At the Kaiba Corp building

"Mr. Kaiba. Welcome back, Sir." One of the Big 5 members said, faking relief that Seto Kaiba was safe and sound.

"W-what an unexpected surprise." Another Big 5 member said nervously.

"Yes. I'm sure it is, you treacherous snakes." Kaiba said with a bit of anger, as he knew that they were lying. "You see…I know all about your partnership with Pegasus and the scheme you had to take over my Corporation."

"That's right. What you guys did was really messed up." Said Mokuba with a glare at the ones who betrayed him and his big brother. "Working with that creep to try and get rid of my brother and me? You guys are sick!"

"You're all fired! And I suggest you leave now before I really lose my temper and take more than just your jobs!" Kaiba said, firing the Big 5 for their betrayal of him and his little brother to Pegasus and trying to steal his company from him.

"But let us explain!" A Big 5 member said as he sweated a bit.

"Don't test me, you slime!" Kaiba warned.

"Seto, if you let us speak, you'll understand why we did what we did."

"That I doubt!"

Another Big 5 member then explained, lying to the billionaire duelist. "The sole reason we formed this so-called partnership with master-" He said but immediately corrected himself. "Mr. Pegasus was to rescue you."

"Yes. Johnson is absolutely correct." The other Big 5 member added, also lying. "Pegasus was the one who wanted your company and we thought that if we had some sort of phony partnership with him, it would lead us to you."

"You expect us to believe that?" Mokuba asked, not believing their lies.

"Seto, we had no intention of taking over Kaiba Corp." The Big 5 member said, before saying something that he knew Kaiba would believe. "In fact we've been waiting for your stamp of approval before we sent out our latest product: your Virtua pod. We've prepared it for market distribution and the one you've called in to test it is here now. In fact, she's already in the game."

"Really? Impressive. But don't think that that means you're off the hook. Any of you!" Kaiba said with an impressed but threatening voice before he and Mokuba left the room, while the Big 5 members smiled evilly, knowing that they had gotten Kaiba to fall for their little trap.

A bit later in an elevator

While Kaiba was a little excited about testing his new pad, Mokuba was a little worried. "You just got back. Why do you have to try it out right now?"

"You don't have to worry about it, Mokuba."

"But it could be a trap." Mokuba said with worry.

"You're forgetting, little brother: I designed each and every program in this game myself." Kaiba reminded his little brother before the elevator stopped and they walked out of it. "You know how long I've waited for this moment? And now it's finally here." He said with excitement before they entered the room with the Virtual pad. When the lights turned on, Kaiba was delighted to see the invention that he designed. "Isn't it beautiful? And it's finished at last." He said before getting into the pod and inserting his Dueling deck into the drive recognizer before the virtual screen closed. "Get ready, Mokuba."

"Big brother, are you positive about this?" Mokuba asked, still worried.

"Absolutely. Now start it up. I won't be long, Mokuba." Kaiba answered.

Mokuba then reluctantly started up the pod. "Be careful!" He said with concern.

With Kaiba in the virtual world

"Hmm...this mind transfer portal has certainly been smoothed out. I can hardly even feel the separation from my body. Now let's see how the Virtual World itself is." Kaiba thought before he entered the virtual world, seeing it exactly like he designed. "Hmm...so far so good." He said before walking around the virtual world and saw the Two-Headed King Rex, which had an attack power of 1600 and a defensive power of 1200. "Excellent. Just like I programmed." Kaiba said before he got out a card from his Dueling disk. "I summon the Blue-Eyes White Dragon!" Before his ultimate creature came to life and quickly destroyed the Two-Headed King Rex with his White Lighting attack!

But as soon as the beast was destroyed, another monster was getting close: the Armed Ninja, which Kaiba was surprised to see. "The Armed Ninja? I didn't design this!" He said before looking at his Blue-Eyes. "White lightning attack!"

But as the dragon fired his attack, another card: the Dragon Capture Jar, appeared and sucked the Blue-Eyes into it, much to Kaiba's shock before he was captured in a bet thrown by the Armed Ninja!

Back in the real world

Kaiba's pod was electrocuting him into unconsciousness, much to Mokuba's worry as he opened the pod and tried to wake his brother but couldn't. "Seto! Seto!"

But that was when a screen came on as the doors locked. "Your brother's obsession with technology has always been his greatest weakness." A Bug 5 member said evilly.

"What have you done to him?!" Mokuba said with a bit of anger.

"Kaiba should have listened to your warning, little Mokuba. But now it's too late, and his mind is now imprisoned in his own game."

"Yes. Thanks to a few technical modifications we've made." The other Big 5 member added before continuing further. "And with you as our prisoner once again, there'll be nothing to stop us from taking over Kaiba Corp."

Mokuba looked at his big brother one more time before he heard the doors opening and quickly grabbed his brother's dueling deck and getting out of the room through the ventilation system.

Kemo reported this to his new employers and a Big 5 member spoke with anger. "What?! He escaped?! Well, find him, you idiot!"

"Relax. We don't have to find little Mokuba, he'll come back to us soon enough." Johnson assured his fellow employee.

"Why is that?"

"Because we have his brother. And if Mokuba wants to save him, the only way to do it is by using the Virtual pad and beat the game he's trapped in." Johnson answered evilly. "A feat that is quite unlikely."

A bit later at Solomon's shop

Yugi and his friends were continuing to teach Tea to become a better duelist. She had already defeated Joey and Tristan and had defeated Solomon 3 times in a row a few weeks ago, getting her new powerful Dragon card as a reward, which she used to defeat Tristan a few minutes ago.

"Man, Tea you're getting better everyday." Joey said, impressed and admiring how Tea had gotten better at dueling.

"Yeah. And that powerful new dragon card Mr. Solomon gave you sure helped out quite a lot when we dueled. Same with the Dark Magician Girl and the Vorse Raider. And you're quite skilled in magic and trap cards, too." Tristan added with equal impressiveness.

"Hahahaha. If she's good at these types of duels, wait until she tries it out on a virtual dueling arena." Yugi said with a smile.

"Say, what is that powerful Dragon card you got now, Tea? I didn't get a chance to see it when you beat Tristan." Joey, who had just returned from drinking a soda, wondered.

"Sorry, Joey. You're gonna have to wait until we duel in a virtual simulator to see my new dragon card. Trust me, you're gonna be really surprised... and maybe a bit jealous, too." Tea said with a smirk.

