave my squad hanging out to dry if something went wrong. We were the best for a reason and we were going to prove it again with this operation. As it was we would be hitting the place tomorrow at around 1515*. According to Samuel that's when they were just about to change shifts as guards and would have the most people outside of the base. A perfect time for a quiet insertion for my squad.

With the plan and the time of attack figured out I left the room and called Kelli. Told her to meet me at the orphanage so I could tell her the plan in person as I picked up the girl. A few minutes later I was standing outside the orphanage and the girl came out. With her was another little girl, one of the Asari that had been with her when we found them.

"Dad! Can Shily sleep over," I looked at the little Asari girl who was in the process of giving me the puppy dog eyes. Looking back at the girl she too was giving me puppy dog eyes. Like I could say no to that.

"Of course," I responded getting giant grins from both the little girls. The girl shot forward after a second and hugged my leg.

"Thank you dad," she said smiling as she looked up at me. I reached down and ruffled her head.

"AWWW!" I heard Kelli before I saw her. She proceeded to scoop up Shily who didn't resist at all. Then Girl joined her and hugged Kelli's leg, the same as she had done to mine.

"Auntie Kelli," they both squeaked out as Kelli hugged them both and proceeded to play a little bit with them. I let it go on for a few minutes before I stopped it.

"Okay girls. I gotta talk to Kelli real quick, after that we can go home," I said, catching their attention. They both detached themselves from Kelli and gave us a bit of space so I could privately talk to Kelli.

"What's up boss?"

"Nyreen found another lab. Good thing is it's old and under a bit of construction."

"What's the plan?"

"Garrus and Nyreen will lead an assault. The squad will go in the back once they start their assault and plant explosives on the building's supports before bugging out and blowing the charges. Once we've accomplished that our job is done."

"Composition?"

"All the Hitters. 20 of Nyreens and 50 of the Security guys. Get the men informed and ready. Garrus and Nyreen will be sending out the brief and who's leading what through messengers in the next couple of hours."

"I'm your messenger for the Squad then?"

"Got it in one."

"What time is the operation?"

"Tomorrow at 1515," she gave me a curious look at the time. "It's just before they change shifts and it'll have most of the guards outside, less opposition for us on the inside."

"Alright. I'll let the others know. You gonna give us an official brief?"

"Tomorrow morning at 0700, my place."

She didn't respond to that and simply nodded before walking off. Though not before saying goodbye to the girls who had been patiently waiting for us to be done. They said goodbye back to Kelli before they walked back to me.

Silently I ushered them to follow along and we made our way back to my apartment. Girl and Shily talked between each other the whole way to the apartment and it was endearing to hear them talk so animatedly. From where they had been mere months ago and barely uttering a single word between the whole group they were now good enough to talk and have fun.

That right there was when I truly saw that I was making a difference with the people here. I know I had been and had seen it but to hear them talk just warmed my heart. I never knew that being a father would be so rewarding.

The girls had a good time that night. Talked a bunch, played with each other, devoured the food I made and then knocked out in each others arms on the couch while they watched a movie. When I saw them huddled together on the couch my heart almost melted. As it was I simply put a blanket over them and kissed Girl's forehead before going to sleep myself.

The next morning while I made breakfast for the girls and myself Kelli, Samuel and Ilok came over for their official debrief from me for our mission. We'd be leaving the area around noon to get a floor above the Lab that we were going to attack. From there we'd get above them and rappel down about a mile from the Lab before making our way to the back of it.

Once we were close enough to touch the back entrance without being seen we would sit and wait for the signal from Garrus. The signal being one long click over the radio. That was our plan and we would be sticking to it.

At the end of my brief with them they left to get their gear and be ready. Once they left I got my gear and began to clean it for a little bit. Once I was satisfied with its state I packed up and got ready to leave. However, before I left I said goodbye to the girls and asked what they would be doing for the day. They told me that they would be staying in and watching movies, they didn't want to go out without me which was understandable.

