Another short one, but this is really just fluff at this point isn't it?

May 3rd
It snowed. In May. In what reality does it snow in May anywhere but Tundra Town? Even the locals say its odd. Natural weather is fucking weird.

Another week down and still nothing going on. We're supposed to start doing training lanes in a couple weeks so that'll be fun. Also finished my third book, one to go.

Remember that rappelling stuff? Yeah well there was a culminating event today. We rucked to a big rock, climbed it, rappelled from it, then rucked another 5 kilos. That distance isn't bad, even with the heavy bag and kit and weapon, but the fact it was over FUCKING MINIATURE MOUNTAINS WAS! Seriously some of those hills were near fucking vertical! I have never had my legs cramp so badly. Felt like I had red hot knives stuck in my thighs. And before you tell me I should've drank more water, future reader. I did. I drank nearly a gallon. Didn't help. Also didn't help that I was volunteered for a second 3k ruck right after. I wont be able to walk right for the next week. At least it ended in a cookout in an old castle. That was cool. Still couldn't walk though.

Well its been a week since that hell ruck I had to do and now those training lanes have started and what does my commander want? Me to ruck with him. I just started walking with out pain. I should clarify that the reason he wants me is because I'm his personal radio bitch. Anyway it wasn't as bad as I was afraid it was going to be, but we'll see how I feel in the morning. Good night.

My legs held up! And that week was actually quite a bit more fun than I had expected. But I've started hearing a rumor that we might get sent to training in Horsenfels. Crossing my fingers that doesn't happen. I just want to go home to Judy. I've tried not to think about her too much cause it just makes being out here harder, but lately that's been impossible. I want to see her cute little face again. I'll be home soon, Carrots. Just don't know how soon. You know I love you.

Moved to a new camp to prep for this training. We are now living in small, hot tents in a field next to an airport. But there is one huge improvement: BEER. O that sweet, bitter, hoppy nectar. I love it. I don't really even drink at home, but here it has become a savior. Also there's a shop run by the Army that sells Zootopian cigarettes. Life is good.

Some good and bad this month. Hopefully Nick can get home soon!

'Til next time,
