AN: Here's a funny idea. What if Patrick was voiced by H. Jon Benjamin. It would be funny if the voice of Bob Belcher and Archer was playing Patrick. It also would be great if J.G. Quintel was also the voice actor.
So those are three voice actors that I think would fit Patrick: Vic Mignona, H. Jon Benjamin, and J.G. Quintel.
Any other ideas?
Anyways back to the story.
The rain had come again, and it forced the Mystery Shack gang to stay locked inside of the house. Patrick didn't really mind the rain, even though it was a dreary sight. He always saw it as the moment before something came in a movie. Also with the weather being this bad, there were going to be no tourists to the Shack, and that gave Patrick some time to play on his saxophone.
As the rain poured down the roof and leaked into the Mystery Shack, the twins came down to Patrick's room to have their own fun while inside. Patrick was laying on the couch on his back playing low, soothing jazz music, as Wendy sat on the other end of the couch, bobbing her head lightly to the music. The rainfall caused major flooding on the driveway that even when Stan gave her and Soos the day off they were stuck there. But it not like the two were complaining, as they hung out at the Shack so much.
She had her phone out but was barely paying attention to it. Instead, Wendy would glance at Patrick for a few moments. Loving how great the boy she secretly had a huge crush on played. It couldn't be helped that she started to form a blush on her cheeks.
Sitting on the floor of Patrick's room was Dipper and Mabel. The two were playing Battleship, but were mostly there to see how Patrick and Wendy were hanging out. It was clear that Wendy felt something for their cousin by the way she was acting.
"Aren't they cute together?" asked Mabel.
"Yeah," Dipper said, more focused on the game. "I'm gonna say... B5."
"Miss!" Mabel corrected and put another peg on her board. "Whop!" Patrick stopped playing and looked at Mabel's board. Hearing her crush stop, Wendy looked at where he was staring at and chuckled with him when they saw that she'd arranged her pegs into the shade a kitten.
"That's not how you play, Mabel," Patrick said with a smirk.
"Says you!" Mabel pointed at him before throwing her arms up. "I make my own rules!"
"Yeah!" Wendy exclaimed and the two girls high-fived.
Dipper sighed in annoyance and started putting away his board. "That's one thing we can agree on," he said. Every time the two played a game, Mabel would always bend the rules to her advantage.
"Kids! Come quick!" Stan shouted from the living room.
The four kids exchanged glances, questioning what Stan could possibly be wanting. They then ran out of the room and up the stairs. Patrick, Wendy, and the twins entered the living room to find Stan watching television. Laughing at it with Soos in the room too.
"I need you to laugh at this with me!" He pointed from his chair at the TV.
They looked at the television and saw a commercial for the Tent of Telepathy. And in that commercial was the infamous kid physic himself, Gideon Gleeful. Floating through the sky while singing and playing on a guitar. "Who's cute as a button, and always your friend? Lil' G-I-D to the E-O-N! Wink!" He winked.
"Li'l Gideon!" Bud's voice said, as the kid's name was displayed in big letters onscreen. Letters spelled out in cursive writing
"Ugh, Gideon!" Dipper groaned bitterly, as the Pines kids grimaced.
Mabel cringed with a disgusted expression. "Remember when I wouldn't date him and he tried to kill Patrick?" she mentioned.
"Or when he shrank us and he tried to take the Shack?" Patrick asked, glaring at Gideon. He then looked to Stan with a raised eyebrow. "Seriously, when did he become so interested in this dump?"
"You kidding me? The little bastard's always trying to trick me into losing the Mystery Shack.
"One time I caught him stealing my moisturizer," Wendy said, propping her arm against the back of Stan's chair.
"What?!" Patrick exclaimed with wide eyes.
"I know! He doesn't even know my name."
Soos then walked over. "And yet, our mutual hatred for him bonds us together," he said, referring to Gideon, bringing his hands together with his usual smile.
On the TV, Gideon laughed creepily as a flock of doves fly out from behind the child psycho with his arms opened wide. It made Patrick shudder a tiny bit before the title image appealed on the commercial. "Come on down to Li'l Gideon's Tent of Telepathy, opening soon at this location." Bud voiced over. The commercial showed some promotional animation of the Mystery Shack getting crushed by the Tent of Telepathy after it fell from the sky.
Patrick blinked before turning to Stan with a nervous expression. "Uh, Stan, should we be worried about that?"
Stan, however, waved him off dismissively. "Please, the only way Gideon's taking over this shack is by breaking in and stealing my deed," he stated to assure him.
Suddenly they all heard the sound of crashing glass echoing from upstairs. Startling everyone in the house.
Wendy shifted her eyes anxiously and asked, "You mean like, right now?"
She and the others quickly rushed to Stan's office to see what it was that made that sound. When they got there, they came to a halt and Patrick slowly opened it to peck inside. Stan poked his head over his nephew's head and the twins poked their head under Patrick.
Having broken the window, the crazy kid Gideon was on his knees, attempting to open Stan's safe. Soaking wet from being outside while wearing some kind of hat.
"38? 41? Oh, heavens to Betsy!" Gideon whispered to himself, pressing buttons on the lock.
"Gideon!" Stan yelled, opening the door. Glaring at the child.
Gideon stood up before turning around with a smirk on his face, drawing his hands behind his back. "Well, well, Stanford, my arch-nemesis. We seem to have entered a dangerous game of cat and mouse," he said, drumming his fingers together. "But the question remains, who is the cat, and who is the-"
"It's you," Patrick deadpanned, pulling out his crowbar. "You're the mouse." He hit his palm with his weapon.
Gideon gasped. "Oh no, not the crowbar!" He shrieked, and Patrick started chasing Gideon around the room with the crowbar as if he was a cat. Swinging at his head. Gideon stopped a moment and hissed at Patrick as he clawed at the air. This only allowed Patrick to hit him in the face twice. He then grabbed Gideon by the back of his shirt and carried him out of the room. Holding the little boy's body away from him as he kicked and swung to try and escape.
Stan opened the front door and Patrick stepped out onto the porch. "And stay out!" He yelled, throwing Gideon with all his might.
The kid psycho yowled like a cat, before landing face-first in a puddle of mud. Sitting up, he spat out the mud in his mouth and whipped it off his face. Fuming with anger, he turned around and pointed at Stan. "You mark my words, Stanford, one day I'm gonna get that combination. And once I steal that deed, you'll never see the Mystery Shack again!"
"Good luck, bucko!" Stan replied confidently before slamming the door. Leaving Gideon looking angry out in the rain.
Returning to his office, Stan put in the code and opened the safe to check on the deed. He pulled into out to look at it. Seeing his "name" written in cursive on the dotted line. He looked at it for a moment before hearing footsteps coming his way. So, he put the Mystery Shack deed back into the safe and pressing the lock button.
Patrick entered the room with a worried expression. "Stan, that was way too close," he said, before asking the thing that needed to be asked. "Are you absolutely sure that the deed in the safe is...safe?"
Stan laughed and patted him on the back. "Relax. The combo to this safe is in the one place he'll never find it: my brain," he said before walking away.
Patrick stood there for a moment, still unassured with Stan's statement. But, there was nothing he could do. Stan was as stubborn as a mule, and wouldn't have Patrick take extra security precautions. So, he sighed and left the room.
Unaware that Gideon was staring into the room from right outside the window. He turned and started walking away into the rain. He didn't care about his clothes getting wet, and reached into his blue suit. "Your brain isn't as safe as you might think, Stanford Pines!" He said, pulling out Journal 2, before flipping to one particular page. "This is the last straw! It's time to unlock the journal's greatest secret..."
On this page was the one that had a strange Zodiac on it. The Zodiac consisted of a circle with an outer ring that had twelve small images in it: A pair of glasses; a question mark; a crowbar; an open bag of ice; a crescent/Pac-Man shaped symbol; a pine tree; a pentagram with an eyeball in the center; a hand with six fingers; an eagle with a magnifying glass; a llama; a shooting star; and a heart with a stitch in the middle.
Gideon Gleeful was an egotistical, kid psychopath that was willing to do everything and everything to get what he wanted and obtain ultimate power over his fellow man, but in just a moment, you're about to witness Gideon summon a triangular being inside that Zodiac.
An unimaginable evil the likes of which have never been seen in Gravity Falls was about to be unleashed.
{Play Stranger Things theme by Kyle Dixon Michael Stein}
The intro begins by fading in a scene of the road sign that said: "Welcome to Gravity Falls, Oregon."
We then see a view of the town of Gravity Falls, with the strangely shaped canyons in the background, and the sun going down between the two land formations. As the sun was setting, the day turns to a blue night. However, a sinister red light comes from over the horizon. Shining between the canyon.
The next scene is of a large, dinosaur footprint in the ground. It then changed to show the trees of the forest at night, and a pair of glowing eyes staring at the viewer, before the camera switched to a wider shot and showed many more eyes staring at the viewer. The next scene was a far back show of two men dumping a body into the lake, and as that body sank down it was swallowed by a massive creature.
