Authoress Note: Welcome to Chapter 3 of Fake It. Thank you to those who have left reviews. It really does mean a lot to me. I have a feeling that this story is going to perhaps be longer than my Elder Swann's story. But I currently have no idea since I'm writing the chapters out still. Enough of my rambling. I kind of don't want to get a little carried away with my authoress notes. I hope that you guys enjoy this next chapter. Without further ado Chapter 3. ENJOY!
Chapter 3
"Father!" Morgan shouted her eyes wide as she saw something falling.
Jack reacted and pushed Murtogg aside to see a woman in a gown plummeting from the top of the cliff. He watched her hitting the water, narrowly missing the sharp rocks.
"ELIZABETH!"
Morgan looked up seeing a person gazing over the edge trying to see where the woman had fallen into the water.
Murtogg and Mullroy were still in shock from the sight of what had happened.
"Aren't you going to save her?" Jack questioned tilting his head to the side to look at the two men. The last thing that they needed was something stupid happening such as them not being able to swim.
"I can't swim." Mullroy exclaimed.
Mutrogg shook his head telling the two buccaneers that he couldn't swim either.
Jack rolled his eyes before looking at his daughter. "Sailors."
"Pride of the King's Navy says they." Morgan said with a scoff.
Jack scowled a little knowing he had no choice and it was rather irksome. "Fine."
"Father." Morgan said, moving slightly.
"No ye stay here."
Morgan let out a huff. "Fine."
Jack pulled his pistol from his sword belt and handed it to Murtogg and then handed his belt to Mullroy. "Don't lose these." Then he dived into the water.
Morgan let out a soft huff crossing her arms. She should have known that her father wasn't going to be so willing to have her trying to save the young woman that had fallen in. She shook her head lightly before removing her belt that had her gun and sword before handing it to Murtogg. "Hold onto these and don't lose them."
"Hey your father told you to stay put." Mullroy said, looking at her with wide eyes.
Morgan then tossed her hat to one of the men. "Aye that may be true, but he knows I don't like to listen to what he says." She said before jumping into the water and swimming to help her father out with the woman that was under the water. She spat the water out that she had gotten in her mouth and began to swim. She then dived under the water and swam to where her father was getting the woman out of her heavy gown. She swam over and wrapped her one arm around the woman while Jack did the same and the two of them swam up to the surface.
Jack took a deep breath of air as they got up to the surface. He looked over at his daughter, giving her a glare. "I told you to stay on the ship."
Morgan rolled her eyes as they began to swim towards the dock. "You knew I wasn't going to listen to what you said, father."
Jack let out a frustrated groan as he swam the two of them bringing Elizabeth to the dock. "I swear you are turning out more and more like your mum." He grumbled in irritation.
They got to the dock and Murtogg and Mullroy were there to help haul Elizabeth out of the water.
Jack climbed up onto the dock exhausted.
Morgan climbed up panting softly pushing her wet brown hair out of her face.
Elizabeth was on her back and Murtogg held her arms above her head pumping them.
Mullroy put his cheek to her nose and mouth. "Not breathing."
Murtogg looked down, looking rather hopeless.
Jack let out a breath and stepped up drawing Murtogg's knife from its sheath. "Move." He pushed past Mullroy, kneeling over Elizabeth and raised the knife before slitting the corset down the middle before yanking it away.
Elizabeth remained still for a moment and then suddenly she coughed up water gasping for hair choking on her first full breath.
Jack leaned back looking rather relieved.
Morgan let out a soft huff as she got up to her feet, water dripping off of her and down onto the dock.
"I never would have thought of that." Mullroy said, rather surprised.
"Clearly, you've never been to Singapore." Jack flipped the knife and handed it hilt first to Murtogg before suddenly spotting a medallion that was around Elizabeth's neck. He caught it in his hand looking at her. "Where did you get this?"
But before Elizabeth could answer, a blade of a sword was at Jack's throat.
"On your feet." Norrington said sharply to Jack.
Morgan let out a breath lowering her head knowing that it was rather bad looking. Her father standing over Elizabeth, most of her clothes missing.
Jack got onto his feet.
"Elizabeth! Are you all right?" The governor stripped off his jacket and draped it around her covering her body.
"Yes - yes, I'm fine - Commodore Norrington, do you intend to kill my rescuers?"
Norrington looked at Jack and Jack nodded his head the best he could with a blade under his chin. Norrington then sheathed his sword and then extended his hand.
Morgan let out a soft breath hoping that this wouldn't have any troubles headed their way.
"I believe thanks are in order."
Jack took Norrintong's hand gingerly. The two of them shook hands.
Suddenly Norrinton tightened his grip, yanking Jack's arm towards him, tearing back the sleeve of Jack's shirt exposing the brand that was on Jack's inner wrist which was a large 'P'. "Had a brush-up with the East India Trading Company, did you … pirate?"
The others reacted in shock, but well trained sailors in an instant half a dozen pistols were aimed at Jack and Morgan.
"Keep your guns on him, men. Gillette, fetch some irons." Norrington said ordering his second in command. He then noticed something else that was below the branding was a tattoo of a small bird in flight over water. "Well, well... Jack Sparrow, isn't it?"
"Captain Jack Sparrow. If you please."
Morgan let out a groan. "No time to go over pleasantries father." Morgan snapped as more guns were trained on her now ratting herself out as a pirate as well.
Norrington looked out onto the bay not seeing a ship that he could've come in on. "I don't see your ship - Captain."
"He said he'd come to commandeer one." Murtogg said.
"I told you he was telling the truth. These are his, sir." Mullroy said, holding out the pistol and belts.
Norrington took the pistol and examined it, noting that the powder horn was on the belt. "Extra powder, but no additional shot."
