NOTE: I had an entirely different thing planned for this log but scrapped it for this. Felt this one was just better overall.

Log 8: Royal Party

Cover Image: Yukiko sat on a red and gold throne, dressed in a pink dress that showed her shoulders, in her hands was her pink fan. On both sides of her was Ben and Gwen, both having their own thrones. A malicious grin was found on her face, the heiress' eyes were glowing yellow.

Ben was dressed in a prince-like attire that was designed with green and black colors. An arrogant smirk was plastered on his face, with his legs crossed in his seat. Instead of their usual green, his eyes were yellow just like Yukiko's,

Gwen's princess-like dress was the same as Yukiko's except it was dark blue instead of pink. Her feet were covered by short blue heels. The princess was glaring coldly at the subjects below them as her eyes burned with a yellow color.

"I must say, Princess Gwendolyn, this tea is simply delicious!"

"Oh, thank you. Princess Yukiko. My loyal butler had worked his hardest on this meal."

Outside of the RV in an empty camping spot were Yukiko and Gwen. The two cousins were sitting at one of the tables, a pink dining cloth was draped over it. The table was decorated in pink and blue cutlery. The plates held little toasted crumpets and triangulars-sliced sandwiches.

Yukiko was dressed in a formal pink gown that stopped at her ankles with her shoes matching in pink color. Her arms were covered with pink sleeves that were separated from the dress; they covered her hands. Her hair flowed beautifully as a crown rested on her head.

Gwen was dressed in a sea blue princess gown with white fluffs at the bottom edges of the dress. Her shoes were a lighter blue with white straps on the side. On her head was a golden crown just like Yukiko's.

The heiress sipped on her tea before addressing her cousin. "Have you seen the prince? He was supposed to be here an hour ago," Yukiko asked.

Gwen gracefully placed her teacup onto the coaster. "Last I heard he would be arriving by carriage. Perhaps he got lost?" Both princesses turned to the RV, expecting something. However, nothing seemed to have happened besides the light breeze of the wind. Gwen coughed into her hand, loudly. "I SAID…perhaps he got lost?"

A shuffling could be heard from inside of the Rustbucket. It sounded like a struggle was going on inside of the motor home. Then it stopped before the door to the RV opened up. Max walked out, dressed in a black suit designed for a butler. He bowed his head to the two princesses before turning his body. "I apologize for the wait, your majesties. Presenting the Prince of the Tennyson Kingdom: Benjamin Tennyson!"

Ben slowly stepped out of the Rustbucket with a not so pleased look on his face. He was dressed in a green and brown prince-esque tuxedo with a green, brown, and white cape draped around his shoulders. His hair was combed back as well to make him look regal. Brown boots covered his feet as he stepped onto the grass.

Yukiko clapped her hands, pleased by Ben's outfit. "Oh, Prince Benjamin, you look so handsome!"

"I look like a doofus," Ben muttered as he approached the table. He was about to take his seat until Gwen's arm blocked him from doing so. "Uh…what?"

"Don't you have something to say, Prince Benjamin?" Gwen gave him a look.

Ben looked confused by what Gwen meant. He turned around to look at Max for a clue. He noticed that his Grandfather was doing mock bows as a hint. "Oh."

Ben backed away from the table and bowed to both of his royal cousins. After doing so he tried to take another seat, but Yukiko's arm blocked him this time. "What?"

"Anything you want to say about our appearances, Prince Benjamin?" Yukiko hinted.

"You look like a couple of nerds?"

Yukiko gave him a harsh pull on his ear, dragging him over to her. He cried out in pain as Yukiko brought his ear over to her mouth. "Don't ruin this for Gwen…!" She hissed quietly. When he nodded his head frantically, she continued. "Now complement our dresses then sit down between us both…!" She released him, allowing him to rub his ear.

Ben sighed in annoyance before clearing his throat. "Princess Gwen-"

"Gwendolyn," Yukiko corrected him.

"Princess Gwendolyn and Princess Yukiko…you're…uh both looking beautiful today!" Ben forced a smile.

"Why thank you, Prince Benjamin. Your kind words are appreciated," Gwen appreciated the effort.

Seeing that he did the correct thing, Ben sat down at the table. He gazed at the plate of sandwiches that were sitting in the middle of the table. Licking his lips, he made a reach for it. Only for his hand to be swatted by a pink fan.

"Ow! What was that for!?" Ben glared at Yukiko.

Yukiko opened her fan to fan herself. "It is impolite to eat before us, Prince Benjamin. You also haven't taken your tea yet," Yukiko reminded him.

He grumbled a bit, rubbing the spot that she had hit him on.

"Oh, Butler Maxwell!" Gwen called over.

"Yes, Princess Gwendolyn?" Max responded with a respectful bow.

"Please fetch us some tea for Prince Benjamin," Gwendolyn ordered.

