NOTE: Another Log, another Tennyson family fluff!
Got an idea for this log based off all the hot heat my city has been having lately.

Log 12: Water Stories
Cover Image: Yukiko, dressed in a frilly white bikini, held a couple of water balloons in her arms. Gwen, dressed in a purple one-piece swimsuit, fell backwards from getting hit by a water balloon.
Ben, wearing a pair of green swim trunks, had tossed the balloon at Gwen. He was grinning from ear to ear at the successful shot.
Max was in the back, filling up more water balloons for his grandkids to use.
"Alright, this spot should do," Max said, wearing his Hawaiian shirt and blue swim trunks. He placed down the inflatable pool and air pump onto the grassy ground. Wiping the sweat off of his brow from the summer heat, Max turned around. "Are you doing alright there, Ben?"
Four Arms walked into the clearing, holding multiple lawn chairs, a big beach umbrella, a blue cooler, and a bag of charcoal. The Tetramand stuck the umbrella into the ground before dropping the lawn chairs and the cooler. "Yup, but why did we have to carry everything?"
Max unfolded a chair. "The girls are still getting ready, Ben. They'll also be bringing over the grill and food. And besides, you get to help me set up our makeshift beach," Max motioned to the pool. "Oh, can you open up the umbrella too?"
Four Arms started untying the umbrella. "I'm pretty sure you can do that on your own, Grandpa." Four Arms stepped back so that Max could place two chairs underneath the umbrella.
"You have the extra set of arms, Ben. Blow up the pool and please be careful," Max pleaded as he opened up the cooler. Pulling out a large back of ice and tearing it open. Underneath the ice were multiple cans of soda and water bottles.
Four Arms looked offended. "C'mon, Grandpa, when am I never careful?"
Max gave him a look.
"...Okay, you don't have to answer that," Four Arms pouted. The Tetramand sat down next to the inflatable pool, grabbing the air pump with one of his arms, Four Arms plugged it in, and got to pumping. Sweat rolled down his forehead as he tried not to push too hard.
Dressed in her frilly white bikini with a blue jacket over it and a blue sunhat, Yukiko double checked her beach bag. "Sunscreen, check. Bug repellent, check. Book, check. Sunglasses, check. Inflatable pool ball, check. Towels, check." Yukiko turned to the grill that was sitting next to her. "And grill, check!" Happy to see that her list was complete, Yukiko turned back to the open door. "Gwen! Do you need any help?"
The younger girl stepped out of the doorway, bags of packaged hotdogs, burgers, chicken, corn, and steak. She was dressed in a purple jacket with her purple one-piece swimsuit underneath. "Y-yeah, I-I got it…!" Gwen huffed.
Yukiko frowned. "I can help you carry some of those."
Gwen shook her head. "N-no! It's fine, that grill is heavy enough on its own…ugh, we should've made Ben take it," Gwen huffed. She closed the RV's door with her foot.
"Nonsense," Yukiko took two of the bags out of Gwen's hands. "I didn't spend all of that time training with Chie-chan for nothing!" Yukiko flexed her thin arms. Barely any muscle could be seen on Yukiko's arm, but that didn't stop the heiress from looking proud.
"Pfft!" Gwen laughed at Yukiko's "tough" expression and lack of muscle. "Yeah, I'm sure it was time well spent," She teased.
The heiress pouted a bit before joining Gwen's soft laughter. "Chie-chan said the same thing when I did that before. Can't say that I'm upset about it, I don't think toned muscles would look good on me anyway."
"Yeah, I think it would ruin the angelic vibe you give out," Gwen agreed.
"But…I'm not an angel?"
"And you ruined the moment."
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
FLASH!
"Phew! There!" Ben exclaimed, wearing his blue and green swim trunks. He placed his hands on his hips as he stared down at his work. Since he had to try and limit his strength, Ben took up the rest of his time as Four Arms to inflate the pool. The fake pool was large enough to support more than two people, which was all they needed. "I did it, Grandpa!"
Max walked over to Ben, handing the boy a water bottle. "Good, now we can get to filling it up!"
"With what?"
