Chapter 1: Meeting Red
-From Dust Till Dawn, Vale-
Sky Obsidian hummed quietly as he looked through a copy of a weapons magazine with his helmet off, looking at potential upgrades for his guns. There was a smoothbore barrel for sidearms, which could increase the speed his bullets flew, and there was also a hammer designed for fanning and even serrated blades for the dagger form of his guns. So many options…
He glanced to the side at a girl in a red cloak and hood who was reading the same magazine as he was. The clothes she had under her hood consisted of a black and red blouse, combat skirt, black stockings and black boots. On her hip was a belt with some bullets, a burning rose pendant and a cross. She also had pale looking skin, but that didn't really do anything bad for her looks. He could faintly hear some music coming from the wireless headset she was wearing.
'Nice to know she has good taste.' He remarked mentally as he went back to his magazine.
As the two continued to read their magazines, the doors of the shop opened and several men walked into it. The group was led by a man in a bowler hat and white suit, who was also carrying a cane.
"Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a Dust shop that's open this time of night?" The leader of the group said before one of his men pointed his gun at the shopkeeper.
"W-wait! J-just take the lien and leave I-" He stammered before he was cut off.
"Shh shh shh. We're not here for just the money." The man said before addressing his goons. "Load up the Dust, and be careful about it. That stuff has more value than the money." He ordered.
The thugs nodded as they got to work, taking great care to load the Dust without damaging it. Some others took the lien, too, deciding to get some extra cash to line their pockets. One of them noticed the two customers at the back of the store and pointed his gun at them.
"Hey! You two, get your hands in the air!" The mook barked at the two, but his words seemed to fall on deaf ears as both kids ignored him. "Hey, do you have a death wish?" He growled as he grabbed them on the shoulder.
The two kids turned to him, Sky raising an eyebrow at him while the hood of the girl beside him fell down, revealing her heart shaped face, black hair with red tips and silver eyes. The thug pointed a finger at his ears, prompting the girl to take off her headphones.
"Uh, what's happening?" The girl asked in confusion.
"I said, get your hands in the air, now!" The man barked.
"I think he's trying to rob us." Sky noted, though he seemed unphased by this. "In all honesty, that would be intimidating if he was… Well, intimidating." He added offhandedly, causing his female companion to giggle.
"Are you mocking me?!" The mook growled as he pointed his gun at him.
"Who, me? Oh no no no… Pfft, yeah!" Sky denied before he snorted and confessed. He then smacked his gun aside before sending a concentrated shockwave at him, sending the thug flying through a window.
This made the rest of the goons turn around as the girl came flying out of nowhere and kicked another guy through the window before landing outside and bringing out her weapon, which was a giant red and black scythe combined with a sniper rifle. Sky jumped over the thugs and joined her, bringing out his sword and stabbing it in the ground as he looked at them with a bored expression that said 'at least try to put up a fight' before he put his helmet on. His new friend twirled her scythe before stabbing it in the ground and turning off her headphones.
"... Okay… Get them." The thief ordered his thugs after a beat passed, who were a little upset by Sky's expression when he looked at them and wanted to get some payback.
This led to the goons all charging at the two kids and attacking, with Sky blocking the blades of two with the flat of his sword, and pulling out one of his pistols and switching it to its dagger form.
"Wow, you can see the Traveler really clear at night in Vale, cool." He noted as he took note of the large planetoid that floated above them in the distance, before he slashed at the legs of the two men in front of them, causing their auras to flicker and make them drop to one knee, allowing him to send them flying with a sword swing.
Meanwhile with the only female present, she dodged the gunfire of one thug with her Speed semblance before dropping kicking him and making him eat the pavement. She then proceeded to slash at another one and knock him off his feet and slamming her feet on his face, knocking him out. She then ran at another thug right as Sky did with a different one before they both attacked and sent their respective thugs flying into each other hard, knocking them out.
