Hey guys. Sorry for the break in uploads. I had to move and didn't have internet for a while.

Cultural trip today. Went to Meowschwits. I have never been in such awe. The air was palpable. Just truly oppressive. What happened there…the full story of what happened there. If anyone happens to read this journal please look into the history. I'm known for making some off-color jokes, but after today? I think that topic is out of rotation for at least a very long time. On a brighter note also got to tour a castle that was the seat of power for the Meutonic Order. That was awesome. But in a more fun kind of way.

Did training with the local military today. Learned how to rappel. It was pretty sick. Got to trade patches with a guy who was also a corporal. Good day.

Snowed again. And I must say that this place is just beautiful. Watching the sun come up as I have my first smoke and pmcs my truck has become my morning routine, and I must say I love it. The rolling tops of the hills glinting the sun off the shimmering white of the snow is just something else. It's the one true time of peace I get out here. No stress. No worries. Just me, my truck, and nature. I think about what I'll do when I get home. Sometimes I think about work and the stresses and screw ups I've made, but I use the time to try and sort through it and be constructive with it. But most of the time my mind is blank, only thinking about the truck and the view. I wish I wasn't here for work.

Still working on that radio shot. We just got the plan from the contractor helping us, and we are now trying to design the antenna. Nerd fun is through the roof.

Did more rappel training today. This time at an actual cliff. If you ever wondered: yes rappelling with a 20 pound machine gun on your back is hard. Still lots of fun. Also got to trade cigs with a local. Finally got my paws on some Zootopian ones and he was happy to try.

IT WORKED! THE RADIO SHOT WENT THROUGH! I can't describe how happy I am. And in the middle of a mini blizzard too! Damn am I proud. Set the record. Almost 5000 miles! I know there will be longer ones in the future as software and equipment improve, but damn that felt good. I couldn't believe it when I heard the voice come through our mic. Fuck that's awesome.

Well we might actually have to go in. I was the highest ranking for our shop due to other trips and such, so I had to sit in with the commanders and brief the commo plan. It was nerve wracking, but some of the Lieutenants said I did a good job, as well as the NCO's. So I will believe them and assume it went well. I'm not a huge fan of going to all these meetings, but it's good learning experiences for when I promote.

Thank Gaia. We won't have to go in. To be honest I'm torn. I want to see action, but I am also glad we wont because the move would've been a massive pain in the ass. The rehearsals made that clear. Also the fact that if we made contact 90 per cent of us were expected to die? Oh well. Back to boredom I guess.

Finished my second book. I am half way through my book supply, and we just got extended out here. I hope the other two will hold out.

Another month done and still no end in sight. Also new term: PMCS= basically just a maintenance check on vehicles and equipment. Thanks for reading!

'Til next time,
