Hey y'all, I decided to take a crack at fanfic mixing Oregairu and RWBY. Some of you may know me from my other story, An Uchiha's Second Chance. There might be concerns about whether I'm putting that story on Hiatus or abandoning it. To answer your question, it's neither. Well, maybe Hiatus, but who knows. I'll update whatever story I feel like, but I do still love writing An Uchiha's Second Chance, don't get it twisted.

I also think it's good because it lets my mind not get bored of writing one. I can keep thinking of ideas and not get writer's block. Another is simply for my enjoyment. I still know it's a bad idea because it's more work for me, but I am a firm believer in the saying, "Suffering Builds Character."

Another thing is that the RWBY anime just got announced. I don't know if it'll diverge from Canon. But it'll suck for me if it does. Because I'll probably want to base my story off of something that gives me more to work with. What I mean by that is I won't have to research for gaps that the series doesn't cover in the show. That's why I think writing for this fic is gonna be a lot harder.

To help paint a picture of this Fanfic, I'll take inspiration from The Dark Soul's Series. I will also take inspiration from a lot of other things like anime and manga. I also plan to use songs during fights, so I hope you have a music app ready for that.

I think that wraps up what I have in my mind. Always remember, I don't own RWBY, Dark Souls, or anything else I reference.

Without any further ado, let the show begin. I hope you guys enjoy this one.

I felt my whole body shake as I silently woke up, the strong air turbulence bringing back my consciousness. I looked around to see most of my peers in the large airship socializing. I gave a pretty big yawn as I was still tired from my overnight flight. It's brutalizing traveling from Atlas to Beacon.

I looked down to see my clothes. Starting with my bottoms, I wore black combat boots that ended mid-shin, black jeans, and a black leather belt with a silver buckle. Next for my top, I had a simple black long sleeve with the sleeves rolled up and fingerless-black gloves with a metal backplate.

Another thing I had on was a dark-gray shoulder scarf with a hood. My scarf had black patterns decorated on the edges of it. On my right hip was a long cloth attached to my belt. The cloth was dark gray and had a black wolf insignia on it. Something else I had on were black leather suspenders that had a magnet on the back.

The magnet was to carry my weapon. As for my weapon, I didn't have it on me right now. I had sent it here along with a few other belongings so I could travel light. I didn't have to worry about where it was because Oz probably has it.

I sighed as I grunted in annoyance that I at least didn't bring a book to read; Unconsciously, my hand made its way to my face. I softly caressed the black leather eyepatch that covered a good portion of the right side around my face.

My eye... I had lost it as a young child. Because I had lost my eye, I had gotten a few nicknames that irked me. Cyclops, One eyed freak, and emo eyepatch. I hated that last one with a passion. Before my thoughts delved deeper, my scroll vibrated in my pocket. I took out my scroll and looked at who was calling me.

I couldn't help but smile a little. Komachi, my little sister in question, decided to call me. I accepted the call and put my scroll up to my ear, "Hello?"

"HEY, BIG BROTHER!" Her voice shrieked into my ear.

I winced and recoiled back from my phone. "Idiot," I grumbled. "Komachi, don't you know it's rude to yell over the phone."

"Hehe, sorry big brother." She apologized to me. I could just imagine she was doing that pose of her tongue poking out, a wink, and a knuckle to her head.

I sighed at my sister's antics, "It's fine, Komachi. Is there anything you need, or do you already miss me?" I teased her.

"Nope, I partied and ate ice cream the second you left!"

"Ok, that's hurtful."

"I'm kidding, big bro... Komachi does miss you, you know..." She said sincerely.

My lips quirked up at that response. "We can still video chat, and I'll be able to visit a few times. Maybe you'll be able to come here if you ask Oz; But only when you don't have school and have good grades."

"But Komachi is doing fine!"

"Yeah yeah, I know that. Just keep your grades up for me."

"Ugh, fine big bro. Anyway, Komachi wants to repeat a few things she said earlier."