With that done I left with all my gear and found my squad near one of the shuttle air cars waiting for me. Once I arrived we all piled in and made our way to our destination. About 20 minutes later Samuel parked the car in an alley on the floor where we needed to be. Samuel pocketed the keys deciding to come back at a later date to get the car.

Once we were out of the car we silently made our way to where we would rappel down. Making sure that no one saw us we silently made our way to the rappel point. About 30 minutes after we left the car we would get there. Ilok then pulled out his rope and set up the rappel.

Once the rope was set up I grabbed it and went down first. It was a long way down and took me almost a minute of a controlled fall to finally reach the ground. Giving the rope a good tug Kelli came down next and after her Samuel and finally Ilok. Once everyone was on the ground we made our way to the Lab at a slow pace.

We didn't want to get spotted from a far at any point in time. Eventually though we made it to our mission point. About 200 feet or so from the back wall of the base and waited for the signal from Garrus. However, as I tried to listen to the radio for the signal as the time approached all I got was static.

It wasn't hard to figure out that our comms were being jammed. Sighing I just decided to wait it out. If Garrus didn't know about the comms already he would know soon enough so it would be better for us to wait. Besides, it wasn't like two forces of 100 plus fighting wouldn't make a lot of noise with the gunfire.

It turns out I was right too. Garrus' signal never came through the radio but the noise from the firing of a 100 plus guns was an obvious signal for us. Getting out of cover we made our way to the wall.

Once we were at the wall we made quick work of it and scaled over with the help of everyone working together. With that part done we slowly made our way to the back entrance of the Lab. Reaching it I hit my pulse and saw a few signatures near the door.

Looking to my squad I tapped my head twice with a closed fist but my thumb up. Nodding they stacked up at the door and quietly waited for the door to open. It did mere seconds later when I bypassed its laughable security and hacked it open. Once it was open we stormed into the room to the surprise of the guards in there.

Being close enough to them that they couldn't do much more than look surprised we engaged in a melee. The closest one to me, a Turian in Blue Suns gear, went down after a slap to the head and a knife to his throat. Kelli took care of hers with a biotic Warp eviscerating the Batarian. Ilok and Samuel each took out their targets by breaking their necks after a pathetically short scuffle.

I don't know why but after we cleared that room my paranoia started going into overdrive. Not one to overlook my instincts as they had saved me before we proceeded out of the room with caution.

Not seeing anyone in the hallway we silently made our way to the stairs without any trouble from more soldiers. Getting to the stairs we walked down them and just before the turn I hit my pulse again. Surprisingly there was only three return signatures. I know we had timed it right but this was ridiculous, we should've gotten more interference. That fact did not help my paranoia.

Pushing onward I turned the corner and fired off a shot at the closest soldier. He dropped from the signal bullet to the head and the other two followed suit quickly. I got one of the two and Kelli got the third. The others hadn't even gotten around the corner before the fight had ended.

None of them even had shields? This was starting to get concerning, at least one of them should've had shields. To not have shields when your protecting a building that could be collapsed just didn't make sense. I know they didn't have many that actually had shields but not only were they protecting a building that could collapse at any point without their guarding of it but this was meant to be another Lab for the drug. Everyone here should have shields.

Pushing it to the side I went down to where the soldiers had been. I began looking around for what could be the lab and found nothing. Hitting the pulse I got a singular hit from behind what looked to be a steel wall. Walking up to the wall I activated my omni-tool and realized that it was a hidden entrance, smart.

Giving the signal to the others again I hacked the door open and we all went inside. However, when we got inside we all stopped in our tracks. Sitting in the middle of the room was Sidonis strapped to a chair and he looked like he had been beaten to hell. Clearing the room just in case I walked up to him after that had been done.

Kneeling in front of Sidonis I lifted his chin up and tried to wake him up. He was unresponsive for a few moments before he let out a cough and opened his one good eye. Staring at me with his eye he was silent for a few moments before he let out a choked sob.

"I'm sorry," he choked out.

"What for?" I asked and if my paranoia was in overdrive before it was in certified hyperdrive now.

