And off we go folks. Don't forget to review.

*POV: AeTorchbearer*

I laughed at Miranda and Kasumi at their distress from Shepards driving. A few minutes later as we drove together to the main installation of this base I was reminded that I wasn't immune to it either. The stomach churning turns and the high g-force movements were something that I had completely forgotten about. It wasn't as bad as it had been when I first got into the MAKO with him but that was just from experience. If not for that I have no doubt I would've thrown up from his driving.

I never understood how he could do that just fine but from the few times I've been allowed to drive a lot of people said the same thing. Looking around the cabin as Shepard drove it became apparent that the only one who was completely unaffected was Shepard himself, and Garrus in the turret but that thing was gyro stabilized. In other words, it was made for this type of movement.

At least I got to watch everyone else be miserable along with me as Shepard drove. That said, the saving grace of the whole experience was that it only lasted a few minutes. Shepard may be a menace behind the wheel but there was no denying that he was exceptional at driving. Hell, you were in more trouble suffering from his driving than you were from anything actually hitting us.

As we came to a skidding halt in front of the main installation Shepard put the Hammerhead into park and got out without a word. The rest of then clambered out with Jack and I first since we were closest to the door. I immediately went to scanning the surroundings looking for anything out of the ordinary.

It didn't take an operator or anyone special to see this place was dead and probably everyone in it was as well. Though as I scanned I saw a glint of something out of the corner of my eye. Snapping my gun to it that alerted everyone else that I had spotted something. Everyone but myself Garrus, Zaeed and Shepard sprinted into cover recognizing they didn't have the weapons to engage at a distance.

Not knowing what it was but not wanting to take the chance that it could be a sniper I spotted the glint in the distance, maybe 4 or 500 meters, and fired. At that distance I knew I wasn't going to really be able to do much but I was confident in myself that they would at least be suppressed. Especially once the others started firing with me.

We sent a total of maybe 30 shots downrange at the glint before it disappeared and I saw something moving out there. I couldn't tell what it was because of the distance but it was humanoid at the very least. Either way once it started to run we made our way into cover near the entrance of the building where the others were already waiting.

"Garrus, did you see who that was?" Shepard asked as we regrouped with everyone.

"That was a Geth but it didn't look anything like the ones we've seen."

"In what way?"

"It was wearing N7 armor for one and looked more advanced. Can't tell you more than that, I didn't get the best of looks at it," Garrus said shrugging. What was Legion doing here? Questions for another time I guess.

Before anything else could happen our radios all received a burst of static before a voice came through. It was garbled at first and we couldn't understand it at all but after a few seconds the signal cleared.

"Hello, can you read me?"

"We read you, who are you?" Shepard demanded without a seconds hesitation.

"I'm Chief Scientist Archer. I was the head of this place before everything went to sideways. It's probably I'm the only survivor as of right now."

"What can you tell us?" I cut in not wanting to prolong this talk.

"We were trying to merge a VI system with the Geth network. The potential it held for us was too big for us not to attempt it… But the VI system went rogue and reactivated the geth we had been studying. Controlling them as well which I believe to be the only reason the geth aren't here in force. Anyways, they took over everything and killed everyone. I got lucky and managed to lock myself in the panic room."

"How do we shut it down?" Shepard asked taking the reigns of the conversation back.

"You'll have to destroy the signal tower. That'll shut down all the geth not specifically here. From there you should be able to get into the main hall and shut down the program at it's core."

"Roger. Stay put, we'll handle this," at that Shepard cut the connection and looked at everyone. "You know the plan. Through the doors to the giant signal tower, blow the tower and then shut it down at the core. Any questions?"

No one said anything and he gave a nod of acknowledgment before motioning to the door. Jack, myself and Shepard were in the front of the stack with the others behind us and Garrus at the rear. Once we were all ready Shepard gave me the signal to hack the door open. It was the first time in a long while that I wasn't able to open the door. Each time I tried I was repelled. I could use my det cord to open it up but I needed to save it for the tower, I didn't know how much it would take to bring it down.