"And what would that be?"

"When you're at Beacon, please make friends Big Bro... You can't be alone your whole time there..."

"You know I'm not a people person, Komachi."

"Oh jeez, I wonder why... Oh, maybe it's because you call a lot of people normies and idiots that are self-absorbed in youth." She said in a deadpan voice.

I felt myself smirk in amusement, "Probably. Or maybe it's because I look creepy and suspicious."

"Ugh, you know big bro... Maybe if you stopped hunching and got rid of that tired stare, the ladies would be all over you."

"You don't have to lie to me to make me feel better."

"Ugh, with that attitude as well you'll never get a girlfriend."

"I'm not trying to get a girlfriend, Komachi. I'm too busy for one anyway."

I could hear her sigh loudly over the phone 'This brat...' I thought. "Well, Komachi has to go now; I have to go grocery shopping since you're not here..." Komachi grumbled to me, but I could hear the hint of sadness in her tone.

I sighed good-heartedly, "I'll text you later Komachi, stay safe."

"Bye, Hachiman, love you."

And with that, I hang up and pocket my scroll. After that, I looked around once again, studying my peers. Almost all of them had smiles, their innocence untouched by the harsh reality of our world. I pity the sorry fools.

I sat around for a bit before taking out my scroll and opened the camera. I stared at my face and detailed my features. A teen with short-medium black hair that had a wicked cowlick on top. The gloomy-looking expression I had made anyone think twice before talking to me. Then finally, the one uncovered eye that would make anyone shiver.

My remaining eye looked like the eye of a dead fish. The color was silver, but it was a very dull one. It was as if the light and life in them had been ripped out. It might as well have been… But it's not like I can do anything about it now. I sighed and pocketed my scroll.

My attention turned to one of the holographic TVs on the ceiling in the middle of the airship. It first started with the news talking about Roman Torchwick. A notorious criminal that seemed to love robbing from the people. Though it was odd they didn't take the money... Maybe he would sell the stolen dust crystals on the black market. But it didn't make sense, if he was aiming to make money, the cash register should've been empty too.

Then it changed to the news talking about The White Fang. A lot of people hated them, even most of the Faunus themselves. After all, The White Fang are now Faunus Supremacists... They've been around since after The Great Wars, but they were different back then.

Before they changed, The White Fang fought for their rights. They had to protest because we human's hated them. Even though they had a smaller number in the wars against us, we suffered more losses than them. The humans who lost loved ones became discriminatory and made it difficult for Faunus who lived everywhere else other than Menagerie, after the wars. So, The White Fang was made and fought for equal rights, and they succeeded. Laws were passed in the kingdoms which outlawed discrimination against the Faunus or any Human.

With The White Fang's purpose fulfilled, they disbanded. Everything was good, with most humans accepting the Faunus as equals and making amends. The wounds of battle were slowly healing for both sides.

Then all that went to hell once The White Fang rose again. I don't know why, but they came back under a new objective. Their objective was to overthrow humans and make us their slaves. Being equals wasn't enough for some Faunus.

My thoughts were interrupted when I heard a familiar voice. In the middle, a hologram of Glynda Goodwitch popped up. Glynda was a very stern woman on the outside, but she could be very gentle when she wanted to.

As if on cue, her hologram started to speak. "Hello and welcome to Beacon. My name is Glynda Goodwitch, and a teacher at Beacon. All of you have been hand-selected to have a chance to become official students of Beacon Academy. Currently, our world is at its most peaceful. As future Huntsman and Huntresses, it's your duty to help uphold this peace and prosperity. To do that, Beacon Academy is here to help you prosper by giving you food, knowledge, and training." Then her hologram slowly faded and once again was replaced by holographic TVs.

Right after that, my peers around me started looking out the windows admiring the view. I peered out the windows myself and couldn't help but admire the view as well. Beacon was a beautiful place, and I couldn't help but feel nostalgic too. Oz would let me stay here when I could to watch the older students learn and train.