"I t-told them everything," he let out a shuddering breath and I could see the wounds they had given to him. He wouldn't last much longer if he didn't get medical attention. Attention we didn't have anywhere near enough to help him survive.

"What did you tell them Sidonis?" at that his head began to loll around. I shook the man to try and keep him awake. "Hey now, I need you awake. What did you tell them Sidonis?"

"Everything… h-how to get," he let out a coughing fit and I could hear it in his cough that blood was beginning to fill his lungs. "G-get passed our security. To get to everyone. That… that's what they wanted."

"Who Sidonis? Who?" I demanded shaking him again as he began to lose consciousness.

"Jaroth, Tarak, Garm," that was all Sidonis was able to get out be his head fell forward in silence. I checked for a pulse but found none.

"Plant the charges now. We're bugging out," I didn't even turn around when I talked to the squad but from the shuffle of feet I knew that they had listened to my order.

I stayed with Sidonis' body and slowly cut the binding on him off. Once I got the final binding off his body slumped forward lifelessly. Grabbing the body I heaved it over my shoulder and went to the stairs waiting for the others. A minute or so later everyone was with me.

With everyone with me be bugged out the way we came but instead of going back to the rope we went around the side intent on rendezvousing with Garrus. As soon as we were close enough to Garrus I hit the detonator and the building collapsed in on itself. Once the building went down we sprinted over to where Garrus was running through fire to get to him.

He looked surprised as all hell to see us but one look at the body on my back and seemed to get an idea of what was going on. He immediately ordered the retreat and we went with him. Sprinting back to where the cars were that his group used to get there we all piled it.

"Why is Sidonis' body on your shoulder Wynne?"

"He was captured and tortured. He broke Garrus, we need to get back," Garrus didn't even hesitate. He stormed the front of the car and gave a hasty message over the radio saying he was taking off immediately before he grabbed the controls and we were off.

He went through traffic like an absolute madman and I stood in the back having laid Sidonis' body down. I stood near the exit looking at the door just waiting for it to open. I didn't have to wait long as it began to open as we approached our base. I got one look outside and I was not happy.

There were bodies strewn everywhere. Eclipse, Blue Sun, Blood Pack; the big three mercenary groups we had been fucking up and their bodies were everywhere but we had bodies too. To many to accurately count as we flew over the base but I could tell that no one was spared. Civilian and soldier alike.

Then the more we traveled into the base I heard fighting. Garrus barely slowed down as he put the air car down hard. He gave us just enough warning to brace.

Sliding on the ground in the air car I jumped out as it continued to slide rolling when I hit the ground to dissipate the damage. Getting up I sprinted towards where the fighting was and found about 15 of the mercenaries shooting at a group of civilians and two of our soldiers who were behind cover.

Not even bothering for subtlety I grabbed three grenades off my bandolier and threw them into the midst of the mercenaries. The grenades went off perfectly and eviscerated most of the mercs in a shower of blood and gore. Sprinting at the group of remaining mercenaries, five of them, I fired off shot after shot shattering all their shields in quick succession before I reached them.

Three of them went down from more fire from the soldiers in cover. The final two got personally attached to my knife when it went through their brains. Once the fight was over I stormed over to the soldiers in cover.

"Report," I demanded in front of their cover.

"We've been hit hard. I don't know how many are still out there. We protected who we could," the human soldier responded instantly, Kyle was his name if I remember correctly.

"Okay. Stay with the civilians. We'll be sorting this out soon enough."

And sort it out I would. The next hour or so I went from group to group mostly on my own. My Squad had went with Garrus to do what they needed elsewhere. I was hellbent on fucking up as many as I could.

In that hour I was fighting I ran into a total of 50 mercenaries. Usually in groups of 10 or 15 but no matter their numbers, whether they had support or not, I was a hurricane of death on the field and couldn't be stopped.

No matter if they knew of my presence before I hit or didn't they all died by my hand. 50 mercenaries in an hour all done by me alone. They were on my home turf and I knew this place like the back of my hand. Not only that but for the first time in a while I was angry. We had built this place up from nothing. I would be damned if they were going to destroy it. No way, no fucking how.

