I'm finally back with a new chapter! So recently I worked on my other fanfic on DeviantArt "Motherless Child" which is the sequel to my other fanfic "Jackie's Innocence". Since Matt and Jackie got engaged in the latest chapter, I decided to write about them again but add a few things like I did with Roy x Kacey. Well, I hope this chapter is good!

Jackie, Ludwig's oldest daughter, has been dating her boyfriend Matt for a year now. Her family and friends were really happy for them. They were also happy that Jackie was finally returning to her old self again. One day Matt and Jackie were hanging out at the park. The couple was taking a walk and decided to sit down on a nearby bench. Jackie sighed and hugged Matt.

"I love you so much Matt." Jackie smiled and kissed his cheek.

"I love you too Jackie." Matt replied and hugged her.

"I really hope we'll stay together forever." Jackie said.

"Oh I'm sure we will." Matt replied. The two sighed and stared at the sky. Then a thought came to Matt's mind.

"Hey sweetheart?" Matt turned to Jackie.

"Yeah?" Jackie replied.

"I was wondering...do you ever think about getting married?" Matt asked, making them blush.

"Um, yeah...sometimes." Jackie said. They were silent again until Jackie spoke again.

"Hey Matt? Would you...wanna marry me someday?" She asked. Matt smiled.

"Of course. I'm sure you'd be a great wife." Matt replied.

"Oh. Well, you'd be a really great husband." Jackie smiled. She then hugged and kissed him.

"Maybe we will get married someday."

A few weeks later, Jackie talked to Matt about adopting a child from the orphanage since she still wanted to be a mother. They decided to adopt a 3 year old Koopa named Dustin. Dustin liked talking to Jackie while she worked at the orphanage and was really happy that she and Matt would be his new parents. Everyone loved Dustin and was really happy that he was a part of their family. Matt also moved into the castle to help take care of their new son.

Matt continued to think about his conversation with Jackie on and off for awhile. He wanted to propose to her, but he wasn't sure when he was ready to buy a ring and ask her. Matt sighed and stared at the ground.

"I need to ask her someday..."

One day Jackie and Matt were talking and Jackie mentioned that she still wished to have her own baby one day. Two weeks later, they found out that Jackie was pregnant and everyone was excited. Jackie, Matt, and Dustin were more excited that Dustin was going to have a baby brother or sister. After learning that Jackie was pregnant, Matt thought back to that conversation. He continued to think about it more and more each day. Matt sighed as he continued to think.

"When should I ask her?"

The next day while Matt was sitting outside of the castle, Ebony and Cadenza walked outside.

"Oh hi Matt. I didn't know you were out here." Cadenza greeted.

"What are you up to?" Ebony asked.

"I was just getting some fresh air." Matt replied.

"I know I've said this already, but I'm so happy for you and Jackie." Ebony said as she sat next to him.

"Thanks." Matt replied.

"You and Jackie look so cute together." Cadenza said, making Matt blush. Then, Cadenza thought of something.

"Hey Matt? Have you and Jackie ever thought about getting married?" She asked him. Matt's face turned red after hearing that.

"Hehe yeah. I've been thinking about it a lot more lately." Matt replied.

"Well, we were on our way to the mall. You can come with us if you wanna look at the rings." Ebony suggested.

"Sure." Matt replied. He got up and followed the two as they walked away from the castle.

The three made it to the mall and Matt looked at the engagement rings while the girls were looking at clothes. He couldn't find one that he liked until he found a ring with a sapphire gemstone.

"I think she'll love this ring" Matt said.

Matt decided to ask Jackie later that night. Jackie was thirsty and left their room to get some water. After remembering the ring, Matt reached into his shell and held the box in his hand.

"Alright. I can do this." Matt thought. A few moments later he heard footsteps approaching the door. Jackie entered the room holding two water bottles.

"Matt, I brought you some water in ca-" Jackie gasped and dropped the bottles when she noticed the box that Matt was holding.

"Um Matt? W-What's that?" Jackie asked. Matt slowly walked over to her. He took her hand, got down on one knee, and opened the box, revealing the ring.

"Oh my gosh..." Jackie whispered.

"Jackie, I've been thinking about asking you this for awhile. Even more recently." Matt started.

"Matt..." Jackie stared at him and the ring.

"I love you so much Jackie and I want us to stay together. Will you marry me?" Matt finally asked. Jackie continued to stare at him for a moment. She felt tears forming in her eyes and smiled at him.

"Yes! Yes I will Matt!" Jackie exclaimed. Jackie wiped her tears away with her free hand while Matt put the ring on her finger. Jackie hugged him tightly and kissed him.

"I love you so much!" Jackie said and kissed him again.

"I love you too." Matt smiled. Jackie yawned and looked at the clock on her wall.

"I guess we can tell everyone in the morning." She said. Matt nodded. They then changed into their pajamas and slowly fell asleep.
