HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE! Last chapter was a festival chapter celebrating a certain festival in Japan, and of course, this chapter is celebrating HALLOWEEN! And so, without further ado, LET THE SPOOKINESS BEGIN!
Tonight was a spooky night! For tonight was a night of monsters, terror, and most of all, CANDY! Tonight was HALLOWEEN!
That is right! This is Halloween, this is Halloween~! Halloween~! Halloween~! Halloween~! Halloween~!
Yes, it is Halloween and of course that means that our favorite couple is going to be celebrating it. And the way the couple are going to celebrate it is by going to Global Studios Japan, Japan's best theme park several years in a row! Currently the two are sitting in the back of a taxi cab with Chiaki playing on her Nantendo Game Girl Advance, just waiting until they arrive at the theme park, with Makoto on the right side and Chiaki on the left side of the back of said taxi cab.
Both were dressed up, with Makoto dressed as Phineas Right, a lawyer from the Phineas Right: Adept Attorney video games, while Chiaki was dressed as Shinji Touma, the space fighter protagonist from the Gala Omega game that she is currently playing on her Nantendo Game Girl Advance.
While Chiaki was playing her game, Makoto was looking out the window, taking in the sight of people going about and enjoying the spooky night in wonderful costumes, along with cars driving by and so on (he even saw a few cars that had Halloween decorations on them, which he liked and smiled at). He looked at his girlfriend and, while on the outside she looked calm, but he could tell that in her eyes, on the inside, she was excited for their destination. He too was excited for their destination. He looked back out the window and smiled. Tonight was going to be thrilling.
They eventually arrived at their destination. Well technically, the taxi dropped them off a good distance from their desired destination because the driver couldn't exactly drop them off at the entrance which was fine. Makoto paid and thanked the taxi driver before Makoto and Chiaki walked to their destination. As they walked, Chiaki continued playing her Nantendo Game Girl Advance and while her boyfriend looked around and saw more and more people dressed in Halloween costumes and saw that some of them are going to the same destination as they are.
They continued walking until Makoto stopped, also stopping his girlfriend by putting his hand on her shoulder. She paused her game and looked at Makoto with a puzzled look. He looks forward with amazement and simply points towards what he is looking at. Chiaki looks at what he is looking at…and her face joins his face in amazement.
The couple have finally arrived at their destination. And what they saw really was amazing. For their destination…
…was a sight to behold!
Their destination being Global Studios Japan! One of Japan's biggest amusement parks! An amusement park that every October gets decorated and celebrates Halloween! This is shown with the entrance where it is like a sort of tall gate that is dressed up with balloons of ghosts and witches, skeletons hanging off the gate, large cobwebs with spiders on it, etc. Behind the entrance is the ticket entrance where people can pay their tickets to get in or just show off their tickets for those who bought their tickets ahead of time. Our couple is of the latter, where Makoto bought tickets ahead of time, thinking that it would make things easier and faster (which is correct; tickets to GSJ are difficult to get and do cost almost an arm and leg to get, especially for special occasions such as Halloween. But Makoto managed to save enough money for him and Chiaki so they could really celebrate tonight).
Speaking of our couple, they kept staring at the gate entrance in amazement. They kept staring for some time until Makoto finally snapped out of the trance, realizing what they were doing.
He looks at Chiaki, smiles and says in excitement, "Come on." He leads them both to the lines to the ticket entrance.
They get in one of the lines, which are a bit long, and wait patiently. While the couple was waiting, Makoto took out the two tickets he got in preparation while Chiaki went back to playing her game, although she shuffles her feet in excitement-she can't wait to see what Global Studios Japan has in store for guests during Halloween! The couple moves forward and forward, eventually making it to the ticket gate. Makoto gives the tickets to their line's ticket operator and the operator lets them pass. The couple steps through the ticket gate, but soon stops after taking several steps, experiencing the same thing as seeing the tall gate but on a MUCH grander scale. Because the tall gate was NOTHING in comparison with what they are seeing right now.
To say that they were flabbergasted…would be an UNDERSTATEMENT.
Because what they are seeing right now…
…is another world unlike their own that they just stepped into.
A world of TERROR and HORROR.
A world of THRILLS and EXCITEMENT.
A world that is…HALLOWEEN!
What the couple was seeing was the world of Global Studios Japan dressed up for Halloween! An amusement park full of rides, food and drinks, a range of accessories, attractions, etc. From what the couple could see, there were also different areas, various sections of places from various franchises of movies, tv series, and video games. Each area also varied, from fantasy to sci-fi to manga (or comics if you're from the West), and so on. But what is the most prevalent is how the park is festive with Halloween; everything related to Halloween is here: monsters, aliens, cowboys, zombies, ghosts, fictional characters-from people dressed up in costumes of other people and creatures that are fictional and nonfictional. If all the Halloween decorations were taken away, then a person would have easily mistaken Global Studios Japan as a big cosplay convention but also with rides and attractions. Truly, it was INCREDIBLE SIGHT!