It got to a point while in my fight that when the mercenaries spotted me they would be visibly frightened. One of the last groups had a couple throw down their weapons in surrender after I killed their comrades. For those that gave up I gave no mercy. I put them down like the dogs that they were with extreme prejudice. The gall of them thinking they could hit my people and think that they would be allowed to live even if they surrendered.

Eventually though there were no more mercenaries to fight. I couldn't find any and my radio blared back to life and Garrus' voice came over the radio.

"Mercenary forces are retreating. Take stock and help who you. Don't worry, we'll settle this soon enough," a couple of seconds later Garrus commed me on my private channel.

"Get to the orphanage."

I went to respond but he cut his mic and that was it. Seeing no other options I made my way to the orphanage. Getting there though I saw my Squad and Garrus standing on the outside of it with eyes full of sadness. Quickening my pace I ran up to them and took one look at the bodies in the area, recognizing them as the soldiers who guarded the orphanage and even a few of their caretakers.

Garrus made to stop me as I barged past him to the entrance of the orphanage but I violently shook myself away from him. Reaching the door my hand stopped at the entrance for a moment. Steeling myself I opened it and froze.

In front of me were dozens of bodies. Some mercenary bodies, some bodies of the Vorcha who were the orphanages guards, and some caretakers but most were the children. The mercenaries had come into our home. Hit our people and had the personalities to kill children. I was absolutely enraged but when I took a step inside too I noticed more. Running up to one of the children I noticed what had happened to her before a bullet was put in her head.

If I was enraged before what I was now was something that couldn't be comprehended beyond righteous fury. They had raped children. CHILDREN! Children under my care! Who had called me Uncle Wynne! Who trusted me to keep them safe! To give them a new life! THIS WILL NOT STAND!

Storming out of the orphanage I stopped and had a horrifying thought, my anger gone in an instant. Sidonis said he told them everything… Did everything mean the girl?

I didn't want to wait to find out and took off running to my apartment. Jumping over dead bodies and barreling past those who got in my way I made my way to my apartment. As I arrived at the apartment I stopped dead in my tracks. My door was broken open.

Fear drifting into me I slowly inched my way inside. My place was torn apart, furniture thrown everywhere and there was even blood on the floor but no bodies. None at all, as I continued to search I heard the faint whisper of a whimper. Looking around and not finding anything I took off my mask and called out.

"Girl? Shily? It's me, where are you?" A mere second after I called out the vent burst open and Shily crawled out crying as she ran over to me and jumped into my arms continuing to cry.

She stayed in my arms for a few minus continually crying. When she finally stopped crying I gently put her down on the couch and kneeled in front of her.

"Shily. What happened to Girl?"

"T-T-t," she was starting to cry again.

"Sho-sho. It's okay. You're safe, take a deep breath and answer when you can," I wasn't starting to get impatient but this was a child I wasn't going to do anything rash to her. Either way she got herself under control quickly.

"They took her."

"Who?"

"Blue, Yellow… Red."

"Batarian, Salarian, Krogan?" I asked and she nodded her head. Tarak, Jaroth, and Garm. My new targets. "Shily, I need you to do something for me. I need you to go to Garrus and tell him I'll be back. Can you do that?"

"Y-Yes."

"Good. Get going. It's safe now."

She nodded her head and left and I watched her leave. As she left I recognized the feeling I was having now. It wasn't the righteous fury from earlier, I wasn't enraged. It was WRATH. But wrath is not an emotional rage, no matter the extreme. Wrath is the cold rage, where you are so angry that everything becomes clear. Wrath is power and they took my daughter. They will feel my wrath.

With that I left and made my way to the hanger. I had to grab something real quick before I could get to work. Before I did that though I activated my omni-tool.

"I know you're there. I'm calling in my favor," I knew it was the emotional thing to do and could have big consequences later on but I didn't give a damn. They had my daughter and no one was leaving until I had her back.

What do you need?

My smile became vicious.

POV: Garrus Vakarian.