But that was when the door opened, revealing a wet Mokuba. "Help me."

"Mokuba!" Tea said as she quickly ran to him and helped him inside.

A bit later

After getting Mokuba some hot chocolate to drink, he explained what had happened. "So you're saying that the only way Kaiba can escape is by winning the game?" Yugi asked.

"But if those creeps reprogrammed the entire game just to keep Kaiba trapped there, how is that possible?" Tea asked with doubt, thinking that it was impossible to beat an adventure game that had been reprogrammed to keep someone trapped in it.

"I don't know, but I thought you could help." Mokuba said while looking at his drink.

"We will, Mokuba, we will." Solomon assured the young Kaiba. "Now, tell us some more about this Virtual pod your brother was designing."

"I don't know much. I was pretty young when he started it." Mokuba explained. I remember him spending endless hours working on the prototypes, trying to make it perfect."

"Prototypes? You mean there are more of those things?" Joey asked.

"Yeah. In his lab. It was my brother's dream to create the world's ultimate virtual adventure land. But those corporate jerks turned it into a nightmare." Mokuba answered.

This got Joey angry a bit. "Humh. Lousy suits. We'll show them like we did Pegasus."

"Yeah! We'll use those pod prototypes, go into the game and rescue Kaiba." Yugi said with determination to help his rival.

"Thanks, guys." Mokuba said gratefully.

As the 4 kids left the shop, with Solomon proud of them, following Mokuba, they finally got to the Kaiba Corp building and found the way into Kaiba's lab with Mokuba's help, as he used to sneak into the lab all the time, despite his big brother not liking anyone else messing around in it.

After getting into the room that had the virtual pods, Mokuba turned on the lights and began to start up the pods. "Wow. Those are the prototypes? Amazing." Tea said impressed.

"Only 4 pods." Joey said, noticing that there were only 4 pods. "Looks like someone's staying here."

"I'll stay here." Tristan said, voting on staying with the pods while looking at Tea. "Besides, Tea wanted a real test for her new dueling skills, here's her chance."

"Well I know I'm going." Mokuba said to his friends.

"Mokuba, you're the only one who knows how to work these things. You should stay here." Joey said with a bit of worry.

"Yeah. But I also know about the virtual world that we're going into." Mokuba countered.

"Good point." Tea said before they all got into their pods, inserted their decks and waited until Tristan activated the pods before he quickly used some things to seal the door so no one could get in. But unfortunately, the Big 5 members immediately knew what was happening and sent Kemo and the other guards to the room to unplug the pods and trap them inside the game, just like Kaiba.

Meanwhile, inside of the virtual world

"I'm glad we brought our dueling decks, guys." Yugi said as he looked at his life point count on his duel disk. "But this life point count makes me a bit nervous. I mean, I know what happens in a video game when you lose a life, but I wonder what happens here? Kind of a scary thought."

"No joke, Yuge." Joey said in agreement.

"I know right?" Tea asked.

When they got through the forest, they quickly made it to the graveyard. "Great. He had to add a graveyard area, huh?" Tea asked with a bit of disgust for the graveyard area as they walked through it.

"It's hard to believe that all this is virtual and not real." Yugi said with disbelief.

"Looks kind of real to me, Yugi." Tea said with a tremble in her voice.

Suddenly, Zombie type monsters bursted from the graveyard grounds, shocking Joey. "Z-zombie alert!" He said spooked... until he saw that the creatures were duel monsters by the life point count above their heads. "Wait, these zombies are nothing but duel monsters." He said before drawing a card, but didn't know how to summon the monster, annoying Yugi, Tea and Mokuba.

The little Kaiba brother then drew his own monster card and said. "Why don't I show you how it's done? I summon the Rude Kaiser!"

"And I summon the Dark Magician!" Yugi said

"And for me: the Dark Magician Girl!" Tea finished before all 3 monsters were brought to life! "But first, I'll use my Shield and Sword magic card to switch their attack and defense points, making it so their attack points become 0!" She said before doing just that.

The summoned monsters then attacked the Zombie monsters and destroyed them, making everyone cheer and impressing Yugi, Joey and Mokuba. "Wow, Tea, that was really impressive." Joey said with a smirk.

"Well, I remember you dueled with them before when you dueled the little creep Bonz in that cave at Duelist Kingdom. That's how I got the idea." Tea explained, while also remembering how to defeat zombie monsters.

"I gotta say, Tea, your dueling skills have come a long way from what they were a few months ago." Yugi said with a proud smile to his female friend.

"That really was an impressive move, Tea. I didn't know you had such great duelist potential in you." Mokuba said, also impressed. But then, he saw a floating around card with some coins and a big number 5 on it. "Hey, guys, check this out."

Yugi picked up the card, along with Tea, Joey and Mokuba. "It looks like some kind of scoring system." The spikey haired duelist guessed.

Tea checked her life points and saw that they weren't increasing. "Not for extra life points, though. The score cards must be for getting special items or something." She guessed before seeing a small fairy type creature. "And I know that I'm not a video game expert, but I think that fairy wants to show us where to go to next."

"Yeah. Let's follow it." Joey said before they did just that as the fairy led them to a cliff before disappearing.

Mokuba then saw something below and called out to his friends. "Hey guys, look!"

"Wow. It's an entire virtual town." Yugi said with amazement.

"Let's go explore it." Joey suggested. After getting into the town, they saw a duel monsters card stand, with very strong cards. "Hey, this'll come in handy. We'll take it."

"I don't think it works that way, Joey. Look at the price." Tea told her friend, seeing that the price for the cards was 2,000.

"What? 2,000?! We should have at least scored that many from those zombies." Joey said as he looked at his scorecard. "5?!"

"Let's just concentrate on finding my brother first." Mokuba said with annoyance.

"Mokuba's right. Besides, we have our own decks, and that should be enough." Tea reminded them while looking at her deck of cards.

"Let's split up, guys. Search every street, question every virtual person you see. Somebody must've spotted him or knows something about what happened to him." Yugi told everyone, thinking that the virtual townsfolk knew something about what happened to Kaiba. "When we're done, let's meet back at the water fountain."