"Not bad at all. You two were worth every lien, Red and Blue. But…" He trailed off as he pointed his cane at them, a crosshair popping up as the two looked at him. "... I think this is where we part ways." He finished as he fired a shot, forcing both of them to dodge as an explosion erupted from where it hit.
"Should we go after him?" The girl asked Sky as Torchwick started making his escape but was still mostly in their eyeshot.
"Somebody has to." He nodded before looking at the shopkeep. "Oi! Can you handle yourself from here?" He asked, getting a nod in return. "Okay, let's move!" Sky prompted, running after the criminal with his companion following him.
The two then started to chase Torchwick across the rooftops of several buildings and tried to slow him down by shooting at him, but he was still able to get to a spot where a getaway vehicle could appear at any second.
"Sorry kiddos, but this is my drop off." The crime lord said before he suddenly leaned back and let himself fall off the building, much to the shock of his teenage pursuers.
"What…" The red tipped girl tried to say before both of them heard the sound of aircraft engines. It was at that moment a Bullhead rose up with him in the troop bay.
"End of the line, kids!" He yelled over the engines as he threw a Dust crystal at them. Before they could react, he fired a shot at it and made it explode. The orange haired criminal laughed before as the airship flew away.
As the smoke cleared it was soon revealed that the kids were thankfully still alive… And they were this way because someone else had arrived and saved them.
It was a woman. She had blonde hair tied up in a bun, fair skin, and a strict looking appearance on her face. Her attire consisted of a pair of glasses over her green eyes, a white blouse that showed her GG-cup cleavage, a black skirt, black stockings and black heels. She also had a black and purple cape that looked like it was purposely designed to look tattered.
The woman also seemed to have a weapon in her hands, which in this case was a riding crop. This choice in weapon and attire in particular made Sky immediately start blushing like an idiot as his face turned a shade of rose pink. He loved dominatrix-like women, it was kinda one of his fetishes. He was really lucky that his helmet was on right now.
"You're a Huntress!" The scythe user exclaimed in glee, snapping Sky out of his thoughts as he looked at her. "Can I have your autograph?!" She asked eagerly.
(About an hour later)
"I hope you realize what you two did won't go unanswered! You put yourselves and others in great danger!" The older woman scolded them as the girl in red looked ashamed while Sky, who had taken his helmet off, looked like he couldn't care less. The two had been dragged to an interrogation room at the Police department so that they could have their little meeting.
"They started it!" The girl tried to argue.
"Plus, we were the only ones there, so we didn't exactly have a choice." Sky added.
"If it were up to me, you'd be sent home with a pat on the back…" The blonde Huntress trailed off, causing Ruby to perk up. "... And a slap on the wrist!" She finished, slapping her riding crop on the table, causing the silver eyed teen to squeak while Sky looked unphased.
"You say that like I have a home to go back to." He told her flatly with a hint of sadness, causing his companion to look at him with wide eyes while the older woman winced and looked a little apologetic.
"My apologies for the wording." She said to him. "Anyway, there's someone who wants to speak with both of you." She added before stepping aside as someone else walked in. It was a man with gray hair and a pair of glasses over his brown eyes. His appearance largely consisted of generally black and green clothing with a gray scarf that had the Beacon Academy insignia on it.
He was also carrying a mug of coffee and a plate of cookies in each hand. Which he sat down as he took a seat across from them, placing the cane he had with him to the side.
"You're Ruby Rose, correct?" The man asked as he looked at the two.
"Yeah. Why?" The girl asked in return.
"You… Have silver eyes…" He noted, much to the girl's confusion. "Interesting." He nodded, dismissing the matter as quickly as he brought it up.
'What was that about?' The two thought in unison. They decided to shrug it off as they ate the cookies. Sky took six and left the rest for Ruby to basically inhale.
"Where did you learn how to do this?" The headmaster questioned as he showed a video of the fight in question.
"Uh, Signal Academy?" The silver eyed girl said as he drank a glass of milk.
