Louis "Louie" Goldenrod was a person who loved the night life in Vegas. Not for the casinos, or the bars, but because of the lights. He idly scrolled through Twitter looking at a game called Genshin Impact. His friends gushed about this game all the time. Honestly it wasn't his type of game, but he moves to the App Store to download it anyway. Couldn't hurt to try, right? He doesn't register the sounds of running before someone yanks him by his Tune Squad jacket before he feels an eruption of pain in his stomach and torso. He looks down, to see a multitude of bullet holes in his upper body. He was just used as a body shield. 'That's a lame way to go out.' That's the last thought he has before he keels over, and dies.

Or that's what he thought happened, anyway.

He wakes to the sound of a conversation. The voices are faraway and idle.

"Make sure to keep guard, but don't kill if not necessary."

"Of course, Lord Tartaglia."

Tartaglia... where had he heard that name before?

His eyes widen as he remembers.

Tartaglia, 11th of the Fatui Harbingers. Call me Childe!

Oh god. He just got isekai-ed. He checks for his phone. It's there. He gets up, then looks around. The harbingers is sitting at the base of a mountain. The same base of a mountain he woke up on. Their gazes meet.

...He should probably run.