After searching everywhere in town and questioning the town folk, everyone met up at the water fountain, with Mokuba coming in last, after Joey joined in with a virtual dog biting him and making Tea giggle a bit. "Hey guys, I got a lead: an old woman I was talking to said that she saw a man with a prisoner crossing the desert to get to that mountain this morning. And the only way to get to it Is by crossing the desert." He said as he showed them the mountain across the desert.

"Okay, so where's our ride out?" Joey asked before Mokuba ran ahead, with himself and the others following him. But as they crossed through the desert, they saw that the sand actually felt real before they were all hit by a sand twister, which sent them all right back to the Virtual town.

A bit later, a virtual old man told them that the only way to cross the desert was by winning a Niwatori card, which could cross the desert with no problem. After searching for it in the card stands and finding nothing, Yugi figured out that the Niwatori card had to be won as a prize by defeating the champion of the Shadow Coliseum.

After signing up for the battle, with Joey being the challenger in a cape and pig mask, the Grand Battle Chief announced that the battle begin, with the champion, Madame Butterfly coming out on a carrying chair. "Whoa, the champion's a girl, and from the looks of it, she's ready to rumble." Joey said a bit nervously at the female champion.

"Well, I knew guys could be dirty as pigs, but I didn't think they dressed the part." Madame Butterfly said as she drew a card. "Hope you duel better than you smell, you swine." She said in a very familiar voice.

Tea seemed to recognize the voice but wanted to be sure by seeing her dueling monsters. "That voice. Is it…?" She thought to herself, thinking that it could actually be who she thought it was.

"You know what I like about butterflies? They don't talk." Joey said as he prepared his favorite monster. "This card will clip her wings, and win us that Niwatori card." He thought before unleashing his Flame Swordsman.

"Have I got a girl for that dweeb." Madame Butterfly said before unleashing...the Harpy Lady! "Harpy Lady!"

Tea instantly recognized the monster and knew that the champion was who she thought she was. "It is her. It's Mai." Tea said with a happy smile, as she hadn't seen her for a couple of weeks.

"Harpy Lady?" Joey asked, having seen that monster before. "I've seen her before." He said before his Flame Swordsman ran to attack the Harpy Lady. "Don't matter, the Swordsman will take care of her."

"This dweeb obviously doesn't know about traps." Madame Butterfly said with a smirk before activating the Mirror Wall trap card as the Swordsman hit the wall, getting hit by his own attack and dropping his attack power to 900!

"I knew it. I just knew it was her!" Tea said as she rushed in and got between the duel. "Mai."

It was at that point Mai put away her monsters and took off her mask, very surprised that Tea was here right now. "Tea? You're here!" She said with surprise before she smiled and quickly embraced her younger girlfriend in a hug while spinning her around a bit. "Tea, what are you doing here?"

"Rescuing a certain billionaire prick from his own game." Tea said while referring to Kaiba. When Mai leaned in for a passionate kiss, Tea put a hand on her lips to stop her and whispered. "Baby, wait, not here. Not in front of Mokuba." She said while pointing her right thumb at the little Kaiba brother, who was a bit confused.

Mai was surprised that Yugi, Joey, who had taken off his pig mask and Kaiba's little brother were here, but also a bit disappointed that she couldn't share a passionate kiss with her girlfriend because of it. But seeing as they were being watched by a virtual crowd, she reluctantly held off on giving Tea a kiss.

"Ok. But why is everyone here, including that asshole Kaiba?" Mai asked while still holding Tea close and whispering the last part about Kaiba so as not to let Mokuba hear her curse word, as he was still too young.

"My brother was betrayed by the board of directors of his company and they've trapped him here." Mokuba answered honestly.

"They've trapped him in a temple across the desert and the only way to get there is if we have the Niwatori card." Yugi added.

"That's the prize for this match." Mai said before the virtual crowd began telling them to resume the duel. "So Tea, I'm over this place. I may not be a fan of crossing a desert, but as long as you're here, I'll do anything. And I'm pretty sure I can easily get that Niwatori card." She said with a wink to her girlfriend before her Harpy Lady used her Rose Whip attack to get the Niwatori card.

After taking off the outfits, the gang all ran out of the Coliseum while being chased by the angry crowd. But Tea, wanting to show Mai 1 of her new trap cards, got out her newest trap: the Bottomless Hole trap card, which created a Bottomless Hole between them and the angry crowd.

"Well, that was really amazing thinking, Tea. And I absolutely loved that Bottomless Hole card. You've improved so much since Duelist Kingdom." Mai said with an impressed smile.

"Thanks, Mai. By the time they find a way across that, we'll be across the desert." Tea said before they got back to the opening of the desert. "Hey, Mai, wanna do the honors?"

"You bet, cutey." Mai whispered in Tea's ear before she summoned 4 Niwatori.

As the Niwatori crossed the desert, with Tea riding with Mai, another obstacle appeared: a sand storm monster that had 1300 attack points and 1600 defense points. "We're never gonna get past that." Mokuba said.

"Nope." Joey said as he summoned this Red-Eyes Black Dragon. "Inferno Fire Blast!" He said to his most powerful monster before it destroyed the Sandstorm monster with its most powerful attack!

When the dust cleared, Mai saw something and informed the others. "Look. Through the dust. Do you see what I see?"

"Some sort of ancient temple." Yugi guessed, thinking that was where Kaiba was being held.

"Is that where they're keeping Kaiba?" Tea asked Mokuba.

"The old woman I talked to said that the man who took my big brother was going to the temple across the desert. So that must be it. Seto has to be there." Mokuba answered before they all rode their Niwatori to the temple.

When they finally got to the temple, Mokuba rushed in while the others followed him. While they explored the temple, they came into very creepy tunnels with bats inside of it. "This Temple's seen better days." Joey said as he looked around.

"Pretty creepy if you ask me." Mai said as she held Tea close to her.

"Yeah. Let's try and stick together." Yugi told his friends as they got to a door.

"Allow me." Joey said before opening the door, revealing a large maze. "Whoa. It's a large maze. It's just like where we battled them Paradox brothers." He said while remembering his and Yugi's check with the Paradox brothers on Duelist Kingdom.

But that was when the door shut behind them. Joey tried to open it but could even not lift it. "No good, it's locked tight."

"It's okay." Yugi assured everyone. "Remember that this is only a game and we'd never get anywhere by going backwards anyway. Which means we have to go through that maze to find Kaiba.

That was when they heard a girl scream. "Sounds like someone's in trouble. I'm on it!" Joey said while shoving past Mai and Tea.

