After slowly making their way through the Sacred Grove, Link and Midna arrived at the ruins of the Temple of Time.

"Do you think the sword will work this time?" asked Midna.

"I'm not sure, Faron is still covered in Twilight. Maybe we can try and talk to the sword like the way Linkle said Ghirahim did" said Link.

"Sure, talk to a literal sword! I'm sure that'll help us." Midna said sarcastically. Link turned his head to look at Midna with what could only be described as an annoyed expression.

"What? I've said worse" said Midna back.

They slowly approached the pedestal, but nothing happened. Link tried to grab the sword with his mouth to pull it out, but was stopped by Midna.

"Just what do you think you're doing! That is The Master Sword! You'll get drool all over it!" exclaimed Midna. Link turned around and was about to leave when he heard a voice penetrate his mind.

"Master, do not give up. I will be useful later in your journey. Sadly, I can do nothing at the moment, but I shall tell you what you must do to once again acquire me. I believe I have not introduced myself. The designated name I have been given is Fi. I was originally forged by the Goddess Hylia thousands of years ago, and was tempered into my current form by one of your ancestors. You may recall memories from him and many other incarnations of yourself, but I suggest not to dwell on them. You have awakened a great evil Master. His name is Ghirahim, and he is the spirit within Demise's Sword. Demise is an ancient demon who once plagued the land you now call Hyrule. Your first incarnation sealed him within my sword, but he cast a curse just beforehand. His hatred is now reborn in a cycle and is connected to your bloodline along with that of Princess Zelda. You have already encountered one of his incarnations, you know him as Ganondorf. Although you successfully defeated him, he will most likely rise again in the future. The original Demise is still sealed in my sword, but he can be resurrected with dark rituals. He no longer has a physical body and will need a host. I believe that Ghirahim's intentions are to perform this ritual. In order to do so though, he needs several items. I suggest going back to Faron Spring to regroup with your other friends. I will return when the Twilight is lifted from this area. I will see you later, Master". As Fi finished speaking, the connection with her mind broke, and Link began to notice his surroundings again.

"Link! Hello?! Are you ok? You tuned out for a while" said Midna, seeming very irritated.

"Sorry, the sword…it spoke to me. Her name is Fi, and she gave me very important information for the group. We have to get back to the spring!" said Link urgently. He began to bolt away, but stopped as Midna pulled hard on his fur. He growled in pain and turned around to glare at Midna.

"Slow down, wolf boy! Tell me what the sword said!" yelled Midna.

"There's no time. You can listen when I tell everybody else. Time is of the essence!" said Link. With this, Midna let go of his fur and they bolted back toward the spring.

Meanwhile in Odron Spring, Zelda and Ursula had just arrived. Zelda and Ursula sat in the cold water and closed their eyes. Holding hands, they began to speak in unison.

"Great Light Spirit Ordona, if you can hear us, please answer our plea". After a few seconds, the mind of Ordona touched theirs and began to respond.

"Oh bearers of Wisdom. I hear your plea. I am afraid my power has drained significantly. To bring back my power, you must end this shower of Twilight. To do so, you must each give a dark secret to the Twilight. Then, I will be able to reveal something very important to you."

The two stared at each other, each waiting for the other to speak. Finally, Ursula gave in and began to speak.

"A secret I have never told anyone is that I am jealous of my brother Colin. He has always been the favorite of Link, and he treats him like a brother. He even gets sword lessons. I have asked him, but he says that there's only room for one sword fighter in the family. The thing is, my father is also a swordsman, so it just isn't fair." Ursula almost burst into tears. Zelda wanted to comfort her, but she knew she had to reveal her secret, and she was not looking forward to it.

"A secret I have never told anyone is…", she paused before continuing, "During the Twilight Occupation, Ganondorf forced me to do something before I became his puppet. I had a son with him. He is a little younger than you and Linkle. He is half Gerudo, and is kept under tight guard. I didn't tell anyone that he was my son. I only told them that people would want to harm him if they knew his identity. I am worried sick about him, and I don't know if he can survive the Twilight." After she finished she let her guard down, and a single tear slipped down her cheek. Ursula was utterly shocked, but gave her a hug knowing how hard it must be for her.

Suddenly, the spring began to light up, and the Spirit of Ordona surfaced out of the water. Her light pierced the Twilight, and the Ordon province was freed of Twilight. Ordona turned to face them and began to speak.

"Thank you for your sacrifices. This Twilight is far more evil than before, and that is the only way to clear it as far as I am aware. Now, I must tell you something very important. Both of you are now half Sheik. Sheik is one of the powers of the Triforce of Wisdom, but can only completely work if the Triforce of Wisdom is in one piece. However, at the moment that the Twilight chased you two, the Triforce of Wisdom split in half, and it moved to protect Ursula from the Twilight. As long as the Triforce of Wisdom is split, you are both protected from Twilight. Sheik can still be used, but the two of you must combine in order to do so. One mind will control the movement of the body, and the other will speak. I do not suggest this however, because there is a chance that it will become permanent. If you must use Sheik, only use it in the most dire of circumstances. For now, I will return you to your normal forms, but when you enter Twilight, you will become half Sheik again."

Both were stunned, but understood her words. Ordona returned them to normal and sent them on their way.

Meanwhile, Linkle and Ivena were still in Faron Spring. They had attempted to make contact with Faron, but it was unsuccessful. The two were so far not working well together. Linkle had issues communicating with Ivena, and this was making her very upset. The two paved back and forth through the spring. So far, they had no answers, and they didn't know how long the others would be gone.

Linkle kept yelling at herself in her head.

"Why Linkle? Why?…Why can't you be more of a help?…Why can't you be more like Link or Zelda?…Ugh!, and why did you get stuck with the one person in the group who you don't know"!

Ivena was doing something very similar.

"What is going on?..Why couldn't I go with Midna?…I can't even communicate with this stupid fox!…I should've gone with Midna, she is the only one who knows me well and she can explain everything so much better than these light dwellers!…Why am I just cast off like a dead weight!…Why can't I be the important one?!…Why, Why, WHY"?!

As Ivena finished her thoughts, she had a sudden rush of power and anger. A bright light enveloped her and Linkle scampered for protection. Ivena couldn't see a thing, but she didn't care. All she felt was raw anger, and this anger fueled her power. She began to laugh maniacally and began to float in the air. Her hair acted as if there was no gravity, and her eyes became a mix of red and purple.

As Linkle watched the scene, she noticed that the place where Ivena's wound had been was glowing. Linkle quickly devised a plan of attack, and used her newfound fox instincts. She used her agility to jump up and bite the glowing spot. She felt horrible about it, but something told her it was the right thing to do. Ivena's laughs turned into screaming, and she tried to shake Linkle off, but Linkle did not let go.

Slowly, Ivena's eyes and hair returned to normal, and she began to sink back to the ground. She stopped laughing and screaming and the light dimmed. Soon, she was lying unconscious on the ground, and Faron was as quiet as it had just been several moments ago. Linkle let go and spit out mouthfuls of blood. The spring's water quickly healed the small bite, and Linkle collapsed to the ground in fear, disgust, and exhaustion.