PATRICK
The teenage Pines is shown in a freeze shot of him walking in the woods with a lantern and his crowbar in hand. Behind him, Bill's eye in the sky looked down at him.
DIPPER
The male twin is looking down at the journal with a flashlight. Not noticing that there was a Pteranodon staring down at him, ready to eat him.
MABEL
The female twin is the final one to be seen, and it showed her wearing a sweater that lit up because it was plugged into an outlet. But in another, farther away shot show's Gideon's hand controlling her like she was a marionette.
The finale of the intro shows the Mystery Shack as the sun goes down behind it and the trees of the forest. When the sun goes down and the night came, and just like the beginning, the red light appears, but then a blue light shined from inside the Mystery Shack.
Then the screen when black and the title of the story appeared in a flash of light.
WEIRDER THINGS
It then disappeared, before the chapter title appeared.
Chapter Seventeen:
Dreamscaperers
About a half-hour later, Patrick, Dipper, Mabel, Stan, and Wendy were back to being bored. The rain hadn't let up, so they were trapped watching television. Wendy brought out some Nyarf brand dart guns, and she and Patrick were lazily shooting each other by the skull table. Dipper was messing with a Rubik's Cube, bored out of his mind while watching the movie with Mabel.
"He put the old in 'old west,' they call him..." the 60's show's narrator then musically sang the title, "Grandpa the Kid!"
Grandpa the Kid was then shown and said on television, "I'm tired during the day."
Nodding approvingly, Stan gestured to the TV and stated, "I can relate to this."
"Is it sad to say that I do too," Patrick asked, before getting shot in the nose by Wendy.
"Grunkle Stan, why can't we watch a movie that we'll all enjoy," Mabel asked, before holding up a VHS of one of her favorite movies. Which just so happened to be hated by everyone in the room. "Dream Boy High! 'Where love is on your permanent record.'"
"Boo!" Stan, Dipper, and Wendy instantly jeered in response.
"How can you watch that pile of shit?" Patrick demanded loudly.
"You'll learn to like it," Mabel assured them, not losing her smile.
"Hmm, no."
Suddenly there was a loud crash coming from the kitchen, a pot tumbling out into the hallway. "Aaah!" They heard Soos screaming, before he quickly ran out into the room. "Dudes, there's a bat in the kitchen! It tried to touch me with its 'weird little bat fingers!'"
"Don't worry, I got this under control," Stan said, pointing at him. However, instead of getting up to take care of the bat, Stan leans back in his armchair and propped it up. Tucking his arms behind his head and continued to watch TV. "Dipper, take care of it."
Dipper gasped and Mabel laughed in triumph. "Yes!"
"What? Why can't Patrick do it?" Dipper asked, gesturing to Patrick.
"Yeah, I can do it by myself," Patrick said, standing up.
"No, I want Dipper to do it," Stan told Patrick before telling Dipper, "And its because life ain't fair. Now go fight a bat so we can watch TV."
At that point, Dipper had enough and stood up in front of the TV. "No way, Grunkle Stan! You always make me do dumb chores. I'm putting my foot down this time!" He yelled, stomping his foot on the carpet for emphasis.
"I said do it, kid. Now!" Stan barked at his great-nephew.
Old west music played on the TV as Stan and Dipper had a stare-off, growling at each other. But eventually, Stan won when he gave off an angry glare.
"Okay, I'll do it!" Dipper said quickly, giving in. He sighed in defeat walks into the kitchen. Patrick and Mabel following behind him. He picked up a saucepan and spoon off the floor while mumbling to himself. "Stupid chores..."
"Come on, we'll do it together," Patrick said, pulling out his crowbar. He knew how hard Stan was on the boy, more so than him. He didn't know why that was, but he wasn't going to let Dipper do this alone.
"Remember, bats are more afraid of you than you are of them," Mabel said, standing with her back up against the wall by the doorway. Patrick and Dipper then entered the kitchen with determined looks. "Maybe I'm thinking of ducklings."
Suddenly there were loud screaming and crashes come from the kitchen, while kitchen supplies and Dipper's hat are thrown outside.
"Ducklings," said Mabel, laughing and making her hands open and close. "Quack quack! Quack quack quack!"
"It was an ambush! There's more than one!" Patrick screamed from inside the kitchen.
Up in the ventilation system and behind a vent, the head of Wacks Larry King watched on with satisfaction. Next to the vent was a bat. The head turned to the bat and said, "Good work for holding up your end of the bargain. Continue the attack." The bat flew off to join in the fighting, as Larry King laughed evilly.
"Okay, this isn't going to hurt," Wendy told Patrick.
The rain outside had finally stopped, and it gave the group a chance to get the bats out of the house. Wendy opened the door and the others worked to lead the bats out of the house. Mabel then grabbed the first aid kit of the two boys. He and Dipper were sitting in chairs being nursed by the ginger, Mabel, and Soos. Dipper had on a bandage around his head and on his left arm. Patrick had a bandage on his left arm, right leg, and on both of his cheeks.
While Mabel applied bandages to his head, Wendy applied the disinfectant to Patrick's wounded leg, making him yell out in pain. "Those lying bastards at Johnson and Johnson," he shouted, as Soos applied the same disinfectant on Dipper's arm.
"Sorry!" Wendy paused for a moment, before lightly applying some more. "Just be glad that those things didn't have rabies."
Soos was working on Dipper's arm. "Swabbing on disinfectant, doo doo doo..."
Dipper sighed. "Why does Grunkle Stan always pick on me? Think about it! The more painful or difficult the chore is, the more likely it is I'll have to do it. Why doesn't he pick on you guys?"
"He does," Patrick said, before standing up. He rolled down his pant leg and put back on his boonie hat. "Whenever Wendy didn't finish her work, he had me do it, along with my own work."
"Dipper, Stan's personality is one of life's great mysteries," Soos said wisely, as if he was a philosopher. "Like whether or not it's possible to lick your own elbow."
"I bet you can't!" Mabel challenged, jumping excitedly.
"I bet he can!" Wendy said with a smirk.
Seeing that he had to do it, Soos held his elbow as close to his mouth as possible and then tried to lick it. He began to walk away out of the room, with Mabel and Wendy following him. Both of them chanting. "Lick it! Lick it! Lick it!"
Patrick smirked and shook his head. He then looked to Dipper and saw him looking down with a depressed expression. "Sometimes I feel like Stan hates me," he said, looking up to a picture of Stan on the wall. Patrick went over to him and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Come on, Stan doesn't hate you," he said to reassure him.
"The sink's clogged. Dipper, get in here and fix it!" Stan shouted.
Dipper growled in rage, before grabbing one of his Nyarf dart guns and fired it at the picture. The foam dart with suction head stuck on the picture, right on Stan's big nose. However, he sighed and walked off to do the chore. Patrick stayed behind, watching his cousin going off to do his work. The teenager only hopes that he doesn't come to resent the man.
But in the woods, there was another copy of the picture of Stan. This was own by Gideon, who painted a red "X" over his eyes. Gideon lit the last of the candles that were there surrounding the photo. Putting out the match, Gideon held up Journal #2 in one hand. "You think that combination's safe in your mind, Stanford? We'll see what my new minion has to say about that!" He said, looking at the text of the journal that would summon the triangle being into the real world. Seeing the words to summon the being, he started to chant it.
"Triangulum, entangulum. Vene foris dominus mentium. Vene foris videntis omnium!" {"Triangle, entangled. Lord of Minds, come to the door. All-seeing one, come to the door!"}
When Patrick walked outside to find where the others were, he saw where they were. Soos was still attempting to lick his own elbow, with Mabel and Wendy still cheering him on. "Lick that elbow! Lick that elbow!"
Patrick walked over to them and asked, "He's still trying to do that?"
"Like the infinite horizon, it eludes my grasp," Soos said, finally giving up.
Then they all heard an all too familiar evil giggling coming from off in the distance. Behind some bushes. "Is that who I think it is?" Mabel asked.
"Man, Gideon's all ready to try again?" Wendy asked with a hand on her hip.
"Let's go check it out." Patrick started walking over towards the bushes. Wendy, Mabel, and Soos follow close behind as Patrick pulled out his crowbar. After walking a few feet, they peered through some bushes and were shocked by what they saw.
The evil boy was on bent over, grunting, clasps his stomach in front of the candles and photo of Stan. Gideon then got down on his knees and opened his eyes, revealing them to be glowing an eerie blue. As if possessed, he started chanting some gibberish that none of them were able to make out, as it wasn't any language they've heard. "Egassem sdrawkcab. Egassem sdrawkcab. Egassem sdrawkcab! Egassem sdrawkcab! Egassem sdrawkcab!"
And then, it happened.
Everything but the human turned black and white. Clouds were moving very fast that, as if someone recorded them and played that video a double the speed. Wildlife pauses, like dragonflies pausing in midair and frogs stopping after they leaped. And every thought the group could still move, they didn't as they watched the spectacle in front of them. Patrick felt a hand on his, and he looked over to see it was Wendy. She was scared, as was he. He squeezed it for comfort.