Makoto and Chiaki continued staring flabbergasted and continued more.

More.
Still more.
Eventually the staring stopped when a couple of kids ran by them, where one bumped into Makoto who in turn bumped into his girlfriend. The parents of the kids told them to wait up and also the parents apologized to the couple being bumped into. Of course Makoto and Chiaki told them no worries and that it was alright, which then the parents quickly left to catch up to their kids.
Makoto looks at Chiaki, making eye contact and says, "This is going to be so much fun!" He smiled in excitement while his heart was pounding hard and fast.
Chiaki's expression and heart mirrors Makoto's. "Yes, it is! …I think."
Her boyfriend chuckles at the last bit of her statement. He holds his hand and asks, "What do you want to do first?"
She takes his hand, interlocking their fingers. "Let's go see the rides first."
He nods. "Alright. Rides, here we come!" They both start walking towards the nearest rides.
The first section they went to that was the closest was the Hollywood section. A section that had everything related to well…Hollywood (yes, pretty self-explanatory). But since it is Halloween, a vast majority of the Hollywood section featured lots of scary and horror movies and tv series, in fact there were several movies about Halloween or takes place during it. The first ride our favorite couple went to was the Hollywood Fantasy (or Hollywood Nightmare, since again it is Halloween, with the word "Fantasy" crossed out in fake blood and replaced with the word "Nightmare"), a roller coaster, although it is considered the Ultimate Roller Coaster. It is a roller coaster where the rider gets hurled at high speeds while listening to their favorite tunes (isn't that lovely?)! For Makoto and Chiaki, they had two different reactions when experiencing the Hollywood Nightmare: Makoto had to sit down and hold his stomach due to temporarily losing feeling to his legs and feeling like he was going to throw up (luckily he didn't); while Chiaki felt a RUSH of ADRENALINE pumping through her veins, having only felt like this when playing HARDCORE games that are set to the HIGHEST difficulty! They wait until Makoto feels alright to move and then they continue their adventure, riding a few more rides and looking at the merchandise along with taking pictures, sightseeing, etc. before moving on.
The second section they went to was the Global Wonderland section. A land of fun and entertainment, a place where children can have the most fun! Makoto and Chiaki went to the section and went on some rides. While Global Wonderland is for kids, anyone and everyone can have fun, regardless of their age. Our favorite couple did indeed have a lot of fun (most likely because the rides are less extreme than the more adult rides, so Makoto wouldn't have to worry about losing his stomach. One ride that he liked was The Flying Nosey, a ride where people ride on a dog that goes around in circles.)! Afterwards, the couple moves on.
The third section was the Magical World of Harold Patter section. Harold Patter is the main character from a fantasy and magic book series of the same name. So of course, the section is a land of fantasy and magic, with lots of wands, dragons, and everything fantasy related. The couple was mystified by what they saw; amazed at the architecture of the buildings made to look like their from the Medieval ages, park employees dressed up as wizards and mythical creatures, etc. The couple explored, took pictures and selfies with various attractions such as the Pigwarts Express, a train from the book series, and they even got to explore Pigwarts Castle, where the titular character goes to and learns magic. The couple did go on the ride, Flight of the Griffin, a ride that allows riders to fully see the entire section of the Magical World of Harold Patter.
The next section was Friendly Village. This section deals with the water, where it is a small fishing village. Guests can enjoy a place where they can have fun being near water…that also is the home of the town's man-eating shark, Mandible! The couple really liked it! They enjoyed the shops and went on the boat tour…where guests can try to escape from Mandile! Chiaki loved it, while her boyfriend didn't so much (Makoto developed a small (big) fear of sharks). Of course the couple got pictures and even snapped a photo with the shark that started it all (in the photo, the couple smiles, but if looked closely, fear is present in Makoto's eyes and he is farther away from the fake giant shark than Chiaki)!
After Friendly ('Not really!' Makoto thought.) Village was the section of Jurassic Land. A world where guests can travel back in time to where dinosaurs still roam the earth. Like with the other sections, the star couple very much enjoyed Jurassic Land! Pictures and eyes staring in awe ensued from the star couple. They went on to go on the ride, Jurassic Land - The Ride (how original). Suffice to say, the couple was amazed by the ride and section. In fact Chiaki was amazed so much that she decided that after they returned home, she was going to play more dinosaur games, starting with the game Battle of Colossuses: Dinosaurs.
