Chapter 10: The Gathering

The clock in Kyo's office showed that it was 1pm, which is lunch time and Yuya was still not present in the office. He was not angry, he was just irritated. There was a knock on the door and it was Kosuke, asking him whether he would like her to get him anything for lunch. Kyo calmly told her that he will be leaving work soon. He was very focused at getting his work done, stomping his long lean fingers on the keyboard when suddenly he heard another knock on the door.

"Come in," he said, eyes still focused on the monitor.

"KYO-SAN! I didn't know you were in early today. Too early I might say. And where is Yuya-san?" it was the ever-so-cheerful Yukimura.

"I don't know. Don't assume I care about that Dogface. She has her own life and I have mine," Kyo retorted.

".. Okay.. domestic issues it seems. Well, we're going out for lunch, do you wanna come?" Yukimura trying to get him out of the office. It was rare for Kyo to be in the office before 5pm.

"I'll be leaving soon," said Kyo. Yukimura chirped his goodbye and left Kyo in his office. "Finally, some peace again," said Kyo. He stopped typing, took his phone from the table and checked the last message he sent to Dogface. "What… it's not delivered? Tch!"

His phone suddenly rang. It was an unknown number. He answered.

"Hello, is this Mibu Kyo," said the caller.

"Yes," he answered.

"Kyo, it's me Yuya. I'm calling you just to let you know that I'll be coming in early at around 3pm today because I have to be at my other job a bit earlier today," said the voice over the phone.

"Where are you and whose phone are you using? Didn't you get my message?" Kyo asked her.

"What message? Remember the fire? I lost my phone," said Yuya. It was just silence from Kyo's side. "Hello, Kyo, you still there?"

Kyo hung up. He typed his last line on the computer and then left the office. "So that Dogface is such an unfortunate piece of work. No phone, no laptop, no nothing."

Three hours later, Kyo was already home. He went up to Yuya's room and found her not there. He thought Yuya must be at the office now and he began to "infiltrate" her room. He placed one small box on her bed and another medium sized box on her dressing table. He left the room with a grin on his face. He was going down the kitchen to get some drinks when suddenly the bell at the front door was buzzing. He took a can of beer from the fridge and made his way to the door. He checked the security camera and saw the one person he would prefer not to see right now. He reluctantly opened the door.

"My darling, Kyo-san~" said the person at the door suddenly resting both her arms on Kyo's shoulder. " I went to your office and they said you went home"

"What are you doing here, Okuni?" said Kyo.

"I just wanna say hi. I missed you Kyo-san," Okuni making her way to the living room and comfortably sitting on the sofa. "I have something for you though," she took out a red envelope from her purse.

Kyo walked over to the sofa, took the envelope and took the piece of paper which is inside of it. The gathering: "Mary" had a little lamb. Two, in fact. Find your way and you'll get your clue Onime No Kyo.

"Where the hell did you get this?" He asked.

"Well, I picked it up at your office. I was there looking for you but you were not there. So it's true, you've been receiving messages, so I heard," said Okuni taking off her coat. She was wearing very revealing dress baring almost half of her front part and all the back.

Kyo sat down next to her. "What do you know about this?"

"I know some stuff. I heard that you've been receiving these messages. But of course, I'm willing to risk my life, finding more information for you if you give me the attention and love that I need," she said nearing her face to his.

Kyo grabbed her neck, almost strangling her," Don't shit with me Okuni. What do you know? Who sent these?"

Okuni struggled and choked. She pushed Kyo and sat on top of him. Holding both his hands up on his side, half dressed down, revealing one of her ample breasts. "Hate me Kyo, let me be the only one you hate and let me reside in your heart full of hatred. Let noone take my place."

A loud thud on the floor was heard. It was Yuya in front of the door, not knowing what kind of reaction should she be giving in the given situation.

"Omg Kyo, really? Get a room!" she said angrily, stomping up the stairs and straight to her room.

Kyo didn't react. There was no need for explanation because nothing happened. And of course, there was no need to explain to Yuya. She was just someone who lived with him. Again, "Nothing happened" was the enchantment in Kyo's head.

"Who was that?" Okuni asked, adjusting her dress.

"None of your concern. I think you can show yourself out," said Kyo to Okuni as he walked to the stairs.

Yuya leaned on her tightly shut door. Her heart was racing so hard and her face was red. She was embarrassed with what she saw and also her response to it. She had no right to say that to him and that super hot woman who had the perfect pair of breasts, perfect waist size and perfect ass. "Why the hell did I say that!," Yuya rubbing her head vigorously and finally covering her face with her palm. Her face was hot. She let herself slipped slowly down on the floor. Her mind replayed the scene she just witnessed. "She was sprawling all over him when I came in, and with her top off, I couldn't think of a better explanation then what I think it was. But why do I care anyway..." She closed her eyes and slowly crawled towards the bed.

She dragged her body up on the bed and lied down, still, with her eyes closed. "Forget about it Yuya, forget it. Just apologize to Kyo once the woman is gone," she said to herself tossing and turning and suddenly hitting her head over something on the bed. "Ouch, what the -" There was a box on her bed with a card on it.

Dogface. I'm expecting you not to be late again for work.

P/S: Check your dressing table.

Yuya in disbelief, unwrapped the box and found a new phone. "An iPhone.. Wow.. this is my first smartphone." She put the phone back in the box and walked towards the dressing table. There was another box screaming unwrap me on the table with a card on it.

Hope this will help you with your assignments.

She unwrapped the box and it was a MacBook.