"Right away, Ma'am," The butler left to get the tea. Gwen turned to her cousin who was trying to loosen his collar. "Prince Benjamin?"

"Hm? Yeah?" Ben looked at her.

"It's been a while since we've seen each other-"

"We saw each other this morning."

SMACK!

"Gah! I-I meant, y-yes it has, Princess Gwendoyln!" Ben rubbed the back of his head after being smacked.

"How has your kingdom been? It must be difficult to run it with how…well…inept you are," Gwendolyn said with a straight face.

Ben's eyebrow twitched. "Inept?"

"Why yes! You're hopelessly lost when it comes to anything outside of those 'picture books' you read," Gwen added.

Ben's mood dipped considerably after she said that. "Oh, Princess, I wouldn't get too ahead of ourselves here. Wouldn't want anything to happen to that teddy bear of yours," Ben smirked evilly.

Gwen's regal demeanor dipped for a second. "E-excuse me?"

"Yes, it would be quite the travesty if my dog Wildmutt were to get his teeth on it," Ben stretched his arm, purposely bringing the Omnitrix into view.

Gwen was sweating a bit, wanting to regain the ground she lost. "T-That sounds like a terrible idea, Prince Benjamin. If you were to do something like that, you would have to be punished severely."

"Behave, you two," Yukiko intervened. The heiress could sense that Gwen was going to break character if they continued. "This is our annual tea party. We should be able to sit and enjoy ourselves like royalty should."

"Exactly, Princess Yukiko," Max arrived with the kettle of tea in his hands. He placed the kettle onto a coaster. "Princess Gwendolyn and Prince Benjamin should know better than to cause a ruckus on such a peaceful evening. It would be unbecoming."

Gwen quickly corrected herself, clearing her throat. "R-right! Thank you, Butler Maxwell and Princess Yukiko, for reminding me." Ben rolled his eyes.

"Would you like some tea, Prince Benjamin?" Max asked.

"You got any soda?"

He held back a yelp of pain as Yukiko's heel dug into his foot. "I-I mean…y-yes, I would like that…" Max poured the tea into his cup. Yukiko removed her heel from his foot, satisfied.

Ben took a sip of his tea, before pulling it back in disgust. "Ugh! Too sweet!"

"I think it tastes good this sweet," Yukiko said.

"Can I eat now?" He asked, growing impatient.

Gwen rolled her eyes at his inability to wait. "Yes, Prince Benjamin. You can take one sandwich."

"Sweet-" He saw Yukiko's warning glare. "I-I mean, thank you." Ben took a sandwich from the table and bit into it. His entire body froze on the spot as the taste of the sandwich began to set within his mouth. Ben pulled it out of his mouth and stared at it. Before spitting it out onto the ground, shocking the others.

"Prince Benjamin! What is the matter with you!?" Yukiko gasped.

He glared at her, holding up the sandwich. "What's the matter with me!? What the heck is wrong with this sandwich!"

Gwen rolled her eyes again. "Oh, it can't be that bad," She took one and bit it. Gwen's face turned sick green as she chewed the food. She also suddenly felt the need to spit it out, so she grabbed a napkin and spat into it. "W-What happened!? Grandpa, I thought I told you not to put any weird things into this!"

Max held up his hands. "I didn't! I followed your instructions to the letter."

"Then who could've…" All at once Gwen, Ben, and Max all turned to Yukiko, who was smiling.

"Oh, I didn't like the way Grandpa had made them. So, I decided to make some changes to the sandwiches to make them taste better!" Yukiko explained.

Gwen couldn't believe that Yukiko had managed to get by her. The girl had done her best to make sure Yukiko didn't make any of the meals for their little tea party.

Max took a sandwich and bit into it. "Hm, I don't see the issue," He happily bit into another.

"Thank you, Grandpa! I'm happy that you enjoyed it!" Yukiko beamed.

"Welp, this party is ruined," Ben tossed the sandwich onto the table. "Time to fix that!" He activated the Omnitrix, drawing concerned looks from his family.

"Ben, wait-"

FLASH!

Wildmutt turned around and started digging a hole into the ground, normally this wouldn't have been bad. But he purposely angled it so that the dirt would fly directly into Yukiko and Gwen.

"BEN!" Both shouted, trying to block the dirt that was hitting them.

Wildmutt laughed, enjoying the 'sight' of his cousins covered in dirt.

Gwen angrily took off her shoe and lifted it dangerously. "You're a dead mutt!"

Yukiko whipped out her fan. "These dresses were brand new, Ben!"

Max continued to eat the Mystery Food X sandwiches as his granddaughters chased Ben around the empty field. As long as they didn't cause too much damage to the area or kill Ben, then there was no reason for him to intervene.

Log End

NOTE: Imagine if Yukiko knew Ben and Gwen before the events of Persona 4. If there was a Shadow Ben and Gwen with Shadow Yukiko inside of the castle. Kind of a cool thought.

Have a great day!
