They say one small change could alter the history and for one small event the fate of Japan change.
1960 a.t.b meteorite fell from the sky and landed on land of the rising sun near Kyoto forest. Kirin Kururugi father of Genbu Kururugi witness it but when he investigate the crash site thinking it might be just a piece of space rock that use to be a shooting star instead is a giant mech crash landed on the ground. A gray and red machine had a brand say (BT-7274) appears to be twenty feet tall and a box-like head with an eye in the middle but seem to be badly damage.
He did try to find any survivor but there was no one inside the cockpit. None thoughtless he can see the implication what this alien technology will affect Japan but Kirin was no fooled if society discovers this, if the super power nations discover this machine there will be blood spilled. Secretly he contacts those who he could trust and scientist to examine the machine in the dark.
For months they study the machine and discovering is century ahead of any current technology of robotic engineering. But the true treasure is the software and memory of the black box what the scientist discover the mech name Titans were designed and manufactured by Hammond Robotics. The black box hold wide range of precious information useful not only it has information about its origin from another world but it's capabilities was astounding. The video footage shown the Titans are surprisingly agile with the ability to sprint, jump, climb, and sidestep. Wielding a wide range of weapons showing the Titans can use melee to damage enemy Titans and rip pilots out of opposing Titans.
The greatest discovery is the Vortex Shield, which allows them to stop most projectiles from damaging them by holding them in stasis then fired back.
However what Kirin most interested is the soldier capable piloting the machine able to fight a Titan and soldiers alike with their equip gear like jump jets and grappling hook he was like one man army.
The teamwork between man and machine was astounding the machine called BT and its pilot Rifleman Jack Cooper proves it. Both pilot and mech not only complete their mission but their teamwork was perfect.
After watching the video recording to the end Kirin Kururugi felt respect to the machine as it sacrifice itself destroying the weapon not only to protect its pilot but uphold the mission to the very end. After the discussion with member house of Kyoto they decided to create their own version of Titan but they will do it secretly not known to the world as they want the advantage of this technology for their own.
Kirin Kururugi as the Prime Minister of Japan he become quite aware upending war from the Chinese Federation, European Union, and Britannia Empire for the sakuradite deposit it was like a moth to a flame as it will attract unwanted attention. The question is not if but when. History already had shown that the Chinese Federation once declares war to obtain the sakuradite but the Japanese won even so how long till another invasion come, could be 50 years, 10 years, even 5 years. As such Project Kyojin was under his supervision and the house of Kyoto would fund the project.
As years past the first Titans frame is ready for testing underneath Kyoto secret property unknown to the outside world, it's the place where the Titan was once found. The testing proves that Titan to be far superior to any current tanks the Japanese had. The technology of the Titan gave scientist theories and ideas for example the Repulsor Lift technology created by Gamu Takayama, which allows the base of anti-gravity device.
After the testing much improvement had made on artificial intelligence to avoid any error on Titans production. Their capability to become one with its pilot was astounding as like their bodies of a Titan move like a human still it's not the same level as the video Kirin had watch.
The creation of new technology was spread through the media however Kirin didn't use this method to share technology for profit but to avoid other super power nation from finding out about the Titan. By allowing a piece of the technology to be known for example the Repulsor Lift was used creating flying air craft or a new alloy for the tanks armor.
After he retire as Prime Minister letting his son Genbu take over his place Kirin created corporation called Kyojin using a symbol of a big with an eye in the middle. They even made a robotic toy and sometime use as a commercial brand. As times pass cold fusion along with ultra-efficient batteries and moors become a reality, ending their dependence on Sakuradite and fossil fuel. As a result Japan industries and its society itself go through a monumental revolution. This sparks jealously from other nations especially from the Holy Empire of Britannia as they themselves belief being a superior race they should had discovery and create those technology first.
During the time of spreading technology Kirin had secretly recruit JSDF soldier. Train them to pilot the Titan and soldier like Rifleman. As years past the pilots and their partner are capable battling and undergo extreme mission with ease. New weapons were created like the 40mm cannon that can tear Titan armor, quad rockets firing four rockets that destroyed four targets at the same time, and other weapons the scientists manage to create. The scientists' most prized creation is Rail Gun cannon.
As time pass Japan becomes a prosperous sovereignty nation known as the golden age of Japan with its advance technology and economy boost which Kirin's corporation Kyojin make it reality. The so called country of the rising sun it's people live happily with ease unknown to the citizen that war is coming that would shatter this fragile peace.