But it didn't over yet. There was another flash of light, as a white isosceles triangle appeared. It grew unit it turned into something else. The white was replaced with a hole in the sky that showed outer space. Then small yellow flames ignited on the edges and corners of the triangle. To make it even more unsettling, a large slit eye appeared in the middle. The eye looked up at the sky and started laughing a highish, echoing laugh that seemed to come from every corner of reality.
Patrick felt Mabel throw herself into his arms, hiding his face in his sweatshirt. He held her with his hand holding the crowbar and hunched down. Wendy, still holding his other hand, got down with him and Soos. As the others shielded their eyes, Patrick stared at the eyes. Even Gideon looked afraid at what he had just summoned.
After the laughing died down, the void vanished, the flames went out, and the triangle took on a new form.
The being was a yellow, triangular creature who bore a strong resemblance to the reverse side of the Great Seal of the United States, which in turn consisted of the Eye of Providence and an unfinished Egyptian pyramid. About the same size as Gideon, he had a single large eye rimmed with short black lashes on the top and bottom. He had thin, black arms and legs and wore a small, black bow tie, and a tall, thin, black top hat that floated just above his head. He had no mouth whatsoever. The lower part of his body had a brick-like pattern of lines.
Even though the being didn't look all that threatening, there was something seriously disturbing about it.
"Oh, oh, Gravity Falls! It is good to be back," the creature said, floating down to Gideon and stared down at him. The being then floated around Gideon in a circle. "Name's Bill Cipher, and I take it you're some kind of living ventriloquist dummy?" Bill laughed again before answering his own question. "I'm just kidding, I know who you are, Gideon!"
Gideon looked away in distress, before looking back at Bill. "W-what are you?" He asked with a frightful voice. "H-how do you know my name?"
"Oh, I know lots of things!" He said, blue light coming from behind him. Bill's eye widened as his body flashed many different pictures and images of various cryptic locations and visions. His voice turning into a slow, deep voice. "LOTS OF THINGS..." His body then returned to normal. "Hey, look what I can do!"
Bill gestured toward a deer that was nearby. He curled his fingers in, and to everyone's horror, the teeth of the animal were pulled right out of its mouth and gathered into Bill's hand. Patrick covered Mabel's eyes, as Wendy covered her mouth to keep herself from vomiting.
"Deer teeth! For you, kid!" Bill dropped the teeth into Gideon's hand, who cupped his hands to caught them.
The demon started laughing again. Gideon cried out in shock and disgust, dropping teeth on the ground. "You're insane!" He yelled.
"Sure I am, what's your point?" Bill asked plainly. He then raised his index figure and did a circular motion with it. This seemed to cause time to reverse itself, as the teeth were put back in deer's mouth. It then scampered into the woods.
Gideon panted, trying to regain his composure. Just what on earth did he summon? He shook his head and became serious again. Barking orders at the cosmic entity. "Listen to me, demon! I have a job for you. I need you to enter the mind of Stanford Pines and steal the code to his safe."
The four from the Mystery Shack gasped in shock. Exchanging nervous looks with each other.
Bill laughed again, but then stopped when he realized what Gideon said. "Wait... Stan Pines?" He turned around from all of them. His body then started showing images of Stan and his tattoo. Patrick raised an eyebrow. Did he know Stan or something? Bill then turned around after turning his body back to normal. "You know what, kid? You've convinced me! I'm sold! I'll help you with this and in return you can help me with something I've been working on! We'll work out the details later."
"Deal!" Gideon replied, holding out his hand.
Bill's black hand was then covered in blue flames. The two shook hands. The flames, while spreading onto Gideon's arm, didn't burn him.
With the deal finalized, Bill and Gideon released their hands. "Well, time to invade Stan's mind! This should be fun!" Bill said, extinguishing the fire on his hand. He then flowed back up into the air, above all of them. A spinning ray of blue light appeared from behind him. "Remember: reality is an illusion, the universe is a hologram, buy gold, BYEEEEEEEEE!"
And in a flash of light, he disappeared.
Patrick opened his eyes and saw that everything had returned to normal. The color of the world was back to normal, the animals were unfrozen, and the sky had slowed down.
Gideon looked around and at himself. "It worked!" He yelled and laughed maniacally.
Wendy stared at the evil kid with a worried expression. "That doesn't look good," she said.
"It's isn't," Patrick said, getting up and started running towards the Shack as fast as he could. Wendy, Mabel, and Soos ran after him, wondering what he was talking about. If he was remembering Bill Cipher correctly, then they were in great danger.
Back at the Mystery Shack, Dipper sweeping the carpet in the living room while Stan sleeps in his chair. Dipper was sweeping past him when he heard his Grunkle started mumbling in his sleep. "Oh, I'm so sorry."
"What is going on in that guy's head," he asked. Dipper begins to walk away when suddenly the door flew open and Patrick rushed in. Looking anxious and scared.
"Dipper, where's the journal!?" He yelled.
"Wait, what?" Dipper question.
"NOW, DIPPER!" Patrick ripped the boy's vest open and yanked out the journal. He started flipping through the pages, sweating bullets. Praying that Bill wasn't what he was thinking him to be. There was one page in the journal that he was mention in, and it was enough to give Patrick chills. At the same time Wendy, Mabel, and Soos ran into the house. "We've gotta help Stan!"
"What are you talking about?" Dipper asked, glancing at Stan's sleeping body. "What's going on?"
Soos was eating some Nyums brand Burrito Bites as he explained to the boy. "This evil triangle guy said he's gonna break into Stan's mind and steal the combination to his safe! Also, we stopped for snacks on the way here."
"Which I said that we shouldn't have!" Wendy yelled out at him. She then grabbed the snacks and threw them against the corner.
"Triangle guy?" Dipper asked.
"That's right, and I know I've read about him before in the journal..." Patrick stopped his sentence when he came to the page. He looked at it in horror, remembering why this page scared him.
It was stained in blood. It was as if the Author was bleeding and used his own blood to write over and violently scribble over a large paragraph under a blackened image of Bill. Making it hard to make out what the words were. Under it were the words 'BILL CAN'T BE TRUSTED!'. In the upper right corner of the left page were labels of certain types of ciphers, each with a long lone crossing over them.
Patrick looked at a paragraph that wasn't scribbled out. "'Beware Bill, the most powerful and dangerous creature I've ever encountered," he read out loud, then noticing the words 'DO NOT SUMMON AT ALL COSTS!' written in the bottom right-hand corner of the right page. "Whatever you do, never let him enter your mind."
Everyone then heard grunting sounds coming from Stan in his sleep. Kicking his legs out and twitching as if he was having a bad dream.
The Mystery Crew then noticed something dark above the old man's head and gasped in a mixture of shock and horror. "Grunkle Stan!" Mabel cried, reaching out towards Stan.
Above Stan was the shadow of Bill. They were helpless to save him as it lowered down and entered into Stan's head. Stan's eyes opened and they started glowing an ominous blue. Stan's neck twisted in an unnatural way, as he started grunting while making more random movements. Just like when Patrick when he was possessed, his body was fighting for control. And Bill was winning.
Tearing her eyes away from the frightening sight, Wendy looked at Patrick. "What do we do?! He could die!" She yelled.
Patrick looked back into the journal to see if there was a solution. "'It is possible to follow the demon into a person's mind and prevent his chaos,'" he read out, flipping to the next page. "'One must simply recite this incantation.'"
"Ugh, this is just great," Dipper complained. "I spend all day cleaning sinks and fighting bats for Stan and now I have to save him from some crazy brain demon?"
"Quit the bitching, Dipper. Now's not the time for holding grudges!" Patrick said, closing the journal.
"He's right! If we don't do anything Gideon might steal the shack! Or worse!"
Stan's screaming brought everyone back. His eyes were still glowing, and it looked to be getting worse.
Seeing that was no way to avoid doing this, Dipper sighed. "Fine. What do we need to do," he asked Patrick.
Patrick opened the journal age to the page that had the instructions for the incantation. Lightning flashed from the outside, lighting up the darkened room and the page for a moment.
Patrick, Wendy, Dipper, Mabel, and Soos all gathered around a sleeping Stan in the living room. He was sleeping soundly with the lights off, as Wendy lit a circle of candles that were placed around her boss. Everything was ready for the incantation, so she blew out the match and stood next to Patrick and Mabel.
"So how do we do this?" the redhead asked, pulling out her ax from the back of her belt. Patrick had his crowbar in one hand and his laser shotgun in his sweater. He would have given Mabel the laser, but like that was going to happen. Not when she knew nothing about gun safety.
Holding Journal #3 in his hands, Dipper said, "In order to save our uncle, we're gonna have to follow that... dream demon into his mind."
"I wonder what Stan's thinking about right now," Soos wondered, staring at Stan thoughtfully. The big man then used Stan as a ventriloquist dummy, and started talking in a high voice. "I love Soos like a son!"
"Soos! This is serious!" Patrick shouted
Still using Stan's mouth in a high voice, Soos said, "Sorry!"
