Way too many glasses of Scotch later, Blaine slurred: "I'm in the mood for a walk. Will you take a walk with me, …?"

Kurt laughed as if he just told the best joke ever. Seemed like the alcohol had gotten to his head already. "We just shared a bottle of Scotch, and you still don't know my name?" His tongue felt so heavy, he was not quite sure what he was saying right now. The Scotch must have fogged his brain, not that he cared.

"You wouldn't tell me."

"Guess it." They left the hotel bar to walk to the spacious terrace with a great view on the hotel's pond. Hopefully neither of them was going to fall in, as hammered as they were.

"Henry?"

"Not even close."

"Sean?"

"Nope."

"James?"

"Of course not!"

"Anastacia?"

Kurt snorted with laughter. "That's a female name." He didn't have to know what his middle name was – another reason why he had been bullied in school. Seriously, what were his parents thinking? As if it wasn't hard enough to be part android.

"And what about George?"

"Heavens, no. Do I really look like a George?"

Blaine scratched his chin, thinking. "Could you give me a hint? I'm bad at guessing, as you have already noticed."

They were the only ones at the terrace, except from that lone person that was smoking a cigarette, leaning against the banister. Meanwhile, it had gotten dark outside, the reddish sunset in front of them looked so romantic. "Alright, then", Kurt sighed with a smile. "It's…" He suddenly went silent when he locked gaze with said smoker in front of him.

Taj.

The band member dropped his cigarette and narrowed his eyes.

"Wait, isn't that -?"

"Run", Kurt cut him off and tugged a confused Blaine by the elbow. "Run as fast as you can."

Rachel just wanted to return to their suite after that short trip to the masseur when she saw Kaz and Bodhi that were about to enter the lobby of their hotel. Luckily, she was quick enough to take cover behind a banister, the other hotel guests that went past her threw her weird glances.

They had absolutely no idea that those two would kill Rachel in front of everyone in cold blood if they saw her. She shuddered at the thought. With shaky hands, she retrieved her phone from her skirt's pocket and started typing emergency texts and sending them to her four travelling companions. Calling anyone would be too risky, who knew whether those aliens had super hearing or something. She told herself to calm down her racing heart.

But how the hell could Brainwarp find them? They had done everything in their power to stay under the radar so far.

Much to her horror, Kaz suddenly started pointing at her direction. Rachel's heart skipped a beat when the duo started walking towards where she was hiding. Oh no, had they seen her? What the hell was she supposed to do now?

Rachel mentally prepared herself for their confrontation when –

"Oh my gosh, don't tell me you are THE Kaz and Bodhi from Brainwarp?!" Two teenage girls had recognized the popstars, blocked their way, and demanded autographs.

The two stars in question looked at them in bewilderment. Rachel used that moment to her advantage and stormed out of the lobby. That was way too close for her liking. She needed to find the others asap and tell them they had to get out immediately.

"Mercedes, you need to calm down", Sam said quietly "It's…it's not that bad, okay…?"

"Not that bad?" Mercedes had raised her voice "Not that bad? I'm burning things down around me, Sam! I … I don't know how to control it, I…" She was starting to hyperventilate a little.

"Hey, hey, hey…" Sam came rushing to her side, ignoring her warnings. "Everything is going to be alright, okay? We will figure it out somehow."

"And how?", she sobbed. "I'm open for suggestions."

He kneeled down next to the bathtub, ignoring the hot particles that were floating around them. "Close your eyes", he said. After she had done so, he went on: "And now, think about…think about the best moment of your life so far. It can be anything. Just think about how you felt at that moment. How happy you were."

Mercedes needed to smile. "It was the moment when my uploaded cover of Aretha's Respect hit 100 000 views. The comments were so nice they made me cry."

"Do you still upload covers?", Sam asked her with interest.

"Whenever I'm motivated enough to record them, I do. But I would rather sing my own songs."

"May I give them a listen one day?"

Mercedes chuckled. "Sure. I mean, I wrote my first song when I was seventeen, it's called Hell to The No and it's hella embarrassing. But hey, I needed to start somewhere, right?"

He needed to laugh. "Hey, I'm sure it's not that bad. And just by the way, you stopped glowing."

Surprised, she opened her eyes and looked around. He was right; even though there were still those shiny particles that were floating around, she didn't emit any of those any longer.

"But…how…?"

"Don't allow your feelings to overwhelm you", Sam said wisely when he got up, he held out his hand to pull her up with him "Your panic must have boosted your powers. It was the same with me when I discovered my powers five years ago: Strong emotions were the trigger."

She got out of the bathtub – and pulled Sam in a hug. "Thank you so much, Sam. You totally saved me."

Sam rubbed his neck when she had pulled away. "Hey, that's what friends are for, right?"

When she wanted to say something else, the bathroom door flew open and none other than Santana came storming in.

"Pack your stuff, we need to leave", she said breathlessly, suppressing the comment what the hell they were doing at the bathroom, all alone.

Mercedes and Sam exchanged confused glances. "What?"

The witch pointed at her phone. "Manhands just texted us all. She just saw the hipster and the hooker in the lobby."

