Chapter 3

Back with Bowser, he had already succeeded in bringing down most English families and making them poor people in England. Then, he was off to find buried treasure on scarce islands and have it for himself. "Yes!" Bowser exclaimed. "Now I am the richest pirate in all of the world!" Captain Gawain, the henchman of Bowser, laughed it off when he discovered all of the gold, jewels, and money that they both got from the rich-turned-poor English families.

"So, what do you propose we do now, Captain Bowser of the Fire Flame?" Captain Gawain asked Bowser.

"We are now traveling to far-off islands to dig up buried treasure." Bowser answered. "Then, we are shooting up the North Sea." Then, Bowser let out a cry. "Forward! For the honor of the outside world!" he later said.

Back with Mario, he was devastated to hear the sounds of cannons and guns from pirate ships in the distance. He thought it was Bowser. But it was his pirates he let out. Mario, Luigi, Santa Mary, Yoshi, and the Greil Mercenaries were destined to fight them. However, they had no pirate ship, nor were they swashbuckling pirates looking for gold. This gave Mario a great and wonderful idea. Mist, the daughter of the Greil Mercenaries' eponymous leader, asked Mario what his idea was.

"My idea?" Mario asked Mist. "Easy-peasy. I will find a ship occupied by the enemy, and we, the army of the Nintendo world, will occupy that ship for ourselves." Mario answered Mist and everyone else.

"Sounds like a plan, Mario." the tactician of the Greil Mercenaries Soren said. "But what should the ship's name be?"

"Well, we have to come up with a name of some kind, right?" Santa Mary asked everyone. "So… why not in Mario's honor, we call it Madarch." Everyone questioned themselves on the ship's name, even Mario.

"What does that word mean?" Mario asked Santa Mary.

"The word basically means 'mushroom' in the Welsh language." Santa Mary responded.

"So… we are basically naming our ship after a word in the language of Welsh?" Greil asked.

"Yup." Santa Mary answered Greil. "What do you think, Mario?" she later asked Mario.

"I think it's a creative name, Santa Mary." Mario said after thinking it over. "Once our ship has been occupied, and taken away from the enemy forces of the Koopa Clan's king, we shall give out an announcement and a great big yo ho ho." Mario said to everyone. Shinon, the maroon-haired sniper of the Greil Mercenaries with the ponytail, felt disgusted about the name of the ship.

"Whatever's the matter, Shinon?" Greil asked.

"I think the ship shall be honoring the Greil Mercenaries, not the meddling Mario Brothers." Shinon said.

"Wow, Shinon…" Mario said. "What disrespect you have."

"Hmph." Shinon said. He later turned around in disgust. Then, it was time for the crew to find a ship they could call their own.

When Mario found a ship with a Bowser Flag on it, he was astounded by the ship's size. Then, he was spotted by some Koopa Troopas and Hammer Brothers. "Intruders!" shouted a Koopa Troopa. Mario then jumped into action in order to seize the ship and make it his own.

"Mario, how long will it take for us to defeat these enemies?" Santa Mary asked Mario. "I have no experience with defeating these turtles whatsoever."

"Just let me deal with the Koopa Troopas, Santa Mary." Mario said. "I am the expert at jumping on their heads and using their shells as weapons."

"What?!" Santa Mary asked.

"You won't understand that." Greil said. "This is what's in Mario's nature."

"This is absurd of you people." Santa Mary said to Greil. "I mean, jumping on turtles? That sounds like animal abuse!"

"These are Koopa Troopas, Santa Mary. Not turtles." Mario said while hopping on a Koopa Troopa. "Well, I mean, they technically are turtles, but turtles in real world environments are not yellow!" The shell was later used as a weapon on the ship. Mario then announced that the ship was named Madarch, which meant "Mushroom" in the real-world English language. Then, the ship set sail after Mario and his friends obtained pirate materials, such as swords and hats. Mario knew his adventure on the sea was about to begin.

Meanwhile, with Bowser, he was mad that Mario obtained one of his troops' ships, and claimed it as his own. Then he knew exactly what to do with Captain Gawain. Together, the two of them were going to raid Mario's ship Madarch and make it look like an accurate pirate battle. Then, after he laughed, Gawain saw something.

"Arr harr, Bowser!" Gawain said. "I sense something washed up on the shores over there! Grab it, will ya?"

"Yes, at once Captain Gawain!" Bowser said. Bowser then grabbed the item, which was a washed up ship-in-a-bottle.

"A ship in a bottle, huh?" Bowser asked himself. "Hah!" I have always wanted to obtain these things. I shall keep it for myself."

"You're not gonna sell it, King Bowser?" Captain Gawain asked Bowser.

"Hah! No! Of course I am not selling it! And if I see more, I am going to have all of them for myself!" Bowser exclaimed. Then, Bowser sailed off back to England to steal more treasures. The problem with English families in the era of when pirates lived was worsening and worsening.