Sighing at the development I looked at Jack across from me and gestured to the door with my head. Her eyes widened for a moment before she flashed a feral grin and nodded. Jogging a good 20 feet away she started to wreath herself in biotic energy. Everyone got the message and turned away from the door as she charged at it and broke straight through like she had at our base. Debris flying everywhere but we none of us hesitated and we followed her in through the hole she had made.

As soon as we got in there were geth in front of us with glowing green eye lenses firing at us. We wasted no time in returning fire as we entered getting to cover as fast as possible. Still, there were only about 10 geth in here and all were basic models so it didn't take all that long. A couple of Overloads, a grenade from me and a mass of fire later and they were all dead on the ground.

Standing up from cover I looked around to find Jack and give her a thumbs up but she was already getting one from Shepard. She didn't say a word or change her face when he patted her on the shoulder and gave her a 'good job' but I saw her tense when he touched her. Makes sense with what I know of her trauma but she didn't lash out so that was already an improvement.

Once he did that Shepard gave us a hand motion and we were going through the doors on the other side of the hall. Myself, Jack and Zaeed taking point as we moved. As we made our way through the hall we weren't attacked at all but could see geth outside the windows all over the tower we were going to destroy.

There was roughly 30 of them out there with four Juggernauts and two Primes. This wasn't about to be an easy fight but it seemed at least while they were under the control of the rouge VI they weren't at full power. Not the best of consolation prizes considering what we were about to fight but all the same it wasn't terrible.

Still as we got to the door that would lead us outside Shepard split us up into two groups. He would lead the group that would go left consisting of himself, Miranda, Zaeed and Kasumi. I would lead the group going right consisting of myself, Garrus, Jack and Jacob. Once we were split up we stacked up on the door again and this time I was able to hack it open.

With the door opened we all rushed through, my group heading right into cover and Shepards going left. I didn't look at Shepards side to see how he had adjusted his group but Jack and I were our pointmen, Jacob was behind us in the middle and Garrus was at the back sniping.

We were able to get into cover without much trouble from Geth fire but that was telling as we had three of the four Juggernauts charging at both Jack and I. Reacting on instinct I ordered Garrus to fire a concussion and for Jack to send out a Shockwave. Both simultaneously executed my orders and hit their targets. Garrus' shot nailed one of the Juggernauts in the chest but all it did was stop the Juggernaut, it was still standing but not moving.

That wasn't the desired effect of the concussive round but it ended up working out. Jack's shockwave tore through the ground at them but the other two Juggernauts saw it coming and jumped over the shockwave barely missing a beat continuing their charge at us. The one that had been his by Garrus' concussive round got the full force of the shockwave though and was sent flying into the air with it's legs mangled.

Still, the other two were still charging at Jack and I. I fired as many shots as I could into the Juggernaut on the left as it charged ordering Jacob and Garrus to focus on the rest of the geth as I did so. Jack didn't fire her shotgun until the Juggernaut was right on top of her but she did her Claymore blew off one of the geth's arms and took a chunk of its shoulder as well. The Juggernaut I had been firing at had bullet holes around around it's head but any that went to it's… eye? Any that went to it's eye bounced off it.

With that it was completely functional when it reached me and shoulder checked me. I had been expecting it to punch and paid the price for guess as I was sent stumbling backwards. Using the momentum the check gave me I rolled back up and charged at the Juggernaut as it too charged me. In the few feet I ran I activated my torch construct and for a moment it's eye focused on it but that was all I needed.

Pointing with my rifle in one hand I squeezed off a shots, all hitting their mark in the Juggernauts shoulder. This brought its attention over to my gun and by then we were a mere two feet from each other. More than close enough for me to stab my construct straight into it's chest. The superheated Omni-gel at the end burning straight through the Juggernauts chest plate and into it's chest without a problem.

That being said as the construct burned its way to the geth's spine it sent a punch at me and I saw it far to late to do anything. It cracked across my face sending me stumbling backwards and I hit the railing my head ringing and eyesight swimming from the hit. Knowing I had to regain my bearing and the fights initiative I shook my head to clear my head but the Juggernaut wasn't giving me a chance as it was already on me.

