After weeks of calls, texts and facetime Owen and Teddy were finally reunited. She was nervous, he had already signed into the hotel and her room was on the same floor. Their own rooms were a formality. For work she knew one room would be essentially untouched. She dropped her bag in her room and took a couple minutes to get cleaned up, brushing her hair and touching up her makeup before putting on a new dress and tights. She looked at her reflection in the mirror. She liked how the dress clung and showed off her bump, the print was unusual for her the black with the with white stars but she liked it.

There was a knock at the door and Teddy opened it. Travelling for the military even at her rank meant a roommate, she knew the woman well enough but wasn't planning on spending much time in her own room.

"Wendy," Teddy opened the door.

"Teddy it's good to see you," Wendy paused.

"I know," Teddy smiled, "22 weeks."

Teddy stepped back to let the other woman into the room.

"I had no idea you had someone serious," Wendy said.

"Major Owen Hunt," Teddy answered.

"I've worked with Hunt, I had no idea you were that close," Wendy replied.

"We've been really close for years, he's my best friend," Teddy said, "long distance right now though."

Wendy was a very blunt woman and didn't mince her words, "so you got him to be your donor? Will your baby know?"

"Father and we're working things out for us to be together," Teddy replied, "we are a couple. I doubt I'll be in here much, he's at the conference and his hospital is a Fox Foundation one and they put him in his own room. I need to double check with him but I don't see why you can't have this one to your self."

"You and Owen Hunt," Wendy said, "I knew you had worked together before but not that close."

"Then you're the only person who never suspected more," Teddy replied, "both of his ex wives didn't trust me at first."

"But you're in Germany," Wendy said, "where is he?"

"Civilian hospital in Seattle I spent a few years there as well about 6 years ago," Teddy replied, "before I was in Germany. My sister is in Portland so I go to see them when I have time off."

"How will you," Wendy asked.

"We're finalising a few things," Teddy replied, "but this is probably the last time you'll see me."

"Stepping down," Wendy asked.

"I want to," Teddy said, "I want my baby to have a normal family life and my sister is on the west coast, his mom is in Seattle and his sister is in LA. I need to be on the west coast."

"Apply," Wendy said, "I've heard that the chief of staff in LA is opening up."

"I'll look," Teddy agreed, "I'm going to meet Owen, I'll probably only be back to grab my bag."

"Go see you man," Wendy smiled, "Teddy you look happy."

"I am," Teddy said, "I'll talk to you later."

Teddy grabbed her purse and walked down the hall to Owen's room, she paused and smoothed her dress before knocking on his door.

He flung the door open and pulled her into his arms.

"Hi," she whispered.

"Teddy," He smiled, kissing her.

She returned the kiss passionately, "I missed you."

"I missed you too," he replied, pulling her into the room and closing the door.

"Owen," she smiled, running her fingers through his hair.

His hands drifted down her back then paused.

"They're kicking," she whispered, "you can. I want you to."

He slid his hand around her waist and she guided it to where she felt the kicks.

"Teddy," he asked.

"All the time," she said, "they're getting stronger."

"Conference for a couple days then your birthday before we go to your place," he said.

"What are you planning," she asked.

"You'll see," he replied, "you'll enjoy it but it's a surprise."

"What about this little one," Teddy asked.

"It's safe for them," he assured, "I made sure. You're okay to walk a bit?"

"Yes," she said, "walking is good."

"Tonight," he asked, "we could stay here and order room service, go grab dinner, walk and explore a bit."

"Dinner and a walk sounds good," she said, "then come back and hang out. How do we want to work sleeping? I got assigned a roommate."

"How," he asked.

"Army travel," she said.

"Your roommate," he asked.

"Wendy Layton," Teddy replied, "nice enough but we're not friends."

"Do you want to grab your bag and stay with me," he offered, "you get me and a king sized bed."

"I want to stay with you," she said.

"Then lets get your stuff and go for a walk," he said.

They grabbed Teddy's bag and moved it to Owen's room, thankful to avoid Wendy. The two of them walked hand and hand through the London streets and down to the river Thames.

"You okay," he asked.

"I'm good," she assured.

"Do you want to get food soon," he asked.

"Yes," she smiled.

"What do you feel like," he asked.

"Mashed potatoes," she said.

"It's england we can find those," he agreed, "lets head towards the hotel and see what we find."

"I'm enjoying walking with you like this," she sighed.

"We'll have lots of time to," he said, "so tomorrow?"

"I present at 11 and you present at 1," she said, "your coming?"