"Watch where you're going, Joey!" Tea called out.

"I swear, Joey will do anything to impress a girl. Guess he's finally realized I'm far out of his league... especially now that I'm with you, baby." Mai said while whispering the last part in Tea's ear, not wanting Mokuba to know that she and Tea were together due to him being too young to understand.

But that was when a Labyrinth Tank, which had 2400 attack points and the same defense points, appeared. "That's a Labyrinth Tank! Run!" Yugi yelled urgently before they all began to run through the maze away from the Labyrinth Tank, with them catching up to Joey and him joining in!

Suddenly, two more tanks appeared and cornered them all and was about to blast them if Yugi had not quickly used his Magical Hats card to get everyone away from the Labyrinth Tanks. When they hat they were in vanished, another little fairy appeared and led them to a girl that looked just like Mokuba.

"Check it out, Mokuba. I think the fairy just turned you into a girl." Joey said with humor, teasing the little Kaiba brother.

"Great. Can she make you smart?" Mokuba asked sarcastically.

"They look like-" Mai started.

"They could be twins." Tea finished for her girlfriend.

Mokuba walked up to his female lookalike and spoke to her. "We heard someone scream. Are you alright?"

"I lost my guide." The princess looking Mokuba said shyly.

"Well, we're all here now. Can you show us the way out of this rat trap?" Joey asked her.

"I'm lost too." She answered. "But now that Earu is here, he'll find a way out for us."

When Earu led them out of the maze, they ran into a Gate Guardian, which had an attack power of 3750 and a defensive power of 3400! "I don't think there's anything in our decks that can beat a monster that strong." Mai said with concern.

"Those Kaiba crooks must've put Gate Guardian into the game to stop us." Joey said, thinking that those suits must've put this powerful monster into the game.

"How can we beat it?" Tea asked.

"By working together. I'll use my Summoned Skull."

And I'll use my Red-Eyes Black Dragon." Joey added before they spoke at the same time. "And use polymerization to combine them into the Black Skull Dragon!" Before the two monsters fused together into a more powerful hybrid Dragon, getting an attack power of 3200 and a defensive power of 2500!

"Nice one, boys. But we still need more attack power than that." Mai told her friends, as their fused dragon was still a little weaker than the Gate Guardian.

"No problem." Joey said as he got out his Dragon Nails magic card. "It raises our attack power by 700 points." He explained as the hybrid Dragon's attack power was increased to 3900! "Molten Fireball attack!" He said before the hybrid Dragon fired his ultimate attack at the Gate Guardian, destroying it.

The female lookalike of Mokuba was very amazed at seeing this. "That was amazing. You're all so brave, much like the heroes of legend." She said as she looked at Yugi and his friends.

That was when a group of people, an old woman and a few knights, appeared out of the darkness of the tunnels, calling out to their princess until they were in front of Yugi and his friends. "My lady, we've been worried about you." The old woman said with relief and a smile before noticing Yugi and the others. "I see you've made some new friends."

"They saved me. They're the bravest warriors I've ever seen." The princess said with a smile, making the ones who saved her smile a bit nervously. "As thanks, I'd like to invite them as guests to the palace."

Meanwhile, with Kaiba

The billionaire duelist was hanging by his wrists to some kind of offering stone, unconscious before waking up. "Where am I?"

"You're with me, Seto Kaiba." A voice said before appearing, revealing that he was the Witty Phantom, 1 of Kaiba's creations that had an attack power of 1400 and a defensive power of 1300.

"Witty Phantom? You took me prisoner in my own game?!" Kaiba asked with anger.

"Yes."

"Then release me! I commend you!"

"This is no longer your world to command. Your game's been reprogrammed and you're late to the party, Kaiba." Witty Phantom said with a mischievous smile as he put on his hat.

"Yes, I never liked parties." Kaiba said with distaste for parties.

"But you're the guest of honor, or at least you will be very soon. You see, Kaiba, you will have the honor of being our great offering to the Mystic Dragon." The Witty Phantom revealed. "Until then, your misery will be in my capable hands."

At this point, Kaiba had had enough of this. "That's enough! Override protocol and end this simulation!"

"Tsk, tsk, tsk." The monster said with delight. "I told you things have changed. Your code's been rewritten and now all your safety protocols are a thing of the past. Now if you'll excuse me, there's so much to do before the other offering is brought here."

"Huh? Another offering?" Kaiba asked with confusion.

"I know you love the spotlight, but you'll just have to share." Witty Phantom said evilly before walking away and disappearing.

Back with Yugi and the others

The people were escorting the princess, now known to be Adena, Yugi and the others to the palace in carriages, with Tea and Mai secretly holding hands, so as not to let the little Kaiba brother notice.

"I don't know what to think of this game world, but I like this part a lot better than that maze." Joey said.

"I really like that Adena. She really knows how to travel in high style." Mai said with admiration for Adena.

"Not to mention she's very kind and well-mannered for her age. Kaiba must've personally created her to be that way and personally wanted her to look exactly like and base on you, Mokuba. Maybe as a surprise, I think." Tea told her friend honestly, making Mokuba blush a little.

"Wow. Look at that." Yugi said while looking out the window and seeing the palace that was the princess' home, along with his friends.

"Excellent. Hope they got food in this game." Joey said as he was hungry.

"I just hope they can help us. We need to find Seto." Mokuba said, only wanting to find and save his big brother.

After getting to the palace up the green hill, princess Adena introduced herself, surprising Yugi and the others before she left them into the palace and treated them to a nice meal that Joey was scarfing down quickly, much to Mai and Tea's annoyance.

"Please keep your hands and feet away from Joey's mouth." Mai said.

"And keep him away from our part of the meal." Tea added after her girlfriend and loved.

But Mokuba could barely eat, as he was too worried about his big brother. "Princess Adena, do you have any news about my big brother Seto?"

Princess Adena looked down sadly. "I didn't want to say anything before but people often disappear once it's time for the Offerings."

"Offerings? What do you mean?" Yugi asked.

"Every year at this time, offerings are collected from this and another kingdom so that the Mythic Dragon can be revived. The other kingdom has already put up their offering: some stranger from a far away land." Princess Adena explained.

Mokuba knew who this stranger was that the princess was talking about. "That's Seto! Please tell me where he is."

"He's in a dark castle that floats in the sky." Princess Adena answered.

