Authoress Note: Welcome to Chapter 22 of Fake It. Thank you to all of those who have left reviews. It really does mean a lot to me. I'm trying my best to write this and make it good. It's just a bit harder since I have two OCs in this story. I hope that you guys enjoy this next chapter. Without further ado Chapter 22. ENJOY!

Chapter 22

Morgan swam to the shore being very careful not to be seen. She had a terrible feeling when her father had talked to Norrington and even she learned over time to not trust her father even though she knew he loved her. He was just very unpredictable and with Norrington and his men in harm's way to get his bloody ship back.

She pulled her body out of the water letting out panting breaths. She saw Norrington and his men. She slowly walked over to them.

Norrington heard sand moving as if someone was coming up behind them and quickly turned, drawing his pistol.

"Not here to harm." Morgan called out.

"Miss Sparrow, what are you doing here?" He blinked a few times seeing how soaked she was. "You swam here?"

Morgan let out a soft chuckle. "Yeah that I did."

"That was dangerous of you to do so."

Morgan shrugged her shoulders.

"You should've listened to Sparrow."

Morgan clicked her tongue against her teeth. "Not this again. There is a reason why I came. I don't fully trust my father. Something doesn't feel right to me…" Morgan explained to Norrington.

Gillette crouched, running low behind a line of rocks. He came to report to Norrington. "All the men in place, sir. Ready to fire."

"Wait for my order - what the blazes is that?" Norrington said, his eyes widening slightly.

"Cannon fire!" Morgan said as the cannon balls hit the shore, causing men to cry out in anguish.

"Men! Take cover!"

The sailors scrambled to find refuge from the cannon fire.

Morgan jumped out of the way before one hit the sand. "Bullocks." Morgan said, moving quickly to find a hiding place.

Norrington grabbed her arm and tugged her to him where he was hiding.

Morgan looked up at him with wide eyes wondering what he was doing.

He put his finger to his lips telling her to stay quiet.

Morgan swallowed the lump in her throat knowing who it was that was firing the cannons of the Dauntless. "It's Barbossa's crew…"

"What?"

"They're on the ship. My father must've not seen this coming… or Barbossa's that pitiful to tell them to take over the ship and fire on us."

Norrington thought about it for a moment. "You don't think Sparrow betrayed us."

Morgan nibbled her lower lip softly. "No, I don't think he did. But I do think Barbossa did something he wasn't expecting…"

Norrington pursed his lips trying to think of how that would have happened.

PIRATES

Will was guarded by the pirates who remained, glaring at Jack. "You've been planning this from the beginning. Since you learned my name."

Jack took the opportunity to move towards him. "Oh, please - did I really seem that clever?"

Bonnie looked at her husband with a curious look.

Before Will could even answer, Jack smoothly slipped the sword from a pirate's scabbard and tossed it to WIll who caught it despite his surprise.

"Use it well." Jack said before drawing his own sword and clobbered a pirate.

Barbossa stared in shock with the others. "Confound it, Jack - I was actually beginning to like you!"

Swords were drawn and Barbossa's men attacked.

Bonnie pulled her sword out knowing exactly what she was going to do as she jumped into the fray. She quickly joined Will and Jack.

The three of them took on multiple opponents. Will parried, glassades and disarms with lightning fast and perfect form, while Jack and Bonnie used their blades, fists, acrobatics and anything within their reach to survive.

PIRATES

The moon emerged from behind a cloud suddenly an army of skeleton pirates raised up from the sea and charged the stunned sailors. Several of them were struck down.

"Steady, men! Remember - we're the Navy!" Norrington said looking at his men and looked at Morgan who simply nodded her head as she pulled out her sword easily.

The sailors recovered their nerves and engaged with the enemy. It was a full on battle between the two groups.

The Navy men were driven back and surrounded.

Suddenly there was a massive boom of cannon fire.

