AUTHOR'S NOTES

Ocean Amotion is another lost story I had found. This story is similar to my previous fanfiction Curse of the Forsaken in that this story was lost at one point, but found years later in the year 2022. Now, I have decided to present this story to you. In this story set in 17th century England, Bowser finds out about treasure and hires a Welsh pirate captain named Gawain to dig this treasure up. However, not only do they have to dig up treasure, but they have to steal treasure from rich English families.

This fanfiction has been altered a bit. The big difference is that the fanfiction is only going to have characters from the Super Mario and Fire Emblem games in it as well as OCs. The original story I had written back in 2018 had characters from other games, too. Plus, the OC Gawain spoke the Welsh language in the original story I had written. The altered version, the version you are reading right now, has him speaking English.

And, just like Curse of the Forsaken, this is a short story, meaning that there won't be a whole lot of chapters. This is because this story is also based off of a PowerPoint presentation I have done for school when I was in eighth grade.

A Mario x Fire Emblem Story

Chapter 1

Once long ago in 17th century England, swashbuckling pirates roamed the country looking for buried treasure and gold. Back in present-day Mushroom Kingdom standards, however, Bowser, the king of the Koopas, built a time machine that can take him and his soldiers to the past or the far future. So, he had the brilliant idea of going back to 17th century England to witness these pirates and swashbucklers look for treasure and lost lands. Of course, he did not want to leave his castle without Trooper, his assistant.

When they reached 17th century England after so many mistakes and mishaps with the time machine, Bowser was astounded by the history of England. So, he got straight to work on finding out what pirates do for a living. He started out by hiring some people wanting to be swashbucklers at sea. One man that did catch Bowser's interest, however, was a young man named Gawain. Gawain was a wealthy man who hailed from north Wales. Since Gawain did want to be a pirate for England, Bowser decided to hire him to be his henchman so that Bowser could one day become a swashbuckling pirate.

"Do you know anything about swashbuckling, Bowser?" Trooper asked his king.

"Uh… not really." Bowser said. "But, I am going to learn my ways of being a pirate for England! Arrrr!" he later said like a real pirate.

"You have your ways, Bowser." Gawain said to his new captain. "You are already acting like a pirate."

"Am I, Gawain?" Bowser asked Gawain. "Arrrrrrrrr!" he later said again. Trooper later laughed. Bowser then noticed that he needed a ship to sail like the other pirates have ships of their own. That was when the hunt for a ship began.

Meanwhile, back at the present-day Mushroom Kingdom, Princess Peach sent out spies to Bowser's castle after she heard about the precious time machine Bowser had built. When it was brought back to her imperial palace, she called the time machine valuable and precious. When Mario came back with Yoshi, he questioned Peach on if they were keeping the time machine after he had found out where she had got it from.

"Of course we are keeping it." Princess Peach said to Mario. "After all, you never find these things anymore."

"I'm going through it, Peach." Mario said to the princess. "Luigi! You want to come, too?" he asked his younger brother Luigi.

"Sure." Luigi responded.

"Great." Mario said. "You want to come too, Yoshi?" Mari asked Yoshi.

"I'll join in, Mario!" Yoshi responded. Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi later went inside the time machine. However, the time machine was already set to 17th century England. Bowser did not reset the machine properly, it looked like. But, Mario, his brother, and his friend Yoshi didn't really care about it. They just proceeded on to time traveling without warning.

Meanwhile, with the Greil Mercenaries, a mercenary group in Crimea, they were aware about what was going on in the Mushroom Kingdom via a letter sent by Princess Peach. As they were aware about the time machine, Greil had all of his mercenaries line up in a single-file line, and march to the kingdom. Mist, the daughter of the commander, was excited to see the time machine and travel back in time to learn more about history. However, Greil reminded them not to change the past as it can change the future. Everyone understood this strict order and proceeded on to marching to the Mushroom Kingdom.

Back with Bowser, he was busy practicing being a swashbuckling pirate. However, things didn't go so well, as he did not have a sword or fancy pirate clothing to wear. However, how could Bowser wear clothes? He was the King of the Koopa clan. Not a human. Then, he had finally found a ship to sail on the ocean. He called the ship Fire Flame. The ship got its name from Bowser's fierce fire and flames. Then, he had eventually found a sword to use for battling other pirates.

"Arrrr!" Bowser said. "Now I am a real swashbuckling pirate! It's all thanks to you, Captain Gawain!"

"You are most welcome, Bowser." Gawain said after Bowser thanked him. Then, the ship Fire Flame set sail for the Atlantic Ocean. Bowser almost forgot about the treasure he was finding.

Back at the present-day Mushroom Kingdom, Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi were gone. Greil and his mercenaries had arrived at the imperial palace, and greeted Princess Peach. "It's a delight to see you yet again, Commander Greil." Peach said.

"I am also delighted to see you again, Princess Peach." Greil said to Peach. "So… where is Mario and his brother?"

"Honestly, they went into the time machine to test it out." Peach responded to Greil.

"What time period did he go to?" the son of Greil Ike asked. "Did he go back to the time of dinosaurs?"

"I don't think so." Peach said.

"What about the time of knights and dragons?" Mist asked Peach. "I am fascinated by that kind of stuff."

"I don't think so either, Mist." Peach said while nodding. "Why don't you see for yourself."

"Alright." Greil said after sighing. He and his mercenaries then went in the time machine, and noticed that the machine was set to 17th century England, specifically in the year 1607. However, they suspected that this was the time period Mario was stuck in. Everyone was ready for an adventure to begin. However, little did everyone know that Bowser would be in this time period attempting to change the past so that the future can be affected.