"They taught you how to wield one of the most dangerous weapons ever designed?" Ozpin asked incredulously.
"Well, one in particular." Ruby clarified.
"That being…?" Sky inquired as he ate one of his cookies.
"My Uncle Qrow." She replied, much to the Knight's surprise.
"Wait, the same guy that brought me to Vale from Mistral? You're that drunkard's niece?" He asked in surprise.
"You know my uncle?!" Ruby gasped before she realized something. "Wait, I don't think you told me your name." She added.
"It's Sky Obsidian, but that's not important right now." The Knight said as they turned towards Ozpin again. "What's this all about?" He asked.
"I want both of you to join my school." He told them bluntly, much to their surprise. "Simply put, Sky, you in particular have been a person of interest for me for a while now, for reasons I'm sure Qrow has already filled you in on." The man continued. "And as for you miss Rose, your showings today and the things your uncle has told me about you have led me to believe that you are also someone I would want in my school." He added.
"A-are you serious?!" Ruby asked, almost in disbelief before she smiled happily. "I'm in!" She nodded.
"So am I." Sky nodded as well.
"Good. Before we finish things for the night, do both of you know who I am?" The man inquired.
"Professor Ozpin, Beacon's Headmaster." Sky stated, Ruby nodding in agreement with him.
"Correct. Now, I'll see you both at the start of the school year." Ozpin nodded before he gave both of them tickets to board a transport to Beacon when it was time. He then took his leave, the Huntress following after him. The two teens then left together, walking side by side.
"So Sky, do you have a place to stay?" Ruby asked, unwilling to just leave him alone if he had nowhere to stay for the time being.
"Honestly… No, no I don't." He replied with a sigh. "Been living out of my Jeep mainly." He added. Ruby gasped before she suddenly grabbed his arm, unknowingly pulling it into her modest AA-cup bust.
"That's it, you're staying with me and my family on Patch!" She declared with finality as she started dragging him to the dock.
"Can we get my ride first?!" The boy protested, causing Ruby to pause in her stride.
"... Yeah, let's do that." She said as she released him with a sheepish look on her face. The two then went to a parking space that was near the Dust shop they defended before they found the car they were looking for.
It was a really good looking Jeep. It had a black body with two blue stripes on the hood, blue flames painted on the sides near the wheels, and off-road tires. The inside had five seats with the ones in the back doubling as cargo storage and the two front row seats had seat warmers and a sun roof. Written in cursive on both sides of the hood in white was the name of the ride: Consequence.
"Whoa. Yang's gonna love this." Ruby whistled as she got in the shotgun seat, making sure to watch her cape in the door.
"Hang on, Yang? As in Raven's daughter?" The boy asked before covering his mouth as he just realized what exactly he just let slip.
"Wait, you know her real mom?!" Ruby gasped in surprise.
"... Yeah." The boy sighed, not willing to deny it.
"Oh boy, uh, yeah… You might wanna be careful with what you say around her." Ruby told him awkwardly as Sky started up the engine.
"Noted. Now, which way do we go to get to Patch?" Sky asked as he started driving. Ruby relayed directions to him as drove and soon enough, they were on a boat heading for Patch.
(Half an hour later)
After a short boat ride, the two teens disembarked with the Jeep and Ruby directed them to where they'd be staying. Sky blinked when they pulled up to a wooden cabin in the woods and his new friend told him to stop here.
"This is the place?" He asked as he turned off the engine and got out.
"Yep, this is home for me." The girl nodded as she led him inside. "I'm back!" She called, and a black and white corgi immediately ran up to her, prompting her to kneel down and pick him up as he licked her face. "Hi, Zwei!" She smiled as she held him. Sky watched the interaction with a small smile on his face as he took his helmet off.