Norrington, while in the midst of a sword fight, tries to see what was going on. "What is happening out there?"

Gillette turned his head to see that the Black Pearl was firing on the Dauntless. "They're on our side! Take heart, men!"

The Royal Navy stood their ground and fought.

Morgan ducked before slicing a pirate down before shoving the pirate down.

PIRATES

There were only two pirates left, Barbossa and Jacoby, Jacoby rounded on Will as Barbossa faced off against Jack after Bonnie had knocked another pirate down stabbing it.

"Just so you know, Jack - I don't think you're that clever. I think you're a fool. A mortal fool." Barbossa said as he fought Jack.

"Remarkable how often those two traits coincide." Jack drove him back, making Barbossa laugh. "You can't beat me, Jack." To prove his point, he dropped his sword, and caught Jack's sword with both hands.

Jack couldn't free it.

Barbossa twisted the sword from Jack's grip and reversed it and drove the sword into Jack's chest.

Bonnie let out a loud scream, her hands covering her mouth as tears slid down her cheeks.

Will was still battling Jacoby, seeing what happened to Jack, he smashed Jacoby in the jaw crumpling him. "Jack!"

Jack stared down at the sword that was jutting from his chest. He took a few steps backwards, toward the Aztec Gold. When he stepped into the moonlight he turned into a skeleton. "Well, isn't that interesting." He pulled the sword from his chest. He pulled something out of his pocket which was one of the Aztec coins. "They're so pretty, I just couldn't resist stealing one. It's a curse, I guess."

Bonnie looked at Jack with wide eyes. She couldn't believe that Jack had done that.

Barbossa grabbed up his sword and rushed at Jack. Both men were in the moonlight and now skeletons in a pitched battle. "So what now, Jack Sparrow? Are we to be two immortals, locked in an epic battle until the trumpets of Judgment Day?"

"Or you could surrender." He shoved Barbossa back, out of the moonlight.

Barbossa stalked the room, his attention focused on Jack. "Or I could chain you to a cannonball and drop you in the deepest part of the ocean, where you can contemplate your folly forever." Barbossa charged at Jack.

Suddenly a loud shot rang out.

Jack stood out of the moonlight, returning to flesh and blood again, now holding his smoking pistol that was aimed at Barbossa.

"Hah. Ten years you carried that pistol, and you end up wasting your shot." Barbossa said with a laugh.

"He didn't waste it."

Barbossa turned to Will and saw him standing over the Aztec chest, holding a bloody sword, his left hand in a fist.

Will opened his fist revealing the medallion, blood covering it, dropped it from his hand revealing the cut on his palm.

Barbossa stared, then looked down to his chest. Blood blossomed on his shirt around the bullet hole. It spread quickly. He clutched his chest, his face registering pain for the first time in years. He fell heavily to the ground.

Jack blew the smoke from the barrel of his pistol and tossed it away.

Bonnie quickly moved to her husband and jumped into his arms hugging him tightly.

Jack wrapped his arms around her holding her close.

PIRATES

Murtogg fired his pistol at a pirate causing it to scream and pain and fell to the ground after being shot.

Mullroy ran through another pirate with a sword.

Morgan turned sharply stabbing one of the pirates with her sword as well.

The pirates reacted to the sight, and quickly realized their peril. They set their weapons down in surrender.

Morgan panted softly as she looked around in awe softly. The curse was finally broken and her mother was free. She knew it could only have meant that Barbossa was dead and her father had succeeded in what he had set up for. She looked over to the Dauntless and saw the crew swarm across overwhelming the pirates that were on the ship.

The men around her cheered as they watched the crew save their ship.

This is the end of chapter 22. I hope that you guys enjoyed this chapter. I'm trying my best with writing this story. There are only 2 chapters left of this book. And I'm excited to show you everything that I have planned. I guess I shouldn't be that excited to do this, but I guess because this story was a long wait and it should've never taken this long to finish it up.
