Link was in Faron Woods, or at least that's where he guessed he was. It looked different, and as he looked at himself he also seemed different. He was still wearing his green tunic and chainmail, but they were slightly different, his pants were baggy and the strap across his chest was missing. Then he saw he was in some old ruins and before him stood a strange man. He was clothed all in white except for a red cloak he wore, he was covered in diamond patterns. The man's skin and hair were a pale white. As soon as he lay eyes on him a name popped into his head Ghirahim the Demon Lord. He immediately drew his sword, but instead of the master sword he drew a much smaller sword that he didn't recognize. Ghirahim laughed at him and for a second he turned into a large black sword. Link gasped as he saw that it looked similar to the Master Sword.
Link woke up and quickly realized that he had only been dreaming. Still, the dream had seemed so...real. He wondered if it was maybe a vision, or some memory from a past incarnation. Zelda had told him that she had some memories of her past lives and visions, and had always wondered why he hadn't received any. Link looked out the window and saw that it was almost sunrise. He decided to visit Zelda to ask her about the strange dream. He climbed downstairs and for the first time since returning to Ordon Village, he put on his hero's clothes instead of his usual Ordonian garb. He left a note on his door telling where he was going and that he would be back soon. Then he climbed onto Epona and galloped off to Castle Town.

As soon as Linkle arrived in Ordon Village she greeted all the townspeople. There was one particularly missing though.
"Where is Link"? She asked her adopted grandfather.
"I'm not sure, knowone has seen him all day. He could still be sleeping." Bo replied.
After Linkle finished greeting everyone she ran over to Link's house and yelled for him to come down. After getting no response she went to knock on his door, but on the door she noticed the note. She sighed in disappointment and ran back to the village, but stopped as she noticed that someone was in the spring. She ran back and saw that it was Uli's daughter Ursula. She appeared to be praying, so Linkle backed away respectfully. Ursula was only a little older than Linkle, and the two had become friends. Ursula had already heard Linkle's running though, and she stood up and turned around.
"Oh, Hi Linkle, I forgot to tell you that Link isn't here, I'm sorry."
"Oh, it's ok" said Linkle. Then, the girls spent the rest of the day together.

Link made it to Castle Town that afternoon, around the same time when Linkle had arrived in Ordon Village. He asked a Castle guard for an audience with Princess Zelda, but he informed him that she was away on important business. He asked instead for access to the Royal Archives. Which, the guard agreed to do.
He led Link down into one of the deepest areas of the Castle, besides the dungeons, and to a locked door. He handed Link the key, and told him he hoped he would find what he was looking for. Link opened the door and locked it on his way inside. He was surrounded by hundreds, maybe thousands of dust and cobweb covered books and even some scrolls. These date all the way back to even the founding of Hyrule hundreds of years ago. He started with the first shelf, and began looking for signs of what he had seen in his dream.
Later he finally found what he was looking for, the diary of the first hero. It spoke of a twin to the Master Sword. It also informed him that the voice he had heard from the sword was that of Fi, who was the spirit inside of the Master Sword. He also found out that the second sword was also inhabited by a spirit, and that it was the man he had seen in his dream. He continued to research and he found another hero diary. This one was that of the Hero's Shade, who he had met in his previous adventures. It spoke of an Ocarina that had the power to manipulate things, including time and space. Link became very curious after seeing this. He remembered hearing these legends, and now knowing that they were true wondered what had happened to the Ocarina of Time.
He searched the archives for information on the whereabouts of the instrument, but found none. Feeling exhausted and disappointed, he leaned against one of the shelves, causing one of the books to move. Then, he jumped back as the bookcase moved aside to reveal a hidden passage. He lit a lantern and followed the passage. It led to a room with two pedestals, and each had one of the two objects he had read about. The first pedestal contained the second sword, which he dared not touch. The second contained the Ocarina of Time, and engraved on the pedestal was the song of time. Link picked up the ocarina and began to play the song. As he played, his thoughts drifted to how the sword had ended up down here, and he again recalled the dream he had.
As he finished playing, he set the Ocarina back down on the pedestal, and began to leave the room, but he paused when he heard a crack. He turned around and saw that the sword had come out of it's pedestal, and in a flash it had turned into the man he had seen in his dreams. The man gave out a cackling laugh, and he grabbed the ocarina from it's pedestal. Link lunged at him, but the man and the ocarina disappeared in a flash of diamonds. Link gasped knowing what he had just done. He had just freed Ghirahim from his prison, and he could now manipulate time and space.

Later that night, Linkle snuck out to train on her own. She was all the way to the bridge when she heard a thump behind her, and she drew her crossbows and turned around. To her surprise it was Sheik and she quickly lowered her crossbows.
"I left you a note telling you not to come" said Linkle with a slight scowl, but the scowl quickly turned into a grin. "I knew you would come anyway though, and I was right"
"I wish you could've told me where you were going sooner" said Sheik.
"It was a surprise trip"! "How was I supposed to know"? yelled Linkle.
"Shh, we still need to be quiet, there are dangerous creatures in Faron Woods, and we are still pretty close to Ordon" said Sheik in a whisper.
The two quietly ran across the bridge and into Faron Woods. With nothing but the light of the moon they used trees as targets and practiced their aim. Sheik threw his knives and darts, while Linkle used her crossbows. They carried on through the night until they heard a strange sound. Then, there was a rustle in the bushes, and they both stood in a battle ready stance, when out of the bushes came Ursula with Link's old wooden sword. As she saw the two's weapons she raised her own defensively, but quickly put her hands up in surrender. Sheik however picked up the girl and held a knife at her throat.
"Who are you, how long have you been here, what have you heard, why are you following us, and where did you get that sword"? he asked.
"Please don't hurt me. I saw Linkle sneak out with her crossbows and I followed her to the bridge when you showed up. Then, I went back for Link's old wooden sword and followed you into Faron. Then, I hid in this bush until I scratched myself, and you heard me. My name is Ursula, daughter of Uli." as she finished Sheik lowered the knife and put her down.
"You are free to go, but you are never to speak to anyone of this. Do you understand"? asked Sheik.
"Yes, but I want to train too, I may not have much, but I bet Link could help when he gets back" Ursula argued.
"No, you are too inexperienced, and I don't know if we can trust you," replied Sheik.
"Sheik, please give her a chance, I've known her for years, and she can be trusted," argued Linkle. Sheik began thinking, but was interrupted by the sound of a Twilight Portal appearing above them. Sheik gasped and yelled at the other two to make a run for the bridge. The Twilight had already begun to spread. They got to the bridge with Ursula crossing first, then Linkle. Sheik almost made it across when he stumbled, and Linkle ran across the bridge to help him, but as she did the bridge began to break. Linkle helped Sheik up, and they ran, but it ended up being the wrong side, and the Twilight enveloped them, and the last thing they heard from the light was Ursula's screaming.

Link ran back up to the Castle to alert the guards, but when he reached the main hall, it was already too late, Ghirahim was sitting on the throne, and next to him was a revived Zant, or more rather a version of Zant from the past. Link didn't have his weapons, but he charged towards the two evil men, but Zant raised his arms, and a cloak of Twilight began to form, and he Twilight began to spread through Castle Town, Goron City, Kakariko Village, Faron Woods, and Zora's Domain. Link fell to the ground as he again was transformed back into something he had hoped to never see again, a wolf. The force of the pain knocked him out, and everything went black.