"We will be landing in a few minutes. Please be ready to depart by then." A voice on the speakers said. I sighed and got up from my seat and stretched a little. My legs felt a little numb from sitting so long.

When standing up, I felt myself hunch like I always do. People always scolded me for having terrible posture, but I couldn't help it. It always came second nature to me.

In a few minutes, our airship docked. I walked outside onto the bridge that connected us to the airship and looked around. I could see multiple airships around me, unloading loads of people my age. I took a deep breath and started walking forward.

"Well, actually, my friends are here now. Gotta go, bye!" I said as I quickly left with my group of friends. 'I hope Ruby will at least talk to someone,' I thought. 'She needs to make friends in a school as big as this one.'

As we walked and talked our way down the path, my eye caught something of interest. A figure walking in the crowd. He had a hunched back with black-messy hair. A wicked cow-lick stood on top of his head as well. I only knew one boy who had these same features.

Then he finally turned his head, and my eyes couldn't help but widen in surprise. His features were sharp, but he had this gloomy and tired look. His other eye was covered with an eyepatch just like I remembered.

"Hachiman?" I whispered. "Hachiman!" I shouted his name this time. I could feel tears well up in my eyes as I quickly left my friends. I kept shouting his name but the crowd was thick and full. After a few minutes of shouting my head off, I couldn't find him in the sea of students.

I felt my mood go down as I got irritated and sad. "Damnit!" I shouted to myself. I had to tell myself. 'He'll be at the meeting place... I'll probably see him there.' I could wait a few minutes. After all, I've been waiting for years to see him again.' I could feel myself practically beam with excitement.

It's been quite a while since I have seen him. We were only kids since the last time we saw each other... I wonder if he's the same brooding and quiet boy that I used to know. I giggled thinking he still was. With my mood lifted and spirit on fire, I walked with a pep in my step to the meeting place. 'I wonder if I should punch him in the gut or give him a hug since we haven't seen each other in a long time.' I thought to myself with an evil smile.

I made it to the meeting place and groaned at how packed it was. Looking around, I decided to prop myself on a wall and wait. Someone else had the same idea as me because a person landed on the wall about a few feet away from me.

A girl my age with wavy black hair and amber eyes leaned a few feet away from me. A pair of cat ears stood upon her head, making her a Faunus. I side-eyed her for a few seconds before she side-eyed me back. I didn't look away though. We both side-eyed each other before she gave me a nod, I nodded back.

I guess she knew we were both loners. So being fellow loners, we already had mutual respect for one another. But it didn't mean either one of us would start a conversation. No, it just meant that we didn't have to talk to each other.

My eyes then roamed the room. I took note of everyone else's weapons. Almost all of them looked like they could transform or shoot projectiles. My weapon couldn't do that but I didn't design it to do that. I didn't have a need for my weapon to transform or shoot. All I needed was a sharp and heavy blade.

I kept looking and ignored the growing and loud crowd until finally, Oz and Glynda stepped out onto the stage. Their eyes roamed the crowd until they found me. Oz smiled and nodded to me. Glynda just nodded to me with sharp eyes.

Then finally, Oz started to speak. "I'll...keep this brief. You have traveled here today in search of knowledge-to hone your craft and acquire new skills. And when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose – direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step." Oz specifically looked at me when speaking.

Then Glynda stepped up and spoke into the mic. "You will gather here tonight. Tomorrow your initiation begins, be ready. Until then, you are free to do whatever you want. Though, I do urge you to practice for tomorrow. That is all, you are dismissed." She said before leaving the stage with Oz.

As if on cue, my scroll vibrated. I checked and saw it was a message from Oz. "Come to the tower. I'd like to have a chat." I sighed but didn't care much. I knew he would want to talk to me when I arrived. I got off the wall and walked through the halls of Beacon Academy. Soon enough, I'll be in one of these rooms with a team of my own.

I always disliked that I had to be on a team or have a "partner." I just hope my team or partner were all loners like me. That'd be perfect. We'd cooperate as a team but respect each other's bubble. Though considering my luck, I'd have the opposite.