"Why's that sound so familiar?" Joey asked, sensing something familiar about what the princess described.

But Yugi seemed to know what she was talking about. "The Castle of Dark Illusions?"

Princess Adena then looked at the painting on her left wall. "That painting tells the tale. We have passed the legend on for generations. Long ago, a hero escaped that dreaded castle on a flying machine. It is said that he hid his vessel in the ancient city 1,000 years ago. But his ship was never found and there's no way to reach the dark castle without it."

"We could fly there on Joey's dragon." Mai suggested.

"Or if it comes to it, we could use my new dragon to get there." Tea thought, thinking that her new dragon monster and its flying ability could help them despite not wanting to show it to Mai, Joey, Mokuba, and especially not Kaiba due to thinking that he would want it for himself because of his obsession with dragon class monsters. And with how powerful her new dragon monster was, there'd be no doubt that he'd try anything he could to get it because he'd probably think of her as being a disgraceful amateur for having such a powerful Dragon card in her deck.

But princess Adena knew better. "A magical barrier protects the castle. No duel monsters can penetrate it."

"So...what are you going to do about your kingdom's offering?" Mai asked.

"I...volunteered." the princess revealed, shocking Yugi and his friends before she spoke further. "But don't worry about my fate. For with the legend comes a prophecy: it predicts that brave heros will come here from a distant land and unite to finally slay the beast by creating a power strong enough to overcome it."

"And you think that that's us?" Yugi asked.

"Yes. On your shoulders rests the fate of our kingdom." Princess Adena answered with a smile.

"Well, we're going to have to get past that Mythic Dragon to rescue Kaiba either way. So, I say let's do it." Tea said with determination to rescue Kaiba, for Mokuba.

"To properly prepare you, we will adorn you in the manner of our greatest heros." Princess Adena said with a smile.

A bit later

As everyone was dressing up for their eventual fight with the Mythic Dragon, Mai was the first to finish before she saw Tea in an outfit just like hers but blue and pink with a sword as her weapon. "Tea, baby, you look so sexy in that." She whispered to her younger girlfriend.

Tea blushed at that but smiled at Mai. "And you look like a warrior in that outfit, Mai. It makes you really look sexy." She whispered before seeing Yugi, who had just finished his dressing up. "Wow, Yugi. That outfit really brings out the warrior in you, huh?"

"Yeah." Yugi answered with a smile before turning to look at where Joey was. "Joey, come out.

Joey opened the curtains to reveal only his face, as he was embarrassed by what he was wearing. "No way. Here is where I'm staying." He said with a blush.

"Don't be such a wimp, Joey. Come out of there." Mai told her friend with a bit of annoyance.

Joey then reluctantly opened the curtains to reveal his outfit, which looked like it was from the caveman age. "I'm wearing a bathroom rug, guys."

Suddenly, a storm appeared out of nowhere and they all went outside, including the princess as Yugi and his friends saw the Castle of Dark Illusions in the distance, along with an army of Duel monsters coming to collect the princess for the offering. Mai attacked a few monsters with her Dark Witch but Yugi knew that that strategy would not work and tried to use his Black Vortex magic card but was stopped by the Armed Ninja, who destroyed it before Joey destroyed him with his Axe Raider, but not before he got the princess, revealed to actually be Mokuba, who had begged the princess to be taken in her place in order to rescue his big brother. After the princess revealed this to Yugi and his friends, they went to the ruined ancient city and realized that they needed to restore it with the flying machine.

Joey then used the Time Wizard to restore the city and the flying machine to the way it was 1,000 years ago. Once the city was restored, the ground beneath them cracked open and the ancient flying machine flew them into the air, much to the princess' amazement.

"Whoa. We're flying." Joey said with surprise. "Looks like that Time Wizard did the trick." He said before he saw every virtual person cheering for them. "Talk about a Bon voyage."

"So long, everyone!" Yugi called out before Earu flew up to him, wanting to come with them.

Joey took the wheel and they quickly headed for the castle. Once they got close to it, they saw an army of Duel monsters coming to attack them.

But Mai smirked. "Oh I'm ready this time." She said as she drew a card. "I summon the Harpy Lady!"

"Attack, Fierce Knight!"

"Dark Magician, attack!"

"Dark Magician Girl, attack!" Said Tea before each of their monsters were easily destroying a lot of the attacking ones.

All right! Our monsters are kicking butts!" Joey said with a smile.

But that was when Mine monsters hit the machine from the bottom of it, making Yugi fall over before another monster tried to attack him...but Earu took the hit, sacrificing himself for Yugi, much to his sadness and anger. "I'VE HAD ENOUGH!" He yelled out before Yami took control.

"All right, Joey, charge ahead." Yami said with courage.

Joey did just that before it hit the barrier the princess told them about. "We've got the magic barrier." Mai said.

"Yeah. But if this ship lives up to the legend, we can get past it." Joey reminded his new friend. And he was right, for with a bit of effort, the ship got through the barrier!

"We made it! We're home free. We're almost to the Castle of Dark Illusions." Joey said.

But that was when fire came out of the Castle and headed straight for the ship. "Not yet. Turn!" Yami told his friend, who did just that but not before the ship's left wing got hit.

Suddenly, a Salamandra appeared from the castle. But Mai knew what to do about that. "Harpy Lady, attack!" She told her monster, who did just that and destroyed the Salamandra.

When everyone realized that the ship was going to blow, Yami quickly used his Winged Dragon to save them while it also flew them to the Castle, along with Mai's Harpy Lady Sisters. "Kaiba, here we come!"

Meanwhile, with Kaiba

The billionaire duelist was still hanging where he was before the Witty Phantom appeared again. "Wake up, Kaiba. You programmed me to torment my captives, not let them sleep."

"Guess you weren't my most inspired creation." Kaiba told his captor.

"Hahahaha. Come now, Kaiba, give yourself some credit." The monster said before pointing beside Kaiba as Mokuba appeared. "After all, just look who I've managed to snag. His disguise didn't fool us."

Mokuba took off his disguise. "Seto!"

"Mokuba? What are you doing here?" Kaiba asked his little brother.

"What do you think, big brother? I'm here to rescue you." Mokuba answered.

But the Witty Phantom thought otherwise. "Please. You're not in a position to be saving anyone. No. You're about to join your brother for a dip in the lava pool of Atonement. And once that ritual is completed, the Mythic Dragon will be unleashed!"