Next was the section of San Francisco, which consisted of a lake and a small replica of San Francisco. The section is self-explanatory. The couple came and appreciated what they encountered. They took photos, bought a few things, etc. They did enjoy Updraft, a major film depicting great fire scenes and exploring anything fire-related: exploding oil drums, walls of flame, pillars of fire, and hot blasts. Although it is ironic that something about fire is next to a lake…
Anyway, the next section was Henchmen Park. A section about a bunch of small weird green beings known as Henchmen. The section is a place where mayhem reigns and families have fun! You can guess how our star couple felt towards the park. They had a BLAST! They had fun at what they saw, took pictures around the park and the employees dressed up as Henchmen, and since it was Halloween, all the Henchmen had various costumes. Makoto and Chiaki loved the park, enjoyed the shops and attractions (some they REALLY enjoyed such as the Cookie Kitchen. Delicious and alliterate!). They went on the Henchmen Havok ride, a ride where riders go into a world that's projected on a giant dome screen!
And finally, there was the last section which was New York, consisting of anything related to New York (pretty self-explanatory). A section where guests can get lost in the Big Apple, and explore the streets of 1930s New York! Makoto and Chiaki were very intrigued at what they saw, interested to be given a look into the past of another country's city. The rides and attractions were pretty amazing. They went on a ride called the Spectacular Adventures of Arachnid-man 4K3D - The Ride, Arachnid-man is a famous spider comic superhero from America. The ride is one of, if not, THE most famous attractions in the world, winning world's best ride 7 consecutive years! The ride was SO AMAZING that Makoto and Chiaki both thought of looking more into Arachnid-man, and having heard that the latest Arachnid-man movie is about to come out soon, so they will be making plans for that. At the end of the ride, they along with other riders got their picture taken by the Arachnid-man (not really, it was a camera disguised on screen) which they got and they loved very much!
But eventually it was time to head home. The exciting adventure had to come to an end. But what an adventure it was.
"That was AWESOME!" Chiaki jumped up and threw her hands up in the air in excitement. The couple were walking away from the amusement park entrance.
"Yeah, it sure was!" Makoto returned his girlfriend's bright smile with his own. Happy that his girlfriend was happy.
"All those rides and attractions!" Chiaki recalled. "All those shops and merchandise…it was amazing!"
"You said it." Makoto nods. "The rides especially were amazing." Makoto too recalls, both loving and being terrified of said rides.
"Yes, especially the rides were incredible!" She nodded too.
"I'm sure glad you had a fun time."
"This Halloween was amazing! I didn't celebrate it much before, I only celebrated it by playing scary and horror games." The Ultimate Gamer recalled past Halloweens and all the scary and horror games she played and beat. "But this time it was different. This time…" She blushes. "...I really got to celebrate Halloween with someone special, who showed me a wonderful time."
Makoto also blushes, his chest warming. He smiles. He chuckles a little. "Yeah…someone special."
His girlfriend also chuckles a little and smiles. "Yeah…someone lucky." They both chuckle more. Chiaki gives Makoto a big hug. She makes eye contact with him, still smiling, and says, "Thank you for this, Makoto. I really appreciated it."
He returns her hug, still smiling. He lovingly says, "You're welcome, Chiaki. Just wanted to do something special on Halloween for you."
She leans up. "I love you."
He leans down. "I love you too."
They passionately kiss. The Ultimate Lucky Student and the Ultimate Gamer showing each other love in front of an amusement park on a holiday of trick and treats.
They stop kissing. And stare into each other's eyes for a moment. Until an idea came into Makoto's head.
"Let's take a selfie." He takes out his phone.
They stand side by side, side hugging each other with Makoto holding his phone out to get the best angle of them and the park behind them. Click! The moment is immortalized, a picture showing the Ultimate Lucky Student dressed as a video game lawyer and the Ultimate Gamer dressed as a video game space fighter together in front of Global Studios Japan.
Both of them loved the photo. Once the deed is done, Makoto puts his phone away and grabs his girlfriend's hand, interlocking their fingers. "Let's go home." He smiles at her.
She returns his smiles with her own and nods. "Yes, let's go back home."
They walked away from the park, eventually getting a taxi and off they went home.

First I apologize if this chapter seemed to be a bit rushed but I was busy with life stuff. Wanted to get this out on time for Halloween. I might come back and add more stuff to this chapter.
Did you guys know that Japan does celebrate Halloween? Japan does, the Japanese are REALLY into it, although they don't do trick or treating. It was interesting to learn about.
Things I want to point out:
Global Studios Japan is a stand in for Universal Studios Japan. I could've done the real thing but I liked doing the stand in, it just felt better.
Yes, Makoto is dressed as Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. Why? Because of the trials in Danganronpa 1, so I wanted to play into that.
Chiaki dressed as a space fighter from Gala Omega. Gala Omega being a stand in for Galaga. I looked up to see if there were any protagonists for Galaga but there weren't any protagonists. So I made up Shinji Touma, which is a nod to Shigeru Yokoyama, the developer of Galaga.
That Nightmare before Christmas song touch at the beginning is intentional. Kudos to those who spotted it. The Nightmare before Christmas is one of my favorite movies. What are your thoughts on it?
Also does Chiaki seem a bit OOC? I feel like she is, but I can't be sure. If she isn't, great; if yes, please tell me.
