AN: Technoblade never dies.
Xiao originally was going to smite the demons around this place after eating his almond tofu, (and he'd swear to Celestia and back that was the only reason he stayed in this place, even though it wasn't) but feeling the presence of someone, or something, similar to that girl, Qiqi if he wasn't mistaken, he immediately changed his mind. He would investigate this entity.
He quickly approached it, before coming to see a male, humanoid individual staring at him. But he knew better. Not all things are as they seem, Morax had taught him.
He held his spear at it's throat, before it spoke to him. "You know, holding a spear at someone's throat is a very bad first impression."
"What is your business in this place, spirit?" It truly was an ample way to describe the thing. Dead, but not letting go of the things and individuals it had grown to care about. Though there was one inconsistency in that theory.
"I'm corporeal, try again."
"Zombie?"
It would explain his corporeality, though he isn't emotionless, and hasn't shown any signs of forgetfulness either. And he has no adeptal energy either. The gods of Celestia are the ones who had to have reincarnated this poor soul. He had gotten it wrong. The human felt like a hollow shell, like something important was missing.
"...maybe. I don't really even know why or how I'm here to be honest."
Xiao sat down on the planks that held them so high in the sky. The mortal joined him.
"What is your name?"
"Lucas Goldenrod."
"I am Adeptus Xiao. Though if you ever find yourself in trouble, call my true name, Atalus."
He may have been telling himself it was because he couldn't let the mortal go and get himself killed for any reason again, so that he could discuss with Morax why Celestia reincarnated someone.
It really was the mortal reminding him of the others. He missed them all.
AN: Short and sweet, with a little insight as to what brought dearest Louie here to Teyvat.
