Hello everyone! Been a while! Sorry for the wait, I've just been busy with stuff. Anyway, here's a chapter for you all, this time a festival chapter! The reason for this chapter is to celebrate the Sumidagawa fireworks festival: an annual fireworks festival held on the last Saturday in July, over the Sumidagawa near Asakusa; this festival lights more than 20,000 fireworks of all colors and shapes. Yeah, Japan REALLY likes fireworks. Neat fact, huh?

Also reminder: I DON'T own Danganronpa.

UPDATE NOTE 7/31/22: Minor details added, namely colors for yukatas for certain characters.

Today was a bit of a special day. For today was the day of the last summer festival! And because of that, classes 78 and 77-B got together and decided to hang out and have fun at the festival. All of the students were really excited about the festival, especially for some, such as our favorite couple, Makoto and Chiaki.

Makoto along with his class were hanging out at the entrance of the festival, waiting for the other class to meet them. They were all wearing yukatas of various colors, with Makoto's being green and red. They were all nice yukatas (Makoto liked Sayaka's, Mukuro's, and Kyoto's yukatas-all three being blue, gray, and purple, respectively, which all three girls blushed at his compliments and thanked him for said compliments). Eventually class 77-B arrived, each student wearing their own colorful yukata, all just as nice as class 78.

But there was one yukata that stood out more than others, in Makoto's eyes…

…And that was Chiaki's. Her yukata was gray and pink with flowers on it. She looked absolutely stunning, and she was carrying a small bag, most likely filled with money for the game booth stalls. Makoto's eyes were wide as saucers and his jaw looked like it was about to fall off, with some drool dripping down the left side of his jaw. It would be likely-no correction: most CERTAINLY that the image of her in the gray and pink yukata with flowers would forever be burned into his brain for all of eternity (along with the image of her wearing her bikini she wore when she and him went to the beach).

He was speechless on how beautiful his girlfriend was and remained that way until she approached him and then noticed his expression, making her a bit worried. "Hey, Makoto, are you okay?" He doesn't answer, still amazed by his girlfriend's stunning attire. She grabs his shoulder and shakes him a little. "Makoto…?"

Once he comes back to Earth, he shakes his head as he says, "Um yeah, yeah. I'm fine, it's just that…" He blushes and scratches his right cheek. "...you look so beautiful in that yukata, Chiaki."

She blushes at his compliment and smiles, which melts his heart. "Thanks." She looks at his yukata. "Yours is good as well." The way she didn't add "I think" or "Maybe" into her compliment made it better for him and made happier.

Chisa Yukizome, the Ultimate Housekeeper and homeroom teacher of Class 77-B, wearing a blue and white yukata, had an embarrassed smile as she apologized. "Sorry we were late. We would have been here earlier, but there were a couple of things that took some time…"

Mikan Tsumiki, the Ultimate Nurse, wearing a pink and white yukata with red lines, cried with tears in her eyes. "I'm SO soooorrry! I had never put on a yukata before, so I got tangled up in it four times!" Her explanation elicited a nosebleed from Teruteru Hanamura, the Ultimate Cook or Ultimate Chef, as he likes to be known as, wearing a red and white yukata, remembering the embarrassing scene of Mikan in embarrassing positions as she tried her best to put on her yukata. A scene that he was grateful for being a witness to.

"It's fine, Mikan!" Chisa reassured Mikan. "No need to worry." Mikan calmed down, though still had some tears in her eyes. "Now…" Chisa stood proudly in her yukata as she raised her right fist in the air and announced to both classes, "Let's enjoy and have fun at this last summer festival together!" Everyone joined her, also raising their fists in the air, excited to spend some time together.

Chiaki Nanami, the Ultimate Gamer, had many favorite gaming places, such as arcades, gaming centers, etc., and some were hard to come by, one of the hard to come by places is the gaming stalls at a summer festival. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that she was in heaven right now. Everyone in class 77-B had seen it coming, especially Hajime and Makoto, Makoto most of all, which was the problem where Chiaki gets too absorbed in these kinds of games, so much that she won't be much sociable. Because of that, Chiaki knew that and so had to hold back, so she could spend time with the classes and her boyfriend. Of course, it was very tempting to play the game stalls, like an itch she really wanted to scratch; she couldn't help but want to scratch the itch, to want to play the stalls. Though she was resisting, Chiaki felt her head was spinning and her body, really her hands, shaking, since resisting was harder than she thought.

