I froze. My heart was beating fast. I knew I couldn't escape. I looked around to see if anyone was helping me. Unfortunately, no one seemed to be eager to solve the situation.

The guy pulled out a gun.

"YOU HAVE TO GIVE ME ALL YOUR MONEY!" He demanded.

"Here you are! It's all I have" I screamed as I threw what I had in my hands.

"I think you better give me your card or I will shoot you." The robber threatened.

"Please, let us go!" Another person begged.

THIS IS A FUCKING ROBBERY!" He insisted.

The situation was getting desperate. I had to find a solution fast. The guy pointed the gun at me.

"Either you give me 40000 poke or I will kill you." He said.

I felt the cold steel against my chest.

"Please, It's everything I have! I beg you!" I cried.

"I SAID I WANT THE MONEY OR I WILL SHOOT YOU!" The robber yelled.

"No! You can't do this man!" I shouted.

"I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR FAMILY! JUST GIVE ME WHAT I ASK FOR!" He yelled.

I felt my legs tremble. I didn't know what to do. I was afraid. I thought this would never happen to me. But here I was, being threatened by a criminal.

"You can't kill me! Please!" I yelled.

"YOU WON'T STOP ME, YOU KNOW THAT!?" He yelled back.

"What do you want from me?! What do you want from my life?!" I cried.

"FUCK OFF! THIS IS YOUR LAST FUCKING CHANCE!" He yelled.

"Please don't hurt me!" I begged.

Then, as I thought I was doomed, a loud explosion sounded. My eyes widened. I turned around and saw a huge fireball coming straight at us.

BANG!

Since then, everything occured in slow motion. I saw officers restrain the robber. Then, Typhlosion entered and showed a badge, telling everyone to stay calm.

"I am Officer Typhlosion! We are here to arrest you for armed robbery and kidnapping." He explained before handcuffing him. However, as soon as he looked to the side, his face changed completely as soon as he saw me.

"OLIVER! FOR ARCEUS!" He yelled.

I looked to my chest, and saw the place where I had just been shot bleeding profusely. I tried to stop the bleeding with my shirt but I was losing blood too quickly.

"Oliver! Oliver! Oliver! I'm so sorry!" He apologized.

"NO! IT WAS MY FAULT! I SHOULDN'T HAVE DONE THAT!" I shouted as my vision started to blurry.

"EMERGENCY! EMERGENCY!" Typlosion said to someone through the mobile phone. But, in mere seconds, I lost consciousness.

As soon as I woke up, I found myself in a hospital room. I was lying on a bed and there was a nurse next to me. She checked my pulse and asked me how I was feeling.

"I feel weak, but that's it, thanks for asking." I replied while trying to sit up.

"Don't move too much, you're still recovering" She answered.

"How long has it been?" I asked

"Two days." She responded. "You seem to have a visitor eager to visit you." She added.

"Who is it?" I asked.

"You'll see." The nurse said before exiting the hall. "You can enter now" I heard her say before she left.

Typhlosion walked into the room. His eyes were red, probably because of the stress he had been under.

"I'm so sorry." He said.

"It's not your fault." I assured him.

"No matter what, I should've gone with you. I should've known that this could happen." He argued.

"It's alright. You couldn't have known." I reassured him.

"But I could've stopped it. I could've saved you." He said with an unseen sentiment in his voice which I never heard before.

"Typhlosion..." I tried to comfort him.

"I have failed you, Oliver. And I have failed myself." He cried.

"Typhlosion, please don't blame yourself. You didn't know what was going to happen, and you did what you thought was right. Don't ever think that you failed me. You are one of the best Pokémon I have ever met, and the most important relation in my life." I told him.

He smiled at me.

"Thank you, Oliver. I love you too." He said before hugging me tightly.

We stayed that way for a few minutes.

"We can go back home if you feel like it. I mean, I know you're tired and all, but I want to take you home." Typhlosion said once we separated.

"That would be great." I said.

"Okay. Let's get ready." He said as he frmly helped me up.

When we arrived back at his house, he put me down on my bed and hugged me again.

"Let's get some rest, okay? I'll make dinner for us later." He said.

"Sounds good." I said as I petted his head. He is so cute when in his caring mood.

"Good night, Oliver. Sleep well." He said before walking away.

I laid on my bed, looking at the ceiling. I was thinking about everything that happened today. I was thinking about how I almost died. and about my relationship with Typhlosion.

How he risked his life for me, even though he wasn't supposed to. I was thinking about how I felt when he took me to his home, accepting me in his life.

I was thinking about how happy I was being with him. I wanted to ask him to stay with me forever. I think... I must go further than telling him my story because... I love him.

I opened my eyes and saw that it was morning. I got up and went downstairs. When I entered the kitchen, Typhlosion was cooking breakfast.

"Morning, Oliver." He greeted me.

"Hey." I replied.

"So, what do you want for breakfast?" He asked.

"Uhm, do what you prefer!" I said with a smile.

"Okay!" He said with a wink.

After eating breakfast, I saw Typhlosion about to leave, when something inside me wanted to tell him what I had to.