"Kyo…." her heart melted and her eyes were starting to be teary. There was another envelope next to the box. She opened the enveloped and there was a note.

This is the company credit card… from Muramasa, of course. Get yourself some g*ddamn decent cloths. You look uglier in your rags than you already are, especially at work. Maybe a push up bra would do you justice for your sorry flat-chest.

"Ugh! Just for a second there, I almost thought…" she decided not to think about it. She walked back to the bed and turned on the new phone. She explored the phone and fell asleep.

By the time Yuya woke up from her nap, it was already dark outside. She checked her phone and it was 6pm. "Oh no! Kyo's dinner!" she quickly ran to her bathroom to wash her face. She went to her dressing table to brush her hair and spotted the box with the new laptop. She felt really guilty about what happened in the afternoon. She wondered why she reacted that way and she felt a pang in her heart remembering it. She brushed the thoughts off her mind and went out of her bedroom. As she was walking towards the stairs, she stopped and she thought she should go to Kyo's room to apologize to him. She walked over and knocked on the door. There was no answer. She wanted to use her card to unlock the door but hesitated. "Didn't he say all access will be logged?" She thought of many excuses and came out with "I thought you passed out since there was no answer when I knocked" for an excuse, in case Kyo asked. She used her card to access the room and he was not there. She gave a long relieved sigh.

Yuya went down the stairs and walked towards the kitchen. She heard some noise in a room just below hers. "This is one of the many rooms in this house that I haven't explored." She tried her access card and she was given permission to access. As she opened the door, she saw Kyo in a black hakama holding a long katana practicing his kenjutsu. She observed his perfect build and suddenly she had a hard time breathing. She felt her stomach churned just from seeing Kyo from the back and his perfect form when swinging his katana. She's not a martial art expert, but, she found it… sexy. Her heart was racing so hard and blood rushed through her head. She tried to shake it off her head but her eyes just won't listen and was fixated to Kyo. Worse, she found him very attractive with the hakama, sweats and stuff. The coldness in the room gave her the chills and yes, Kyo was sweating gracefully, she thought.

Kyo felt her present and she wanted to ignore her, but of course, he was also curious at what she has got to say about the incident in the afternoon.

"What do you want?" he asked not even turning his head to look at her.

Yuya was rudely awaken from her imagination and she shut the door behind her. "I… I wanted to apologize for this afternoon. I know it's not my place to say those things to you and I'm really sorry," said Yuya.

Kyo stopped swinging his katana. He was smirking under the dim light. He put his katana back in the sheath and walked towards Yuya. Yuya's head was not focused and she didn't even dare to look him in the eyes. Kyo's face was so near to hers and she could feel his breath on her neck. Once again, Yuya thought she was going to get a heartattack.

"If you would grow these just like Okuni, then perhaps I would be a little bit happy to see you around this house," said Kyo with one hand squeezing one of her assets.

"Hyan~~~ Wh- What are you doing Kyo! Jerk!" said Yuya, contradicting her inner desire of wanting more of what Kyo is doing to her. She felt guilty towards herself.

Kyo's action was stopped by the ringing on his phone. "Yes….. Yeah.. I'll let you know where to meet. Okay…" was the conversation he had. Yuya was leaning against the door with her eyes shut. When she opened her eyes, Kyo was wiping sweat off his neck and hair with a towel in the middle of the room and ignoring her presence.

Yuya took a deep breath and sighed. "I'll cook you dinner now."

"Don't bother. I'll be having dinner outside…" Kyo answered.

Yuya didn't answer. She felt that Kyo was still angry at her for this afternoon.

"Also, I'll give you a ride to your work," Kyo continued.

Yuya turned the knob, "Kyo… thank you for the phone and laptop. I'm really grateful."

"Don't get the wrong idea. I hate the fact that my servant is late for work or being incompetent because she has other shit to settle and neglecting her duty towards me." He walked towards the door, "Get ready, we'll leave after I'm done with my shower."

Before they left the house, Kyo texted Bontenmaru and the gang of where he was heading. He remembered the red envelope that Okuni left on the coffee table. He brought it with him and both him and Yuya made way to the parking. "We're taking the Hummer," he said to Yuya who was standing besides the black beauty, The Bentley.

In the car, on the way to her working place, Yuya was already texting Shinrei, informing him that she now has a phone and they could finally update news of each other. She thought of what happened with Shinrei earlier in the day. Her heart skipped a beat just thinking about him and she wanted to see him soonest, just to brushed off the awkwardness from this afternoon. "So much drama in a day…" she thought.

"Hey Dogface.."

"Yeah?" answered Yuya still focused on texting, ignoring the fact that Kyo was calling her Dogface.

"Why are you working so hard day and night? You're staying at my place now, not a bad place at all compared to your previous dump and you've got a decent paying job already. Not to mention your classes. What are you? Iron soldier? Why another job?" Kyo blurted his thoughts out, unintentionally.

Yuya stopped texting and her gaze moved to the busy road ahead. "I need money to fund my search for the person who killed my brother. The guy has a cross mark on his back," said Yuya.

"You looking for a murderer? Hahahahaha!" Kyo was laughing at her seriousness.

"Why are you laughing? This is serious matter Kyo. I cannot die until I find this murderer"

"Ho… okay," said Kyo.

"How about you, why are you not staying with your brother and dad?" Yuya tried to continue having a conversation with Kyo.

"That's… That is not your business. You're just a servant," he replied, trying to avoid answering the question.

They arrived at Anri's Place, where Yuya is doing her part time job.