"I wouldn't miss it," he assured, "you?"

"I'll be there," he said.

"Has your mom said anything more about us," She asked.

"She's excited," he said, "Megan was trying to come to this conference."

"We need to tell her soon," she said, "the longer we wait."

"You said viability," he said, "thats two weeks."

"We should tell Megan she said, "Wendy works directly with her."

"She's going to kill us that she didn't know sooner," he said.

"It's not her baby," she argued.

"I'll just text her," he said, "she'll still be working."

""She'll call when she's ready," Teddy agreed.

Owen texted Megan, "we have huge news!"

Megan, "you and Teddy are finally getting married?"

Owen, "no I haven't asked yet."

Megan, "are you moving to live with her?"

Owen, "no. she's pregnant."

Megan, "how? What? Whos?"

Owen, "ours. My baby."

Megan, "when?"

Owen, "the spring."

Megan, "when did you find out?"

Owen, "before my birthday. I've known a while."

Megan, "when she came to see you?"

Owen, "yes."

Megan, "is she okay?"

Owen, "she's feeling really good. She says I'm starving her."

Megan, "when will you propose?"

Owen, "when she's ready. She says she's not."

Megan, "go take care of her. Isn't her birthday soon?"

Owen, "Saturday. I have a plan."

Megan, "spoil her."

Owen, "I am. We're going to go eat."

"What did Megan say," Teddy asked.

"A lot of questions," Owen said.

"No emotion," she asked.

Teddy's phone buzzed in her jacket pocket.

Megan, "congratulations! Owen just told me."

Teddy, "thanks."

Megan, "are you okay? Is baby okay?"

Teddy, "we're good. Really happy. Both of us are happy."

Megan, "is Owen taking care of you?"

Teddy, "he's good. He's really excited."

Megan, "what about you?"

Teddy, "I was surprised by it but I've always wanted kids."

Megan, "when I stayed you asked me about being a mom and if I thought you could be a mom."

Teddy, "yes I knew. I just wasn't ready for anyone other than Owen to know."

Megan, "did you know then?"

Teddy, "we did. I'm just ready to start saying something."

Megan, "So the second trimester now?"

Teddy, "yes. Feeling good. I'm showing. I'm happy, the baby moves a lot and Owen won't keep his hands to himself."

Megan, "niece or nephew? Do I get to be Auntie Megan? Faroke gets a cousin?"

Teddy, "we can find out on Tuesday. Yes and he does."

Megan, "go enjoy being with my brother. I'm going to assume he's moving to Germany."

Teddy, "we'll work it out and let you know."

Megan, "I'm being paged."

Megan put her phone back into her pocket and ran to the OR wing. She was in Seattle 10 weeks ago and Teddy knew then. Why hadn't Teddy said something? She must have just found out. That's why she was off wine and caffeine and why Owen had gone to Germany for his birthday. Megan guessed Teddy was about 14 or 15 weeks, but he had said a spring baby. She would ask next time she talked to one of them. And Teddy was coming for Christmas, or so she was saying. Could she still fly?

"So Megan's excited," Teddy said.

"Did you tell her when your due," he asked.

"No she didn't ask I thought you told her," Teddy replied.

"I said spring," he answered.

"So anywhere between March and June," she said, "save that for her at Christmas because in 6 weeks there will be no hiding it."

They had dinner in a little pub and then walked back to the hotel. They met Wendy in the lobby.

"Teddy," Wendy called.

"Hi," Teddy greeted, "Wendy you know Owen Hunt?"

"We've met," Owen agreed, "it's good to see you again."

"I noticed your bag was gone," Wendy said.

"I feel like I'm sneaking around like a teenager," Teddy laughed, "don't tell anyone please."

"You look happy, go enjoy it," Wendy said, "you two deserve happiness. You're how old Teddy?"

"41 on Saturday," Teddy said.

"Go enjoy," Wendy smiled, "I actually appreciate the space and time. I have a husband and three boys. I never get to be alone and quiet."

"How old," Owen asked.

"7, 5 and 2.5," Wendy said.

"Three times wow," Teddy replied, "I think I'm good with my one."

"Working like we do," Wendy said, "you need someone supportive."

"Brad is a teacher isn't he," Teddy said.

"He is," Wendy said, "base schools so he can move when I have to. "

"We're going to go up," Owen said, "we both present tomorrow and I want to go over my notes."

"Have a good night," Wendy said.

"You too," Teddy replied, "I'll see you tomorrow."

