Chapter 10

A dank, dark, and dirty port, where the tides had swept together the slum of the Caribbean, Pirates, Privateers, Prostitutes, Theives and Drunkards. With its cantered, rotting docks, weatherbeaten buildings, and odd assortment of livestock running free, it was far less civilized than Port Royal that Will was use to.

Morgan, Jack, and Will moved through the crowd.

A redheaded woman turned her head. She noticed Jack right away.

"We need a crew. We can manage the ship between islands, but the open sea, that's another matter -" Jack said, shaking his head lightly.

Suddenly the redhead slapped Jack, hard across the face. Satisfied she turned and walked off.

Will ignored the woman as he looked at Jack. "Just do it quickly."

Morgan shook her head lightly crossing her arms watching her father rubbing his jaw.

"Don't worry. I've already got a Quartermaster - there!" Jack led Will towards the pub, The Faithful Bride, the emblem over the door a politically incorrect painting of a smiling woman holding a bouquet in her chained-and-manacled hands. Jack pulled open the door.

Will walked inside passing a pretty Asian woman coming out, seeing Jack immediately and slapped him cursing at him in Chinese.

Jack backed away holding his hands up slightly. Jack closed the door on the woman joining Will and his daughter.

They took in the place, it is populated with a slightly higher class of scum.

Jack spotted a bartender smiling before moving forward.

Morgan let out a breath and slowly nudged Will with her arm making him follow her.

Suddenly Jack was decked by a waitress.

Morgan let out a breath seeing that it was AnaMaria, a tall, strong, tough woman who didn't even spill a drink off of her tray.

"You stole my boat." AnaMaria snarled in anger.

"AnaMaria! Have you seen Gibbs? I need to put together -"

AnaMaria slapped him again causing him to fall to the floor.

Will shook his head moving away slightly as Jack got up to his feet.

Morgan let out a breath shaking her head again knowing that AnaMaria was rather upset with her father.

"Borrowed. Borrowed your boat. Without permission."

AnaMaria charged, causing Jack to back away, putting a table between them. She chased him around the table carrying the tray. "My dory. The Jolly Mon. Where is it?"

"Safe! At Port Royal. With the Royal Navy."

"That boat is my livelihood!"

"You'll get it back. Or one better."

"I will."

Morgan came over to AnaMaria. "I'll make sure that father will get you your boat back."

AnaMaria looked at the daughter of Jack and nodded her head.

A patron called for his food.

AnaMaria scowled at Jack moving away, but came back for one more slap across the face.

Morgan let out a breath grabbing her father's arm and dragged him away from AnaMaria. "I told you that you shouldn't have done that to her."

"I needed a ship."

"You can't always think about yourself." Morgan said, shaking her head lightly shoving him away from her and walked to where Will was.

Jack let out a breath through his nose knowing that he was in a lot of trouble now.

"Jack! Over here!" Will called out for the older pirate.

Jack came over rubbing his chin trying to get the pain to subside.

"He knows Gibbs."

The bartender nodded his head yes and then gestured to out back. He then produced a water bucket from behind the bar.

Jack and Will exchanged a look with one another and Jack took the bucket.

"He's probably drunk off his ass." Morgan said, letting out a breath looking at her father.

Jack looked at his daughter. "Aye I suppose your right."

Morgan rolled her eyes a little and moved towards the back where Gibbs was probably sound asleep.