Mabel and Soos started laughing. "Soos! That is actually kind of funny." Wendy said, and the two coworkers high five each other.
With a roll of his eyes, Patrick sighed before putting on his determined face. "Get ready, guys. We're about to journey into the most horrifying, disturbing place any of us have ever been: our uncle's mind."
Patrick placed his hand on Stan's head. Then Dipper, Mabel, Wendy, and Soos also put their hands on the old man's head. Dipper held up the journal and read from it.
"Videntus omnium. Magister mentium. Magnesium ad hominem. Magnum opus. Habeas corpus! Inceptus Nolanus overratus! Magister mentium! Magister mentium! MAGISTER MENTIUM!" As Dipper spoke the words, his eyes started to glow blue. Then, Patrick's, then Wendy's, then Soos', then Mabel's eyes started glowing. Blue energy lighted up from Stan's head, blowing out the candles.
After the incantation, Stan's eyes opened, rolled over into his skull and started glowing again, and then there was a blue explosion.
Patrick has experienced telekinetic manipulation, time travel, being shrunk, swapped bodies with his cousins and Mabel's friends, and got possessed by an evil demon. However, being teleported into someone else's mind was an even weirder experience than he'd imagined.
When he and the others opened their eyes, they were sitting down on the ground. But looking around at their surroundings, they all made exclamations of awe and wonder.
Stan's mindscape was unlike anything they'd seen before. Everything was black and white, except for them, and in front of them was a twisted version of the Mystery Shack. It is flickery and gray. Dilapidated and falling apart while hanging off the edge of a cliff. In the background, the moon was shown to be a magic 8-ball. Everything that was inside the house was thrown out, including the chair.
There was also a broken swing set off to the side. Two of the seats were in fine condition, but there was one that was hanging off one of its chains.
"Whoa," Wendy said, summing up everything that they were all feeling. "This is pretty weird."
"It's about to get a whole lot weirder, Wen," Patrick said.
"So this is Stan's mind?" Mabel asked.
"I figured there would be more hot old ladies," Soos said.
"Please don't put that in my head," Dipper cringed.
"Be on your toes, everyone," Patrick warned the others, turning around to face the others and had his back to the Shack. "Remember everyone, we've got to look out for Bill Cipher."
"Yeah, look out for Bill Cipher!" Patrick gasped when he heard the auto-tuned, evil voice of Bill. He saw the others looking at something behind him with wide eyes. Whipping around, Patrick watched the demon float down to the patio of the building, spinning a can in his hand.
"It's him! It's the guy!" Soos exclaimed, pointing at Bill.
Mabel glared fiercely at the demon. "You leave our uncle's brain alone, you isosceles monster!" She then yelled a battle cry as she charged at Bill.
She threw herself at him, only to vanish inside of Bill's body. Bill pulled out a giant pocket watch and glanced at it for a second, before putting it away into whatever subspace it came out of. Mabel then came flying out of Bill, tumbling until she rested on her knees. Her arms crossed as if she'd caught him.
"Gotcha! Wait, what?" Mabel saw that she hadn't caught anything and looked back at Bill in disbelief.
Patrick drew his blaster and started shooting at Bill. But Bill stopped the laser bolts with his right hand. He stopped when he saw it wasn't hurting him, and just watched as Bill floated down and stood on the wooden deck. "Ah, Stan's family, we meet at last! Crowbar, Ice Bag, Question Mark, Shooting Star, Pine Tree, I had a hunch I might bump into you!"
With the same hand he used to stop Patrick's shots, Bill made a finger gun. Having not only stopped but absorbed the lasers, the triangle shot his own laser.
Shooting hole in Dipper's chest. Dipper screamed in terror and held his head in horror after witnessing his body pieced and missing a huge chunk of it. Struggling to breathe, he took deep breaths while looking down at his hole.
Mabel then came over and stuck her hand through the hole. "Boop!"
She, Soos, and Wendy laughed while Patrick let out a deep breath of relief. He was still alive, and that's all that mattered. "Mabel!" Dipper shouted angrily and pushed her hand out.
After calming down, Patrick put away his shotgun and glared up at Bill. "Alright, Bill, spill it! What do you want with our uncle's mind anyway?"
"Oh, just the code to the old man's safe!" Bill answered, flowing again while leaning back with his feet kicked up. "Inside the shack is a maze of a thousand doors representing your uncle's memories. Behind one of them is a memory of him inputting the code! I just need to find it and Gideon will pay me handsomely."
"Not if we stop you!" Wendy yelled, holding up her ax.
"Hah, fat chance! I'm the master of the mind." Bill rebuked the redhead. Blue flame encircles him. "I even know what you're thinking right now!"
"That's impossible, no one can guess what I'm thinking!" Mabel retorted defiantly.
Bill snapped his fingers and in a bright flash of bright purple and pink lights, he summoned two brightly colored and radical young men that were supposed to be around Patrick's age, but looked like they were in their thirties.
They were Mabel's dream boys, Xyler and Craz from Dream Boy High. Xyler was a tan, muscular man with black eyes and chin-length blond hair. He wore a sleeveless light turquoise shirt, navy blue armbands, white shorts with a navy blue line going down the side, and brown sandals. Craz, on the other hand, has navy blue hair, light blue eyes, and pale skin. He wore a fuchsia shirt with a red and white jacket, a black belt with a gold belt buckle, and turquoise jeans and white shoes.
"Whoa, where are we, bro?" Xyler asked, looking around that the black and white surroundings. Being even more colorful than the Mystery Crew.
"We must be in heaven, 'cause I just saw an angel!" Craz said, kneeling down and pointing to Mabel.
Mabel squealed and hugged Craz's leg. "I'm never letting go of your leg!" She yelled with a huge smile.
Bill then turned to Patrick, who was glaring at him. The teenager knew exactly what he was doing. Bill was showing them what they wanted to see to throw them off. "Congrats, you've brought to life to characters from a Highschool Musical knock-off," he said.
Bill's eye narrowed. "I see that you're going to be a problem, but I can fix that!" He then snapped his fingers again. Causing Patrick to explode in a puff of smoke.
"Patrick!" Wendy gasped, but was even more shocked by what she saw.
Patrick coughed as the dust settled and disappeared. He tried to look down, only to see that he didn't have a body anymore. He screamed in terror when seeing that all that remained was his head.
"You're out of your league, kids. Turn around now before you see something you might regret. Later, suckers!" Bill tipped his hat, floated up, and then crashed through the wall of mindscape Mystery Shack.
Wendy rushed over and picked up Patrick's head. "That's it! We're goin' in!" Patrick announced, looking determined.
Dipper looked over at his sister and the colorful boys she was with. "Mabel, can we leave those guys out here? Looking at them - hurts my eyes..." He groaned, shielding his face and squinting his eyes from the bright, vibration colors coming off the boys.
"No! They can help us!" Mabel defended, before gesturing to Patrick. "Especially how useless Patrick is now."
"Up yours!" Patrick yelled.
"Totally! Arm throne!" The fictional dudes linked their arms and picked up Mabel. The girl chuckled as they carried her into the Mystery Shack.
Wendy looked down at Patrick's and smirked, getting a funny idea. Holding him up with his head facing her, she placed her other hand on her chest and said in a very theatrical and overly dramatic voice, "To be, or not to be! That is the question..."
"Very funny." Patrick deadpanned.
Wendy laughed for a moment. It was always fun teasing him. "But seriously, she's got a point," she said to reason with him. "We're going to need all the help we can get."
Knowing that she was right, Patrick took a deep breath and exhaled. "Alright, but if one of them starts singing, someone's getting their legs bitten off!" He said.
"Deal!" Wendy carried her crush's head in her arms as she, Soos, and Dipper walked over to the Shack where Mabel and the dudes were at.
Wendy opened the door and everyone headed into the shack. They were all in awe at the place. It was larger on the inside than on the outside. Just as gray and rundown as it was on the outside, the inside had numerous halls, doors, and floating staircases that lead in different ways.
"Radical!" Craz yelled.
"I also think it's radical!" Xyler yelled.
The group then started walking down some stairs in front of them. Wendy held Patrick's head as she walked next to Dipper. Just then a Stan head with bat wings flew by Dipper walking, repeating. "No refunds! No refunds! No refunds!" The Stan-bat flew past a chained up door that had Stan's fears in it. They pasted by the door that held Stan's hopes, before arriving at a hall that contained all of Stan's memoirs.
"Whoa, look! All of Stan's memories!" Soos said, looking at all the different pathways that lead to other hallways. All along the hall were opened doors that played his memories. Memories like the party at the Mystery Shack and when he won and then lost that game show.
"Great," Dipper complained, rolling his eyes. Wendy was standing next to him. "Sure there's plenty of memories of Stan bossing me around, can't wait to see more of that."
"Dude, seriously. Take my advice and move on!" Wendy told him.
"She's right, we've gotta find the code before Bill does!" Mabel said.
"Mabel is talking!" Craz exclaimed.
"So rad!" Xyler said.