I was barely able to dodge to the side and spun before driving the Torch construct where I remembered it's head being. It connected and burned straight through the eye of the geth. It screamed out for a few moments before it collapsed onto the ground.

Not wanting to stay out in the open I jumped back into cover which just so happened to be with Jack. She had, by the look of it, dealt with her Juggernaut a lot more efficiently than I had. I'm going to take a wild guess and say that her biotics was a pretty big factor there.

"Took you long enough," was all she said to me as I rejoined her. I didn't respond to that at all and instead chose to give out orders.

"We're pushing forward. Jacob and Garrus, continue to support us as best as you can," I got two clicks from the radio telling me that they got the message.

With that I went out of cover with Jack at my six firing at the nearest geth. A few shots to the head and the thing collapsed and it's buddy next to it dropped from a singular hole straight through its eye. Jack and I stepped over the bodies before a group of six geth came charging at us on the catwalk.

Jack biotically charged forward without a care for the world and met the geth head on. She made it through two of them with pure power before she came upon the third and was unceremoniously forced to a knee when the forth kicked the back of her knee leaving her completely open. Seeing that she was at the mercy of the Geth i stopped firing at them and charged forward to help her out.

As I charged the one that had kicked out her legs was sent careening backwards and off the guard rail by a concussive shot. Then the one she had been charging was thrown thrown backwards into it's two other companies and became tangled on the ground. Seeing this as the best chance I was going to get I grabbed a grenade off my belt and tossed it at the three tangled geth.

I reached Jack a moment later and did something I knew she wouldn't like. I grabbed her and threw her to the ground covering her with my body in case of shrapnel. My armor and shields could take it better than she could. That being said the grenade and resulting shrapnel from the close range of the blast shredded my shields all the way down to five percent.

Getting off her as quick as possible I popped my gun up and squeezed off a few shots at a couple of geth I saw coming towards us. Garrus and Jacob took them out before much else could happen though and I stood up completely letting the lull in combat take effect I extended my hand to Jack. There was, for a moment, hatred and fear in her eyes before it subsided and she took my offered hand.

Hoisting her up we continued on our way through the catwalk but stopped in front of another door leading to another part of the facility. I didn't see any more geth in front of us but I could hear it from the other side of the catwalk. Giving the signal to rush forward we just got to be able to see Shepards group and the geth they were fighting. That was all we were able to see before one of the support towers holding up the comm tower started to come crashing down.

From there Shepard's group booked it in the opposite direction and the geth tried to but from a simple hand signal both Jack and I got to a knee to allow Jacob, and Garrus to shoot over us. From there I threw a grenade at the Geth and Jack sent three shockwaves at them cutting off their escape route. It worked to perfection as all of the geth were either crushed under the support beam or sent flying from the resulting force.

The problem with that was that once the beam went the chords of the other beams snapped and the whole tower started to come down. Thankfully it came down in the exact direction the beam had fallen, that said the tower was a lot bigger and I didn't yet know if Shepard's team had survived it coming down.

Trying to hail them on the raid resulted in no response so I turned around and sprinted back the way we came hoping to make contact with them. Garrus was way ahead of me in that regard, as was Jacob. Worry gripped my heart as I continued to run but it ended up being for naught as all of Shepard's group was okay. Not without injuries though.

Sprinting forward towards them I got the medic bag ready for treatment. The first person I reached was Zaeed who was sporting a couple of cuts on his face with a few right above his good eye and a long but shallow cut on his forearm. I gave him some gauze and antiseptic before running to the others. Miranda was fine, as was Shepard but Kasumi had a broken forearm. It was easy to tell from the angle it was at.

I gave her a couple of painkillers and injected some medi-gel in her arm after I put it into a sling. No matter what she was out of the fight for the rest of the day at the bare minimum. Making sure it was all good I gave her free hand a good squeeze and nodded my head. Hoping to convey that it would all be okay. From the expression on her face I succeeded at least a little.