"You mean Bodhi and Kaz", Mercedes translated while she rushed to her room and stuffed her things into her purse. "Alright. Text the rest that we are going to meet at the parking in ten minutes at the latest. Unless the others are keen on getting killed."

Turned out that running while they were dead drunk was not Kurt's best idea. As discoordinated as they were, they didn't come that far because Blaine crashed right into a potted plant and fell.

"Goddammit, Blaine!", Kurt berated him, even though he was slurring a little himself. "Get your goddamn act together, for god's sake!" He blinked confusedly. "Wait...those were way too many gods in one sentence, right...?" Good thing they had stopped drinking.

Unfortunately, though, Taj had caught up with them in the meantime. He looked ready to kill.

"I've been wondering where you and your little friends have been all the time", the popstar said with a devilish grin. He retrieved something from his pocket that unfolded in his hands – a weapon.

Blaine's eyes widened in surprise. "What kind of alien technology is that?", he asked, genuinely interested. Excited, he elbowed Kurt twice. "Is my drunk mind playing a trick on me? You're seeing that too, right? Though that thing looks like a Transformers rip-off to me, to be honest."

Kurt elbowed him back to silence him because Taj started scowling even more.

"It doesn't matter anyway because you are going to die either way", Taj commented.

When Blaine retrieved his own gun, the alien just broke into laughter. "Now that's cute, your little human weapon."

Nevertheless, Blaine shot; once, twice, thrice. The bullets got stuck in Taj's body, but he just pulled them out and threw them to the ground, totally unimpressed.

"What the hell?", Blaine exclaimed perplexedly.

"Told you that your weapons won't affect me. You wouldn't listen." The popstar shrugged. "And now, my turn."

He pulled the trigger. Kurt and Blaine barely had enough time to throw themselves to the ground before the force field of the weapon hit the bushes behind them that caught fire immediately.

"Not bad, you guys", Taj praised them when he stepped closer to the duo.

"Don't come any closer", Kurt warned him while they slowly got up again. "I really don't want to hurt you."

Taj just laughed at him. "Aww. You don't wanna hurt me, huh? What is this? Kindergarten? Are we going to hold hands now? Sorry man, I'm straight."

"You're not my type anyway", Kurt answered "I'm not into aliens that try to take over the world."

"Kurt!" Rachel came running over to them, she looked quite terrified. "Kurt, we need to leave, now. I just saw Kaz and Bodhi at the-"

When she followed Kurt's glance, she quickly shut her mouth and paled even more. "- oh. Small world, isn't it?"

Taj, on the other hand, looked quite delighted. "What a great reunion, right? Where is the rest of your little freaky breakfast club?", he asked curiously.

"Can't you just leave us alone?", Kurt groaned, he was getting a little impatient now. "Besides, why is an alien familiar with our pop culture?"

"Hey, it was a long flight from Caldran to earth. On the way, I watched all the rewarded movies this planet had to offer. Frankly speaking, blockbusters are the only thing you humans have done right."

Rachel sniffed in the air. "You guys smell of alcohol. American Scotch, I assume?"

"That's correct." Blaine smirked at her. "Your sense of smell is indeed impressive."

"What can I say?" Rachel shrugged modestly even though Kurt knew exactly she was far from modest. "I'm a woman of culture."

Kurt rolled his eyes. "That's enough. We are leaving now." He turned on his heel and started walking back towards the hotel's building.

"Hey, wait up!" Blaine ran after him, Rachel followed them quickly.

Taj scowled, beyond pissed that he was being ignored. "What do you think you're doing?" He rushed over to the trio and grabbed Kurt's arm. "You stay right here."

Kurt turned to him; he didn't look happy at all. "Let go of me", he ordered in a dangerously low voice.

"Nope."

"You didn't want it the other way." Suddenly, his entire body started emitting electrical sparks, the lamps around them started flickering weirdly as well. Taj yelped when he got electroshocked. He hit the floor, unable to move.

"I warned you. But you wouldn't listen." Head held high, Kurt walked back in, ignoring how Blaine and Rachel looked at him weirdly.

The trio halted in their tracks, though, because Rex and Deacon were waiting for them inside. When they wanted to back away, Kaz and Taj blocked their way.

"Game over, fellas", Rex smirked.

Blaine looked back and forth between the aliens and their prey as if he was thinking. "Run", he suddenly muttered.

Kurt looked at him confusedly. "Wha-?"

"They want you, not me", he whispered back. "You two run, I will distract them."

"But what about you?"

"I will be fine, I promise. I'm the cop here, it's my job to protect you." He retrieved his gun from his holster. "Now, go!" Blaine pointed his weapon in the round threateningly.

Rex cocked his eyebrows, unimpressed. "You know that thing won't harm us, human?"

"I know." Blaine suddenly pointed at the chandelier over their heads and fired twice. The giant lamp fell straight onto Rex, Deacon, and Bodhi. Kaz and Taj froze, shocked.

"Leave!", he shouted at Kurt and Rachel, who didn't need to be told twice. "I will keep them busy for a while."

"Thanks, Blaine", Kurt said before they left. "And it's Kurt."

Blaine's eyes lit up. "Finally", he said with a smirk when he watched them run off.