Mokuba then summoned the Sword Stalker. "Sword Stalker, free my brother!" He told the monster, who did just that. "Here, big brother, your deck." He said, giving his big brother his deck and duel disk.

"Thanks, little brother." Kaiba said while taking his duel disk and deck.

"What? No!" Witty Phantom said with fear as he backed away.

Hahahaha. Time to take a trip to the recycling bin, Phantom." Kaiba said with a smirk as he put his disk on and summoned his most powerful creature. "I summon the Blue-Eyes White Dragon!" Before the dragon appeared. "Destroy that Phantom with White Lighting attack." He told his dragon before it did just that and easily destroyed the Witty Phantom. "Come on, let's go." Kaiba told his little brother before they ran to find a way out.

When they got to the bridges, Kaiba saw Armed Ninjas appearing. "Armed Ninjas. Like the ones who took my first Blue-Eyes, and it looks like they want a 2nd one." Kaiba said as the Dragon Capture Jar appeared again. "But this time, I'm ready." Before he drew a card known as Trap Master. "Go, Trap Master!" Before his monster destroyed the Jar, freeing Kaiba's captured Blue-Eyes. "There. Now that Jar is destroyed. And the Blue-Eyes that was taken from me is back in my control. So now I have 2 and twice the firepower!" He said before both his Blue-Eyes White Dragons destroyed all the Armed Ninjas!

"Kaiba smirked before looking at Mokuba. "Now, Mokuba, tell me how is it you got here?"

Mokuba turned to his big brother with a pleading look. "Don't be mad, but I got Yugi and his friends to help."

"You did what?! You know how I feel about Yugi Muto." Kaiba said with a bit of anger that Mokuba would ask the one that gave him his first real defeat for help.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know who else to turn to."

"Anyone else!" Kaiba said, preferring to be saved by anyone but Yugi Muto. But now was not the time for this. "Now, let's see if we can escape this game." He said before they began to run across the bridge.

Meanwhile

Yami and the others were going through a forest on the Castle of Dark Illusions. "What on Earth? A floating castle with a Dark Forest? I think Kaiba outta spend more time in reality." Joey said.

"Keep your guard up." Yami advised his friends.

"Look." Mai said before they all saw Cocoons of Evaluation hanging on a dark tree. "Cocoons of Evaluation."

"But why are they buzzing?" Joey asked.

"I don't think it's the Cocoons, Joey." Tea said with concern before a swarm of Killer Beetles were flying at them. "It's a whole swarm of Killer Beetles!"

"Not a problem." Joey said with confidence as he drew a card. "Go! Fierce Knight!" Before the knight monster killed a few of the Killer Beetles... and got taken out by a Man-eater Bug!

Yami decided to try something else and drew the Mirror Force card. "Go! Mirror Force!" He said before the Killer Beetles all exploded... before disturbing the Cocoons of Evaluation with the fire caused by it, unleashing 4 Great Moths.

"There's no way we can beat those Great Moths." Joey said, thinking that nothing could stop 4 Great Moths at once.

"No, it can be done, Joey. With these." Yami said before drawing the Catapult Turtle and the Kuriboh cards.

"A Kuriboh on a Catapult?"

Not just a Kuriboh, Joey. A team of them." Yami corrected, before using the Multiply magic card. "Go! Multiply!" He said before the Catapult Turtle launched the Kuriboh at the Great Moths before they multiplied into many and destroyed the big insects when they made contact with them.

"Oh yeah. Kuriboh self-destruct on contact with enemy monsters. Those Moths are done for." Joey realized before they all cheered, with Mai and Tea holding their hands together.

But it was then that the traitorous Big 5 members had decided to finish the game themselves.

As the 4 duelists made their way into the Castle, they suddenly heard something before a vortex-like portal opened above them… before a Blue-Eyes White Dragon head came out, allowing Kaiba and Mokuba to drop down to them.

"Kaiba. Mokuba, you're okay. What a relief. We've been all worried." Joey said, pleased that Kaiba and Mokuba were safe.

But Kaiba smirked at seeing who he believed was a complete amateur in that outfit. "Hahahaha. Joey, you look like an overgrown monkey in that outfit." Before seeing Tea. "And you, Gardner: why are you in my game when you're not even a duelist?"

"Hey! You back off of her, Kaiba!" Mai warned, not caring who Kaiba was.

But before they could talk any further, a voice called out to them. "Congratulations, gamers, you've made it to the final level."

Kaiba turned around, knowing that it was 1 of the Big 5 members. "Correction, you slime ball. We've beaten the game."

"Is that what you think, Seto Kaiba?"

"That's right. I escaped the Lava pool, therefore the Mystic Dragon wasn't summoned. That means this game is over!" Kaiba said with his usual arrogance.

But the Big 5 thought otherwise as the room changed into something like the inside of a computer. "It'll be game over, alright. But for you, not for us." The Big 5 member said before something was forming.

"What is this?" Tea asked, a bit worried.

"They've rewritten the program. They're summoning the Mythic Dragon themselves!" Kaiba answered as the Mythic Dragon took form, having 5 heads that represented 5 of the elements... and the Big 5 the Dragon even had an attack power of 5000 and a defensive power of 4000!

"Oh man." Joey said with a bit of fear.

"All right, everyone, stay close." Yami told his friends and the Kaiba brothers. "We'll win together or together, we'll fall."

"Man, have I had it with this virtual reality stuff. Rescuing Kaiba was 1 thing, but now we gotta take out this Mythic Dragon, too? I'm really starting to miss my body." Joey said with a bit of fear.

"Suck it up." Kaiba told Joey, not surprised by his lack of bravery. "There's only one way to get out of this game."

"I agree. We need to take this dragon down." Yami said, agreeing with his rival.

"Let's go!" They all said together.

"Me first. And I call the Harpy Lady Sisters." Mai said before summoning her monsters. But as they appeared, they were suddenly electrocuted! "What's happening?" Mai asked with confusion.

"Just another bit of reprogramming that we did." A Big 5 member answered before an image of a dragon appeared below Yami and his friends.

"We call it the Dragon Seal. And it makes this lair a sacred place where only dragon class monsters are allowed to attack. Every other monster card is useless." Another member added, having altered the lair so only Dragon monsters could attack.