"Zaeed," Shepard barked out getting the attention of the banged up merc. "Take Kasumi back to the Hammerhead and keep watch. Jacob, go with them."

Jacob nodded to Shepard at the order but Zaeed didn't say anything beyond grunting in affirmation. At that they took Kasumi and started walking her back the way we came. Shepard then tried to hail Archer but he got nothing but static.

"There's a door on the other side where my group was Shepard. We should be able to get to the main hall there."

He gave a nod and then gestured for me to lead the way. I did so with Jack at my side and we moved at a relaxed pace to where the door was. Well, not exactly a relaxed pace but we weren't sprinting. Either way when we got there I began to hack the door but before I could the door simply opened. At that I looked to Shepard and shook my head; he got the message and gave a single hand signal. Everyone had their guns up and ready at his order.

Going through the door we encountered no geth in the room and pushed through it. Still expecting everything to go wrong I checked every corner and Jack copied my every action but didn't it to the opposite side. I went left and she went right. Still, there was nothing in that room as we went through it. It was when we entered the next room that everything started to a bit funky.

As soon as we entered it Sam started to say something in my helmet but was immediately stopped as a green hue took over my helmet. Not knowing what was happening I readied my gun for the inevitable eventuality of having to fight our way out. Still, as the green hue took over I saw what looked to be shimmering green code on the wall showing me where to go.

"Does anyone else see this?" I asked looking around at the group. I got looks of confusion from everyone except Shepard who stayed silent. After a few moments he turned to me and nodded his head.

Without so much as anything else we both stepped forward and began to follow the shimmering green code. The others exchanged looks of apprehension and confusion but otherwise followed right behind us. Following the green code it took us through the room and into the next one.

Once in that room the shimmering code came off of the wall and headed towards one of the terminals. Walking towards it both Shepard and I exchanged glances as we looked at the terminal. Neither of us said anything but we both understood that the other had no idea what would happen if we interacted with it. Despite that he gave a nod to me and I began to try and interface with it through my omni-tool.

After a few tries I was able to activate the terminal and the shimmering code disappeared. When it did activate it started to play an audio recording. As soon as it started to play I knew that it was just a research recording and that it was Chief Archer who was talking. Like when doctors are recording for patient treatments to remind themselves later that they need to do whatever it they need to.

As the recording went on it talked about all that they could accomplish with the technology if they succeeded. However, they that been trying for months now and were showing no real signs of progress. Every time they made progress in the experiments it would always fail at the end. Archer used some technical jargon I didn't understand but the more he talked about it I realized that they weren't able to find something compatible to the Geth system so that it would actually work. No processor could keep up with the geth's system.

Once the recording ended the shimmering code came back and lit up the room we were in. Knowing Shepard would be at my side I strode forward following the code. It would around the room before it went through the door and into the next room. We, of course, followed it into the next room with the others right behind us. However, as soon as we got into the next room a group of five geth entered from the other side.

As soon as we saw them I sent an Overload straight at them and another shot over my shoulder, I assumed it to be from Garrus. Instantly after we sent our Overloads out three Warps shot at the geth; one I knew was from Shepard and the other two had to have been from Jack and Miranda. Either way when all five of those attacks reached their destination they did so at the same exact time. That, combined with the fact that they were still so close to each other resulted in a rather beautiful explosion and all five geth dropped to the ground dead and in pieces or atomized.

We didn't bother even looking at the bodies and instead continued to follow the code which took us to another terminal. Again I interfaced with it and again it started to play an audio recording. This time though I could tell that Archer was exhausted, you could hear it in his voice. He basically went through the same thing he was talking about last time but this time he mentioned that TIM had given him a deadline. Either finish it within the next three months or have the project shut down.

Looking at the time date of the recording it was dated for 70 days ago so he was drawing close to the deadline when this happened. After he mentioned that though the recording ended and the shimmering code came back. We followed it to the next room and to the next terminal and again I interfaced with it.