"Definitely looks like a house made for a family of three." The knight nodded as he looked around. Zwei looked at him before jumping out of Ruby's arms and walked over to him. He sniffed at Sky's feet, trying to read his scent. After a few moments, he barked happily and put his front paws on his shins. "Heh, cute little fella, ain't he?" He chuckled as he picked up the little corgi.
"Yeah, that's Zwei for ya." Ruby nodded with a grin before they heard footsteps.
"Ruby are you– Oh, you're back! … And brought a new face." A female voice said, prompting them to look at the owner… And Sky's heart almost stopped.
The girl in question was an inch or two shorter than him, but was way taller than Ruby, and seemed to be about his age—if not a year younger. She had long golden hair that looked almost identical to how he remembered Raven's to be, and she looked like the tribe leader as well. But the main differences being that she had lilac colored eyes and a much stalkier and top heavy body.
This was particularly evident by the fact that she looked like she had a pair of DDs—which seemed to still be growing—puffing out her yellow tube top, giving her some very ample cleavage. She also had on a brown biker jacket over it with a pair of black, fingerless gloves on her hands. She also had black booty shorts under what looked like coat tails tied around her waist, and a pair of boots on her feet. On her wrists were a pair of golden bracelets that had gun barrels on them.
Sky couldn't stop himself from staring at the golden haired goddess that stood in front of him. Now, don't get him wrong, Glynda Goodwitch was a gorgeous cougar and there was no disputing that—but when compared to the girl in front of him—he wasn't sure why, but in terms of beauty—it was no contest between the two.
"Uh, you good?" The blondie asked, causing Sky to snap out of his stupor.
"Sorry about that. You're just… Well, you remind me of someone else." Sky replied, trying to be careful with his words. "Name's Sky Obsidian, by the way." He added. 'Her hair… her chest… they're both like Raven's.' He noted mentally, seeing just what parts were in this girl's genes.
"Oh, well, I'm Yang. Nice to meet you." Yang smiled as she approached the two from the stairwell.
"I brought Sky here since he was apparently living in his car." Ruby stated as she jutted a thumb at said vehicle.
"Okay, then." Yang said with a blink before looking at the Jeep, letting out an appreciative whistle. "Hell of a ride, though." She added.
"Thanks." Sky nodded. "Anyway, got a guest room?" He then asked.
"Yeah. Come on, I'll show you the way." The busty blondie beckoned as she led him to the guest room before suddenly stopping. "By the way, Ruby, dad's not back yet, so let him know we have company, okay?" She called to her little sister.
"Got it!" Ruby called back before the two continued to the guest room.
"So, how did you and my sister meet?" Yang asked as they walked towards the bedroom.
"We met in a Dust shop that we stopped from getting robbed." Sky told her. "Then we got chewed out by Glynda Goodwitch, headmistress of Beacon. And offered a chance to go to Beacon by Ozpin." He added.
"Wait, my baby sis is going to Beacon?!" Yang gasped before a megawatt grin appeared on her face. "Fuck yeah!" She exclaimed in delight.
"Don't make a big deal out of it, Yang! I'm two years younger than everyone else, I don't want anyone to think I'm anything special!" Ruby called from downstairs.
"Too late for that!" Sky called back.
"Oh shut up, Sky!" The silver eyed girl retorted. Yang laughed at their banter before they entered the guest room.
"So, anything about yourself I should know?" The blondie asked as they sat down.
"Well…" The boy trailed off before he told Yang what he knew about Raven as carefully as he could.
He just hoped she didn't slug him into next week.
ThermalsniperN7: And that's chapter 1 out of the way. Sky and Ruby have met along with Yang… and Sky has a dominatrix fetish. Who would've guessed…
Dragon Emperor0: Well given what he's going to create in the time between the Timeskip between Vol. 3 & 4, it doesn't surprise me.
ThermalsniperN7: Oi, no spoilers! … But yeah. There's gonna be Sky x Glynda lemon eventually. Don't know when, though, so keep your eyes peeled for it.
Dragon Emperor0: Anyway guys, see you later.