It's been about five hours since this whole shit show started. When we arrived Wynne had jumped out early and left his squad and myself behind. He then proceeded to cut a bloody swath through the mercenaries. It was actually impressive, even with the absolute brutality he exercised on the mercenaries. They deserved it all.

Not only that though but Wynne was now gone. No one knew where he was or what had happened to him. Kelli had a good idea and had went to his apartment to confirm it but ran into a child who said they needed to talk to me. Shily, was her name, she simply told me that Wynne wanted me to know that he would be back.

I wanted to head back out and kill all the mercenaries but I had to lead the group and that's what I had been doing. We were already done with cleaning up the bodies. Construction to repair everything would begin tomorrow. As for right now though I sat in my apartment with a drink in my hand and Nyreen sitting across from me. She didn't have a glass, she was holding the bottle.

"What a fucking mess," she grumbled out.

"We can't let this stand. We need to show the people we won't just take this."

"Oh I fucking agree. We need to plan though and focus here first. We can't get emotional at this stage."

"I think we need to hit them hard and soon. No exceptions, no one left and we get those that they took back."

"Again, I agree but we can't blindly rush in. That'll just get our people killed."

"How long?" I ground out staring at her. She silently reached out with her hand and took mine.

"Soon but we need to recover."

"I want your agents working overtime."

"They already are."

"Good." There was a brief lull between us as we each took swigs of our drinks. "Where do you think Wynne is?"

"Honestly I don't know. He pillaged all my reports before he left so he knows every little pirate and mercenary base, hideout, lab, what have you out here on Omega. Though something's been bothering me."

"What?"

"No one's left Omega. All traffic stopped just around the time you said he went to his apartment."

"So?"

"Garrus, no one's left. No one has even left the hangers. Something is going on and I don't like it."

"Well how bad could it get?" It seemed the universe just had to answer me. As soon as the words were out of my mouth someone began pounding on our door. Opening it Kelli was standing there looking scared to death.

"What is it Kelli?" Kelli took a couple deep breaths before composing herself.

"The entire Geth armada is here and they've surrounded Omega and the Relay," the utter silence that followed that sentence was profoundly deafening.

"What?"

*POV: Esario T'Mex

Today had been a good day. We finally got to fuck those fucking retards who thought they could change Omega. Omega doesn't change fuckers, it never does and never will. They learned their fucking leason when we hit them on their own turf. Fucking retards.

When it was all said and done though we lost a good chunk of our people. Doesn't matter though, if they were took we to survive that they were never cut out for this business anyways. Either way we were all now at our barm, The Thirsty Woman. Stupid ass fucking name.

"Where the fuck is the rest of the beer!" our current drunken Batarian screamed out.

"You drank it all you dumb bastard," I shouted back at him.

"Well Fuck you Bitch!" he yelled back throwing his glass to the :)ground shattering it. He then started walking over to me. If this fucker wanted to fight then I would give him one. Before I could get up though the entirety of the bar's lights went out.

"What the Fuck Dennis?" I screamed out at the man. Dennis was the owner of this bar. However, Dennis didn't respond.

There was then a hissing as the front door to the bar opened. It was equally pitch black outside the bar as it was inside except for the three lights. Two looked like blood red eyes and never in my life have I felt the amount of fear I felt when I looked at those eyes. The malice, contempt, and pure RAGE radiating from the eyes was something that had me frozen where I stood. It was like staring into the pure abyss of danger and death.

However, the third light was the most concerning. The flame flickered as it stood a foot or soo in front of the eyes. I couldn't tell exactly what it was but I was scared.

"The fuck do you want?" one of my comrades spoke out finally getting their voice.

"Nothing from you," came the thing's voice and it was so cold. So distant that everything about it scared the shit out of me. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw one of my Asari sisters activate her biotics and fire a Warp at the voice. Only for a hand to shoot out from the darkness and stop the Warp dead in its tracks upon impact.

"Thank you for confirming my theory."

Before any one of us could respond to his words the flickering flame ROARED and we were engulfed in flames.

Hans, get the Flammenwerfer.

RED EYES: arrived.

:)