Jack shrugged his shoulders.
Norrington then unhooked the compass from the belt and opened it. He frowned at the reading. He moved the compass around keeping it parallel to the ground. "It doesn't bear true."
Jack looked away a bit embarrassed.
Norrington returned the compass to the belt. He then drew the sword halfway from the scabbard. "I half-expected it to be made of wood." He slid it back into the scabbard and handed it back to Mullroy. "Taking stock: you've got a pistol with only one shot, a compass that doesn't point north ... and no ship. You are without a doubt the worst pirate I have ever heard of."
"Ah, but you have heard of me."
Norrington than moved around and grasped Morgan's arm pulling it to him to check her arm. His brows furrowed when he saw no pirate brand on her. He looked up at her deeming her not a pirate. He released her arm before wrapping an arm around her, bringing her away from her father.
Gillette returned with the shackles approaching Jack.
"Carefully, lieutenant." Norrington said as he put Morgan next to Elizabeth and the governor.
Morgan swallowed the lump in her throat rather concerned of what her father was doing.
Elizabeth suddenly stepped forward and her father's jacket slipped off of her. She was unconcerned about the coat even though he was intent on putting it back on her. "Commodore, I must protest. Pirate or not, this man saved my life."
"One good deed is not enough to redeem a man of a lifetime of wickedness."
Morgan looked away as Gillette snapped the manacles closed onto her father's wrists.
"But it seems to be enough to condemn him." Jack said a little frustrated that this happened, but he could be thankful that his daughter was safe since she wasn't branded like he was.
Norrington smiled at what Jack had said. "Indeed."
Now that Jack was safely chained, Norrington nodded to his men. All but one stowed their weapons and two stepped forward.
"Finally." Lightning quick, he snapped the corset around the hand and wrist of the man holding his pistol and yanked. The pistol sailed into the water. Before anyone could react to that, Jack has the manacle chain wrapped around Elizabeth's throat.
Pistols were quickly drawn again, but now Elizabeth was being used as a shield.
Norringotn raised his hand, cautioning his men.
Jack began to back away towards land. "Commodore Norrington ... my pistol and belt, please."
Norrington hesitated before balling his fists in frustration.
"Commodore!"
Mullroy handed the pistol and belt to Norrington.
Norrington then held them out to Jack.
"Elizabeth - it is Elizabeth?"
Elizabeth looked at Jack more angry than frightened. "Miss Swann."
"Miss Swann, if you'll be so kind?"
She took the belt and pistol from Norrington.
Jack was quicker than she was and took the pistol from her. He jerked her around so she was facing him belly to belly. "Now, if you'll be very kind?"
Morgan let out soft breath looking at her father with an irritated look. She watched Elziabeth put her father's belt around his waist.
"You are despicable." Elizabeth said through gritted teeth.
"I saved your life; now you've saved mine. We're square." Once Elizabeth was finished he turned her again and continued to back up until he bumped against the cargo gantry. "Gentlemen ... m'lady ... you will always remember this as the day you almost caught Captain Jack Sparrow." He then shoved Elizabeth away and grabbed the rope and pulled free a belaying pin. A counterweight drops and he is lifted up to the middle of the gantry, where he grabs a second rope.
Pistols began to fire and miss.
Jack swung out, out, out, away from and around the gantry.
Norrington held his shot. With careful aim, he tracked Jack's trajectory.
Jack dropped from the rope even as Norrington fired. His shot tore the rope as Jack plummeted past one of the gantry guys lines. He snapped the length of the manacle chair over the line and grabbed a hold of the far loop and slid down the line dropping onto the deck of the ship before running and leaping to another ship and then was out of sight.
Morgan let out a huff and wrapped her arms around herself as she watched him escape. She knew that Norrington wouldn't take her to jail due to the fact that she in his eyes wasn't a pirate.
"On his heels! Gillette, bring a squad down from the fort!" Norrington then looked at Elizabeth. "Elizabeth, are you -"
"Yes, I'm all right, I'm fine! Go capture him."
Norrinton was taken aback by her reply of how sharp it was. He wisely took off not even looking at Morgan who stood there shivering.
Governor Swann draped his coat back around Elizabeth. "Here, dear ... you should wear this."
Elizabeth shivered, finding it suddenly she was cold. She glanced out at the bay where a thickening fog was moving across the water. She took the jacket. "Thank you, Father ... and let that be the last of your fashion advice, please." She then accepted his embrace of comfort. She looked over at Morgan. "You also saved me?" She questioned softly.
"Yes." Morgan said softly, nodding her head as she wrapped her arms around herself.
"Thank you."
Governor Swann looked at the young woman. "You're not a pirate are you?"
"Your Commodore Norrington looked at my arm… I'm not a pirate. A daughter of a moronic one perhaps, but not one."
"Father, we must let her have a place to stay."
"But Elizabeth."
"Father she saved me as well and she's not a pirate."
Governor Swann let out a breath and clicked his tongue against his teeth. "Alright." He said softly. "She can stay with us until she can find out what she'll be doing."
Morgan smiled a small weak smile. "Thank you." She said, bowing her head slightly. She knew that her father probably wouldn't be back to get her any time soon. She knew better to trust him to come back and bring her along with him.

This is the end of Chapter 3. I have to say that this is one of my longer chapters so far. I hope that you guys enjoyed it. I'm trying my best with writing and it is taking time to make the chapters longer. I hope that you guys didn't mind the fact that Elizabeth asked Morgan to go with her back to the house. There is a reason behind it and I promise that it will turn out for the best. Please leave a review and let me know what you think. Reviews keep me going and hopefully I'll be able to update with the next chapter. Until next time.
