He ran through the open plain again, only this time he had found a path. It lead somewhere, seeing as it had been going on for a looooooooooooooooooooooooooong while now. Seriously, he had been running for two hours now. It was a tiring business, and he was also hungry. Louis pulls his Halberd from the place he stuck it in the ground, and looks to see some... hilkichurls, if he remembers correctly. They seem to be cooking something as well, and he saw many small crates as well as a chest. A purple one with a bow seemed to command two smaller ones. He decided he had nothing to lose by going and taking the camp, if not just to scour it for food himself. He worked out and knew how to fight, just not with a spear-axe hybrid thing.

He immediately lashed out at the one closest to him with Halberd and while cutting it, got a clubbing to the arm for his efforts. To Louie's credit, he recovered fast, and managed to lunge again, cutting it's arm deep this time. It had to recover, so it ran away. Louis was close to running after the monster, but saw a purple glint from the corner of his eye. And again, barely dodging an electrified arrow. it still nicked him though, and he felt it burn, bad. He then looked at the offender before hearing frantic steps. Both of the club hilkichurls were coming at him. From in front and behind. He didn't know what to do, and then looked at the axe part of Halberd, and an idea started forming in his head. He prayed that it would work. If it didn't

He waited until the few moments before two clubs would collide against his head. Then stabbed the one who came from the front, the injured one he fought first, and with a loud war cry, used the axe end of the weapon to cut the first, and violently swing at the second by spinning. His plan worked. Both were dead, and he looked at the third with newfound confidence. He rushed and saw it fire at him, aimed for his head.

Not again. I can't die again.

He dismisses Halberd, and rolled on the ground. He runs, not bothering summoning Halberd again and getting into a fist fight with it. He slugs the hilichurl in the face cracking the mask, and gets an uppercut to the face in response. He hastily retreats, and sees a red barrel, with what seemed like living lava slime instead. He brightens at the prospect of an ending to this battle. He lures it in by throwing a hard punch at it, and then getting at a distance where he could safely throw Halberd. He says a soft prayer, and and summons the spear, throwing it at the the barrel and praying to the archons or whatever that this would work. He hears a loud explosion a second after. when he checks, there's nothing but charred grass, and dirt thrown up by the explosion.

...It's over.

Now, to eat. He's too tired to think of anything else...

He walks slowly, and breathed in as he looked at the full moon. It had been a day since he took the camp, and he had used the rest of that day to recover, though he was still pretty beat up. and slept the night there, before continuing to follow the path. He stepped on stone instead of dirt. He looked at the ground, and then up at the massive building in front of him.

Was that a hotel built in a goddamn oversized tree?!