I took an elevator up and waited patiently, standing quietly while looking out the big side window. I looked down at the people going back into Vale. They looked small and minuscule from my angle. Then finally, I heard a ding signaling the end of my ride.

I sighed as I stared straight and let the elevator doors slowly open. Oz sat behind his desk, giving me a friendly smile while drinking coffee. Glynda was near his desk, tapping away at a big scroll in her arms.

"Ah, finally glad to see you again, young Hachiman," Oz said to me.

"Hello, Hachiman," Glynda said to me without looking away from her tablet.

"Yo," I said back. I walked forward and sat in a chair in front of Oz's desk.

"How was your flight? I hope it wasn't too terrible," Oz asked me.

"It was fine. Though, I didn't get much sleep on my overnight flight." I said as I yawned.

"Oh, would you care for some coffee?" Oz asked me.

I nodded to him.

"Glynda, can you make some coffee for young Hachiman?" He asked Glynda.

Glynda sighed and went to the side of his table and started brewing coffee for me.

"So how's everything in Atlas?"

"It's good, we've been living comfortably thanks to Ironwood."

"That's very good to hear. Now, how is your sister? Is she doing well?"

"She's doing very well. She's popular, well-liked, and pretty smart. It's everything that I would hope for her to have. She's studying to become a doctor right now," I said with a smile. Oz smiled kindly at that response, even Glynda smiled too.

"A doctor? That's fantastic! I'm sure she'll save many lives."

Finally, my coffee finished brewing, and Glynda set it in front of me. She gave me milk, sweeteners, and a small spoon as well.

"Thanks."

"You're welcome," Glynda said as she started typing on her tablet again.

I then started adding many sweeteners and most of the milk to my coffee.

"Hachiman, I do hope you know that's not healthy for you," Glynda warned me.

I just shrugged.

Glynda's brow twitched as she snatched away the sweeteners and milk from me. "That is enough for you, young man." She scolded me.

"Now now, Glynda. Let the boy make his coffee how he wants it." Ozpin said with an amused smile.

"He'll get diabetes if he keeps adding sweeteners." She said to Ozpin. "Why do you even like your coffee that sweet, Hachiman?" She then asked me.

"Life is too bitter. So, at least coffee should be sweet," I proclaimed out loud.

Ozpin laughed while Glynda looked un-amused. "I'm going to smack James once he comes back," she said while pinching her nose.

"Can I have the sweeteners back?" I asked politely.

"No."

"Tch," I then sighed and stirred my coffee with a small spoon.

"Now that you have your coffee. Let's continue our conversation." Ozpin said to me.

I nodded and took a sip from my sweet coffee.

"So, how're you doing, Hachiman? Is everything well with you?"

I nodded, "I'm doing fine. I have decent grades, and my training is going well."

"Any friends?"

"No."

Ozpin and Glynda frowned. "That's not good, young Hachiman. Making friends and connections is what people need. Especially for a young Huntsman in training." Ozpin said to me.

I waved them off, "I'll make do somehow. Maybe, I can become a one-man team," I asked hopefully.

"Sorry, but you know I can't do that. It's best for fate to decide who your teammates are."

I rolled my eye.

He lightly laughed and continued talking. "How is your training going specifically? How're you progressing with your weapon?"

"I'm doing fine with it."

"That's very good to hear. I hope to see how far you've progressed tomorrow. That reminds me, your weapon and other belongings are in your locker." Ozpin then handed me a piece of paper with my locker number and pin code.

I read the contents of the small paper and stuffed it in my pocket. "I'll go grab my stuff later. There's no point in lugging it around."

"I see. I think I should let you go now. Have fun, talk to your peers, and explore the city, young Hachiman."

I sighed and gulped the rest of my coffee, "I'll think about it."

"Also, I'll call you up another time to talk about your condition," he said with an air of seriousness.