Another audio recording but this time it was dated only two weeks ago. I didn't really understand what he was talking about in this one but there was something I did understand in it. He got approval from TIM himself to try Human trials. That and the fact that he believed that he found the perfect candidate. I wasn't exactly thrilled at this development but he got approval and the potential it had was almost infinite. As long as the person was willing.

Shepard didn't look all that happy and neither did Jack; muttering about how this was how Cerberus always worked. Miranda was a stone wall and didn't say a word, the same went for Garrus and myself.

Still, when the recording ended the code came back but instead of taking us a new room. It took us to the elevator. The button with MH, I assuming meant Main Hall, was glowing green. Once everyone was piled in I pressed the button and it took us down. It lasted barely a few moments but when it ended it opened up into a large hall.

"Jesus H Christ," the words were out of my mouth as soon as I saw the horror show that was in front of me.

Strapped and bound in the air by dozens of wires of all varying sizes and extended all over the main hall was a man. He had those wires going all around his body and some were even piercing into his skin. Then there were two going directly into his mouth stretching it out wide like some super fucked up horror film. The worst part though was that his eyes were being forced to stay open and you could tell from how they looked he had been like that for at least the whole time. You could literally see the cry for help in his eyes.

Before we could do anything though the green code expanded and started to cover the entire room and the tubes wrapped themselves around the guy before the code formed a bright green barrier around him. Then a hologram of two scientists at terminals appeared in front of us and started talking.

"Chief… Are you sure this is a good idea. We've barely even tested the compatibility of this. If it goes wrong he will die."

"He's passed the preliminaries with flying colors. We won't get a better candidate before the Illusive Man shuts us down."

"I know Chief but we'll just be transferred to new projects. If we do this and it fails he could die."

"The potential he presents to us is unfathomable; it is a risk we must take," the other scientist was quiet for a few moments as they looked down at their terminal before looking back to the Chief, which had to be Archer.

"Sir… He's your brother."

"I know Orrin… Start the program," at his words Orrin started the program and it was barely a second before the Chief's brother started screaming. The two scientists tried to shut down the program but for all their effort couldn't, even when they disconnected the main power system. Almost a full minute of hearing the man scream elapsed before everything went silent. Orrin and Archer both opened their mouths to speak but before they could geth appeared in the hologram and immediately shot Orrin in the face. The hologram cut out after that.

None of us knew what to do with that but several doors opened around the hall and geth started to come in. As we all instinctively looked for cover, which there was none of, a voice blared over the loudspeakers.

"Normandy SR-2 signal acquired. Beginning upload process."

We were barely able to hear the words over the gunfire that started almost immediately after the geth came in. None of us knew what it was trying to do with the signal but we all knew that we had to stop it. It couldn't have been good in any way shape or form.

"Any ideas on how to shut down the upload?" Garrus shouted as we ketp on firing at the geth. They were dropping in droves against our fire but there was an ever increasing number of them. Still, we kept cutting them down with a combination of bullets, biotics, tech abilities and (so far) a singular grenade.

No one had an answer for Garrus' question though. At least none of us did for a few moments. Suddenly my helmet went pitch black and a loud whirring started in my ears before exploding in sound to that of a jet engine. I shouted in pain and surprise, grabbing at my head I made to get my helmet off but all of a sudden the sound stopped. The ringing in my ears didn't stop but the noise did.

Shoot the green spots orb floating around. It will disrupt the upload

A voice said inside my helmet. I didn't know if it was telling the truth or not but it was our best option. Even if my paranoia was screaming out against the idea I relayed the information to Shepard. He gave me a quick curious look before nodding his head and giving me the order to find and destroy the orb. The rest of the group would handle the geth coming in.

Dropping back to the formation we had created near Garrus I started looking all around the room in search of the green orb. For, at least, 30 seconds I saw nothing but then as I looked up I spotted it. Right at the top of the hall. Aiming the Mattock I squeezed off a round hitting the orb and when it hit the orb took off flying at an incredible speed around the room.

