The cave was dimly lit, and salt was in the air. Sirius didn't see anyone there. He hoped Regalus didn't already switch the locket. Sirius had appearated in the cave with Kreacher once Kreacher got back, sobbing. Orion ordered Kreacher to deliver Regalus something, and Kreacher was forced to tell Orion about what Regalus did. Now Orion knew about the order Voldemort gave Kreacher, Regalus' drastic action, and Regalus switched something important of Voldemort. Orion immediately recognized it as a horocrux, having read about it as a young boy. Orion immediately contacted Sirius to tell him everything. Sirius was hesitant to have contact with his father, but the Potters and Remus forced him to listen. Peter wasn't in town that day, which was probably for the best considering his real loyalties. Sirius heard what Kreacher told Orion and Orion told him the real locket was a horocrux. Sirius immediately summoned Kreacher, then to take him to the cave then leave.

After Kreacher and Sirius left, Orion looked at the horocrux in the box on the desk. He knew he contacted Sirius in time and vowed not to tell Walburga or his brother-in-law. Telling Bellatrix or Narcissa was out of the question. He couldn't even tell the head of the family, the Blacks stayed neutral with the exception of his neices. Orion now saw the reality of the madman Voldemort after the madman tried to kill their house elf and now his second son sacrificed himself to destroy voldemort's horocrux.

Sirius saw the water was still. He glanced at the basin. He sharply glanced back at the water. Did Regalus already switch the locket? Did the inferi permanly imprison Regalus under that lake? Or injur or kill him?

Suddenly a splash hit Sirius in the face. Regalus flew out of the water then dove back in. Sirius saw him swimming near the surface. He was swimming away from the inferi.

Sirius dove in and saw Regalus ahead with inferi trying to pull him down. A few of the inferi swam away from Regalus and swam after Sirius. Sirius cast the fiendyfire spell too. The inferi quickly swam away from Regalus and Sirius, retreating into the dark corners or going downwards. Sirius flicked his wand as a stream of flames was flowing from his wand, and the flames morphed into a chimaera.

"The inferi are gone now Reggie, I'll use the charm to stop it," Sirius shouted to Regalus, while dodging the flames that got out of hand. Regalus glanced back for a second before dodging a flame coming his way. Sirius shouted the charm of fiendyfire while he and Regalus kept dodging the flames. He didn't get the charm right.

The chimaera fiendyfire was growing out of control. Sirius and Regalus were outside of the cave and gaining some distance from it, even if Sirius could feel it singe his tails and dorsal fins.

Sirius realized if he didn't get the charm right, the fiendyfire would destroy the locket. And Voldemort might be tipped off. Atleast he would be when he got to his cave and saw the whole thing burning down, including the inferi. And Voldemort getting burned by fiendyfire would just make him an immortal ashes if he somehow couldn't stop the fire? Sirius knew he had horocruxes, Kreacher told him. Fiendyfire was now on Sirius' list of spells to use against modlyshorts.

Normally Sirius would'ved laughed at the thought of the cave and Voldy being an immortal ashes. Not knowing something similar might happen to Voldemort.

Right now all Sirius could think about was that Regalus' attempted to sacrifice himself to get on step closer to taking Voldemort down. And Regalus' attempted sacrifice would be in vein if Voldemort had any idea about this after seeing a scorched cave, that may or may not burn the basin with the locket he believes is his horocrux. Sirius also didn't want Voldemort to suspect them for burning his horocrux and hunt them down personally. The thought sent a shiver down his spine, he could only imagine how scared Regalus was. Or the Potters, and even the Longbottoms had to be.

Sirius concentrated and looked back at the fiendyfire. He pointed his wand and shouted the spell. The fiendyfire ceased. Sirius breathed out a sigh of relief. He swam after Regalus, who was swimming faster. He caught Regalus. Regalus fought him. "Reggie!"

Regalus swam away faster until Sirius cornered him near a wall of coral. "Reggie!" he tried again.

Regalus looked at him. "Why did you save me?" he yelled.

"Reggie!" Sirius tried to look into Regalus eyes "What what do you mean?"

"Do you know what he's going to do to me when he finds me?" Regalus asked. "I should've been captured by the inferi and starved to death."

"Wha-" Sirius tried to ask.

"I won't be able to hold my shields against him. That is if I even would go back," Regalus let out a dry laugh. "He's going to hunt me down for deserting him. And I'll wish he casts crucio curse soon when he finds me."

Sirius grabbed Regalus by his shoulders. "Regalus listen to me!" He looked at Regalus with wide, serious expression. "He's not going to get you. I'm here, I'll take the head of Black to save you."

"How?" Regalus asked, almost slumping from defeat. "Even the Blacks can't stop him."

"I'll do everything in my power, maybe even hide you in our heavily warded homes away from civilization and the ministr-" Sirius started. "Have you forgot our family thinks they're a magical royal family?

"I'm not going to burden your side more, James and Lily are already hiding," Regalus said. "Anyways Voldemort has spies and is very close to finding out where James and Lily are."

"You're not a burden your my brother," Sirius said forcefully. "I'm a Black, there is no dark ritual I won't try. I will not let him get you Reggie! For now I'll- I'll, I'll make you in illegal animigus like us! Then-then I'll also find a time turner and you can send yourself back every hour. If there is danger nearby you can spot it prevent it, hindisght is 20/20. I've given James one.-"

Regalus felt his heart swell at hearing that especially after James seemed to take his place. Regalus felt his shoulders sag. "I won't run then. I'll fight with you and the maurders. If he does find me, I'll go down fighting or off myself instead of giving him the satisfaction-"

Sirius pulled Regalus into a tight hug. "I'll fight for you to the end Reggie. I won't let him get you or anyone I care about."

"No I'll fight for you Sirius," Regalus replied. "I replaced the horocrux with a fake locket?"

"Yea,," Sirius said. "Kreacher told me and father, that's how I got here." He saw the alarmed look on Regalus' face. "Don't worry I know father won't tell anyone, he'll help us destroy it. He also sees that madman for who he is after all this." That was the first time Regalus heard Sirius call their father, father. Even if it was a slip up.

"Why don't you send him to the future after Voldemort is gone, with a timeturner?" The brothers pulled apart and looked at the short wizardess before them.

"Daphine?" Sirius asked, wondering what she was doing there. Didn't she go to France for the holidays?

Delphini's lips turning upward. "For now I can save Uncle Regalus. And the Potters, don't trust Peter Pettigrew, the death eater." Lightening struck in the distance, highlighting Delphi's resemblance to Bellatrix.