However, what was the chance I had to succeed? It was very slim. So, I remained silent until he walked out the door.

How was I going to tell him?

In my mind, I came up with an idea. I would write him a letter, and then show it to him. That way, he will read it on his own time. I decided to go upstairs and write a letter to him.

I sat down on my bed and started writing.

"Dear Typhlosion: I know this might come as a shock to you, but... I love you. You may think that I'm crazy, but... I really do love you. We've been through so much together, and I just want to spend the rest of my life with you. If you don't feel the same way, I'll understand.
Love, Oliver "

I wrote the whole thing and sealed it. I placed it on his bed, where Typhlosion would find it.

Now, I just needed to go out and not come back until dinner time.

It was only noon when I finally left the house. I took a walk around town, trying to think of a place to spend the day without bumping into Typhlosion. Then, I realized there was a park nearby. The perfect place!

I quickly ran there and sat on a bench. I looked around, seeing people having fun. Some were playing baseball, others were playing soccer. There were even couples holding hands while strolling around the park.

I closed my eyes and imagined myself with Typhlosion.

My mind was soon filled with images of our future. I pictured us living happily ever after.

Even just a year ago, it would be unthinkable to me to love a Pokémon. A male Pokémon to be exact. But now, I couldn't imagine my life without him.

For the rest of the afternoon, I kept imagining our lives together. I saw us visiting different places, such as the beach or the mountains. I saw us traveling the world, learning new cultures. And I saw us spending every moment of our lives together.

The more I imagined our future, the happier I became.

Finally, it was time to go back. Since I didn't want to risk bumping into Typhlosion, I decided to take a taxi.

When I got back to Typhlosion's, I found him sitting on the couch watching TV.

"Hi, Oliver!" He said.

"Hi." I replied.

"Did you have a good day?" He asked.

"Yes, it was great." I answered.

"What did you do today?" He asked.

"I went to the park." I lied.

"Oh, cool." He said.

"Do you want to watch a movie tonight?" I asked.

"Sure, why not?" He answered.

"Great!" I said.

We watched a movie until it was time for dinner. After dinner, I headed upstairs.

Deep down, I was disappointed when I passed by Typhlosion's room, and saw the note wasn't there anymore. That meant that, even though I told him how I felt, he still didn't feel the same way about me.

That night, I lay awake in bed, waiting for sleep to come. I tried to keep my mind from wandering, but no matter how hard I tried, my thoughts always returned to Typhlosion.

I couldn't help but to be sad about the fact that he didn't feel the same way about me.

I fell asleep that night feeling lonely and depressed. I could hear Typhlosion wandering around the house.

He must be organizing things or something. I fell asleep soon after, as he kept going up and down the place.

Knock Knock...

I swore that the knocking was on my door.

Knock Knock...

It was definitely on my door!

"Oliver? Are you awake?" He called.

"Yeah, I still am." I answered groggily.

"Can I come in?" He asked.

"Sure." I answered.

He opened the door and entered.

"Hey, Oliver. How are you doing?" He asked.

"Not too bad." I said.

"Are you sure you're okay?" He asked.

"Meh, I've had better days." I answered.

"Why don't we light up the room a bit?" He suggested.

"Okay." I agreed.

Typhlosion walked over to the lamp table and lit it.

"Let's get comfortable." He said.

He grabbed my hand and laid next to me. We laid there quietly for a few minutes.

"How long have you loved me?" He asked.

I was instantly shocked at what he said. He was talking about it!

"Huh? What do you mean?" I asked. I wanted to know if he had read the whole thing.

Then, Typhlosion handed me the letter I wrote before.

"Well... You read it..." I said nervously.

"I read it... And I think it's time to tell you something too." He said.

"Tell me what?" I asked.

"I love you too." He said.

"What?!" I asked.

"I love you, Oliver. More than anything else in this world." He said.

"But... Why?" I asked.

"Because I can see that you're the most beautiful person in the world." He explained. "You're really kind and caring. You make me so happy whenever I'm with you. You're a perfect person."

"Really?" I asked.

"Absolutely." He said.

From all the things that could happen, the last one I expected was this.

I was so happy that tears started rolling down my face.

"I love you so much, Oliver." He continued.

"I love you too, Typhlosion." I said.

We held each other tightly, and I kissed his snout. He hugged me tighter.

"I love you so much, Oliver." He whispered into my ear.

We stayed like that for quite some time, smiling happily, until Typhlosion broke the silence.

"So, where does this leave us?" He asked.

"Where do you want it to leave us?" I asked.

"Well, I would like to... Celebrate it... Together" He said.

We laid there quietly for a while longer, snuggling together.

"What should we do first?" I asked.

"Well, I was thinking we could go out somewhere nice and celebrate our new relationship. After all, taking things slow is the best way to start out." He said.

"Sounds good to me." I agreed.

"Good. What about leaving this weekend?" He said.

"Sounds good to me." I said.

"Excellent." He said. "I'll take care of everything. Now, let's get some rest."

But as I thought he was going to leave, he took my hand again.

"Come on, Oliver. Let's go to bed." He said.

He led me to his bedroom, and then we slept snuggling together.