August 10, 2010 a.t.b was the day The Holy Empire of Britannia declare war and invaded Japan it was a surprise attack with it ; Britannia introduce their greatest weapon knightmare frame. Using their knightmare in the war field they had demolish Japan first line defense line easily. Seeing the result it would expect that knightmare will change the tide of war with Britannia winning and renaming Japan as area 11 in a few months' time if not for Japan secret weapon.
One Week Later
"Sir unidentified object is heading this way.
"What do you mean?"
"I don't know, it moving fast and heading straight at us." As the shadow silhouette gotten closer what they saw surprise them as a mech running towards them.
"Sir I think it's a knightmare."
"Impossible we Britannia are the only one who are capable of create one, those Jap probably piece them together to copy us. Destroy it."
"Yes Sir!" The pilots firing their weapons at the mech expecting to be destroy except that machine raise its left arm creating a blue shield that stops the bullets and missiles then repel their projectiles right back at Britannia force as their knightmares exploded and soldiers killed from their own attack.
Impossible as the surprise captain thought witness the disaster of his soldier demise. Unidentified object mech pull out its weapon from the back a giant 40mm cannon gun then fire against Britannia knightmares, tanks, and soldiers alike. Easily punching through their armor and killing them. The appearances of Japan own brand of mech has caught the Britannia military by surprise as they never thought facing a different type of mech against them.
The Titans change in Japan favor with the use of Titans as the machine proven to be superior than Britannia Glasgow while Titans smaller and Glasgow are physically stronger, Titans are faster and have more human movement reaction with their weapon Vortex Shield and 40mm cannon the Titans are dominate against the Glasgow.
Not to mention the pilot of Titans equip with jet packs and grappling hook would slaughtering the Britannia soldiers like flies every time they pop out of their Titans.
They move like the winds as they dodge incoming fire and killing soldiers before they could even shot back. As they jump, slide, and wall running with ease. This gave hard time for the Britannia soldiers even knightmare pilot has trouble against them as they outmaneuver or jump over the knightmare while attaching bombs on knightmares, tanks, VTOL, and sometime soldier.
The battle ongoing for three weeks, Britannia had learn the Titans limitation like Titans doesn't have land spinner that Glasgow has so they can outrun them, has one shield they can defend itself so they can't defend in multiple attacks area, Glasgow are taller and has longer reach, more importantly knightmare outnumbers Titans 10 to 1. Prime Minister Genbu knows that if they keep this up the soldiers will tired out not to mention medical and food supplies are running low.
The situation look dire until Kirin Kururugi the previous Prime Minister now his son Genbu Kururugi taking over his position he now the head corporation Kyojin found a pilot of BT-7274 or BT for short the relic of the Titan that Kirin found 60 years ago.
The pilot is a young boy a Britannia boy at that somehow activates BT-7274 and imprint the boy as it pilot. Kirin's grandson say he and his friend got lost somehow the Britannia boy just touch it activate itself. However what surprise Kirin the most is the Britannia boy give two plans that will help them win the war.
It was crazy for Kirin to believe the boy plan but when BT say it was the best possible way to win Kirin decide to take the risk and made the call with his son Prime Minister Genbu Kururugi the plan call BRD-01 Automated Infantry or Spectres and Operation Titanfall.
This automaton at first were created as labor force to help build and maintaining the Titans since unlike humans would grew tired and needed rest especially when there hundreds of Titans that needs maintenance. Then the boy suggests using the automaton as military forces since the grunts or workers they called not only help maintain the Titans but help crating the Specters.
The automaton equip weapons alone it won't pose a threat but in numbers that's a different story. An army of robots marching towards the Britannia forces firing their custom made machine gun as the machine continue their barrage towards the Britannia soldiers shooting them down as they shoot back.
The Japanese roar in triumph that they still have the upper hand as the Specters marching firing their weapons continue attacking without stopping. (is like the droids from star wars)
Taken the specter was easy but the numbers was the problem not only Titans out class knightmares but having automaton filling the Japanese numbers the Britannia are being push back not giving the time to regroup.
In Pendragon the military officer were having a discussion of how the Island nation of Japan still not being conquered because of the Titans appearance.
"It's been three weeks since the invasion, not only we are not close to the mainland we are slowly being pushed back."
"It's those dam copycat machine called Titans is the cause of our predicament!"
"We can't stop now if we stop our pride will be tarnish as one of the three super powers in the world couldn't conquer a single island."
"Which is why we're using numbers against them we are overwhelm those barbarians with 10 to 1."