Patrick sighed in annoyance before looking down the hall. "We've got a lot of doors to cover, so let's get searching!" The gang ran down the hallway, splitting up to cover more ground.
Dipper opened a door and looked inside.
When he was much younger, Stan was in a prison uniform while sitting on the bench inside of a Colombian prison cell. There were two other inmates with him, and a guard standing in front of the cell. "Jorge, Rico, you're the two best Colombian prison friends a fellah could make," Stan said, threw his arms around the two men's shoulders.
"Espero que muera. ("I hope he dies.")," said Jorge, the inmate with chin-length brown hair, a brown mustache, a darker skin tone than Stan, and had on an eye patch
"Sí. (Subtitle reads "Sí.")," said Rico, the inmate with black hair, a darker skin tone than Stan, and a five o'clock shadow.
Dipper closed the door. "Nope!"
Soos opened another door and looked inside.
An even younger Stan was standing in front of a man's house. Dressed as a salesman, he was trying to sell the man a vacuum he had in his hands. "Sir, would you like to buy a Stan-Vac vacuum? Stan-Vac: It sucks more than anything," Stan announced his product, only for the man to shut the door on him. "Gotta work on that."
"Nope," Soos said, closing the door.
As Dipper walked past her, Mabel opened a small door. Gasping by what she saw inside of it. "Whoa, it's Stan on a date!"
This happened a few days after Mabel hooked Stan up with Lazy Susan. Their relationship never lasted for long, and it all happened on his first date with Lazy Susan. Both were dressed nicely and having a finely cooked meal. However, Stan was visually nervous. "So, your, uh... your eye is weird, let's... let's talk about that," he said, trying to start a conversation.
However, Lazy Susan just started laughing.
Stan started laughing nervously with her. However, his thoughts said, 'This is going terrible. I can't think of anything to say and she.. looks weird up close. Think of a way out!' So, doing the only thing he could think of, Stan stood up and yelled. "NON-SPECIFIC EXCUSE!" And with that, he knocked over his food and ran out of the restaurant. Able to be seen running outside from the window Lazy Susan was sitting at.
"Yeesh." Mabel cringed and closed the door.
Wendy was about to walk past a door when she stopped to look at the label. "Nora's Grudge" was written on it. Patrick saw it and it made his eyes widen. "Nora...That's mom's name!" He told the ginger.
"You're mom has a grudge against Stan?" Wendy looked down at him with a raised eyebrow.
"Oh yeah, she didn't want me to come to Gravity Falls all because of something that went down when she came to stay for one summer. She never did tell me," Patrick explained, looking up at her as best as he could, being ahead and all.
Wendy reached and grabbed the handle. "Well, let's see what really happen," she said and opened the door.
It was a dark and stormy night, and the Stanmobile was speeding down a long, lonely road at well over the speed limit. Inside the car was Stan himself and a young girl around Patrick and Wendy's. The girl, Nora, looked like she was just scared for life, while Stan looked like he'd done something horrible and was regretting some of his life choices.
"I can't believe you kill him," Nora said, filled with a mixture of grief and disbelief. "He was so innocent...and you killed him..."
"He knew too much," Stan said.
"He wasn't going to tell anyone! He can't even talk!" Nora screamed at Stan, punching him in the arm.
"Alright! Alight, look, everything's going to be okay." Stan pulled off the road. The two then got out of the car and walked towards the back. "Let's just get rid of the body and drive off. It's not like he has parents that'll go looking for him," he said, grabbing the handle to the trunk and was about to open it.
Suddenly, police sirens blared and bright lights were shined on them. Stan and Nora gasped and turned whipped around. Seeing a whole squad of police aiming their guns at the pair.
"Freeze! You're under arrest for the first-degree llamacide!" One officer shouted.
Wendy closed the door. Both she and Patrick had wide eyes and were silent for a moment. "Well, that explains a lot," said the teenage head.
"But wait, what if there are other doors that are labeled?" Wendy asked with realization. She had Patrick face her and explained. "We just have to look for the one that's labeled with Stan's code to the safe!"
"There's one right here!" Dipper called from where he stood. The others walked over to him and saw that he'd discovered a door written "Dipper Memories." But there was also a warning to keep out. "Memories about me!" He opened the door to see that it led down another hallway.
"That doesn't seem like a good idea," Soos said, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"I just wanna know what the old guy really thinks of me," Dipper told him.
"We already know how Stan feels about us! He loves us! We're great," Mabel said, before walking away.
"Yeah. Let's just keep moving," Patrick said. Wendy continued to carry him as she and Soos followed Mabel.
"More moving?" asked Craz with excitement.
"Yes! I love motion!" Xyler exclaimed as the two of them followed the others.
Dipper also followed for a few feet, but stopped, letting the two dudes pass him. He then ran back to the door and opened it. Slipping through it without alerting the others. He couldn't help himself. He had to know.
"Okay. Just a quick peek," he told himself. Dipper walked by the many doors as the sound Stan calling Dipper echoed all throughout the hallway. Some of them commanding him to do some kind of chore. Choosing randomly, Dipper walked in front of one of them. Determined to know the truth, he opened the door.
Inside this memory was the time that Stan was making Dipper chop firewood. Both were on the front porch, with Graunt Veronica sitting on the couch. "No buts! Now go and chop that firewood already!" Stan yelled at him, before hitting Dipper's head with a rolled-up newspaper he had.
Dipper sighed while holding his head, and walked over to the chopping to chop the firewood. He didn't even know why Stan would want firewood in the middle of Summer.
Stan sat down on the couch next to his cousin. "Stan, really. He's just a boy," Veronica scolded him, pausing her knitting to talk to Stan. "Why are you being so hard on your great-nephew all the time?"
"Look, Veronica, I'm gonna let you in on something. Wanna know what I really think?"
Leaning in, Stan started whispering to Veronica something. Dipper leaned in to listen to what Stan is talking about.
"...The kid's a loser. He's weak! He's an utter embarrassment! I just wanna get rid of him."
Dipper's eyes widened as those words entered into his ears. Suddenly, it all made sense. He closed the door, depressed.
After Dipper wandered off, the others continued the search for the door with the code. "Hello? Code to Stan's safe? Where are you?" Soos called out, as the two boys from Mabel's movie opened and closed two doors.
"Opening and closing doors is fun!" Xyler exclaimed.
Craz agreed with. "I can do it also!"
"WILL YOU TWO SHUT UP!" Patrick screamed as Wendy calmly continued walking. Even she was starting to get annoyed. Seriously, why would Mabel like them? It was a stupid movie that was trying to cash-in on the High School Musical craze.
Soos approached one door and opened it.
Inside the door, it was night time, and Stan was pushing the buttons of the vending machine. The vending machine opened and the secret hallway with lights inside it appeared. Stan walked behind the vending machine, before turning around to make sure that no one was around. "If only people knew the truth, that hidden behind this vending machine, we secretly have a-"
"BORING!" Soos yelled, closing the door before anyone else could see it. Not understanding the discovery he'd just made.
The others gathered behind Mabel as she stood in front of a door written "Top Secret" on top of it. With a smile, she stated, "Alright guys, I have a good feeling about this door." Mabel opened the door, and exposed everyone to a horror they weren't prepared for.
"Hey, Mr. Tummy!" Stan said to his stomach, wearing only his boxers in the bathroom. He changed his voice and used his hands to make it look like his stomach was talking. "Hey, Mr. Stan!" Stan returned back to his normal voice. "Are you hungry?" He changed his voice again. "Yes!"
"AAH...sick!" Soos, Wendy, and Patrick cringed in disgust.
"Sweet Sally!" Mabel quickly slammed the door shut. Ending the horror show.
Well, after experiencing something she never wanted to ever see again, Wendy sighed "Hah, we've been searching forever! And we've still got a hundred more to go!" she exclaimed, referring to the lifetime's worth of memories that they're still to see.
"What if the triangle guy finds the memory before we do?" Soos said.
"If we wanna find Stan's memory, we gotta think like Stan," Mabel said, tapping her chin with her finger.
Patrick's eyes widened when he realized something. "Wait, Mabel, that's it! He's always hiding stuff, right?"
"Yeah! Like how he hides his arrest warrants under that rug in the gift shop?" Soos said with a nod
"Well then look over there!" Patrick nodded forward with his head towards a rug on the floor. They all walked over to the rug and Mabel bent down, pulling the rug back to reveal a door under it. This one wasn't like the other doors. It was more like what a treehouse entrance would look like.
All of them gasped, wondering if this was the one they were looking for. Mabel then opened the door and they all looked down into it.
Stan was walking to the safe with the deed in hand. Giving it a kiss, he placed it into the safe. "There ya go," he said, before closing the safe door. "And now to input the code. 13, 44, and finally..."
Soos closed the door before they could hear the whole code. "Dude! we found it!" He said.
"Yeah!" Patrick, Mabel, and Wendy cheered.
"But what do we do now?" Xyler and Craz asked. "Jinx!"
Patrick's face turned to a thinking expression. What were they going to do with it? "I know! Let's just destroy the door before Bill can find it!" He said.