It went everywhere. Around the geth, around our team, around Archer's brother, around everything. As it flew around everyone though I was tracking it the whole time but knew that I wouldn't be able to do much of anything to it with any shots. The thing was just too fast and changed too many destinations too quickly for me to be able to do much beyond spraying and praying. Something I wasn't willing to do with friendlies all around me.

Instead I continued to track it and watched as it continued around the room. The third time it made it though the room I noticed a patter in its movements. As soon as I noticed it I crabbed my det cord and cut a portion of it off before packing it into a ball. Hooking it up to my omni-tool for a detonator I watched the orb run around and just as it was about to complete it's pattern and fly back up to the top of the hall I chucked the bundled up det cord.

The ball of det cord soared through the air for an agonizingly long time but just as it reached the top so did the orb right next to it. I blew the cord with a single command from my omni-tool and everything stopped. The geth seemed to shut down, the orb disappeared and the glowing green of everything around us stopped. The only thing that didn't was the mass surrounding Archer's brother.

"OPEN FIRE. DON'T HIT THE MAN INSIDE!" Shepard roared out and as one we all fired at the green material surrounding him.

I don't know how many rounds we were able to expend but it would've made some gun lovers either hard or weep at it. Depending on how much their ammo was when they buy* it. Either way we kept on firing until the firewall around the guy came back up and the geth restarted themselves. When it ended the firewall looked to be on it's last possible legs, sparking and fading with every second that passed.

"Upload at 70 percent," came the announcement.

From there it was back to the same thing as before. The others firing on the geth with everything they had while I looked for the orb. I was able to spot it after a few moments of searching for it. Watching it as it ran around the room I memorized the new pattern after three turns around and repeated the same process as before.

Getting the det cord ready in my hand I watched it run around the room before throwing the det cord up in the air at the orb. I was just a bit in front of it as it exploded and the orb didn't disintegrate. However, it did stop and this allowed me to take a singular shot at it and that's all that was needed. The shot connected and the orb disappeared.

"AGAIN," Shepard roared.

And again we all opened fire on the orb but this time it shattered under the weight of our fire. Little green flecks exploding everywhere and as they faded into nothingness the whole of the project came down. All the green disappeared and there was a mechanical scream and then nothing. It was just us and Archer's brother in the room now.

"Upload Cancelled," came the announcement and we all breathed a sigh of relief at the confirmation.

"Alright, let's get him out of there," at Shepard's words we all began to look around to find a way to get him out of the horror show that he was in. It took a few minutes until we found where we could start. Just as we were about to though one of the doors opened and someone ran in. I recognized him as Chief Archer immediately and my first instinct was to hurt him.

I understand what was done here could benefit everyone and that he had gotten permission for human trial. To do this though isn't even anywhere close to humane, not even remotely in the ballpark to call it such. Then to do this to his own brother, I had a brother in my past life. If I thought to do this to him I would've rather died.

"Stop, don't do anything Rash," I opened my mouth to retort and I had no doubt everyone else did as well but Jack took over. She shoved past Shepared and pushed me out of the way walking up to Archer and clocking him across the face and sending him to the ground.

"RASH! RASH!" She roared at him as she got on top of him and started to pummel the scientist. "HE IS YOUR FUCKING BROTHER! HE IS YOUR FAMILY AND YOU DO THIS TO HIM."

She continued to scream at the man while she pummeled him and no one moved a muscle. If Chief Archer died here not a single one of us would care so we simply watched. Jack was relentless in her beating and didn't even slow down the whole time. However, as she continued to pummel him the same voice that had told me about the orb came back.

Please. Stop her.

Snapping my head to the man tied up his eyes were staring dead at me pleading with me to do something. I took a big sigh before walking forwards towards Jack as she continued to beat Archer into the ground. As she raised her fist again I put my hand on her shoulder as gently as possible. She went completely still before her head turned to me eyes questioning me. I shook my head slowly.

"He deserves to die. Slowly," she all but whispered out before looking back down at the bloody and barely recognizable face of Chief Archer, he was breathing though.