"Sir we have a situation." A messenger come and showing the military officer an image of automaton army marching towards the Britannia army through sheer numbers.
"Dear lord, they have robots army this is getting absurd!"
"First when we invade there wasn't anything on par with our knightmares and now they have robots this is getting ridiculous what's next a giant mobile ship."
"Don't jinx us we have already enough on our plate right now."
"So what do we do now? We can't spare any more troops right now, giving the circumstances our forces being pushed back."
"We have to send in the new recruits to the battlefield."

"If we don't bring good new to his majesty he will have our heads, word is he's getting impatient and he won't tolerate incompetent." The military officers shiver in fear at the Emperor and he already executed two officers who bring excuse that he didn't want to hear.
Suddenly an explosion from outside had shaking the room as the officers get out to see what's going on outside. What's going on what they saw was utter despair as a giant brick ship (The Redeye) fired bellow the city of Pendragon engulfing the city in flames while continuing firing to their horror officers recognize that Titans are jumping out of the ship as they descent with ease and landed with using any boost then release their weapons free as the Titans start to shoot, destroyed, and burn anything that's Britannia.
Operation Titan Fall that was what Kirin Kururugi called it, seeing the usefulness of dropping Titan under enemy lines he along the house of Kyoto decided to create a massive air ship secretly. Building a large ship that capable to carry an army of Titans would had being impossible when they started building 30 years ago, they would have needed 50 years more at least not only the lack of knowledge but the men power to do it.
Until the house of Kyoto decided to create more grunts automaton workers then build other grunts with this is was enough to finish in least then 30 years, the ships was called Arashikage. It applies in using stealth technology from the BT memory data.
Arashikage the first airship to be built has proving the test flight towards the stratosphere was success but they didn't think Arashikage will take the war mission so on. The airship mission was to sneak attack into the heart of Britannia homeland to demoralize the Britannia citizens who are supporting the war. Arashikage had being equip with a cloaking device recently thanks to the Britannia boy open the black box memory from BT-7274 then Kirin's men quickly made the device and isn't power by Sakuradite. With this it is able to avoid detection as it hover using the anti-gravity device into enemy territory.
Inside the ship they are 500 Japanese train soldiers and 50 mech Titans included the man leading them is General Todoh along with the four holy swords as he stare at his custom made Titan Vanguard class equip with a chainsaw Katana. This task was given by the Prime Minister their mission is to destroyed the Britannia strategic point, the military infrastructure, knightmare factory, and nobility.
The nobles, viscount, and dukes are the ones that needed to be focus as they hold power and influence, killing them would halted any influence within other area numbers especially when one of them provide the funds.
Japanese soldiers were suppressing their emotion can finally release their rage against all Britannia regardless if they are nobles, soldier, or just women and children because Britannia people being zeal about dominate them during the war. Thinking they are safe and sound while people of Japanese being kill. For their death of their families and friends it time to break them of their comfort zone as they say blood must be paid by blood.
The carnage began as Titans destroyed everything around them killing all citizens without care the loss of their love one's can only be filled with hate. Some of the Britannia citizens manage to escape the war zone some of the Titans pilots have to urge to chase and kill them but General Todoh kept them in line while he understand how they feel they are still on a mission. They need to stop the war not continue it, killing those commoners are pointless it is the nobles, government, and the military they need to take down.
The Japanese forces march and destroy anything around them focusing the area around the palace where the nobles would live. All Britannia knightmare were already use and sent to Japan leaving Britannia complete defenseless even the military base in Pearl Harbors doesn't have enough military strength to spare.
The Titans scorch the area using flame thrower, burning down everything that stands including the soldier and police force that stayed. However the Titans force leaves the police, firemen, and ambulance alone as long they don't stand on their way. They maybe soldiers but they are not merciless
Charles the Emperor of Britannia can only frowned in frustration the invasion of Japan was a failure not only they failed to conquered Japan the surprise attack on Pendragon was a complete nailed to the coffin. He doesn't need to hear Schneizel and Bismarck that this attack is nothing more than a warning to strike fear towards the citizen of Britannia that they are not safe even in the homeland.
It was unexpected for Japan to have their own mech that rival against their knightmare still he was confidence they can overwhelm them by share numbers and Britannia being a warlike nation than pacific Japan. Only to be attack in the very homeland was unforeseen. Because they were confidence of their superiority they never expect to be attack the very heart of Britannia.
"Bismarck called the messenger tell them to cease their attack and retreat from Japan we have lost this war."
