Author's Note:
This is an alternate universe of Lex where he has employed the likes of Poison Ivy (Pamela Isley), The Rogues, Vixen, Roxy Rocket, Batwoman, and more, and has built them up to be a formidable force (Roxy and Vixen are almost as strong as Superman here). He also has an adopted daughter in Cassandra Cain, and other wards in Jinx and Raven, and has magical help from the likes of Circe and Rebecca Cairstairs, and thus has powerful wards meant to protect him and aid him and his people in battle.
Roxy Rocket...is having a blast. Literally in some ways. She was skeptical when Lex told her about an alien invasion, but when she arrived on the battlefield, well...let's just say she could barely contain her excitement. An impossibly wide grin on her face, Roxy flies around on her rideable rocket and blows up Chitauri by the dozens, with her laser guns and missile launchers, courtesy of Lexcorp.
One Chitauri, Two Chitauri, Three Chitauri, Four. One explosion, two explosions, three explosions, more!
All around Roxy are explosions and dead Chitauri as she cackles loudly into the air. She's never felt such exhilaration, experienced such danger (as Chitauri lasers whizz by her head and Chitauri space whales swim past her), and had so much fun!
And things just got funner!
Roxy smirks as out of the corner of her eye she spots him: a handsome man dressed in green and gold, who's clearly leading this alien army. The man looked regal, composed, and best of all...he had on antlers. Antlers, that's what she'd call him.
Closing one eye, Roxy aims and fires, sending a missile flying towards the mischievous god. With apparent ease, Loki or 'Antlers' as she deemed him, catches the missile only inches from his face, and crushes it. He gives her a cocky look, a look of derision but...what he doesn't know...is that she has a rapid fire missile launcher. As soon as Loki gives her the look, a second missile explodes on his person, launching him into the Lexcorp building.
Loki rises to his feet, brushing off the minor explosion, an expression of anger marring his face. Who was this mortal? That dared to strike the god of mischief? That dared to attack him?
He gets his answer soon enough as Roxy takes it upon herself to ride in after him. Despite Loki being faster, stronger, quicker, and longer lived (and thus better trained), Roxy runs circles around him. Like a kid at a playground, Roxy rides around him in circles, pelting him with lasers and explosives that surprisingly hurts him. After the fifth or sixth injury he sustains, small holes being blown into him, and explosive fireballs singing his skin and his armor, Loki cannot help but to express himself.
"Cease this mortal! How are your midgardian weapons hurting me? A god!" Antlers bellows. Roxy only winks and sticks her tongue out as she retorts.
"Lexcorp, silly!" She barely manages to squeal out as she continues riding in circle around the Asgardian. The next few attacks come and Loki learns, shielding himself with his cape and his hand. The other hand comes around, scepter and all, and blasts Roxy off of her rocket, as said rocket goes flying out of the open window.
Roxy lands with a thud and a groan of pain as Loki slowly approaches her.
"Tell me mortal, did you really think you could best me? With your...midgardian weapons and your contraptions? You are nothing but an insolent whelp, and I am of Asgard!" Loki taunts as he stands over her, scepter pointed in her direction. The scepter begins to glow and he smirks...though it quickly transforms into a sneer. "You never had a chance against me, you dull beast! I am a god! Now say your last words, for I shall relay them to your allies." Loki demands.
Roxy's eyes widen as she sees her rocket make a u-turn and come back through the window at a rapid pace. She glances back at Loki and gives a weak smile.
"Uh...look out?" She says with a bit of a shrug as she braces for impact. Loki furrows his brow in his confusion, before turning around to face whatever his enemy has warned him about. He doesn't have enough time however and...
BOOM!
The rideable rocket crashes into him, triggering an explosion that's large enough to shake the entire city.
Roxy peaks up from between her hands and is surprisingly unharmed. She blinks in shock a couple of time before remembering.
"Oh yeah, wards. Whew!" She gets up and sees a charred, smoking Loki, unmoving. Slow and uncertain she approaches him. "Is he?" She feels for a pulse and finds it. A sigh of relief later and Roxy smirks. "Heh, all that talk and my 'mortal weapon' took you out. Puny god." She then gets to her feet and looks out the window. Without her rocket she needed to hitch a ride. Maybe she can hijack one of the Chitauri flyers? They looked like fun!
And so, with that on her mind, Roxy leaps out of the window.
The rest of the battle is a blur, Roxy, taking out the Chitauri from the air, Cassandra closing the portal easily, with Loki's scepter, and the Chitauri being defeated by the combined powers of Lexcorp heroes. Lex himself didn't even have to get involved or dirty his hands...well unless you count shaking hands with Thor.
"Don't worry Odinson, Roxy should be coming by with the cargo." Thor looks unsure.
"Of course, puny human but...cargo?" He asks. Lex nods and smirks. That second, Roxy crash lands with a Chitauri flyer, and Loki lands on the ground, tied up and charred from the explosion from before.
"Whew! Anyone order charbroiled Antlers?" She remarks with a grin. Thor looks at her and then to his brother, uncertain.
"Is..." Roxy waves him off.
"Yeah he's fine. Just a little burned." She rolls her eyes at Loki's groans of pains. "The baby." Loki's sounds of protest are muffled through his restraints. Thor can only sigh.
"Let us go brother." He grabs a hold of Loki as Lex activates the Tesseract. "Luthor, I will tell Father of your offer and speak with him about how you have helped us." Thor nods in Lex's direction.
"Yes, I look forward to a...working relationship with Asgard, and matching minds with the God of Wisdom. Consider the Bifrost...repaired. As a token of our friendship."
"Aye." Thor replies, and then the two are enveloped in a blue portal and taken back to whence they came. Lex Luthor cannot hide his smirk of triumph as he says one final word.
"Excellent."