Walking down the corridor in the hotel a familiar voice called, "Owen? Teddy?"

"Christina," Owen turned.

"Christina Yang," Teddy forced a smile seeing Owen's ex wife.

"Hi," Christina said, "it's been a long time."

"It has," Owen agreed.

"So you two are together," Christina jumped straight to the point.

"We are," Owen said.

"And," Christina started.

"22 weeks," Teddy said, 'our baby. We haven't actually told many people. Evelyn's known for a while. Megan found out today."

"Bailey knows but is keeping it quiet," Owen said, "don't tell Meredith."

"I won't," Christina said, "people will know eventually."

"They will," Teddy agreed, "but we want them to hear it from us."

"Okay," Christina agreed, "I'd suggest a drink but…"

"We're going to turn in," Owen said, "we're both speaking tomorrow and want to go over notes."

"The go over notes excuse," Christina teased.

"We both need to prep," Teddy said, "I was planning on seeing your presentation tomorrow."

"Owen," Christina said.

"There's a trauma one at the same time I have to see," Owen replied.

"I understand," Christina replied.

"We're going to turn in," Teddy said, "I'm tired."

"Good night," Christina said, "see you tomorrow."

In the room Owen asked , "did you know she was coming?"

"I saw her on the speakers list didn't you," Teddy asked.

"I didn't look at cardio other than to see when you're speaking,' he admitted, "I never do."

"I know you do it to avoid her," Teddy said, "and now you avoid Neuro?"

"Ameila knows we're together," he said, "she's supportive. Her and I should never have been married. I rushed it."

"And you don't get to rush us," she said, "you can't rush me. I know you. I know how you work."

"I know," he said, "did you want to review or?"

"I did on the train," she answered, "it's 9:30 and I present at 9. Maybe I should get ready for bed and we can watch a movie?"

"We can," he agreed.

She got ready for bed first then sat on the foot of the bed with a sweater wrapped around her trying to hide in the oversized wool sweater, while he got ready for bed. She wasn't sure which side was hers, every time they had spent the night together they had just fallen asleep in traded spots. She had to lie on her side and wasn't sure how they would make it work. He came out of the bathroom in just his boxers.

"You're over thinking," he said sitting down beside her.

"We haven't picked sides," she said.

"Sides of the bed," he asked, "that's what you're worrying about?"

"And if you'll be repulsed by me," she whispered turning away from him.

"No," he said, "Teddy you're gorgeous! Why are you hiding?"

"I'm round," she whispered, "I've never been round in my life."

"It's all our baby," he said.

"I don't feel like me," she argued.

"I like it," he said, "you're glowing. You look amazing. I don't want to keep my hands to myself but you keep pulling away. Teddy, do you trust me?"

"I do," she whispered, "but you won't like me seeing this."

"I love you," he said, "I have always loved you and will always love you. Let's take the sweater off and just watch a movie."

She let him gently unwrap the sweater from around her and guide it off her shoulders.

"Gorgeous," he smiled, kissing her neck, shoulders and collarbone.

"I thought we were watching a movie," she teased.

"If that's what you want," he agreed.

"Can we cuddle for a bit and see what happens next," she asked.

"We can," he said, "let's get up from here and actually get in the bed. Which side do you want?"

"I like the left," she said, "but thats the side I'm supposed to be trying to lay on."

"And you can't see me," he said.

"It's silly," she said, "what do you like?"

"I like the right," he said, "you need to be comfortable."

"Will I know you're there all night," she asked.

"You will," he assured, "I will not leave you Teddy. I promise I will be here all night."

"But it's only a week," she complained as she got into bed.

"A few weeks and we'll be together," he assured, "you've sent stuff to my place, I'm going to take a bunch of your stuff."

"If I send my some of my jewlery with you in your carry on," she asked.

"I will have it waiting for you in seattle," he promised, "you don't want to bring it with you. You always travel with it."

"Some," she said, "I have my mom's special pieces I'll bring."

"You used to wear her rings on a chain," he said.

"I still do when I miss her," she admitted, "I'm going to send some of the photos with you as well."

"Okay," he agreed, "my carry on has my laptop, ipad and a few spare pairs of boxers. I travelled really light this time so I can bring stuff back for you. But enough talking and planning. It's time to relax. Movie?"

"Something light," she said, "something we've seen before."

They quickly found something and she curled up with his arms around her, both of their hands on her stomach. Half way through the movie he began planting little kisses on her hair. She tilted her chin up and kissed him.