Glynda on the side glared at Ozpin before her eyes softened once they landed on me. "Remember to return at nighttime for the initiation tomorrow." She said as she walked toward me. "Also, fix your posture. It's unhealthy for you," Glynda said as she softly fixed my posture with her hands. She adjusted my head and made me puff out my chest with the gentleness of a mother.

"Thanks," I muttered with a blush.

Glynda stepped back and adjusted her glasses, "Your welcome, now run along now."

I nodded and left the room and into the elevator.

"Looks like a Witch can even have a soft side," Ozpin remarked with a smirk.

"Another witty remark like that, and I'll smash your coffee maker."

"Understood, Miss Goodwitch," Ozpin said with a small bow. He didn't want his beloved coffee maker to be smashed to bits.

I made it to the bottom and walked out of the elevator. I wasn't hunching, but in due time it will happen again. I walked all the way to where the airships were and took a ship to the city.

The ride was relatively fast, and I soon landed in the city. I walked around admiring the place. I liked the architecture here, it was less hi-tech and simple. I remember the first time I came here as a kid.

Ironwood had taken me here to meet Glynda and Ozpin for the first time. I was shy as a kid and was scared to meet them because they looked imposing. Afterwards, Ironwood and Ozpin had to talk alone. So that left me with Glynda.

She was annoyed at having to babysit me for a little, but she got used to it. I remember her buying me my first book here. She also took me to an arcade because I asked. She disliked the place, but she enjoyed watching me play there.

Soon I found myself at a coffee shop and walked in hoping to get another coffee. I bought a regular coffee and sweetened it with sweeteners on a side table. I then sat at a small table and fiddled with my scroll to pass the time. I did that for a while when the noise around me started to pick up. I looked up from my scroll and looked around to see everyone admiring a white-haired girl.

I looked closer and couldn't help but widen my eye. Weiss Schee, the youngest daughter, and heiress to the Schnee Dust Company were in some random coffee shop in Vale. And more importantly, the younger sister of the "Ice Queen."

I was wondering when and if I'd actually see Winter's sister here. She did tell me her younger sister was running away to Vale before I came here. I always wondered what the relationship between the Schee sisters and their parents was. I never asked Winter because it wasn't my place nor my problem. Sometimes, it's best just to mind your own business. It means fewer problems for me as well.

If she's anything like Winter, I'd better brace myself to argue with another Schnee. But, I had no intention to argue nor talk to the younger Schnee. So, I got up from my seat and threw away my now empty coffee cup. I walked past the younger Schnee without batting an eye and left.

I had a few hours to burn, so I kept walking around the city. After thinking of what to do, I went to a weapons store. I wasn't here to buy another weapon, though; I was here to buy things to maintain my weapon. Stuff like oils, cleaning cloths, and a few other things are what I searched for.

Contrary to most people, I like doing maintenance on my weapon. It took my mind off of things I didn't want to think or worry about at the time. My mind would only focus on doing my best job to clean my weapon.

When doing maintenance, it would always take quite a bit of time. The reason was that my weapon was quite big. I always favored bigger weapons, mainly because I thought they looked cool. Plus, I was never that fast to use smaller weapons like daggers or shortswords.

I did like the advantages of using a Bigger Weapon. The length of a Big Weapon made it safer for the user to attack. A Heavy Big Weapon made it easier to do more lethal damage to a Grimm than just scratch it.

Those advantages also came with disadvantages. It was harder to use a long weapon in a close-distance fight. A Heavy Weapon was also incredibly taxing on stamina. Many Grimm were fast, which made it difficult to hit them with a big weapon if not properly trained.

Which is why I always keep at a reasonable distance against a Grimm or opponent. As for my way of dealing with the heaviness of a weapon, I trained my body to withstand it. If it wasn't obvious, my weapon was pretty long and heavy.