Wendy's eyes filled with excitement. Wendy held Patrick's head to Mabel for her to take. "I've got this. I've been wanting to break something all day," the ginger said. Mabel took Patrick and with her hands freed, Wendy pulled out her ax from her belt. Going down on her knees, she brought her ax up to bring it down.
"Wait!" Soos shouted, stopping her. "Maybe I should do it! My big fat arms are great at destroying stuff!" He flexed his arm.
"Oh, okay," Wendy said, putting her ax back in her belt. Taking a step back to let him do whatever he was going to do.
However, that's when things started to get really weird. Soos held out his hand over the door, looking at it with a hard expression. The others looked at him in confusion, before gasping when the door a blue lights from the door. A second later, it began to lift up with some kind of psychic power.
As he did this, another Soos walked over, completely oblivious to the second him that was standing next to him. "Hey, guys! I just saw a memory of Stan roller skating and wearing short-shorts! Didn't look...didn't look that bad!" Soos said. The others were glancing between him and the second Soos with wide eyes. Noticing their eyes moving from him and the other him, Soos looked at the other Soos. Realizing that he was talking to a copy of himself. "Hey, something weird is goin' on here."
The second Soos laughed an all too familiar evil, creepy voice laugh. His two eyes morphed into one eye, and the gang gasped when his form turned back into Bill Cipher.
Soos ran over to hide behind Mabel and Wendy. "Boy, you kids sure are gullible! I knew you'd lead me straight to the code!" Bill said and laughed again. "It's funny how dumb you are. And now I have the combination to Stan's safe. Boy, that was even easier then I thought!"
"You wouldn't get away with this!" Wendy yelled, pointing at him.
"Yeah, you-you stink face!" Mabel yelled.
Xyler said, "Awesome comeback, Mabel!"
"Don't treat me like a child, Xyler."
"Later, suckers!" Bill exclaimed, flying away, backward.
"We've gotta save Stan!" Patrick said, still in Mabel's hands.
"What's the point?" They all turned around and saw Dipper coming down from a flight of stairs. Looking depressed and bitter as he walked up to them. "Why should I save him, huh?" he asked rudely. "I work for Stan day and night and all he does in return is say he wants to get rid of me."
Mabel walked up to him with Patrick. "Dipper, I'm sure that's not true," she told him, trying to reassure him."
"I saw it with my own eyes in one of his memories, Mabel!" Dipper snapped. "He always picked on me and now I know why. Stan hates me!"
"You can't really believe that, Dipper," Patrick said. He didn't know what he saw, but it must have been something heavy. "Look, just put aside what you saw. It doesn't matter right now. If we don't stop Bill, we'll lose the Shack!"
"No! You know what? Not this time. For once this is one of Stan's problems I'm not gonna fix," Dipper said.
"I can't believe this! You're just gonna let Gideon win and take the Shack?!" Patrick shouted furiously.
Whoa! Back up! Stan doesn't even want me here! Why should I continue to even stay here with a guy like him? Someone that doesn't even see me as family? You can do whatever you want, but when we get out of here, I'm going home!"
"But the Shack-!"
"It's over, Patrick. I'm done," Dipper said, before turning around with his arms crossed.
Patrick glared at him and sighed, "Thanks for nothing!" Mabel carried him as she led the others in their chase for Bill. Leaving Dipper alone.
As the gang chased after him, Bill floated down the hall. Laughing maniacally as he magically opening every door he passed. The sound of a phone ringing stopped him. Bill landed on and the ground and touched his bow tie, making it turn into a small window with Gideon's face. "Y'ello?" Bill answered, answering the call from the evil boy.
"Bill! Did you find the memory with the combination yet?" Gideon impatiently asked
"Relax, short stack. I got it right here."
Gideon's face lit up and his evilly laughed. "Perfect. Now give it to me and we'll finish our bargain."
Bill pulled out the door. "Finally! It's-you got a pen there?" Gideon pulled out a notepad and pen. Bill looked at the memory door and started reading out loud the code. "It's 13, 44..."
Suddenly, Wendy's ax was thrown, chopping into the wooden door, and knocked it out of Bill's hand.
"Ah! No no no! Wait, no!" Bill chased after it, but the door fell into another memory that was left open. This one was the one in which Stan showed the Bottomless Pit to the kids.
"...and none more bottomless than the bottomless pit! Which you can see here is bottomless," Stan told the kids and Soos, standing a sign that said 'Bottomless Pit'. The family then saw the door come out of nowhere and then fall down into the large, round hole in the ground. Never to be seen again.
"What the hell was that?" Patrick asked, as they all stared down the pit.
"Whatever that was, it's gone forever!"
The door slammed shut.
Bill and Gideon stared in total disbelief at what'd just happened. The two looked behind to see that it was indeed Wendy who threw the ax. With her were Mabel, with Patrick in her arms, Soos, and the two dudes.
Wendy laughed triumphantly. "How do you like that, bitch!?" She exclaimed with a victorious smirk. "That's what happens when you mess with a Corduroy!"
"Wendy, that was amazing!" Patrick's head exclaimed with a big smile.
"Alright!" Xyler and Craz high fived.
"The Shack is safe!" Soos and Mabel cheered, joining in the celebration.
"The deal's off!" Gideon yelled furiously at Bill.
"Wa-wait! No! Wait!" Bill said, waving his arms in protest.
"I'm switchin' to plan B!"
The screen turned off, cutting to static when the call ended. Bill's body cracked before shattering to pieces, like if he was made of glass and someone just broke him. Leaving only his limbs, hat, and eye. Then Bill's body reappears, but it wasn't the same. The color of his body turned red and his eye turned black with a white pupil and red iris. His hat, limbs, and outlines are white.
Trembling in fury, he whipped around with an enraged glare and pointed at the humans. "YOU! You can't even imagine what you just cost me!" He yelled at them. Bill held out his hands behind him and conjured a ball of fire in each of them. "Do you have any idea what I'm like..." His voice changed to a low, demonic one. "WHEN I'M MAD?!"
Bill started flashing several cryptic characters in his eye and projecting them on their faces and chests. The gang looked very afraid for what was going to happen, and rightfully so. Bill launched the fires from his hands and created a ring of fire around them. Trapping them in it. Bill then raised his hand up high, and a giant rock in the shape of Stan's head popped out from their feet and raises up. Lifting the group out of the grey mindscape and into an infinite space cosmos
The triangular dream demon's size started increasing. Growing larger until he was towering over the frightened Mystery Crew. Mabel, Wendy, and Patrick gasped in horror. Soos pointed at Bill. "So I guess he gets really mad when he gets mad," he simply pointed out.
"EAT NIGHTMARES!" Bill's demonic voice roared, shooting lightning from his hands.
All of them screamed in terror.
"Ugh! How do I get out of this place?" Dipper grumbled, walking down a random hallway. Still trying to find his way out of the dream Shack. Pasting by several doors, he started opening some at random. "Exit? Hello?" He opened another door, only to see that it was the same memory of him chopping wood. His expression souring. "Aw, this again?"
"He's a loser. He's weak. I just wanna get rid of him." Hearing those words again, Dipper held onto the doorknob and started to close the door. "Heh, yeah. Remember when people said that about me when we were kids?"
"Huh?" Dipper reopened the door with wide eyes. He leaned in to listen to what the elderly were saying.
"It was terrible. I was the biggest wimp on the playground!" Memory Stan said. Another door of Stan's memory opened behind Dipper.
It showed Stan as a young boy, maybe 8 years old, standing in the rain. He was hit in the face by a soccer ball thrown at him a group of bullies. They laughed at him, only for the one that threw the ball to get hit in the back of the head by a rock. He yelled out in pain and they looked behind them to see a young Veronica glaring at them. Before her hair turned grey, her hair was as black as Patrick's and was worn in a ponytail. She wore glass, cut jeans, sandals, a lose colorful shirt, and a baseball hat. (AN: Just think of Lisa Simpson when she was dress like a hippie.)
The bullies were scared of her and ran away. Veronica walked over to Stan to see if he was okay, but the boy away with tears in his eyes.
Dipper at the memory sadly before the door of it closed. "I remember that Uncle Filbrick signed you up for boxing lessons," Memory Veronica, causing another memory door to open.
"And it was even worse than the schoolyard!" Memory Stan said.
In this memory, Stan was in his boxing lesson. He was getting pinned under another, larger kid that was punching him repeatedly. "Left Hook!" Young Stan yelled and punched his opponent back in the jaw. In the background, Filbrick Elmer Pines nodded his head when seeing his son fighting back.
The door to that memory closed and Dipper looked down at the ground and put his hands in his pockets. So that's were Stan got his way of being tough on him. "Y'know, that time I thought my pop was trying to torture me. But wouldn't you know it? The old man was doin' me a favor all along!" Another door of Stan opened and Dipper looked at it.