But hearing that made Kaiba laugh, as he was the most experienced dragon expert in Duel Monsters, having 3 Blue-Eyes White Dragons in his deck. "Hahahaha. Hahahahahaha! You dare challenge me to a battle of dragons? You 5 should all know better than that." He said with a grin before drawing his ultimate creature. "I summon the Blue-Eyes White Dragon!" Before the dragon appeared with a mighty roar!

"Only Dragons, huh? Fine. Go, Red-Eyes!" Joey said before he most powerful monster appeared.

Mai then summoned her dragon monster. "Harpy's Let Dragon!"

"And I summon Curse of Dragon!" Yami before his dragon appeared.

Tea then slowly drew a card from her deck and looked at it before looking at the others. She knew that it was very risky to play this card, especially around Kaiba. But if she was going to help her friends and only Dragon monster could attack here, she had no other choice.

The brunette duelist then gathered her courage and yelled out. "And I summon...the Light and Darkness dragon!" Before Tea's new dragon monster slowly appeared in a flash of light! When the light died down, everyone saw the dragon and was very surprised by its appearance. The left side of the dragon was pure black and looked like a normal dragon and the right side of the dragon was pure white, looking like an angelic dragon, making the beast look like the dragon version of the Yin and Yang necklace. But what the most distinguishing feature about it was that it had 2 tails, 1 white and 1 black. The Light and Darkness dragon let out a mighty roar that could rival the Blue-Eyes and Red-Eyes dragons, greatly surprising everyone.

While Yami smiled at this, as he knew about Tea's new dragon, everyone else was very surprised at seeing this dragon, especially its attack and defensive power. It had an attack power of 2900 and a defensive power of 2400, both powers nearly equal to the Blue-Eyes White Dragon!

But it was Kaiba who was the most surprised, as he was secretly disgusted that a complete amateur like Gardner had such a powerful Dragon card in her seemingly pathetic and weak excuse of a deck. "How the hell did a worthless amateur like Gardner get her hands on the Light and Darkness dragon?! It's unthinkable that she could have a dragon so powerful that it nearly rivals my Blue-Eyes!"

"Whoa! That is one cool looking dragon! And it's the 2nd strongest dragon here right now! So that's the dragon card Mr. Muto gave her after she beat him 3 times in a row." Joey thought with amazement that Tea had a cool looking and a Dragon with the 2nd greatest attack power here in her new deck.

"Wow. That dragon looks...so, so cool!" Mokuba thought, liking how cool the Light and Darkness dragon was. "And I'm about to see what kind of attacks it can do too!"

While everyone was surprised at the Light and Darkness dragon, they knew that now wasn't the time to be in amazement, as they still had to deal with the Mystic Dragon 1st.

Yami looked at the Mythic Dragon and said. "Your Mythic Dragon will not stand against all we have set against it."

"ATTACK!" They all said together before their dragons fired their ultimate blasts, with the Light and Darkness dragon firing black and white lightning type of fire, which merged the other blast together into 1 big blast. The Mythic Dragon fired elemental blasts from its 5 heads to counterattack and when the blasts collided, they exploded but neither dragon was harmed.

"None of our attacks even got through." Joey said.

"Indeed. Those blasts must have cancelled each other out when they all collided." Yami concluded.

"So they did." A Big 5 member acknowledged before the Mythic Dragon set its sights on Mokuba. "But 1 of your team has no dragon with which to attack or defend. Isn't that right, Mokuba?"

"What? No, you wouldn't." Kaiba said with disbelief that they'd be so dishonorable to attack a completely defenseless opponent, something he himself would never do.

A head from the Mythic Dragon then fired at Mokuba, making him afraid before Joey spoke. "Block it, Red-Eyes!" He told his monster, who did just that, taking the full blast for Mokuba.

"Joey had his Red-Eyes take the hit, but that means-" Mai said before the Red-Eyes Black Dragon was completely destroyed, dropping Joey's life points down to 0!

Joey fell to a knee before his friends ran up to him. "Joey!" Tea said with concern for her friend.

Joey then looked at Yami. "Yugi, this is it. I'm done for."

"Don't say that." Yami said to his friend.

"Stay with us, please." Mai said before Joey gave a thumbs up as he was digitized completely! "Joey! He's left us."

Tea had tears in her eyes before she looked at the Big 5/Mythic Dragon. "You heartless bastards! What kind of suck, twisted game have you turned this into?"

"Game? Hahahaha. This ceased to be a game long ago." The Mythic Dragon answered with delight.

Kaiba knew that they would need to try something different if they were to get out of this. "We need a new tactic."

"I agree." Yami said as he stood up. "With our dragons alone, we won't win this. But I think I know how we can."

"What do you mean?"

"As strong as that Mythic Dragon may be, there is 1 monster that can beat it." Yami answered before summoning the creature that could destroy the 5 headed dragon. "Black Luster Soldier, I summon you...by sacrificing the power of my Dark Knight and my Curse of Dragon!" He yelled out before the ritual was complete and the Black Luster Soldier appeared but quickly got electrocuted, as he was not a dragon monster.

"Weren't you listening to what we just said?" The Big 5/Mythic Dragon asked with amusement. "Your Black Luster Soldier is not a dragon, therefore he can't attack. But on the other hand, we can still attack him."

Mai knew that she could not let Yugi get destroyed, as he was the only one who could defeat the Mythic Dragon now. "No you won't! My pet Dragon will stop you!" She said as her dragon stood in front of the Black Luster Soldier to defend him.

"Then you'll pay the price." The Mythic Dragon/Big 5 said before 2 heads fired on Mai's pet Dragon...but were surprised at seeing the Light and Darkness dragon embrace the Harpy's pet Dragon before they both got blasted by the Mythic Dragon, destroying them both.

"Mai! Tea! No! Alone or together, their dragons couldn't stand against the Mythic Dragon." Yami said before he saw Tea and Mai fall to their knees.

As Tea looked at Mai, she got close to her and they embraced lovingly in each other's arms as tears fell from their eyes. "Mai... I'm sorry. I had to try to protect you."

"It's... okay, Tea. At least...I got to see your new dragon monster and know that it cares about my dragon as much as I care about you." Mai said with a sad smile, as she at least knew that Tea's new dragon cared about her dragon as she did her.

Tea gave a sad smile before they looked at Yami. "Yugi, looks like we're not going to be around to see how this ends. It's up to you now."