While strolling through the aisle, I passed a bunch of ammunition boxes. I did not need them since my weapon didn't shoot. Bullets barely did any damage to a Grimm's tough boney armor and their relatively strong hide. Of course, having no firing mechanism did have its disadvantages against an opponent because I always had to stay close. Since I had no firing mechanism, I didn't need to carry ammo which was a plus.

I bought my items and made my way out of the shop. Before I head back, I should grab something to eat. So I looked around and found a small noodle stand. I looked to see there was one other person there silently eating their bowl of ramen. I raised my eyebrow to see the same black-haired cat girl from earlier.

I didn't think much of it and sat down on the other side of the stall. The old chef on the other side handed me a menu and some utensils.

"Can I get water to start off?" I asked. The old chef nodded and gave me water. While looking through the menu, I felt someone staring at me. I shifted my eyes to the girl and saw her side-eyeing me. We both just stared at each other once again, saying nothing. Then we nodded and went back to doing our own thing.

After looking a little more at the menu, I ordered a simple pork ramen which was made quite fast. I dug in and couldn't help but feel my mood go up. Eating a hot bowl of ramen after a tiring day would make anyone feel good. I guess you can say that for any food, though. I ate in silence as the only sounds came from the cars on the street and the other girl eating her food.

Soon, we both managed to finish at the same time somehow. I guess I ate fast, or she ate slow. After I paid for my meal, I waited for her to leave first. When a few minutes passed, I got up myself and started heading to where the passenger ships were so I could head back to Beacon. It was night by then, and there were few people around.

To my luck, I caught up with my peer at a stoplight. I didn't let it bother me much and tried my best to keep a reasonable distance away from her. I may have said we didn't need to talk, but it felt a little awkward when we started walking to where the airships were. I know for sure I looked like a creepy stalker because of my appearance.

I sighed because there was really nothing I could do. There was the option of actually talking, but I think we both wouldn't want that. We finally made it to the airships and we both got on the same one heading to Beacon. We sat on opposite corners in the airship and waited quietly on our trip. I put my things down next to me and looked out one of the windows admiring the bright city below.

I did my best not to sleep, but I did close my eye to rest it. I delved into my mind and thought about a few things. I was going to be a Huntsman with a team soon. I knew about the plan of being launched into the forest and whoever I lock eyes with is my partner. The reasons were because Oz told me about them, and I had actually watched one happen. It was a few years ago and I met one of the teams.

If I'm right, they might be in their 4th year by now; Team CFVY or "Coffee," as Ozpin called them. If I'm lucky, they won't remember me because I really didn't want to meet Coco again. I have no clue why, but she thought I was the most adorable and funniest thing in the world whenever she would see me. She would always hug me like a bear if she saw me. Or when I would make a cynical remark, she'd always laugh her head off... You know, I guess I wouldn't mind meeting them again... Coco and her team.

I sighed out loud and opened my eye again. I could see we were about to land, so I grabbed my items and waited. When we landed, I waited for her to leave first so I could stay at a distance. Once I got off the airship, my eye looked at the academy. Even when it was dark out, this place was well lit-up. I guess the name "Beacon" is just more than for show.

I noticed my peer stopped in front of me, so I did the same. I raised a brow in confusion, but then in surprise because she started talking.

"Mind my rude words, but are you following me?" She asked with skepticism. My peer then turned to face me with a palm on her weapon.

I sighed and shook my head. "No, I have to be at Beacon, too. I'm a student." I pointed to the school.

"I know you're a student too, but we've run into each other at least 2 times today. I'm not really one to believe in recurring coincidences." She stared straight into my eye with a calculating gaze.

I stared back without backing down, "You're going to have to now because I have no way of convincing you." I gave her a meager shrug.

She didn't respond and looked at me from up to bottom. "You don't look armed," she took her hand off her weapon.

"I only have what's in this bag and my scroll."

"I see... Sorry for calling you a stalker... It was rude of me." She gave me a small bow.

I waved her off, "Uhhh, it's fine. I'm used to it." I said awkwardly.

"You're used to it?" She raised her eyebrow.