In this memory, Stan appeared to be a nerd. He was standing in the line of a movie theater that was premiering Grandpa the Kid. Behind him was his future ex-girlfriend, Carla "Hotpants" McCorkle. She was a voluptuous woman with long, curly brown hair, long eyelashes, and an olive skin tone. When she first met Stan, she was wearing a pink poodle skirt and a long-sleeved, aqua blue v-neck, and had a white flower in her hair.
As the two were standing behind one another, a man dressed like a greaser walked up behind her and tried to steal Carla's bag. "Give me that bag!" He shouted, grabbing the bag and tried to pull it away.
Carla held on as best as she could and screamed. "Help! My purse! Help!"
That brought something out of Stan and he yelled, "Left Hook!" He whipped around and punched the man in the face. Knocking him to the ground. The people all around Stan cheers for him and Carla gave him a kiss, beginning their relationship.
The door closed and Dipper turned back to Stan and Veronica. "You see it, Veronica? That why I'm hard on Dipper. To toughen him up. So when the world fights, he fights back," he said. Realizing that he had Stan all wrong, Dipper smiled. He really did care about him.
"Do you think it's actually working?" Veronica asked. Stan pointed at Memory Dipper. He brought down the ax, finally managing to chop the wood in a half. They watched as Dipper shouted and cheered in victory.
"He's really comin' along! When push comes to shove, I'm actually proud of him." Stan said before leaning to Veronica. "Just... don't ever tell him that. His head is big enough as it is."
Veronica chuckled. "That's true."
Deeply touched by the memory, Dipper grinned and placed his hand on the memory. Suddenly he accidentally fell through the barrier and into the memory. Stumbling into flashback, before Stan and Veronica turned their heads to him.
The old man glanced at the other Dipper that was apart of the memory before looking back at the real one. "Whoa, kid, what are you doin' here? Nice hole in your chest, by the way. Let's fix that up."
Stan pointed his finger at the hole in Dipper's chest and lifted it upwards. The hole regeneration and repaired itself. Closing it as if it never happened. "Wh-what the- How did you do that?" Dipper asked in astonishment.
"Word to the wise, kid. We're in the mind! You can do whatever you imagine in here!" Waving his hand, Stan created a Pitt Cola. Then commanded the tab to open on its own.
"Well, how about that?" Dipper said at the new information. Suddenly the sound of fighting, Soos' and Mabel's screaming echoed outside from the memory. Along with a flash of light from Bill's power. His face turned to a fearful expression. "Oh my gosh, what am I doing? I gotta stop Bill!" Dipper took off running out of the memory.
Stan watched his nephew leaving, before grinning. "Huh, fighting back."
"One nightmare, coming up!" Bill yelled, lighting a beam of fire from his finger at Soos.
"Nightmare? Hope he doesn't mean that British Taxi I'm always dreaming about..." Soos admitted, scratching the back of his head. The laser hit the ground right in front of the big guy. Appearing from it was a black British taxi with teeth. It was the same taxi from Ello Gov'nor. A 1982 British movie about A driver of the British Taxi is murdered by gang members, and the driver's soul possesses the taxi. Immediately, the taxi goes around town, running over people and using its grill to chew them up.
"'Ello Gov'nor!" The taxi said menacingly, before baring its grid-teeth, laughed evilly, and drove at Soos.
Soos screamed and ran away from the chasing taxi. "It's everything I've ever feared!"
"You!" Bill yelled, looking right at Mabel. When the laser strikes at her, Mabel dropped Patrick's head as her worst nightmare came to life. She screamed when she saw herself become ugly and her head became larger and turned green. "My cuteness!" She grabbed her face as her voice distorted. "What did you do to my cutenetttttthhhhhh...?" Her voice became low and she blew a raspberry.
Wendy ran over and picked up Patrick when Bill turned his attention to Xyler and Craz. "You're next!" He pointed and shot a laser at them.
"Cool! We're next!" Craz said and started dancing with Xyler. But they both got knocked off the rock by Bill's beam. They both fell down before burning up and vanishing.
In a low voice, Mabel yelled, "My dream boys!"
Wendy and Patrick stared at the horror show going on in horror, before the head of the teenager was blasted with a laser. Knocking Patrick out her arms. "Patrick!" She yelled and was about to pick him up when he started to transform.
Patrick yelled in pain as his head bobbled and a body started to grow out of his neck. Patrick's skin turned blue, and his head was now connected to a body that was nothing but a stump or a neck, which resembled the body of a bugle. The bottom appeared to have a snail-like foot representing the bugle's bell. On the right side of his body, he has a short, thin limb with a rectangular "hand" attached to it. On the left side of his body, he had a long twisted tube that connects to Patrick's head, which is surrounded by bumps. He also had a horn on the right side of his head at the top.
Wendy backed away while staring at Patrick's new body in horror, before she was hit with a laser. Wendy looked at her arms and watched in terror as they turned back into the claws of a werewolf. "No...NO! PLEASE, NO!" Wendy begged as she fell on the ground, screaming in agony as her body started to transform into a werewolf all over again. About to relive the nightmare that haunted her.
"Wendy..." Patrick moaned out, unable to move his body. Suddenly, a new head grew out of his chest. He watched as it formed a distorted human face with a small mouth, a long crooked nose, and baggy eyes set far apart from each other. It was attached to a thin neck that stretched out with two small tentacles.
The head leaned downed and rubbed his tentacles on his face.
"You're not perfect," it said. Patrick stared up at it with wide eyes and mouth open.
"And now to finish you all once in for all!" Bill shouted, pointing his finger at Patrick, Wendy, Soos, and Mabel.
This was it. This was the end.
Of it would have been if Dipper didn't come flying in with a light blue glow around his body. "Hey! Bill!" He yelled at the evil demon.
"WHAT?!" Bill shouted in shock.
"Nice bow tie!" Dipper fired red laser out of his eyes and blasted a hole in Bill's chest, making him scream and looked at the hole.
"Dipper!" Mabel cheered in a low voice, running up to her brother with the deformed Patrick in her hands.
"You're back!" Patrick cheered too.
"Dude!" Soos greeted, panting after being chased. Wendy ran over to join, still a werewolf but was at least in control of her actions.
Dipper floated over to them with a big grin. "Guys! I just learned that you can conjure whatever you can conceive in Grunkle Stan's mindscape!" He explained.
"Huh?" The others questioned.
However, Patrick knew exactly what Dipper was saying, he looked at the other head growing out of him. As it looked disappointed and sadly at him, Patrick grinned defiantly. Jumping out of Mabel's hands, he landed on the floor and used his mind to glow bright yellow. A moment later, he was reformed back to his normal self.
Standing up, Patrick opened his eyes and grinned. "Just think of cool fighting stuff and it will happen. Like this!" He pulled out his shotgun laser and transformed it into the Arasaka HLR-12X Heavy Laser Rifle from the anime movie Akira. With the large battery pack hangs at his waist level from a shoulder strap on him, Patrick placed the laser rifle on his shoulder and aimed it at the British Taxi. Firing a powerful laser beam at the taxi, destroying it completely in an explosion.
Soos laughed and pointed at where the taxi once was, "He's dead now."
"What?! Who told you that!" Bill demanded, pointing at Dipper. However, the others just saw Patrick using his mind to return to normal. He waved his arms in protest. "Don't listen to him!"
Mabel and Wendy looked at each other with grins. "We can do anything?" The two girls then used their minds to comes back to normal. With her voice back to the way it was, Mabel looked at her fists. "Like have kittens for fists?" She transformed her fists into kitten heads and started firing them at Bill from her sleeves "Po-pow! P-p-pow! Pow!"
All kitten flew towards Bill and stuck onto him. Bill screamed as the cat completely covered him from head to toe and repeatedly bit him.
The kittens that remained on Mabel's hands started licking her and she laughed. "Well hello, friends!"
"Anything, huh?" Soos asked before grabbing the bottom of his shirt. "Soos love stomach beam stare!" He lifted up his shirt and shot colorful question marks from his stomach at Bill. Knocking the demon off the and into space.
Wendy ran in front of the group and yelled, "Oh no you don't!" She stretched out her arm and grew her hand to giant size. Grabbing Bill and pilling him back. Wendy then enlarged her other fist and punched Bill in the face, knocking him down to the ground.
Bill regeneration the hole in his body and glared at the gang. "Enough games!" He shouted. Turning his eye into a cannon, he shoots out a laser at the ground, burning a trail as he started moving it towards them.
"Hamster ball shields: activate!" Mabel shouted, and created a pinkish-purple hamster ball around herself.
"Activate!" The rest of them shouted together, creating a hamster ball around themselves.
The laser fired from Bill got reflected by the hamster ball and sent right back at him. Hitting Bill in right back in the eye. "AH! Oh my eye! AAH!" Bill screamed, dropping to his knees and holding his eye as it smoked.
Mabel, Patrick, Dipper, Wendy, and Soos' hamster ball broke. "Rise, Xyler! Rise, Craz!" Mabel order, raising her hands with each boy's name she called. Xyler and Craz rose from behind her back with musical instruments. Bathing in bright neon lights. The two begin playing synthesized music.
"No! Synthesized music! It hurts!" He cried, moving his hands from his eye to where his ears would have been located.