"That," Max pointed to a portable water tank that had been sitting under a tree's shade. "Brought that over here an hour before we got everything ready. Had to make sure it stayed cool in this heat."
"Huh, didn't know we had that," Ben and Max walked over to it. The grandfather picked it up and brought it closer to the pool. Attaching a hose into the tank, Max began filling up the pool with a cool breath of water.
"Haven't had much need for it until now. Feels good to put it to use," Max smirked.
"Grandpa! We're here!"
The males looked over to see the girls entering the clearing with the supplies.
"A little help here!?" Gwen requested.
"What? Can't handle it all by yourself, dweeb?" Ben teased.
"Haha! Says the boy with the transforming watch! Just help, doofus!" Gwen barked.
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever," Ben walked over and took the bags out of Gwen's hands. Max had taken the grill from Yukiko, placing it a few inches away from the lawn chairs.
Yukiko and Ben placed the bags of food down by the cooler, while Max dumped some of the charcoal into the grill. Gwen took a spot underneath the umbrella. "Ah, this heat is unbearable!" She complained.
"Here, ya go, Gwen!" Yukiko happily handed the girl a bottle of water. The heiress took the other chair underneath the umbrella, putting her personal bag next to the chair.
"Thanks," She took it gratefully. "Is the pool ready, Grandpa?"
"Should be, you kids go take a dip into it," Max answered.
"Alright! Cannonball-UGH!" Ben was interrupted by Yukiko pulling him back by his arm. The 10-year-old boy fussed as Yukiko dragged him back to the umbrella. "Yukiko! What's the big deal!?" He whined.
Yukiko reached into her bag and pulled out the sunscreen and bug repellent lotion. The heiress started applying the sunscreen onto Ben's face. "You don't have the proper protection, Ben! I have to make sure you don't suffer any sunburns from out here!"
Ben tried to pull away, but her grip was too strong. "We're not even at a real beach, Yukiko! Stop it!"
The heiress forced him to hold still by increasing her grip. "The temperature is still high with the sun beating down on us, Benjamin! Now let me finish applying all of this! The faster you cooperate the faster you can get into the pool!"
"...Fine," Ben grumbled. He relaxed, allowing Yukiko to finish applying both layers of protection onto his skin.
"There! All done!" Yukiko clapped her hands. "Now those germ-infested bugs can't harm you!"
"Why do I feel like you had alternative motives…" Gwen sweat dropped. The girl had applied her own layers of protection.
"Can I go now?" Ben asked.
"Yes."
"Sweet!" Ben sprinted to the pool. "Cannonball!" He splashed into the pool, splashing water all over Gwen who was right behind him.
"Doofus! Don't drain all the water out of the pool!" Gwen yelled as she carefully stepped into the water, sitting across from Ben.
After applying her own set of sunscreen and bug repellent, Yukiko reached into her bag and pulled out the inflatable ball. Walking over to the air pump, Yukiko blew it up to full. "Okay, you guys want to play a game?" Yukiko asked as she sat down in between her cousins.
"Play what game?" Gwen asked.
Yukiko lifted up the ball. "We each toss the ball around in the pool. The first one to drop it has to tell a story about themselves. It can be embarrassing, funny, or horror!"
"Fine, I'll play," Ben agreed.
"Sure, as long as Ben doesn't cheat," Gwen agreed.
"I don't cheat."
"Liar!"
"Okay here goes!" Yukiko quickly smacked the ball to avoid an argument between the two, the ball smacked the unprepared Gwen in the face. Knocking her over into the water, the ball floating harmlessly in the liquid.
"HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Ben laughed.
"Oh no, Gwen! I didn't mean to hit it that hard!" Yukiko apologized.
"I-It's fine…" Gwen grumbled, grabbing the ball. A red mark could be seen on her cheek where the ball had hit her. The younger girl took a minute to think of a story. "Oh, you wouldn't know this, Yukiko. For my brother's 16th birthday dad decided to buy him a car. A car that my embarrassing brother decided to name The Awesome mobile."
Yukiko tilted her head. "The Awesome mobile? Who names a car that?"
"Only the coolest guy ever!" Ben exclaimed.
"You only say that because he let you ride in the front seat. Which he wasn't supposed to do!" Gwen pointed out.