"Yeah... Can you blame them, though?" I then pointed to my eye, "I'm a cyclops with the eye of a dead fish."

She lightly chuckled at my self-deprecating joke.

"Yeah, I guess. I'm Blake, by the way, Blake Belladonna."

"Hachiman Hikigaya," I bowed my head.

She gestured to the academy, "We should get going so we don't get yelled at." Blake motioned her head to follow her. When she started walking, I walked a few paces behind her. Blake stopped and looked at me weirdly. "Why are you walking behind me? C'mon," She motioned for me to walk next to her.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, or I'll think you're walking behind me to look at my ass," Blake teased.

"Don't count on it," I grumbled with a blush. I sighed and started walking next to her.

Blake lightly laughed, "You have a habit of following behind a girl?"

"No. Would you rather have a random weirdo walk next to you?"

"I'd rather walk behind the weirdo."

"Then I'd think you were following me."

"Nah, it's different when a girl does it."

"That's just abusing the double standard."

"Don't blame me, blame society," Blake shrugged

I just rolled my eye.

"So... Where's your weapon? Everyone here has their weapon's on them in some sort of way."

"I didn't want to lug it around. It's pretty heavy and makes me 10x more intimidating. I'm not trying to scare people," I shrugged.

"I've seen scarier Huntsman/Huntresses have one on them."

I shrugged, "That's them. I just don't see a reason right now."

"What if you need your weapon to stop a criminal on the loose?"

"Then I'll let the police handle it. We Huntsman/Huntresses are for Grimm extermination, Police are for the people. If we stopped petty criminals too, we'd be putting the police out of jobs. Also, there would be less of us on the frontlines protecting the people that aren't in the kingdoms and don't have their own police force."

"Huh. Well if you put it like that, I guess you're right..." That seemed to get her thinking because she became quiet. I didn't really blame her for that.

Soon we made it to the entrance of the school. Some students were walking around, but most seemed to be getting ready to sleep. Blake looked at me and said, "I'm going to head to my locker and get a change of clothes. I'll probably take a shower before we head to where we're supposed to sleep. What are you going to do?"

"I'll do the same."

"What's your locker number?"

"In the single digits."

"Mine's in the triple digits… Well, we can still head to the lockers," Blake said.

"Alright," I shrugged.

We started walking to the locker room and Blake decided to start up another conversation.

"How was your meal?"

"Huh?" I raised a brow as I looked at her.

"How was your meal at the ramen shop?"

I guess she just wanted to talk while we made our way there. "It was good. It was cheap and came fast too. I'll have to go there some other day with my sister."

"You have a sister?"

"Yeah, a younger one. She's back in Atlas studying."

"To become a Huntress?"

"Thankfully no."

"You don't want her to become a Huntress?"

"My heart couldn't take it if she did."

"Sis-con."

My brow twitched in annoyance. "Shut up," I grumbled with a blush.

Blake lightly chuckled at my plight.

I sighed, "What about you? You got a sibling?"

"No, I'm an only child."

"Oh…"

Our conversation ended there, but it's because we arrived at the locker room."When I'm done, I'll prop up near a secluded corner. You're welcome to join me if you want. I'd rather have someone I kinda know next to me, rather than a total stranger." Blake said to me.

I thought about it for a few seconds, "Maybe."

Blake looked raised a brow at my cryptic answer but didn't question it. "Well, goodnight if you're not gonna join me."

I nodded, "Night."

After we said our good nights to each other, we went our separate ways to look for our lockers. I dug out of my pocket to look at the paper I had gotten from Ozpin earlier. "Locker 8, Pin number 12345678," Ozpin did say I could change the pin number.

Soon I found my locker. I entered the code and opened it; On top was a long metal case with a lock and a handle on the side. Inside it held my Weapon, it was quite heavy when I had to move it. Below it was two more cases, one held my clothes with a few items, and the other held my armor.

I moved the pack with my armor and went for the one that held my clothes in it. I pulled out some clothes and put the items I had bought away. I also pulled out some toiletries like a toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, and bar soap. I made my way to the boy's showers and did my business.