"I agree. But it isn't our call."

"Shepard's a Spectre. He can okay it," she snapped back.

"I know but his brother doesn't want this," she then looked at the man tied up and took a big sigh before getting off of Archer and walking away.

Over the next few minutes we got the guy down and found out that his name was David. He was docile and weak when we pulled him down. I gave him some medi-gel and pain killers too and before long he was sleeping. It wasn't from anything I gave him, he must've been awake for days if not a full week in that hell hole.

Once that was done Shepard had Miranda go to the control room and take down the AA guns around here so Joker could land. Wit that done we wrapped up David and cuffed Archer, carrying out the former and dragging the latter to the entrance. Jacob, Kasumi and Zaeed gave a curious look to them both but otherwise stayed silent until Garrus filled them in on everything.

Zaeed said nothing in response but you could see the contempt on his face. Jacob looked disappointed and Kasumi looked ready to commit murder and might've tried it if she wasn't already hurt.

A few minutes later the Normand showed up and we all piled in while the Cerberus crew members began a mop up job of the facility. Getting the bodies and destroying sensitve info. David was taken to the Med Bay and Archer was thrown in the brig. With that done I left and went to my room to change and take a shower before heading to eat.

*POV: Shepard*

After we left the planet with David and Archer we headed to Grissom Academy; David would be cared for there. As for Archer I thought about just spacing him but decided against it and simply dropped him off at Grissom as well. I just wanted him away and he wasn't deserving of the meager effort it would take to kill him.

After that we took off to find another recruit. Warlord Okeer, an infamous Krogan who by all rights is hated by other Krogan. Not exactly sure why but I don't really care, if he can help us with the Collectors I'm all for it.

Where he was though was at least another two day flight. Not for the fact that it would take two days but mostly because we would stop every now and again at some planets to pick up materials. Stuff to keep the ship going and install some upgrades once we get the time. Garrus' idea for bigger guns being first and foremost.

That's all we've been doing since dropping the Archer brothers off but about 15 minutes ago I received a message from Mordin to come down to his lab. I had to finish up some paperwork before I headed down and upon was just getting there now.

"Ah, Shepard. Good you came. Data interesting."

"On what?"

"Aedon. Blood shows increased levels of Eezo."

"I know. From Virmire."

"Yes. Yes. But levels increasing over time. He's generating his own Eezo," I was shocked into silence for a moment before regaining my bearings.

"What does that mean for him?"

"Noidea. Mental stateunchanged, shows to beableto biotically interactwithanything Eezo related, ArdakYakshi significance possibility, can predict bioticattacksbecauseofit… Wonder if his bullets couldinteractwithhis power? Hmm, so many possibilities, so little information. EXCITING!" Yeah, I could barely follow him he was talking so fast.

"Tell me what you can Mordin," I stated getting his attention.

"No idea yet. Need tests to be done," he said pacing around the room as he played on his omni-tool.

"Okay, focus on the Swarm countermeasure first though. We need that to be working."

"Of course Shepard. Will be done," just then the door opened and Jack strode in like she owned the place. Still dressed extremely scantily and I be remiss to say that she didn't rock it. Her attitude had improved in the last couple days we've been travelling too. Not a drastic change at all but a noticeable one to be sure. She was acting better around others and looked to be at least making an effort with the ground team. Her and Miranda butt heads all the time and it looks like it might come to blows eventually. For now its okay.

"Whatcha need doc?"

"See anything different about Mr. Wynne while you worked together. Informed me he had an altercation with you," the attitude change makes sense now. He probably beat some sense into her. Good man Aedon.

"Yeah. His eyes turned purple. That all you need?" both Mordin and I were silent at her words as we tried to process what she just said. She took our silence as confirmation and left. My eyes followed her ass, even through her baggy pants it was a nice ass.

"ECITING!" Mordin shouted before speed walking to his instruments and starting his work. I left him to it and went back to my room. I had other things to worry about now; namely the bane of all officers. Paperwork.

Here ya go Folks. Hope you enjoyed it. Have a good day :)