"And now to imagine your worst nightmare!" Dipper shouted. They all stood in front of the triangle and stared at him in defiance. "A portal out of Stan's mind!"
Mabel created a microphone and sang into it. "Out of Stan's mi-ind!"
"Mabel!" Patrick snapped at her. He then turned back at Bill. "Now, everyone, together!"
The gang all closed their eyes tightly and started to imagine a portal. Slowly, but surely, a hole below Bill appears.
"No, no, no!" Bill shouted, kicking his legs. "ENOUGH!"
With a loud bang, there was no rock head and space disappeared. Bill had turned the entirety of Stan's mind into a white void. Leaving the gang floating in it. Patrick was floating alongside his cousins as they all tried to make sense of what Bill had down. They all were back to the way they were before entering into Stan's mind, including Patrick's laser and crowbar were back in his hands.
They all then looked up at Bill as he took off his hat and rubbed it with his arm. "You know, I've been impressed with you guys," he admitted, placing the hat back on his head. "You are more clever than you look. Especially the fat one."
Soos nudged Wendy and whispered. "He's talking about you-OOFF!" Wendy was quick to punch him in the face.
"So I'm gonna let you kids off the hook. You might come in handy later. BUT KNOW THIS," He said in his demonic voice, holding up his arms above him and summoning a six-fingered hand out of blue flames. "A darkness approaches. A day will come in the future when everything you care about will change!" He let the symbol disappear before tipping his hat off to them. "Until then I'll be watching you!" The white void turned to black and the zodiac appeared around him, glowing blue. Bill's body turned completely yellow and a brightened light ran around the symbols. "I'LL BE WATCHING YOU..."
With his final warning echoing, Bill disappeared and the mindscape turned white again
"He's gone!" Dipper cheered. "We did it!" The gang cheered for their victory. Wendy floated over to Patrick and hugged him with a smile. Patrick blushed when she did, and when Wendy realized what she was doing, quickly released him and averted her gaze from him in embarrassment.
Suddenly their bodies began to fade away. Flicking and their legs started to disappear. Patrick looked at his hand and gasped when he saw it was completely gone. "Stan must be waking up," he said.
Mabel floated over to Xyler and Craz to say her final farewell. "Will I ever see you guys again?"
"In your dreams," Craz said, as Mabel hugged them.
"Good one, bro. Good one," said Xyler.
The gang all closed their eyes, and everything went white.
When Patrick and the gang opened their eyes, they woke up in the living room. They shouted in surprise as they bolted upright. Looking around to see that they were back in the Mystery Shack. The real Mystery Shack.
"We did it!" Mabel cheered, throwing her fists up.
"What? Did what?" The gang turned to look over at Stan. Having just woken up from his sleep, he rubbed his face and looked at them in confusion. "What are you all doing here? And why was I dreaming of two brightly colored and radical young men?"
Patrick smirked. "Because you secretly love Dream Boy High?" He teased, earning a laugh from Wendy.
"Grunkle Stan! You're okay!" Dipper chirped, running up to Stan and hugged him around his neck. Closing his eyes happy, while Stan looked around in confusion
"What is this, a hug?" He asked, wondering what changed in the boy's behavior.
"Nope! It's a choke hold." Dipper moved around and started choking Stan in said choke hold. Patrick, Mabel, Wendy, and Soos laughed. After a few seconds, Dipper stopped choking Stan after the old man pried him off him and placed the boy on the dinosaur table.
Stan rubbed his neck and he chuckles. "Not bad, kid. Not bad," he said, the two of them smiling at each other.
"I'm just glad Gideon didn't get into the safe," Patrick said. Placing his hand on Mabel's shoulder, he looked around the inside of the house. "I hate to admit it, but after living here for a while, I've really come to love this old shack."
"Group hug!" Soos shouted, throwing his arms into the air. There was a pause in the room as the others looked at him oddly. "No? I never know the right time!"
Wendy, however, thought from a moment. Why did she feel like there was something they were forgetting. A second later, her eyes widened when she remembered something. "Patrick, didn't Gideon say something about a plan B?"
At that moment, they all felt the Shack starting to shake as if there was a tremor going on. Patrick looked at the others and asked, "Hey, do you guys feel...?"
KA-BOOM!
A violent explosion happened from the wall behind the sofa, blowing them away from it and knocking everyone across the room against the wall. They all laid on the ground in agony, surrounded by debris and rubble from the rock wall. Despite being banged up from the explosion, none of them were hurt in any serious way. With the ringing in his ears coming to a stop, Patrick lifted his head up to see what caused it. He saw a small figure walking through the hole in the wall. The sunset casting a shadow on the front of the person. However, it didn't take long to figure out who it was, as the person came walking over to them.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Pines family. Did I wake you?" Gideon Gleeful asked, with fake concern, holding the deed to the Shack in his hand. Thumping it against the other hand.
Patrick's eyes widened in shock and confusion. "But...how?"
"We defeated Bill!" Dipper added.
"Bill failed me! So I switched to plan B: dynamite!" Gideon explained.
"What? Bill? Who? What the hell are you guys talking about?" Stan questioned, looking between his family, their family, and Gideon in confusion.
"Spoiler alert, Stanford! I've got the deed!" Gideon unrolled the deed to show the family. "The Mystery Shack belongs to me! So get out of my property!" He yelled at the Mystery Crew. Gideon then pulled out a walkie talkie from his jacket and pressed the button to talk. "Daddy? Bring it around the front."
He turned and walked out of the Shack, leaving the people of the Mystery Shack to stare at him in horror. "Don't worry, guys! It's just part of the dream! We're gonna wake up any second now! Right? Right?!" Dipper said, trying to brighten the mood and reassure them.
However, the ground started to rumble alongside the sounds of a vehicle coming closer. Patrick ran outside to see something that made his eyes widened in terror. Turning back to the others, he yelled. "EVERYONE CLEAR OUT! NOW!"
Bud Gleeful drove a crane with a wrecking ball to the Shack at full speed. Gideon was standing next to the driver's seat, laughing maniacally as his father operated the machine. Coming to a stop and the wrecking swung forward, smashing the Mystery Shack's sign.
After all of them had made it out safely, the Pines family, Soos, and Wendy screamed when the sign was destroyed. The twins were hugging Patrick's sides as he placed a hand on their shoulders for comfort. But all he could do was stare at the destruction unfolding in front of him. "Someone pinch me, dude..." Soos said in disbelief, right before the broken sign falls in front of the gang.
This was no dream. Their worst nightmare has come true.
They lost the Mystery Shack
Gideon has won.
To Be Continued...
AN: As I've come to working on the last chapter of the first season of Voltron: Legendary Defender for "Become ONE", I realized that I could kill two birds with one stone. I'll finish both first seasons for that story and "Weirder Things"!
And so we finally come to halfway point in the story. We finally meet Bill and the horrors that he's able to inflict on the human mind. "Dreamscaperers" is definitely one of my favorite episodes and it was fun reimagining it. I decided to include Wendy in the chapter because I wanted her to be on this adventure too, as she's apart of the gang. Her relationship with Patrick is growing, and we'll be reaching a very high moment for them in the next chapter.
I've put in references from Courage and Regular Show in the chapter, and it was funny to do it. Soos' fear of the British Taxi was more for laughs, however, Patrick's nightmare of him turning into the fetus creature from the Courage episode "Perfect" was more for horror. I was going to have Wendy's nightmare be those Huggstables from the episode "Sleep Fighter", but I didn't want the scene to be too humorous. Plus, it also shows that she's still afraid of trying back into a werewolf again. Kind of adding a layer of character to her.
There was also a joke from Family Guy that was added in. Also was High School Musical really that popular back then or was I just making that up? I know that there are like 17.9K fanfics about it, but did anyone really like it?
If you remember in the very first chapter of the story, you'll know that Patrick's mother had something against Stan that made her hesitant to send her son to him for the summer. And now we see why. If you remember in the episode "The Stanchurian Candidate", one of Stan's crimes was something called llamacide. While I think it was meant to be a joke, I decided to not make it a joke, but an actual horrible crime that Stan committed and just so happened to drag Nora into it.
Man, it turned out to be not as graphic as I had first imagined it to be, but that memory was still pretty dark. At first, it seemed like they killed a mute kid, only to be revealed to being a llama.
Also, I've added two more symbols to the zodiac. A crowbar, and an eagle with a magnifying glass. Patrick is the crowbar, and I'm sure you all know who the eager is.
The next chapter will be the big one. "Gideon Rises" was the one that set the stage for the bigger plot at play in Gravity Falls and it'll be the same way for "Weirder Things". Secrets with be revealed and even bigger questions will be asked. I hope you all are ready.
Sorry for hyping it up like that, I'll stop now.
Thank you very much for reading. "Weirder Things" will return. Please be sure to Favorite and Follow if you like the story, and also Review it so that I know that I'm doing good and what to improve. If you any questions or discussions you'd have for me, then please in a Review or a PM me.
Thank you for reading, may God bless you, and have a wonderful day.