I was refreshed and dressed in sleeping clothes which were a gray long-sleeve and black/white plaid pajama pants. I made my way back to my actual locker and put my things away and grabbed a sleeping bag. I wasn't going to sleep where everyone else was, I had a different spot I wanted to go to.

So I walked the halls and soon made it to where I wanted to be, on the rooftop. I took a deep breath and looked up. The shattered moon and the stars shone brightly down on me. Usually, I'd like it blackout dark when I sleep, but I made an exception. I laid my sleeping bag down, but I didn't get in it.

Instead, I went and sat on the edge of the roof, I let my legs dangle as I sat in silence. I stayed like that until I heard the door open behind me. I didn't look back because I already knew who it was.

"Get off from there Hachiman. You might fall," Glynda said from behind me.

"I'll survive, I have my aura."

"That's still no reason to put yourself in unnecessary danger."

"I'm a Huntsman, I have to be in danger to do my job. I'm sure you know that more than anyone because you're a Huntress."

Glynda rubbed the bridge of her nose. "Even if you're all grown up, you are still the cynical kid you were years ago." She said with annoyance, but I could hear the hint of nostalgia.

"Why aren't you with the other students? We specifically said to sleep there," she scolded me.

"I wanted to look at the stars when I slept," I shrugged. "I can't do that in Atlas, I'd freeze to death if I slept outside."

At my answer, Glynda looked above to see the shattered moon and stars. She stayed silent before shaking her head. "Well if you need anything, food or water, text me on your scroll. You have my contact information after all. Now get some rest already. You'll need it for your initiation tomorrow."

I grunted to give her some confirmation that I heard her.

"One more thing by the way. You will refer to me as Miss Goodwitch or Professor Goodwitch tomorrow. Your classmates can't think I show favoritism to you after all," She said.

I glanced back at her and shrugged. "Alright, Miss Goodwitch."

Glynda smiled, "Goodnight then, Mr Hikigaya."

"Night."

I could hear her heels clack away and the door open then close.

The silence of the night was soothing to me. The moonlight that dimly lit the dark sky was nice and not overbearing. Times like this were nice, just being away was a blessing.

As I sat in silence, my mind went to the Cat Eared Faunus I had talked to earlier. Blake Belladonna, she seemed like a quiet one. But she could hold a conversation well if talked to, kinda like me. "I wouldn't mind if she was on my team or my partner…" I said to myself.

I sat on the edge for a few minutes before taking out my scroll. "I guess I better head to bed." It wasn't late, but I was hoping to wake up early and warm up before the initiation. I got off the edge and went inside my sleeping bag. My hands were behind my head as I looked directly up. I closed my eyes as sleep took over my entire being.

If you're still wondering about Hahiman's outfit, I'll do my best to describe it here. For the scarf, look up "Medieval Scarf Hood." Then just imagine the scarf as a dark gray with intricate patterns lining the edge of it. For the cloth on his hip, think of Squall Leonhart from Final Fantasy. It's pretty much like his except that Hachiman doesn't have fur on it. His eyepatch isn't a regular one as well, think of it as the one Sosuke Aizen wears where it covers a portion of his face. Then finally the suspenders he wears. It's basically like Cloud Strife's suspenders because he has a magnet on the back as well. The only difference is that they are colored black.

If you're wondering about Hachiman's past, I'm trying to keep it in the dark. Most of you may have an idea and I'm fine with that. Before I reveal all of it, there'll be some "appetizers" to hype the "main course."

I feel like I did an alright first chapter for this story, I'll definitely come back to improve on it later. I don't know how I really feel about the summary if I'm honest, it's different but I don't know if it's the good kind. I might change it soon. Please leave a review about your thoughts. Constructive criticism is always welcome. Maybe you can write about a few ideas I could implement too. I could use a few of them, lol.

Anyway, that's it for now. I hope you enjoyed it!
