When Nathan realized who his guest was, the instincts that he honed through training screamed at him to run. It took all of him just to stay still, and his hand was shaking as he headed for his parents.

Nathan's throat went dry as he opened his mouth for a greeting. "Good morning, Maou Beelzebub.

"Yes, you too, Sekirai Agares."

'What the hell is he here for? I'm pretty sure I didn't commit a crime…', as Nathan racked his head for an answer, he came to a realization.

"Are you here for the Evil Piece ceremony, Lord Beelzebub?"

Ajuka hummed positively, confirming the purpose of his visit. He then said, "Well, I won't keep you for long. We'll teleport to my lab and do the ceremony there, in case of any accidents."

Nathan nodded, "Okay. Let's do it now, if that's possible."

Ajuka beckoned Nathan to get close to him, "In that case, let us go now."

The moment Nathan got close to Ajuka, a blue magic circle was created underneath both of them, and a moment later, Nathan was introduced to his new environment- a lab.

Ajuka then walked over to a cabinet of some kind, and he proceeded to pull out a box. A transparent box.

Upon closer inspection, Nathan realized that it was a chess set that was inside of the box, and his excitement grew as Ajuka brought it closer to him, step by step.

"Take this and channel your demonic energy into it. Then, it'll be officially yours.", Ajuka handed Nathan the box and gave him instructions, which Nathan gladly followed.

Nathan channeled his demonic energy- tainting the formerly white chess pieces with a deep red color.

As the energy dispersed, Nathan took in his Evil Pieces' appearances.

Most of them turned deep red, following the color of his demonic energy. The other ones, specifically two, turned pitch black.

Nathan turned to Ajuka, about to ask his question about the different colors of the pieces, before he noticed Ajuka's impressed look.

"You're lucky.", Ajuka simply said to Nathan, before explaining, "The pitch black pieces are special pieces- Mutation Pieces. Only 1 in 10 devils have them, and even then, most only have one."

Ajuka continued explaining as he examined the pitch-black pieces with his eyes, "Mutation Pieces, as the name suggests, is a bug that I kept in the system just for fun. With it, rather than using multiple pieces to reincarnate someone, you only need to use one of them."

"I see…", Nathan muttered as his gaze focused on the two special pieces in his chess set. Specifically, the Queen and Rook pieces.

"Well, that's all you needed to do. I can teleport you back to your home, if you wish."

"I'd appreciate that. Thank you for this, Lord Beelzebub."

"It's nothing."

Ajuka then proceeded to create a magic circle, the same one as earlier, Nathan observed, to teleport Nathan back to his home.

Nathan arrived in the same place as he left- the living room, where his parents were also waiting for him.

"How'd it go?", Sekezer asked Nathan, to which he replied, "Fine."

"No, I meant; did you get a Mutation Piece?"

Nathan half-heartedly corrected him, "Pieces. I got two."

Sekezer whistled with an impressed look, "You sure are lucky."

"That's what he said. Maou Beelzebub, I mean. I'm gonna go train with Balher.", Nathan announced his departure as he left the living room, heading for another area of the mansion.

"Alright. See you at dinner. Make sure you don't get hurt too badly."

Nathan left the living room and headed for the servants' quarter, where Balher lived.

When he arrived in front of Balher's room, he knocked on the door before entering.

Balher, as Nathan expected, was sleeping.

Nathan turned on the light, waking Balher, who yawned as he sat up.

"Why the f*ck did you wake me up?!", Balher very calmly asked Nathan, who replied.

"Let's train."

"GET BACK HERE YOU B*TCH!", Balher calmly said colorful words as he chased after Nathan, who continued his journey into the forest, using unfortunate trees as his shield.

Nathan looked over his shoulder, only to duck as a flying tree smashed into the tree in front of him, forcing him to change his direction.

'He's gonna catch up with me soon.', as Nathan stated the obvious, he started making a plan in his head.

'With the momentum that he's gathered up, it'll be hard for him to stop with a sudden change in direction if he doesn't expect it…'

Nathan hurriedly decided on a plan, being rushed by the trees flying at him, courtesy of a certain Rook chasing after him.

Nathan kicked the ground, giving him a short burst of speed, one that forced Balher to accelerate to chase after him.

Nathan then proceeded to repeat the same process several time, gathering more and more speed, forcing Balher to go faster and faster, and eventually, Nathan decided to follow his plan when he decided Balher was fast enough.

Nathan looked around, noting that they were near the edge of a cliff, and he smiled. This was perfect for his plan.

Nathan started slowing down, in order for him to catch himself, instead of falling off a cliff, something that Balher had no intentions to do, as he smiled when he saw Nathan slowing down, "You out of stamina? Good!"

Nathan thought amusedly, 'I hope he won't hold a grudge for this… nah, he definitely will.'

Balher accelerated even more, and when Nathan turned back, all he could see was a blur charging at him rapidly.

Nathan got into a stance in order to lower Balher's already small amount of caution, and Balher proceeded to pull his fist back to wind up for a punch. A very hard punch.

That is, if Nathan got hit.

As Balher approached Nathan, Balher's fist was heading for Nathan's head, who… got out of his stance and side stepped calmly.

Caught off guard by Nathan's actions, Balher tried to change his direction, only to find out that he couldn't- he was heading straight for the cliff.

Balher gritted his teeth and stomped on the ground in order to try and stop his imminent fall, but the word imminent has its meaning for a reason.

Balher skidded along the ground, and he fell off the cliff.

Nathan turned to him and smiled, waving before he started walking back to the Agares mansion.

"Have a good night. I know I will."

The response that Nathan got was a scream full of frustration- one that must've echoed throughout the Agares territory.

"Thank you for the meal.", Nathan said as he stood up and left the dining room.

'Now… it's time for me to create a list of possible peerage members.', Nathan thought about his next steps before pausing, 'F*ck… I can't remember anyone outside of the main plot…'

Nathan's memories about DxD were already fading after a year.

'Sh*t…'

Nathan took a deep breath, and started racking his brain for answers. People.

'Let's start with the Longinus wielders. Issei Hyoudou, Vali Lucifer, Tobio Ikuse, Valerie Tepes, Cao Cao and the Hero Faction… that's about all I can remember? Seriously?'

Nathan realized that the number of Longinus wielders he remembered from the original DxD was limited. Extremely limited.

'... There should be more.', Nathan thought with a troubled face, '... Right. Sacred Gears can evolve into a Longinus depending on the user… I think that's how Gasper did it, at least.'

Now that Nathan created the list of Longinus wielders (ones that he remembers, he started pulling information from his brain to put together a list of candidates.

The first name that popped up was, 'Ingvild Leviathan…'

'If I remember correctly,… her Sacred Gear can control dragons? That'll be very useful in the future…'

That was one candidate down. Onto the next.

'Valerie Tepes would be useful as well… A subspecies Longinus; she has the ability to summon and control souls. AND she could also remove the weaknesses of a creature as much as possible… I can get rid of my weakness to light.'

The more Nathan thought about Valerie Tepes, the more he realized that she was the perfect candidate for his peerage. Perhaps even more than Ingvild, who has the ability to control dragons.

'Well, we'll see, won't we?', Nathan sighed as he stood up from his table, turning off the lights and jumping on the bed.

'I'll need a good sleep because after all… I'm going to the human world tomorrow.'

A/N: At one point I said that I would do weapons for Nathan within 5 chapters, but that was a lie. I'm gonna focus on the other aspects of his life.
