"What was that"? Asked Ivena nervously.
"I don't know, we were supposed to be keeping watch"! Midna whispered angrily. Before they could discover the source of the noise they heard Zelda call for them.
"Guys! I've made contact!" Zelda exclaimed. The two went back to the Spring to find that the others were now awake.
"What did you find?" Asked Midna.
"Faron is in a deep sleep. He has been trying to contact me, but can only do so through dreams in his current state. That's why I couldn't make contact before, but when I fell asleep, he appeared in my dream. When he finished speaking, I woke up". Zelda explained.
"Well, what did he say"?! Midna asked impatiently, and was cut off by Ivena elbowing her.
"He told me that he has been cursed by the Twilight. The only way to break the curse is to figure out the secrets of the Forest Temple. I'm not sure what he meant by that, but I'm sure that going to the Forest Temple will give us a start". Said Zelda.
"Well duh"! Exclaimed Midna annoyed, and was again elbowed by Ivena.
"Will you just shut up"?! Ivena yelled. Link barked as if to tell them to keep it together. After a couple minutes of arguing the two sisters cooled down and went to opposite sides of the group. Zelda and Ursula led the charge and were unsettlingly mirroring each other. This of course was a result of them returning to their half Sheik forms. They were followed by Ivena and Linkle, and in the back was Midna riding on Link. They came to a stop as they reached the small swamp. Link and Midna made their way through easily as they had done all those years before. Next, Zelda and Ursula turned towards each other and simply stared. Linkle and Ivena couldn't help but watch as the two stared at each other, it was strange and creepy. Finally, the silence was broken as Ivena spoke.
"Uh..what's going on"?
When there was no response Ivena and Linkle slowly backed away. Ivena turned to Linkle and started whispering.
"Ok, let's just pretend that those two aren't there. You saw how Link and Midna got through right. So, I'm gonna help you like that. You got it"?
Linkle didn't know what to do, so she just nodded. They went around the two girls to the edge of the swamp. Then, Ivena teleported to a nearby tree branch and motioned for Linkle to follow. Linkle was nervous and back away whimpering. Ivena then produced a bridge made of shadows with an eye roll. Linkle put one paw onto it and almost fell as it sank through.
"You have to trust that it will catch you"! Ivena yelled. Linkle was still hesitant, but had an idea. She found a nearby vine and tore it with her teeth. She fastened one side to a boulder and the other she grabbed with her mouth. With a deep breath, she leapt onto the bridge, but she fell straight through. In terror she accidentally let go of the vine, and she fell into the swamp.
Meanwhile, Zelda and Ursula were having a telepathic conversation on whether or not to use Sheik to get across the swamp. They had just missed Linkle falling into the swamp when the shouts of Ivena broke their eye contact. They snapped back to reality and saw the newly made shadow bridge along with Ivena who was staring into the depths of the swamp.
"What happened"? Asked the two in unison.
Ivena ignored the fact that they had just spoken at the same time, and turned to face them. Her face was even paler than normal and she could only mutter two words.
"Linkle fell.."