"But...at least Tea and I will still be together." Mai said before she closely hugged Tea to her before they both digitized at the same time.

"Tea. Mai." Yami said sadly. He then stood up while closing his eyes. "My friends, with all my might I will avenge both of you and Joey. He vowed before turning to Kaiba. "Now, Kaiba, this may be our only chance. We have to work as a team."

"No way! You don't even know what you're doing!" Kaiba said, his pride getting the better of him.

"Grr. You just have to trust me, Kaiba!" Yami said with frustration.

"I don't have to do anything, Yugi." Kaiba said stubbornly. "I can win this battle in my own way."

"You'll win nothing!" The Mythic Dragon/Big 5 said. "3 of your group are already gone. And now we'll make it 4!" Before firing a blast.

"Kaiba, call out your Ultimate Dragon!" Yami told his rival.

"Silence!" Kaiba replied.

But Mokuba knew that his big brother's dragon wasn't the target. "Seto, it's not your dragon he's attacking, it's you!" He said as he took the hit for his big brother.

"No! Mokuba!" Kaiba cried out as he tried to take his little brother in his arms.

"Seto." Mokuba said before he was digitized.

"No! No! Mokuba. MOKUBA!" Kaiba cried out before falling to his knees.

"Kaiba, your brother's sacrifice doesn't have to be for nothing." Yami told his rival, knowing that they still could win. "We can still win this, but we have to work together. I have a plan to defeat this beast. You have to trust me, for it's the only way we can avenge our fallen friends. Now have faith and bring out your Ultimate beast!"

It was at this point that Kaiba swallowed his pride. "All right, then. Come out, Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon!" He called out as he drew his 2nd and 3rd Blue-Eyes White Dragons. "I hope you know what you're doing, Yugi!" Kaiba said before the 3 Blue-Eyes combined together to become the Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, Kaiba's strongest monster, which had an attack power of 4500 and a defensive power of 3800!

"Fools! Names mean nothing. Though that dragon is powerful, ours is the ultimate one." The Mythic Dragon/Big 5 said, acknowledging the Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon's power but knowing that even he wasn't powerful enough to destroy their Mythic Dragon.

But Yami thought differently. "For now, maybe. But once he has combined himself with another, your Dragon's reign will be through. According to legend, when heroes are united, they will create a power strong enough to destroy the Mythic Dragon. We will fulfill that prophecy now!" He said before drawing the Polymerization card. "Go, Polymerization! Go, Soldier!"

"Go, Blue-Eyes!" Kaiba added, calling out to his ultimate creature.

"Combine!" They said together as their ultimate monsters began to fuse together in a vortex-like merge.

"Mythic Dragon, obliterate them!" A Big 5 member said before the Mythic Dragon fired from all its heads. But when the blasts hit the fusing monsters, nothing happened. "What?! Nothing happened!"

"Oh something has happened." Yami said as the fusion was complete, creating the fused monster: the Dragon Master Knight, which had the exact same attack and defensive powers as the Mythic Dragon. "Behold the supreme... Dragon Master Knight! See his awesome powers."

The Dragon Master Knight then created a flash of light, which confused the Big 5/Mythic Dragon. "What's going on?" Before they saw the spirits of the Red-Eyes Black Dragon, Harpy's pet Dragon and the Light and Darkness dragon. "Those dragons were sent to the Graveyard. How could they be back?"

"Look! Something's even happening to our Mythic Dragon." Another Big 5 member said as he noticed something happening to their Mythic Dragon as purple energy surrounded it before going into the Dragon Master Knight, along with the same thing happening to the Dragon spirits!

"The Dragon Master Knight absorbs the attack power of every dragon ever played on the field, including ones that were already destroyed." Yami explained as the Dragon Master Knight's attack power was increased to 10000! "Now, in the memory of Joey, Tea, Mai and Mokuba, we will destroy your beast!"

"Attack, Dragon Master Knight!" Kaiba started.

"Dragon Sabre Blast!" Yami finished before the Dragon Master Knight fired its ultimate blast, which combined together and hit the Mythic Dragon, destroying the evil creature! But after the Mythic Dragon was destroyed, the room disappeared and the 2 rival duelists yelled out as they fell into darkness!

A bit later

Yami woke up to hear cheering before realizing that he and Kaiba were back at princess Adena' palace before he and his rival got to their feet and heard a familiar voice behind them. "Our heroes. What you've done will keep my people and our lands safe forevermore."

"We're not the ones you should be cheering." Yami said with sadness, knowing that their friends were the real heroes, not him or Kaiba.

"There shouldn't even be any cheering." Kaiba said as he clenched his fists in anger at losing Mokuba. "I lost my little brother in there."

"Fear not." Princess Adena said with a smile. "The losses you've suffered are too great for anyone to bear, no matter how strong they are." Before she suddenly flew into the air and transformed into her true form: the Mystical Elf.

"Remarkable." Yami said with a smile as he saw the magical elf cast a familiar spell. "The princess is actually the Mystical Elf. And she's casting a spell to bring back our friends."

A second later, a white bean hit the ground and Joey, Tea and Mai, who were still in a loving embrace, Mokuba and even Earu reappeared again, completely restored.

"They're back." Yami said with a smile.

"Mokuba." Kaiba said with happiness that his little brother was restored.

As everyone who was digitized woke up, Joey was the first to speak. "Oh man, what just happened to us?"

That was when Mokuba saw his big brother, happy to see him. "Big brother." He said before he ran and embraced him as Mai, her girlfriend and lover and Joey walked up to Yami with smiles.

That was when a black vortex portal opened. "Let's go, Mokuba." Kaiba said as he knew that that was the exit portal.

"Hey, hold on a second, Kaiba. Don't you think that you outta say thank you or something?" Joey asked.

"I never asked for your help and as far as I'm concerned, I never needed it." Kaiba said coldy before looking at Tea. "And you, Gardner, where did you get that Light and Darkness dragon card?!"

"For your information, Kaiba, I earned it from Yugi's grandpa. And I hoped that I wouldn't have to play it, especially not in front of you because I knew you'd probably try to take it from me and rip it up like you did the 4th Blue-Eyes White Dragon card!" Tea explained with a glare.

"Grrr. A weak, softhearted fool like you doesn't deserve to have such a powerful card like that, especially not a dragon card nearly equal to my Blue-Eyes!