She looked to Makoto with an expression that asked for his opinion, that if he was fine with her not spending that much time with her. Instead of expecting him with a disappointed expression, he kindly smiled and said, "It's fine, Chiaki. Go play at those stalls!" She smiled happily at his encouragement. 'As long as I get to spend any time with you, I'm fine with anything.' Makoto thinks.

Although before she ran over to the first booth she found, she was pulled on the back of her yukata by her teacher. "Hold up. Before we split up, we should decide who will be grouping up with who."

Both classes split into 4 groups. Group 1: Nanami, Naegi, Owari, Nidai, Asahina, Ogami, Kirigiri, and Maizono. Group 2: Hajime, Koizumi, Ikusaba, Enoshima, Owada, Ishimaru, Ludenberg, and Saionji. Group 3: Yukizome, Togami, Fukawa, Kuzuryu, Pekoyama, Hanamura, Tsumiki, Hagakure, and Komaeda. Group 4: Mioda, Soda, Mitari, the Ultimate Imposter, Nevermind, Fujisaki, Kuwata, and Yamada.

"Alright, that's settled!" Chisa announced. We'll all meet at the hill where we can see the firework display together, understand?"

"Yes!" Everyone said at once as they cheered.

Chisa smiled. "Good! Now let's have fun!"

And so, the four groups had fun. Each person enjoyed their time at the summer festival. For group 1, they were spectators to Chiaki, where not only did she play the stalls but also how she ran each of them out of business (which is to be expected since she is the Ultimate Gamer). All the gifts and prizes she won were carried by Asahina and Ogami so she could have better focus on the games.

"Wow…at this point Nanami will be banned from the stalls at the next festival…" Aoi Asahina, the Ultimate Swimming Pro, wearing a red and blue yukata, says while sweat dropping.

"Indeed." Sakura Ogami, the Ultimate Martial Artist, wearing a blue and white yukata with red lines, nodded.

Makoto chuckles. "Well she's not the Ultimate Gamer for nothing." Aoi and Sakura both nod in agreement at Makoto's statement.

"Oh Makoto!" Chiaki shouts. "This stall can be played with two people!" She points to the two-player stall that was actually new. "Play it with me!"

Makoto smiles. "Sure thing!" He goes to play with her.

While they were both playing and having fun, the others-besides Aoi and Sakura spectating-were having fun in their own ways: Akane Owari, Ultimate Gymnast, wearing a white yukata with red flowers, and Nekomaru Nidai, the Ultimate Team Manager, wearing a black and blue yukata, were feasting on a lot of yakitori (Akane especially), while Kyoko Kirigiri, the Ultimate Detective, and Sayaka Maizono, the Ultimate Pop Sensation, were drinking ramune.

/

As time went on, all four groups had a wonderful time together. They had various foods (Akane especially), such as yakitori, takoyaki, watame, etc., and drinks, such as ramune, calpis, mitsuya cider, etc. They played various games (Chiaki especially with Makoto), such as kingyo-sukui, super ball scooping, wanage, etc; some won prizes and others didn't do so well. But again overall, they all had a splendid time.

Soon they all gathered on top of a hill, giving an incredible view of the festival along with the city. The two classes weren't the only people at the top of the hill as there were other people around that had the same idea as them, wanting to have a good view for the fireworks. And just as they were hanging around, waiting and wondering when the fireworks would start…

Boom!

…they all heard a big boom up in the sky! Soon more fireworks joined the first one, each momentarily brightening the dark sky, as if painting a black canvas with bright colors! Some fireworks were one color, others were multiple colors; some were simple and others were unique, such as one that looked like Christmas lights!

The classes along with the other people watching were amazed by the show. Some sat down while others chose to stand. Some were alone while others were together in pairs, such as Aoi and Ogami, Kuzuryu and Pekoyama (both of their yukatas were black and white, black and gray, respectively), and our favorite couple, Makoto and Chiaki, who both were sitting next to each other, holding hands, loving the display and sharing the same thought: That they will never forget this day.

And that's all folks!

This chapter might be a bit smaller than the previous two, but it's still a nice chapter, nonetheless. Also, not only is this chapter celebrating the Sumidagawa fireworks festival, but it's also supposed to celebrate the 4th of July (and yes, I know, that I'm a bit late to that. But it's the thought that counts.).

Anyway, you know the drill: leave a review (keep criticism constructive, no mean comments), leave any ideas or suggestions you have, what should I improve/change with this chapter along with the others, etc.

Later and have a nice day/night!