"You're just upset because he made you sit in the baby seat."
"It wasn't a baby seat! It was a tactical protection from his crazy driving!"
"Sure, sure. Whatever you say," Ben smirked.
Growing agitated by Ben's teasing, Gwen roughly shot the ball into Ben's face, knocking his head back.
"Gwen!" Yukiko gasped.
"The doofus is fine, he's been hit worse," Gwen waved the concern off.
Ben glared at Gwen and grabbed the ball. "Guess it's my turn."
"So, what do you have to share, Ben?" Yukiko asked.
Ben stared at the ball for a moment before answering. "I destroyed Mr. Baumann's car before this trip started," He shrugged.
"Again?" Gwen sighed.
Yukiko was completely lost. "Y-you destroyed someone's car? And you've done it more than once?" She wasn't sure if she should be concerned or surprised.
"Ben has a track record of consistently damaging his neighbor Mr. Baumann's car," Gwen answered.
"It was an accident each time! His car was always in the wrong place at the wrong time!" Ben defended himself.
"Ben, what did you do?" Yukiko asked.
He didn't look her in the eyes. "I may have kicked my skateboard into his car's windshield, while he was trying to clean it. Not like I meant to do it, his car shouldn't have been parked there!"
Max walked over to his grandkids, wiping some sweat off his forehead. "Ben, the car was in his driveway…"
"Not my fault."
Yukiko was rubbing her temples. "Even before you got the Omnitrix you were causing chaos wherever you went."
"Yup, it's a talent," He said proudly. He tossed the ball to Yukiko. "Your turn."
Yukiko caught the ball in her hands. "Well, there was this time where Chie-chan, Rise-chan, Yu-kun, and I decided to have a cooking contest for Nanako-chan."
"I wonder who lost…" Ben muttered.
"So, we all went over to Yu-kun's house for the get-together, each one of us cooking omelet per Nanako-chan's request," Yukiko explained.
"Who won?" Max asked.
The heiress didn't answer immediately, she stared at them all as the memory replayed in her head. She was suddenly asking herself as to why she decided to tell this story. "Yu-kun won the contest technically. Though, Nanako-chan said she liked all of our food!" Yukiko quickly added.
"She must've been lying," Gwen and Ben thought.
"Did yours taste good though?" Max asked.
Yukiko's face turned slightly red. "Kanji-kun said that my omelet was…boneless…"
"Boneless!?" The Tennysons questioned, confused.
"...It didn't have any taste."
"Like, no flavor?" Gwen assumed.
"...No. It didn't taste like anything at all."
"You mean that you managed to cook an omelet that had absolutely no taste at all. Like, you had a bunch of ingredients at your disposal and you managed to cook something with zero taste," Ben clarified. A massive smile was growing as he talked.
"Yes," She glared at him.
"That should be impossible. Not even my brother can cook something that has no taste!" Gwen exclaimed, shocked.
"I GET IT!" Yukiko's entire face was deep red with embarrassment. She really regretted telling that story.
Max softly chuckled. "It's okay, sweetheart. We all have our moments, all that matters is that you don't let that mistake keep you down. Keep on trying and I'm sure you'll succeed at some point."
His words made the heiress feel better. "Thanks, Grandpa! I used that day as a learning experience to improve my cooking skills! Yu-kun even agreed to be my official taste tester after that night!"
"Did he have a choice?" The kids mentally questioned.
Max sniffed the air, turning his head to the grill. "The food should be almost ready, so you kids hurry up and dry off," Max left to tend to the grill.
"Alright! This talk about food has made me hungry!" Ben jumped out of the pool.
"Don't go eating everything, doofus!" Gwen chased after him.
Yukiko wasn't far behind. "You two need to dry off first! Ben, don't attempt to grab anything off an open grill with wet hands!"
Log End
NOTE: I do want to say that the next Log will include Yu. So, look forward to that.
Also, another Kenny mention with his car this time. I still believe that Kenny being so easily forgotten is one of the biggest sins of Ben 10.
Then we had the mention of Ben wrecking Mr. Baumann's car. I always loved that ongoing gag.
Have a great day!