"But your majesty I and the knight of round can turn the tides."
"I know you can Bismarck my knight of one but you fail to see that this attack will stir other countries to make their move. I didn't make you take part of Japan invasion because your present will halt other countries to take action but because Pendragon destruction they will surely take the chance."
Before Charles gives his order he receives a video call from Prime Minister Genbu Kururugi. To his surprise instead the man himself there a 10 year old boy who gave a smudge look towards him the boy who was exiled and caught in crossfire during the invasion without any regards him his son Lelouch vi Britannia.
"How does it feel like to lose against a small island? By the way, the counter attack was my idea I collaborate with Prime Minister Kururugi. "
Then Lelouch laugh like a maniacal megalomaniac "How the irony, the superiors Britannia to feel vulnerable just being attack once and did it on your own turf. As right now with you lack in the military power, the half destruction of pendragon, and cripple forces thus foreseeable to be invaded by the other two super powers. That should be okay for you right father. After all Britannia is all about the survival of the fittest as such you all just need to survive."
After the video call end the emperor was discussing his knight, the other royal siblings were terrified from the surprise attack. Right now they are safety confining in the panic room.
Cornelia was hugging her sister out of fear for her safety after what happen to Lelouch and Nunnally she doesn't stop thinking that it might be Lelouch revenge for abandon them. While the Prince Schneizel was sitting on a chair is looking through the video footage of Pendragon being attack along with his royal siblings.
Schneizel marvel of Titans brawls that the Japanese use even though it lacks beauty and stylish design but it makes up with great mobility, speed, power, and toughness. While knightmares are physical stronger, bigger, more armor, and they can outrun the Titan using land spinner. The reaction and movement are humanlike that it looks like it fighting a person than the stiff movement of a machine making them unpredictable to fight.
The Britannia military did try to capture one but it self-destruct killing the pilot and destroys the mech beyond recognition. It obvious the Japan won't allow Britannia to copy their technology.
The ceasefire and retreat had being received by the emperor order the war between Britannia and Japan came to an end in favor of Japan victory. Britannia supremacy has given a harsh blow to their pride, not only Britannia failed to conquer Japan but lost its supply of Sakuradite and as Charles would say final nailed to the coffin having Pendragon half destroy. Just as Charles predicted the E.U. and Chinese Federation use this opportunity to invade and obtain the area that belong to Britannia up to 20% of their territory.
Britannia situation is in complete chaos with the destruction of the upper class the Britannia citizen are riots as the commoners revolt towards the nobility because General Todoh group destroy and kill many noble asset many nobles become defenseless. The military are still in at the Pacific Ocean and the police forces it's cripple because of the Titans.
But with the help of the knight of rounds and prince Schneizel they were able to minimize the damage but alas many nobility had being killed for those without any use are strip all their wealth in order to fund the cripple empire including the decease nobles. Those who failed during the invasion were strip of their position ranks and power as a reminder of failure.
Schneizel come to understand that empire need to be change if not the empire will collapse because the failed invasion, the sakuradite supply blocked, invasion from both the Chinese Federation and E.U. the list goes on. But it becomes worse when the news precast video conversation between Charles and Lelouch.
The news completely shock the Britannia people as the exiled prince made a deal with the Japanese and insult Britannia. To add insult into the injury Lelouch with Kirin help made a deal with Chinese Federation and E.U. provides them knightmares, in a year time the two nations will have the same knightmare that Britannia have. The Britannia people can do nothing but curse the exiled prince.
With this japan had truly won showing the world even a small nation like them can overcome Britannia might. Even so the prime minister knew this battle was only the beginning of an even greater war. The sparks of war has been lite only time will tell for now Japan was in a state of rebuilding and burying the dead from the war.

Prime Minister Genbu Kururugi knew that more people will enlist in the military including the Lamperouge boy as the sibling called themselves now as the pilot of the Titan BT. A change is needed he can't stay the same course to protect Japan.
Thank for MM for proofreading I got this idea when seeing the trailer of Titan fall 2 and gave an Idea of this one shot on how the Japanese obtained the Titan and use it's Kirin is the Japanese form of "qilin", which has also come to be used in the modern Japanese word for a giraffe. Japanese art tends to depict the kirin as more deer-like than in Chinese art. Alternatively, it is depicted as a dragon shaped like a deer, but with an ox's tail instead of a lion's tail. I don't who was Genbu father but I though that his family members might be name after Japan Mythology creatures.
